I'd bookmarked Cowboy Coffee to try when I was in town because I'm always on the hunt for great coffee, hoping someday someone will put Starbucks out of business and supply this world with actual quality coffee. I'd had a latte from another spot not too long before I stumbled upon Cowboy Coffee so I decided I'd order an almond chai latte instead. It was the perfect warm bevvie to have in hand on my walk back to my hotel and can we just talk about their cups for one second...???? Ummmm, the CUTEST ever!!! I seriously contemplated packing the paper cup to bring home with me. I thought it was a little crazy so I parted ways with it but this spot is QUALITY, even down to the attention and money they put into the product your drink will be in. Highly recommend! read more

I've seen stickers and merch with the Cowboy Coffee logo advertised just about everywhere in the country. You feel like you've been here already from the sheer amount of exposure you've had to the café already/and when you step inside it's like you're finally home. Cowboy Coffee is a bustling and busy hub, posh locals and travelers alike pack into open seats to see and be seen over a hot cup o' joe and fancy brioche breakfast sandwiches. I had a Mexican Mocha which I'm used to tasting both sweet, strong and spicy! The one here was just strong and a bit bitter, not great. Boyfriend had a nitro cold brew which is like coffee beer, without the alcohol. Service was, in a word, "meh". All in all, I think there are better coffee shops in town, but I wanted to visit because of it being so renowned, and I'm glad I did, but I won't be back. read more

The wait was a little longer than your average Starbucks run, however the wait was worth the incredible quality of each and every item. We tried several things from the menu. First, the Cowboy Burrito was delicious. The chorizo was a great texture and was balanced out nicely by the crispy hash browns inside. They also served it with a side of Cholula hot sauce which added to the flavor greatly. It was the perfect kick needed to bring this burrito to the next level! Very delicious Next, we tried the Huckleberry Mudpot (both iced and hot). They were both delicious! Smooth taste and not overly sweet, just how I like it! For the iced one, the boldness of the espresso is what first hits you, followed by a white chocolate, and milky creaminess. Lastly, you taste a subtle but distinct huckleberry flavor that leaves you wanting more. Very very good! Highly recommended Lastly, their gluten free muffins were fantastic. We got the chocolate chip banana muffins, and they had a spongy consistency that's very hard to find in most gluten free muffins. They tasted very fresh and were enjoyed from first bite to last. Used yelp to find a quick breakfast spot on the way to the airport. Again using my 4 star, 50 review criteria we hit paydirt... Great coffee and a small but delicious breakfast menu that was altered to my keto tastes I had a double espresso which was very tasty and a ham and cheese melt with 2 eggs meant for a brioche or croissant which I had held. It came in a cup and the cheese was melted and stringy. The eggs were over cooked for my taste (solid yolk) but I gave no direction. Table service was from the line cook which was kinda cool. Place was mobbed on a Saturday by the time we left. 1015am. Definite recommend! read more

We stopped here for a quick breakfast while on vacation. There are two tables and a long counter to stand at and face the wall. I ordered the Cowboy breakfast sandwich and my husband had the breakfast burrito. They were out of croissants so I had mine on brioche. Both were pre-made and in a heater thing on the counter. The breakfasts were fine, nothing I would get all fired up about or even bother reviewing. The two tables were occupied so we stood at the counter and faced the wall. Cool. Like most visitors, I was excited to try this place and get some good quality coffee. Unfortunately Cowboy Coffee fell short of my expectations. To start, the staff was not welcoming at all. There was no greeting, no suggestions, no type of welcoming gesture at all. They just stared blankly waiting for you to order. The barista stood in one spot most of the time on her phone. For a place hot with tourist traffic, they could be a lot friendlier. As for the food, the croissant was nice and flaky. The croissant sandwich as a whole was "meh". There was not a lot of flavor at all. The bacon was "microwave bacon" quality and the egg was over cooked. The coffee was alright. Just alright. You'll see a line out the door, but don't let that fool you. The service here is terrible, and the food and coffee are mediocre. Had a terrible experience ordering food based on an allergy. Without telling me they could not omit the allergen (egg) as I ordered they still made the burrito and charged me for it. Upon request for a refund the snarky worker said "we can't do that it'd be difficult". Avoid! read more

I got an oat milk honey badger latte and it was excellent. I'm not one for too spicy of foods but this had a delicious kick. The wait was long to order at 9 am on a Sunday but that's to be expected. Once we ordered, the drinks came out quickly. read more

