I inquired about a used GMC Acadia they had. I spoke with Vanessa to verify the price as it was a few thousand more than any others I could find. I explained I would be coming in the next day and we had just had a baby the day before, time was limited, we needed a car but I did not want to make the 3 hour drive from Dallas, be away from my new family for a day and not get to buy the car. Again, assurances were made that the price was correct and they are a volume dealer so the price will be cheap and certainly not a mistake. Again, I checked, again they assured. So, I left Dallas at 5am the following morning, stopping half way for breakfast. I checked their website and the car had increased in price by nearly $10k!! No real apology from Vanessa and still no call back from the manager, these guys are even worse than your game playing time wasting stereotypes and are only out for themselves.... Took my car here , 2015 Kia Forte for a maintenance . Car was running just fine before afterwards I'm heading to Florida and the car rides sluggish . I'm thinking maybe that's because I just had a maintenance done and it just needs to adjust , Then the check engine light comes on with only 82 miles to go. I'm nervous with my child in the car . I pull over and someone stopped checked my car out and said I should be able to make it but get straight to a dealership ! Went in because of an online price we saw. Didn't find out until 1 1/2 hours in that this price was only for ex-military, recent college grads, or uber drivers. We would have to pay full price. That's fine but not sure why they didn't tell us that up front when we asked. So the monthly payments were $400 more than what we asked for. All of this would have been fine if James hadn't been so rude to us. We tried to explain that if the car wasn't going to be sold to us for the discounted price we couldn't afford it. He said he worked the numbers and could give it to us for $100 more a month than we asked for. When we said no that's not our budget he got mad and said "I'm doing everything I can. You have to remember this is a two way street". No it's not. We want the car for the price we asked. If you can't make that happen we leave. Seems like a one way street to me. I just didn't like how he tried to use rudeness or scare tactics to get us to pay more than we said we could. He made it a very high stress situation when it didn't need to be. If he had been more relaxed and kind we probably would have looked at other cars like he suggested but by that point we felt insulted and ready to leave. THEY WOULD NOT HONOR THE PRICE! There was no misunderstanding and there was no explanation. The sales manager said it was impossible for him to sell me the car for that price. The price he offered was several thousand dollars higher. They blatantly lied and as I stood there with all my quotes and emails in my hand, I wondered how ashamed Kia would be if they knew what goes on here. I have had great experiences with Cowboy Kia even though I purchased my car elsewhere. Every time I have had to go there they were fast and really nice and helpful. They helped me get warranty coverage after my claim was denied, they look out for issues on my car that I don't notice, and they really make me feel like they care about me having a safe and reliable vehicle to transport my kids rather than always trying to sell me something new. Drove an hour from Houston. Of course, when you get there the salesperson tells you that you have to "qualify for the internet price", which they don't tell you on the internet. Waited at least 30 minutes while the salesperson absolutely just disappeared while waiting for her to tell me the true price on the car. Salesperson comes back to the desk and tells me it will be another 20 minutes waiting time because the sales mgr. is in a meeting. So, after being lied to on the internet from a false advertisement, and after being abandoned for over 30 minutes - I politely left the dealership. Went next door to Nissan. They gave me a price instantly. After a brief negotiation, I bought a great car at a fantastic price (below true car price value dot com). One of the sales managers at Cowboy Kia then calls me on the phone and condescendingly asks me "what could I have possibly been thinking for going next door when their prices are higher?" Unbelievable. I was ready to buy at Kia, but they lied, abandoned me with no communication, and then they call me and confront me for leaving, as if I'm the idiot in this situation. They advertise one price and give another!!! Im only giving them one star because I have to. I guess this is what we get for not reading the reviews before driving 3 hours from Fort Worth to go buy a truck. We called before hand two different times to check the price and make sure it was in stock and we hit road ready to go buy it that day. When we arrived the truck was $2,000 more than advertised plus $2,400 more in "accessories". They then told us the list price was if you payed cash....we told them we would...and their story changed again saying they had $1,600 in it and had to at least charge us that much extra. They also were trying to over charge us