When walking around Jackson I stubbled upon CocoLove and decided to come in from a sweet treat and 'lunch'. The location is just a block off the main square with the Wort Hotel just across the street and some art galleries which is a great place while roaming. I recommend if you are looking for a unique dessert with coffee! The French Dessert/patisserie has a variety of goods--not all shown. On the far left there is flavored chocolates (bonbons?) with a range of flavors (when I went) from Huckleberry + Vanilla, tea, etc. it looked like you had to buy a minimum box of 6 for 24$ but I could be incorrect on that. Next case had a variety of desserts, which is where the huckleberry chocolate out of (abt 9$). They do run out of pastries as the day goes on so something specific from yelp might not be in there. Next case has about 10 flavored of gelato. The following case has savory pastries like feta cheese-mushroom or ham croissants in addition to sweeter goods like croissants and cookies. There is indoor seating (about four two tops), a bench outside, and takeaway pastry or chocolate boxes if to go. When I walked in it was pretty crowded but the service was efficient. Luckily there was enough space for me to dine-in with a comfy spot against the wall. (Note: The other side of the table had soft and wide stools but with no back). (Note #2: When eating in you get ceramic plate + silverware with a plastic cup for cold drinks; there is a little station near the entrance for trash and plates). The chocolate-Huckleberry dessert was delicious. It had chocolate roses (with texture!!!) on top and a marbled silver-purple chocolate surrounding the cake and huckleberry filling. Very beautiful and I really enjoyed the sweet but also tart huckleberry with the chocolate. It was a bit of a mess to eat but I am more than okay with that! I would recommend it! I was able to get the feta-something-mushroom croissant warmed for lunch, which was pretty tasty. Nice flakiness and the middle with the filling was a nice mix. If you are stopping for lunch/breakfast and want something a little more substantial to your meal/snake then I recommend. They also had a ham-something-Jalapeño but I wasn't sure on how strong the pepper would be. Lastly, I had a matcha latte. It can come in a variety of sizes and I believe with the option of cold or hot. It was good-decent but not my favorite matcha-- the flavors were more milk heavy. But that is likely just my current preference--some places I have gone recently have it stronger and some have it sweeter; so take it as you will. It did have the nice crushable ice which I munched on with the concentrated matcha at the end though. As for the drink menu they had more non-coffee options like hot chocolate, turmeric latte, etc along with (what is maybe standard? coffees---don't drink them) like cappuccinos, mochas, etc. along with drip and affogatos. read more

Came through with that mid afternoon snack! It was July 4th, we were walking around town, checking it out, building up an appetite. Thank goodness this place was open bc I needed my snack attack. Now, I don't like chocolate (*gasp* I know), and they had a wide assortment of non-chocolate goodies. The one I selected was an elevated granola bar in the best way possible. I love a one-stop-shop for coffee and desserts. CocoLove had artisan truffles, gelato, and French desserts like petits gateaux and choux pastries. It wasn't busy when we arrived around 6:30pm on a Saturday, but I felt like we had just beat a rush of people. I got a 6-piece box of truffles including 2x vanilla huckleberry, saffron, balsamic honey, matcha coconut, pistachio raspberry. Each one had a delicate chocolate case, and the center filling was bursting with their respective flavors. I particularly loved the balsamic honey, matcha coconut, and pistachio raspberry. We also got one of the cocoa covered truffles. The flavor of choice was the salted caramel, which was rich and decadent. Now that I got the truffles out of the way, I can't wait to be back to try their Parisian flan, lavender cake, and gelato. read more

Very impressed with the array of offerings at CocoLove. It has everything from uniquely designed truffles to macarons to exquisite pastries to sorbet / gelato options and even a brownie muffin that makes you wonder why it required a trip to Wyoming to get exposed to this dessert. If you have a sweet tooth, you have a lot to consider here. The staff was super friendly in answering my questions. We bought some items and ate inside the shop, which was clean and welcoming for purposes of a casual, gourmet, dessert experience. Owner would NOT acknowledge my husbands knock on the business door literally 1 minute after closing. Yes, my husband can't find his cash card & we fly out soon. Its not the business's fault but after not acknowledging his knock my husband said just come to the damn door! The guy starts freaking out. Pies, cakes, tarts, and macarons were gorgeous. The ambiance was well put together and chic however was extremely homely. We arrived about 7:10 for coffee and a few sweets. The lady operating the front was pretty straight forward when it came to sitting down an hour before close as we weren't allowed to. She also could not make coffee products an hour before close because she had also cleaned the wands on the espresso machines. This was frustrating due to fact we stopped in for the dessert menu and coffee products available. read more

Thank you staff of CocoLove for ruining what was a nice evening on vacation. We just finished a delicious meal at Thai Plate and wanted to pick up something sweet to take to our hotel. We walked in and were treated as if we should not be there. I picked up that vibe, my husband did not. I picked a small chocolate carmel dessert TOGO but was firmly told they were closing in 5 minutes. We were not planning on eating there. Totally unnecessary to emphasize closing and if staff rushed to close, close your damn door first. We saw that they were going to close in 10 mins so we ran over there and were going to grab a few things for the road. The door was unlocked, we walked in with 6 mins to spare and she informed us they were closed. We said we thought you closed at 8. She said yes, but we are closed. I try not to go in right before closing but, it was dessert and to go...so it would have been quick. So we can't say if we like their treats but, the customer service gets a big 0 stars! read more

