I'm back today to give Cowboy another try! This time I got another round of well made black coffee and I decided to give the gluten free (GF) apple butter pecan muffin a try. It's delicious! The apple butter was just the right amount to give each bite moisture and flavor. The muffin was just the right texture. The vibe in the cafe today was hip and happy. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I ordered a chai with almond milk and my sister ordered one with whole milk. Hers was fine and mine was completely sour. We even had our whole family compare and we all agreed that the almond milk one was not right (tasted rotten). I never ever tell places when things go wrong because I don't like to be a Karen but I decided to be brave and said "what's the worst that could happen?" I apologized for even complaining and who I would assume was the manager essentially yelled at me saying there's no way THEIR milk was rotten, and that they'd need to charge me for a new one. I told them oh no that's okay and walked out and then cried because of how mean this woman was to me. I'm a matcha lover, but it's been a while since I've gotten it. They have London Fog here and I wanted to try it because it's unusual to see it in coffee shops other than Starbucks. Since I've only London Fog at Starbucks that is my only comparison. The London Fog here isn't too sweet which was nice and light in flavor. Took a cowboy croissant and PSL to Jenny Lake to enjoy by the water and it was magical! Granted, it took over 30mins to order and get my food, but it was a great experience. The workers were really nice and pleasant. A person took one of my coffees and they remade it for me in an upgraded size, how nice! It was extremely packed even on a Sunday mid afternoon, but there aren't that many options around Jackson hole that offer a good grab and go lunch and coffee. Went here twice on a Monday and Tuesday morning. Line out the door both days. First day we waited in line. Coffee was good but they definitely need more than one person on bar. About a 45 min wait in line then a 30 min wait for drinks after ordering. Next day we decided to order online. Ordered at 8:15am told it was ready at 8:40. Got there at 8:40 was not ready. Waited for 10 min then one of us got in line while the other waited for drinks. We couldn't order any fresh pastries online so figured maybe while we waited for drinks we could wait in the 30 min line and grab our pastries. 20 min after order was supposed to be ready (9am) I finally got the attention of someone and asked to check on my order. The cups were sitting on a back counter this whole time. She put them in line with the other drinks to be made and finally 20 min later we had pasties and coffees. Listen, fun flavors, I'll give them that but truly don't be in any kind of rush. Give yourself an hour and a half to get coffee Togo and you'll be ok. If you do order online check in at the pick up counter immediately and you hopefully won't have to wait as long. Good luck! read more