Stopped by here on the way back into town from a day in the Tetons. The line was long, but handled quickly. The guys were super nice and friendly. Thanks to a recommendation from the desk clerk at our hotel my hubby and I stopped in Cowboy Coffee. Thanks to Kirsten R's comment about a Cubano coffee, that was my selection. Not unlike a breve, but with a little sugar brewed in with the espresso for just a soft kiss of sweetness, it was a delicious vacation coffee treat. My husband was also happy to find he could get Harney tea. Nice people work here and the barista knows his stuff. Prices on par with other Jackson coffee houses. In addition to coffee and tea beverages were a few eats. Baked things from e.leaven and Persephone, salads, sandwiches and a couple of breakfast options. All posted on chalkboard above coffee counter. A little dark inside, but they have standard height tables (woohoo) in the mix along with high perch counter height seats. If you are fortunate enough to get one of the three (?) outside tables you'll have a great view on to the tourist traffic in Jackson square. (See photo). I'll admit, as sacrilege as it may be, that I didn't find a lot to like about Jackson downtown. But Cowboy Coffee was on the short list of things to like a lot. read more

Food is okay, nothing special really. Visited twice in three days. First visit had the breakfast croissant. First off, the croissant was very large and dense. Not what I think of for a croissant. Everything else on it was good. Second visit I did the breakfast burrito and that was much better. Very filling, in a good way. Not a coffee drinker but my wife is and she can be very particular. She gives it a strong thumbs up. Do not be discouraged by the line. It typically moves quickly and the staff were very friendly. read more

It's no wonder this place always has a line out to the street! The specialty drinks are innovative (looking at you, Mexican Mocha with cayenne pepper) and well-made, the merchandise is fun, and the breakfast items looked fresh and delish (we didn't try any). Cowboy Coffee also displays art from local artists, and it's actually really cool. We were thisclose to buying a print, but decided to hold off until next trip because we had no room in our bags. Loved this place!! We stopped in Jackson Hole for less than 24 hours during a road trip. After checking out of our hotel we were in need of some good coffee before hitting the road again and decided to give this place a try. I read up on reviews and it did not disappoint. I couldn't help but try the snickers latte as it sounded divine. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not overly sweet, but just right with subtle hints of almond and chocolate. I'm a fan! Can't wait to stop in again some day. read more

I'm so glad I'm in Jackson tomorrow so I can go back. The coffee is great and you can buy it whole bean to take home. I had the Huckleberry Mudpot. It wasn't overly sweet so you could enjoy the taste of the coffee bean but the flavor of huckleberry was amazing. They have Gluten Free food options as well including a gluten free cinnamon strudel. If you didn't know that it was gluten free you would not be able to tell. Bonus... they have some fun coffee items including a coffee percolator. They were out at the moment but they have them available online and it will be waiting for me when I get home. read more

Great local coffee shop we stumbled upon after the Starbucks line was too long. We went here every single morning during our week long vacation. Fantastic coffee. Cowboy Coffee began as one of the first local coffee roasters in Jackson Hole. The bagels itself were a little on the thicker side, they were toasted but not much as seen from the pictures. They were pretty doughy, not a personal favorite. The workers were nice and gave recommendations for favorites. They also were pretty fast so it didn't take long to go in and out.

The manager literally watched a 5 year old girl's ice cream fall off the the cone, turned her mom and said "I'll have to charge you for another one". Despite what is some of the best ice cream in town, I would never come back and do business with a company that doesn't even have a sense of decent customer service, much less any form of Wyoming hospitality.

Cowboy Coffee is a great little spot in Jackson Hole with multiple locations. I went to the on in "downtown". The drip coffee was solid--nothing too fancy, but definitely tasty. I grabbed a latte too, and it had a nice balance. Not too milky, and you could still really taste the espresso, which I appreciated. The vibe is cool--kind of touristy, but in a fun way. They've got cute merch, some local art for sale, and even a few outlets if you need to plug in for a bit. It's a good place to chill for a while. Only downside for the coffee nerds out there: their espresso drinks come in different sizes, which means they don't always follow the traditional espresso-to-milk ratios. Not a huge deal, but worth knowing if you're particular. Overall, a cozy, friendly place with good coffee and a nice local feel. Also notable, cute merch and branded beans to buy. read more

This is my favorite coffee shop in town! I met one of the owners, Pete, last time I was in and got to chat with him a bit. The shop feels truly local, despite being in the touristy area near town square. He explained how he tries to keep a relaxed atmosphere and keep prices reasonable.