Very poor customer service. One person working, she was chatting with personal matters with a friend, didn't pay any attention to us, then tried to help another customer who came in way after us. Walked in a few nights ago while walking around the town. There was someone in there ranting and raving about how the cookies were "to die for" and the chocolate was amazing. Naturally -- it peaked my interest and I circled back last night. The store itself is different from the general vibe in Jackson Hole so I was really impressed and liked how they stood out from the crowd. I got a "exotic macaroon" and a chocolate chip cookie. I was planning on getting ice cream and some chocolates but I decided against it. My partner wanted two different flavors of gelato in a small cup. It was a literally a micro cup -- but that's what she wanted and could have totally been done but the lady behind the counter said no. My partner was torn between the two flavors of expresso and the strawberry so she asked if she could try one of them to make her final decision. She said no again. After that we decided to go with two safety options : a macaroon and a chocolate chip cookie. We left and I was so excited I bit into the macaroon that was supposed to taste like passion fruit and mango and didn't taste a thing. So I asked my partner to try it -- nothing. She actually said "it tastes like bubble gum". I tried it again and started laughing because the after taste was definitely bubble gum!! Okay fine -- the exotic flavor was a bust, let's try this cookie the person from the night before was ranting and raving about! I took a bite, nothing. Flavorless. I asked my partner what she thought she said "it's soft" LOL. We busted out laughing and wished we went up the block to any of the other ice cream shops. I was looking for something special to cure a sweet tooth after a long day of skiing when I saw CocoLove on Yelp. It's located right downtown and easy to find! The shop is small, so I could see it getting crowded. They had chocolates, desserts, pastries, teas, and coffees. I went with a huckleberry chocolate mousse for $8 that was indulgent, rich, thick, and delicious. It wasn't very sweet, but still capable of giving somebody a sugar high. I wanted to try the chocolates but at $2+ for each little square I decided to save that for another time. Overall, I thought it was a little overrated and overpriced. But I'd still be willing to try a couple more things to fully make up my mind. I'm from SLC and we have an amazing dessert shop that I'm in love with (Fillings and Emulsions) so I can be a pretty rough critic when it comes to desserts. read more

These desserts were very unique and really tasty! The tres leche had the classic tres leche cake taste with a fruity addition adding a little sweetness. The strawberry tart was traditional, but also very good. The Mani was a peanut butter pastry that was really unique and had a gooey center. Each of them were unique really good. Highly recommend, especially to escape the crowds of Jackson! We were planning on going to Cowboy Coffee, but it was too crowded and chaotic. Just found the nearest coffee place which was CocoLove, and it was an amazing break from the crowds on the main strip. The atmosphere felt like a European chocolatier, very chic and a fun experience in the middle of rustic cowboy themes. My husband got an iced coffee and croissant, and said it was a strong brew just like he enjoys. I was tempted to get the Coconut Gelato Horchata, but got a chai latte and dark truffle. Chocolate by Atelier Ortega, apparently this is one of two stores here. The chocolates are beautifully crafted and taste even better, it doesn't get any better. If you think to yourself "not craving chocolate truffles really", just buy yourself a box and you'll be glad you did. We wished we had bought more but will just go online and get more, the chocolates literally melt in your mouth and give you just the right amount of flavor whether it be wasabi or raspberry filling, it's just done so well. Google him and you'll be surprised by this Jackson gem and that he decided to open up a shop in this little town. Had a lavender gateau while there and can't say I have had anything like it ever before. I really enjoyed the layers of surprise and the flavors all coming together in a beautiful snowball look. CocoLove is a must try spot for anyone visiting Jackson Hole. As soon as you walk into the cafe you will be instantly drawn to the glass case of beautiful desserts! All of them look way to pretty to eat, but you gotta do what you gotta do! There was one guy working in there when we went and he was amazing. We only asked him 101 questions, and he answered every single one without making us feel like we were a bother. He suggested his favorite dessert, the Fromage Blanc, and it did not disappoint. It's one of the best cheesecakes you'll taste. We also tried the chocolate tart, that one was okay. The coffee was not the best at CocoLove, but I would still come back and maybe try a tea instead. Saw the shop while we were walking through town on our first night in Jackson and made a promise to myself to not leave until I've tried this place. The interior was beautifully designed, worthy of a Vegas hotel location. The baristas know their stuff. The Chocolate gelato as well as the Scracciatella gelato were creamy and full of flavor. The Mexican Hot Chocolate was thick and very good. It was spiced enough to cut through the richness of the chocolate, but not so much it interfered with my chocolate enjoyment. The Caffe Affogato was strong and very good. Though it was strong, i didn't get that weird feeling I get around the jaw and that awful coffee aftertaste. Good thing they have a large water dispenser at the front. All those strong flavors! Whew! read more

This place! What a fluffy and chocolate croissant! Had the pastries from here served a few doors away at the hotel, and after brunch, raced over to buy more chocolate croissants. I almost cried when they said they ran out, but just hen a new delivery of goodies came through the door. Didn't have any room left in my tummy for the chocolate goodies, but I will be back!