tax and tried to tell us their computer was down where they figure out TTL. It was a total mess. It took them 20 minutes to even locate the keys to the truck. Worst used car buying experience ever. Went to the finance department to finalize the deal. They were matching our finance and when it all came down to the end they were making us purchase an extra hundred thousand mile warranty and gap insurance. This ultimately raised the monthly price. We eventually told them we would just use our finance company and that we were pre-approved and they told us that they would not sell us the car unless we used their financing. to whom this may concern. I have lost all respect for this dealership we bought previously from them in 2013 and recently tried again in 2016 . Prior to attempting to buy recently I explained to the sales personnel what we would like to do ( trade both vehicles in ) and just buy a newer suv. I told them I was worried about my some what low credit score of 520-530 and our situation . During the sales process they supposedly had a banking institution that would do the deal at no money down and my worst case scenario price of 790.00 which I was ok with but they wanted us to go ahead and take the new suv while they try working with the bank to get us a lower rate . We were pressed for time that night do to losing a family member and having to travel for a funeral the next day , so my wife drove the new suv and they kept her trade in so she didn't rack up anymore miles on it. A week of them shot gunning our credit everywhere they finally emailed us back on 2-2/2016 and simply said sorry deal can't get approved . So now we returned them their car and got ours back and I am now dealing with a even lower credit score of 430 cause they ran my credit for a week trying to make a deal . Not to mention my wife getting upset and (getting her little heart crushed ) . I told them I didn't want to take the new suv but they were certain it was a done deal ... These people are very unprofessional didn't even apologize for making us go thru this multiple late nights and playing the waiting game at the dealership only to have them damage my credit even more . I have alway done all my service work at Kia and I promise after this adventure I will never go back I don't care if my oil change is 12 dollars I'll pay 40-50 somewhere else . This place sucks. I bought a car last Thursday. A 2016 Kia Forte lx. Out 300 bucks down. Signed paperwork. Ran my credit. Left 4 hours later thinking all is great. I was so happy I got a new car. Fast forward to 4 days later. I went back to get my windows tinted. As I was leaving. The finance guy wanted to talk to me. He said none of the banks they deal with will not finance my car. Please save your time and do not do business with Cowboy Kia. I reached out to Cowboy Kia because I was interested in purchasing a 2015 Kia Forte Koup that was listed on their website. I have talked to several people at this dealership and they are all walking disasters. First, I waited almost two hours just to speak to someone in sales. Once that happened I was actually hopeful that the deal would go through. I test drove the car and really like it. I worked with Colt (sales person) and told him my price range. He suggested I get the 2016 model to get a better price. There are several signs on this lot that state the best price is the internet price. I questioned how the 2016 model could be cheaper than the internet price of the 2015 model. His answer was unclear but I chose to move forward with the 2016 model. The first offer that was presented to me was $60 above my maximum price. I declined. The second offer was $30 above and I declined as well. At that point I had already been at the dealership for 4 hours. I was more than ready to go. I asked for my keys and as I was driving away, finance walked out to my car and gave me an offer that I was looking for. I declined because I couldn't imagine sitting there for another hour waiting on finance to draw up the paperwork. This dealership moves very slow and is not equipped with enough staff to meet their demand. Several customers walked out during the time I was there. This dealership must realize the percentage of getting a customer to return to their lot is really low once that customer has left. So today I reached back out to Colt and asked if the offer was still available. He originally assured yes. A few hours later Colt reached out to me saying the 2016 model they were trying to sell me on Saturday was really a 2015. This was quite upsetting but I asked if we could move forward with the 2015 model. He stated the 2015 did not have rebates. I was more than fine to move forward. He told me they would be unable to earn my business. I did not understand and Colt would not elaborate. So I reached out to Claudia (Internet Sales). She also would not elaborate and ended her two sentence respond by saying the car I wanted had already been sold. I called the dealership and spoke to someone different and was assured the model I was looking at was still available. Please do not do business with these people. It's unclear how a dealership does not know they are selling 