The salesman George was excellent to work with. He has been with this dealership for 13 years!! Extremely helpful and knows his stuff. George is your guy! Ask for him. He'll take care of you!

I bought a pre-owned Ford from AutoNation Chevrolet West Austin, and even when challenges arose, the team resolved everything efficiently and kept me informed at every step. Dan Lewis and Joe Reda deserve special thanks -they're true professionals who elevate AutoNation's reputation by what they do, not just what they say. I appreciated the individual approach and the fact that attention came even at the leadership level, though I'm a relatively small customer. Thanks to this experience, it's clear that this is where I'll be coming from now on-for both buying and servicing. Five stars.

Patrick helped my wife and I get out of a bad situation and into a fantastic car. He was by far the most helpful salesman I've ever had (and I've bought a lot of cars). After my past two experiences at Autonation I didn't plan on coming back, but Patrick was attentive and understanding to our situation and helped us out in ways I can't express. He got us out of a bad lease, and into a gorgeous EV Blazer that greatly helped the situation we needed to get out of. I'm not an EV guy, but this was the perfect situation for what we needed. Here we are a week later, and he's still returning calls, true to his word, and continuing to help us out. Even got my truck in to the right guys for an oil change quickly. By FAR the best car salesman I've ever come across, and renued my continual relationship with Autonation. Give this guy a raise.

Ok, I've always been semi-happy with my cars. Never have I been more comfortable/safe/happy and in control then in this 2023 Chevy Blazer! Jeff, Jonathan, George and their team helped me and my family get into it. When I mentioned I had outside financing from RBFCU, they had a little pushback (all salespeople do) but eventually accepted our "cash purchase". The Blazer was offered as a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) but hadn't been fully certified yet. We were offered a loaner, and it only took two days. After reading all the reviews about the service department, I will definitely be making appointments for all my service needs. We CANNOT be without our vehicles! Seriously though, if you're looking for a great deal on a used car, check them out. They regularly have vehicles priced BELOW JD POWER VALUES, and if you secure financing before showing up, you have all the power!

    Poor detail

Do not recommend!! They only care about the sale and once you sign they do not care about the customer and the leadership is unresponsive when valid issues are present. Last Wednesday we went to Autonation Chevrolet to look at a 24 Camaro convertible and trade our Corvette on it. We negotiated the deal with the salesman, left a deposit with the expectation that all the paperwork would be done along with the vehicle being cleaned up for a sign and drive on Thursday afternoon. I stopped by the dealer late Thursday morning to sign my portion of the paperwork. I met with the salesman to sign and verified all of the paperwork would be done and requested they do a good job cleaning up the car as it was a recent trade in and hadn't been detailed. The salesman indicated the paperwork would be ready and he would ensure the vehicle was cleaned up properly. We received a text indicating the vehicle was ready to pick up and set up a 3pm appointment to pick it up. Upon arriving at the dealership we found out NONE of the deal had been done. The finance manager had NO idea about it including that we had put a deposit down. He had to start calling banks etc. please keep in mind a loan app was completed on Wednesday afternoon! After over an hour of waiting for them to complete the deal we took delivery of the Camaro. Since late afternoon and traffic being bad the car was not looked over at that point. Once home we found grease still on the front bumper from the oil change, the interior had dust on the dash, seats not cleaned, adhesive from the window stickers on both side windows. I texted the salesman on Friday morning indicating how unhappy we were that the paperwork was not done but even more with the condition of the vehicle. He indicated he would get with the sales manager after he was done with the sale he was working. Never heard back so I emailed the sales manager John Amador with our concerns and requested a call back. NO response!!! After waiting for a couple of days I got the GM's info and forwarded the email to the sales manager to the GM Dan Lewis. Waited two days to give them a chance to make this right with NO response. I hope others read this survey and understand that the dealer ONLY wants to sell you a car and once you sign they will become unresponsive to legitimate issues. Pics don't do justice to how bad the car looked upon delivery.

During one of my daily searches on Auto Trader a new listing popped up for Mark Weinstein Motors. It was a "unicorn" vehicle - rare in existence - an older model, incredibly low mileage, in fantastic shape (barely driven) and the listed price was in the KBB green price range (either good or great price for the vehicle's value). I reached out to Mark, who was quick to answer any and all my questions. I was in Houston and I couldn't make the trip to Austin to see the vehicle until the weekend, but he graciously agreed to hold the vehicle for me without any downpayment once I had set an appointment for a third party inspection. Despite receiving other inquiries about the vehicle, he held it for me for almost a week and even stayed a little late on Friday for my husband's and my arrival into town. The test drive and purchase process were smooth and straightforward. Mark explained everything thoroughly and even went the extra step of fixing the temporary paper license plate on top of an old metal plate to make it more secure. It's another example of Mark's great customer service. Like his great communication from start to finish - phone calls and text messages were always answered promptly. He is good-natured and honest, which is hard to find in the car shopping business. I would recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle!

Right from the jump, he was incredibly straightforward. There was zero pressure, zero hassle, and absolutely no need to waste time haggling over the price. He gave it to us straight, which is so rare and refreshing in the car-buying world. Our Finance Manager, Michael was equally amazing. Financing a vehicle can usually feel like pulling teeth, but Michael made it a breeze. He was efficient, thorough, and just a great guy to talk to. I still can't believe it, but we spent a grand total of only three hours at the dealership. That included the test drive of three used Sequoias, picking the one we liked out of the three, the vehicle inspection, and getting all the final paperwork squared away with finance. We've all heard or experienced the horror stories of spending 6 to 8 hours at a dealership, but Chris and Michael valued our time and had us on the road in a flash. What stood out to us the most was the sheer respect we received. Walking into dealerships can sometimes feel intimidating, but Chris and Michael provided a truly delightful customer experience without a single ounce of judgment or prejudice. They treated us like family from the moment we walked through the doors. We love our new (used) Sequoia Capstone and we can recommend Toyota of Cedar Park without a doubt. I will not be doing business with this dealership again and strongly caution others to be very careful if they choose to do so. My wife and I came in to test drive a car and, after the test drive, submitted a credit application--explicitly authorizing a credit pull--with the clear intent to purchase the vehicle. We were told everything was in order and scheduled an appointment the following morning for my wife to move forward with financing and paperwork. At no point were we informed that the vehicle was still at risk of being sold. While my wife was on her way to completing the financing process, she received a call informing her that the vehicle had been shown to another couple and sold. This occurred despite our salesperson clearly communicating to management that this deal was essentially set. That information was dismissed, and management allowed another salesperson to show and sell the vehicle without extending us even the courtesy of a phone call to give us the opportunity to finalize the purchase--which we absolutely would have done. I work with dealerships regularly in my profession, and while you hear stories like this, you hope they are exaggerated or rare. Unfortunately, this experience proved otherwise. When I raised the issue with management, the response felt scripted, dismissive, and entirely policy-driven, with no ownership or genuine concern for how poorly this was handled. It became very clear that the priority was selling the vehicle as quickly as possible, regardless of fairness, professionalism, or existing commitments. The message sent was simple: once a faster or more convenient sale appears, an active and committed customer is expendable. That reflects a lack of integrity in both process and leadership. I previously had a positive experience purchasing from Toyota of Cedar Park, which makes this situation even more disappointing. This was not a failure of the salesperson I worked with--it was a management decision, and it speaks volumes about how business is conducted there. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this dealership. If you choose to do business here, proceed with caution and do not assume that verbal assurances, credit applications, or scheduled appointments mean anything unless a deal is fully executed. This dealership and its management team should be ashamed of themselves!

From the moment I found the exact make and model I was dreaming of on their website, I knew I had to act fast. Calling them up, I was immediately greeted by Duane, whose friendliness and personable approach instantly put me at ease. This being my first time buying from a dealership, I had my reservations, but Duane made the entire process feel straightforward and honest. What heightened my sense of urgency was hearing through the grapevine that someone else was interested in the same vehicle but wasn't ready to make the purchase. Knowing this, I felt an immediate push to secure the vehicle that very day. This sense of competition added an extra layer of excitement and determination to my car buying journey. The excitement to see the car in person drove me to make a 40-minute trip north, and it was worth every second. Upon arrival, my decision was cemented - I had to have that car that day. What impressed me the most was the transparency with which Duane presented my financing options, a refreshing change from the usual sales tactics. During the inevitable wait for bank feedback, Janie's thoughtfulness in offering snacks and water was a small but significant gesture that made the experience more comfortable. Then, Juan took over to discuss the next steps, insurance, and warranty details with such clarity and openness, it reassured me I was making the right decision. Despite the dealership nearing closing time, and my needing to manage logistical hurdles to drop off my mom's car and return, Janie and Juan assured me they'd wait, no matter how long it took. This level of commitment and understanding from a dealership was unexpected and deeply appreciated. My mom, too, was delighted by the kindness and professionalism shown by Janie over the phone. Finalizing the paperwork was smooth, filled with friendly banter and laughter with Juan, marking a perfect end to the day. I can't express enough gratitude towards Apple Leasing for their genuine approach, making sure their customers are not only satisfied but also well-informed and comfortable throughout the entire process. Their willingness to go the extra mile, ensuring we didn't have to juggle multiple cars home, was the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience. This was by far the most comfortable and reassuring dealership experience I've ever had. It's why I've never made a purchase until now, as most dealerships in the past seemed shady. I highly recommend Apple Lease Returns to anyone looking for a seamless, honest car buying journey. I'm over the moon with my Q50 and only wish I could personally thank everyone at the dealership one more time for their incredible service and support.