2015 model and not a 2016. I also reached out to KIA and searched the KBB/Blackbook value of the 2015 model and I am positive that the MSRP for the 2015 model is not the same as the 2016 model even on new 2015 vehicles. I had a very bad experience with this dealership and will not recommend it to anyone. There was a Highlander listed on the website. I talked to the dealership to check the availability of the vehicle and told them that I will be driving from San Antonio to check the vehicle (its 3.5 hours' drive). They confirmed the availability and gave me an appointment. I called them again when I was half way to confirm the appointment, and they confirmed it again. When I reached the dealership the receptionist told me that vehicle has gone for servicing to Toyota showroom across the road and cannot be seen today. When I asked them that why did they gave me an appointment, they did not have any answer. I told the receptionist that I want to talk to manager to give the feedback. They asked me to wait in the waiting room. I waited for one hour and kept on reminding them but no one came to talk to me. I had to just leave the place. Worst experience! PLEASE AVOID. I called to buy a Merc 2015 C 300 that they had advertised. Talked to the Receptionist who made me wait 12 mins and then abruptly hangs up, called again and he acted like nothing happened and no apology. Talked to the Salesman Israel who confirmed that the car was available (VIN given). Asked him to hold the car till 3pm as I would be driving from Dallas TX. Long story short I get there, not only did the sales man not acknowledge me being there he went ahead and handed me over to someone else. Now to add insult to injury they bring in the wrong Mercedes, same color but different generation, like you can't be serious!! They then without any regard or remorse proceed to tell me they sold the car!! these people are the worst scum and are pathetic. Submitted to the BBB I bought a car on 04/02/2016 when Cowboy KIA was running a promotion to receive a $300 gift card for purchasing a car. I was told on 07/01/2016, 3 months later I would not be receiving this card because the promotion ended before I purchased the car even though the promotion was still being advertised at the dealership, on the internet, and throughout the negotiations. I was told by manager Justin Reyes on 07/01/2016, after 3 months of calling and asking about the gift card that I would not be receiving the gift card because the promotion had ended either on March 28th or 29th but for some reason when I went in on 04/02/2016 the promotion was still being offered to me and was a part of the sales negotiation. The night of April 2nd I had direct conversations with management and my sales associate Trinidad about how the $300 gift card was an extra incentive I would be receiving in order to further reduce the purchase price of the car. I think the shadiest part about the whole transaction came from the sales associate Trinidad. I was told directly from him in order to receive the gift card I needed to rate him as excellent on KIA's short survey they send out. Any response other than excellent and I wouldn't be receiving the gift card. Also, I was told by Trinidad I would need to go on Yelp and Dealerrater.com and give him and the dealership an excellent rating as part of the things I needed to do in order to receive the gift card. I knew right off this was total garbage but wanted to comply in order not to hinder the receipt of the gift card. One last item, I was also told by Justin Reyes on 07/01/2016 that this was a KIA corporate sponsored promotion and it was out of his hands and could do nothing else for me. I called KIA corporate today 07/05/2016 to file a complaint and learned that this was not a KIA corporate promotion but a dealership promotion. So the lies continue. I feel that I'm not the only customer who is affected by this since I have seen recent posts on various websites detailing the same scenario. If indeed what Mr. Reyes told me is true and the promotion did in fact cease on 03/28/2016 then there was a 5 day window where this promotion was still being offered to customers but not being paid out. I feel Cowboy KIA made affirmative misrepresentations when advertising there $300 gift card promotion and could be effecting hundreds of their customers since they calm to be a volume dealer. read more

Either he won't answer nor call me back. If I did luck out & made contact with him, he would say let me check on it. *I'll call you back. He didn't. Now he tells me it has expired. Well I guess so! DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HERE!!! They are trained to use dishonest business tactics and could care less how disrespectful they are when speaking to customers. I read multiple negative reviews online about the customer service here being really poor however, I still made a visit to the dealership thinking it wouldn't be so bad because I was very interested in one of their vehicles. Boy was I wrong! Veronica Hewitt was our sales person. She was nice and friendly until she found out that we would not be buying the car on that day. (She just couldn't understand that we