We bought this vehicle because of everything Subaru stands for: "94% of them are still on the road after 10 years", they're durable and long lasting, we're outdoorsy, gay, have dogs, all of the stereotypes check check check. We loved our service guy, but hindsight, we were screwed by this dealership: Every service--oil changes, filters, transmission services, inspections, and all recommended maintenance--was performed exclusively at Subaru Austin. Over those years, we spent well over $20,000 on service and repairs. For tens of thousands of miles (well before 60K), I repeatedly documented and reported transmission-related symptoms: Jerking and hesitation Poor acceleration and lack of power RPMs surging unpredictably Difficulty driving uphill Eventually, consistent burning smells Each time, we were told it could be the transmission but they were unable to diagnose any issue. At approximately 90,000 miles, Subaru of America agreed to cover 50% of major engine repairs (CVT front pump chain and CS head gasket), which required removing the engine and still cost us over $6,000 out of pocket. Less than 30,000 miles later, we were told the CVT had completely failed and needed to be replaced for $10,000, or we could purchase a used transmission with 66K miles for $2,800, or Subaru Austin would offer $12,000 for the vehicle. This came immediately after another disastrous service visit where: We spent $1,400 diagnosing the wrong AC issue Returned one week later for the actual issue (cracked radiator fan) after being given the car back The vehicle was returned to us damaged (front passenger door) We provided photo and video evidence proving the damage occurred during service. Subaru Austin initially agreed to repair the door properly, acknowledging it would require full repainting and blending, costing several thousand dollars. Instead, they later reversed course and offered a $500 check, stating management had "nixed" the repair. We were also told that if we sold the vehicle back to them, we would no longer be eligible for that $500. Here is where things crossed a line. We took the vehicle to CarMax, who offered $12,000, matching Subaru Austin's offer. CarMax did not detect the transmission failure. When we attempted to negotiate with Subaru Austin using this offer, we were asked whether CarMax knew about the transmission issue. We answered honestly: no. Subaru Austin then told us they would not increase their offer--but that if we sold the vehicle to CarMax with the bad transmission, they would still give us the $500 "courtesy" check. In other words, we were encouraged to offload a vehicle with a known major defect to another dealer so Subaru Austin wouldn't have to deal with it. Talk about deceptive trade practices and fraud!!! We refused and sold the car back to Subaru Austin. Three days later, the vehicle was listed on Subaru Austin's website for over $18,000, advertised as: One-owner Local trade All services completed at Subaru Austin There was no mention of transmission issues. Given the timeline, I highly doubt a $10,000 transmission replacement occurred before relisting. A few weeks later, the listing disappeared. Shoutout to whoever bought the green/java 2019 outback 3.6L with last 4 VIN#3377... If you are considering buying or servicing a vehicle here, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing, seeking independent diagnostics, and understanding that loyalty, documentation, and following all recommendations do not guarantee ethical treatment. This experience was financially devastating, emotionally draining, and completely avoidable.

The selling process is pretty simple if you do the bulk of the work online ahead of time. It starts with a self-appraisal of your vehicle, which generates an offer that may be adjusted when the car is brought in. If you like your offer, you must bring the car in within 7 days. I was reasonably pleased with my offer, which suggested they thought the car should sell easily for more than they paid for it. If you decide to sell your car within that 7-day timeframe, gather your title and registration documents and submit these along with proof that you're the owner(s). Each owner must submit copies of both sides of their driver's licenses and take a selfie. If everything required is submitted online, an approval is given and you can set up an appointment to come in. We did this on a Saturday, and while the place was busy our transaction was completed in about an hour. Still, I'd suggest you choose a weekday (if possible) to visit. I can't evaluate the buying side of things, but the selection of vehicles at this location is phenomenal, with many flavors of each model. I'm guessing that you will pay more for this convenience, but it might be well worth it.