needed to still do our own research before committing. And thank goodness we did because she lied about aftermarket alterations she would sell to us that come to find out can't even be done.) We initially came in to see a specific vehicle and she didn't even try to tell us details about the maker or model of the car. She didn't know about the vehicle features, mileage, cost, NOTHING AT ALL. She was just very uniformed especially considering the fact that we called in advance to say that we were coming and she too even called me to confirm the car we were looking for. Luckily we had already done all of our research and knew enough about the car so we were ok with looking over it and doing things by ourselves. After viewing the car we went back inside to meet her at her desk just to get the cost. We already came in with our own loan financier however, she stated that she just wanted to check in the system and ensure that the interest rate that they gave in advance matches. I told her I did not want my credit to be ran and she assured me TWICE that matching it in the system was only going to be a "soft-pull". (Side note: During the time that she left us waiting at her desk there was another customer in the area that was so upset with the salesman assisting her that she yelled "Do not bring him near me! I do not want him working with me!" so someone else had to assist the customer. Red flag moment maybe?) Moments later when we had to leave, she swings her arms up in the air waving them and with an attitude said, " You made me do all this work for nothing!!!" and didn't say a word to us afterwards. We were stunned! What work did you do? All we asked for was the cost of the car in which you still haven't provided us with? The next day she sends me a friendly message in regards to still selling me the car as if she didn't speak to me so poorly the day before and then completely ignore me. Two days later I received and email indicating that I had two HARD inquires on my credit. That's the "work" that she was in the back office doing. Veronica blatantly lied and ran my credit. Now I'm stuck with hits from companies I don't even know. I called to speak with a manager however, I never received a call back. I messaged Veronica and of course I never heard back from her either. Doing business with a slimy dealership like this is not worth is. Worst experience and waste of my time! The first time I went there, I learned you can't get the internet pricing they advertise. After I requested the internet pricing the 2nd time, the salesman said ok but I'd had have to pay almost $3,000 for additional warranty coverage. After waiting almost an hour they said my payment would be $575, after much time later my final amount I said I would pay is $450 month and after 5 minutes they all of a sudden come back and say ok to the $450 (but at that point I had to leave for the night). Two days later - New Years Eve the Sales Manger and Salesman both call to see if I would come back that night and they would be me the price I wanted. So I agreed and left my New Years event and go meet the Salesman - 30 minutes later the Fiance guy comes to me and says the best he can do is $537?? As another review posted, this place is trashy. We ended up leaving here within 15 minutes of being approached. A salesman with a very abrasive personality approached us and I showed him the vehicle we found online and wanted to see. He then proceeded to go straight into $$ talk ignoring that we wanted to see this vehicle. As he was getting around to finding the stock number, we felt like he was ordering us around instead of being polite and listening or finding out what we wanted. He took us inside to his desk which was located in the back with about 5 other desks in that small room. The entire place was crowded, it stunk, there were holes in the carpet. The atmosphere was not inviting or relaxing at all. As he was looking for the stock # I was able to pull it up online quicker and let him know. However, he totally ignored me. I went to Cowboy KIA last Friday in hopes of buying my third car from them. I settled on a vehicle but it was too late in the day to process the paperwork plus it had to be inspected to get a sure price. That Saturday I went back and they still had not inspected it so I was told to come back Monday. Monday I came in and watched it be waxed and detailed. When it was complete the salesman went to get the paperwork only to find out it had already been sold to someone else. I was very upset but got over that and picked out a second car. Once again, it was too late in the day so I had to come back on Tuesday. Tuesday morning I decided I didn't want the second car so I called to cancel it and told them to have my W2 forms and personal info ready for me to pick up. When I came back by they had lost ALL my paperwork and I overheard them say it had got shredded. Worst of all, I have not filed my taxes yet so now I have no car and no W2. I Usually don't write many reviews, However, I must Say That Car Buying is Never Usually easy, Especially If you are me, Crazy Analytical And looking over every detail before making a big purchase. Colt At Cowboy Kia Was