I would rather have the expectations of being in a dealership for 5 hours instead of wasting my time online, filling out all of the documents and being under the impression that I would be in and out in 30 minutes and ask the same questions that were answered online and on the phone when someone from carmax called me. 1.. The process totally wasted my time. I spent a good amount of time online filling out all documentations.Answering all questions only to be asked those same exact questions. When I got to the dealership. 2. I got to the dealership roughly at 4:30. I was told that I would be out numerous times within thirty minutes. All I would have to do is sign and go. Well, that was the first misleading statement from carmax. I did not leave the dealership until 9:30. 3. The salesperson that was assigned to me.His name was ramsey. I never felt comfortable with this guy.He never made me feel as if my best interest was being met. The process felt just like a process.Give me in, get me out.Let him move on to the next person. He spoke to me in a very condescending wait, in fact, I had to correct him a couple of times about the way he was speaking to me. He spoke to me as f I was a individual who lacked the intelligence to understand the process. 4. Ramsay also didn't give me the full carmax experience of when you buy a new car. while waiting 44 and a half hours, I did see other salespeople. When they finished up their sale, walk with their clients to their new car and give them the yellow bow treatment with the pitcher. Well, needless, say that is not an experience that I got with ramsey. As I said previously, everything seemed like a rush process, he made me totally feel like I was an inconvenience to him.And wasting his time. 5. Let's talk about the appraisal process. Now, this isn't something that i'm really upset about, because you can't really have a vehicle appraised online and have an actual good appraisal without an actual appraiser.Looking at the car. Online, they told me, initially I was gonna get $8000 for my car, well, turns out, I only got $6400. 6. Let's talk about the car. I purchased a 2024 BMW 330I with the M2 Sports package with 7,100 miles on it. After spending 425 hours in the dealership, it was finally time for me to get my car. WELL THE FIRST THING I NOTICED WHEN I GOT INSIDE THE CAR WAS THAT THE FLOOR MATS WERE GENERIC FLOOR MATS THAT DID NOT FIT THE CAR AT ALL. AND WHEN I SAY THEY DID NOT FIT THE CAR AT ALL, MEANING THE FLOOR MATS ACTUALLY COVERED THE GAS PEDAL. i brought this to the attention of the floor sales manager. Instead of coming up with helpful solutions from the beginning I was told that the pitchers online did not come with floor mats.So they just threw some floor mats in there. Again, I told this guy that this is a safety issue. The floor mats literally covered the gas.Pedal, and they let me drive off that way. They told me to find some floor mats under a hundred and fifty dollars, and they were reimburse me. Now I'm not the sharpest knife in it. Kitchen drawer? But I would always think that a dealership's top priority is to make sure they're letting you leave in a nice safe vehicle At the very least, they could have said.Hey, let us take these car mats out this vehicle. And when you buy some new ones, just bring us the receipt and reimburse you.No that did not happen. 7. Let's continue to talk about the car. Before carmax sells your car. They are supposed to do a quality inspection on the vehicle. I'm under the impression that this vehicle did not get a dural quality.Inspection. My reasoning for saying that is because the following day When I took the car to where I work at which is ABM W dealership It was pointed out to me that the windshield had a very large crack in it. Now to give carmax credit, they did get that problem.Taken care of they replaced the entire windshield. The car was also missing all four valve stem caps. Does summit all up my first and last car buying experience with carmax was an utter failure. The only reason I left with this car is because of myself. Pride, because I was telling everyone I was buying this car, and I had to deal wrapped up.That's the sole reason that I bought this car. I'm pretty sure that ramsey and his entire sales team mayfield, as if they got one over me by selling me this car at the non negotiated price that I wanted online and then me still buying a car after the whole entire bad experience. Well I may have left with this car But carmax will never see me again as a customer, and I hope that these words read to someone before they make a decision to buy a vehicle from you all..

We decided to sell our Honda Accord Hybrid and needed George and Stephen to come to our house. They…read morewere very friendly and thorough. Stephen took time to inspect the car. We knew it wasn't in perfect shape but he pointed the issues out without making us feel bad about it. George was so nice and patient with us. We don't have a lot of experience with selling cars to dealerships and he took the time to make sure we understood everything. Just nice guys in general. We still prefer Hondas but we also prefer buying used cars. We plan to keep george in mind for our next used Honda.

If you want terrible service and lack of honesty, come get your car fix here! What started in…read moreDecember 2025 turned into a nearly six-month nightmare. My vehicle sat at this dealership for over a month during the first visit, and I received zero proactive updates from my service advisor. I had to personally track down the service manager just to get basic information. When my car was finally returned on January 28, 2026, the problem wasn't even fixed. In April, my car went into limp mode and had to go back in. New advisor, same experience -- weeks of silence, no updates, no communication. I was told it might be a transmission fluid issue, and that the ECM replaced during the prior visit may not have been the root cause. I paid for a repair that didn't fix anything. When I was told my car was ready and drove out to pick it up, it still wasn't repaired. To make matters worse, the underlying issue turned out to be a known Chevrolet service bulletin. For a repair tied to a known manufacturer defect, that is completely unacceptable. I escalated to the general manager, Jay, and while he did help get my vehicle returned, no meaningful effort was made to make this right. A verbal apology does not cover six months of poor communication, two failed service visits, and a bill that should never have been mine to pay. If you value your time, your money, or basic honesty, take your vehicle elsewhere.