extremely Helpful in Narrowing down my search. He asked a lot of questions and we drove several cars. I had no Idea I would Love the 2016 Kia Soul. It looked smaller than what I was looking for, But when I hopped inside, Surprisingly Spacious. After Taking that for a spin, We came in And Colt made everything very easy, In addition Many people, Including the finance manager came over to greet me and say hello. I drank plenty of the waters that they provided me. Paper signing was very smooth and they were able to work within my budget And that was nice seeing as I don't have The most amazing credit. This place is a scam, now there are some great people working in sales and they have no say so on price or dealership operations they are just the "middle man", trying to make a $100 mini commission per vehicle, that call comes from the above. The people behind the Show Management, Finance and Accounting must've come from Landmark "landshark" Chevrolet if you remember that place these people are manipulating, arrogant, lying, stealing people with bullyish and run over attitudes to customer and salesman alike. Have any of you customers realized we got bribed with $100 gift cards for good reviews, you shouldn't have to pay anybody for that in a day where people communicate there experiences by social network anyways just give me $100 for their 6 hr wait or even dinner you know. They are very quick to ask you to leave if you are asking the questions they don't want to answer. My Father bought a car there and they had him about to sign for 3k more than agreed to on a new Vehicle had i not got there to proof read everything first. I've discovered when a person tell you within first line of conversation he's not going to cheat you, uh he's a cheat and if caught he's going to stick to his guns. This dealership is so sleazy it is ALMOST funny (if you have time to waste). They absolutely DO NOT honor advertised prices. I called several times before we made the trip and spoke with an "internet" sales person named Claudia and asked about specific cars by stock number. Her answer was consistently, "Yes, ma'am we have the car," and "Yes, ma'am, that is the price." We made an appointment with this lady as she asked, but when we arrived we were told that she was in a meeting. It was later inadvertently disclosed that this person was not in sales, but someone who answers the phone and says whatever will get a potential buyer in the door. This is a metal building with garage sale desks for "offices." Not that this is a big deal, but perhaps should have been a clue. As mentioned in another review, I would guess that many of their buyers are gullible and uneducated regarding financial negotiations. BUYER BEWARE!! NO, NO NO. My first time buying a car I went here. I didn't know anything about lemon laws or car fax. I bought a 2008 chevy classic (malibu) it had 70k miles on it I didn't want the car. I wanted something else but they kept saying I couldn't get financed for it. They pushed this car on us. We stayed way after closing, they would let us test drive a car. I would like it. Then they would tell me nope. Mind you I did a trade in and put $3,000 down. So I finally took the car they pushed on me. I was never given a sticker price, only what my monthly payments would be. Every time I asked they would avoid the question or switch the subject. I had one thing I was promised. That they would tent the windows and replace the visor for me that following monday when I brought it back. I did, and was told no because I didn't have an extended warranty. I was in tears because I was told they would. Later I learned the car had a bad car fax, and when I got all my papers in I found how much they sold that car to me for $16,500! They told me I was going to be on a 4 year fiance plan but when the papers came in nope 7 years. They check engine light came on within 3 weeks. I know better and will only go to buckalew now ( bought 2 cars from them this year, no trade in, no money down, clear cut sticker price, got deals that knocked that sticker price down ) Please Please do not go to Cowboy KIA . If you are looking for a dealership with integrity and that treats it customers ethically; you will make the wrong selection by choosing this dealership. They will not stand by their advertised pricing at all and are not willing to negotiate even though it is on their website. I saw a vehicle online Sunday evening February 21, 2016 that I was interested in and submitted an online application along with an inquiry about the vehicle. I was contacted by the dealership the very next morning and told to come and pick out a car. I knew the car I wanted and informed Angelica of that along with my wishes of no games. I liked the car and was coming to get it, so if it was unavailable...please don't waste my time and I would assure you that I will not waste yours. So she scheduled me and appointment with Veronica for the same day at 2pm. Little did I know, I was given an appointment to test drive a vehicle that was not on the lot and didn't find this information out until after I traveled 40 minutes to the dealership. Veronica suggested that we move forward with paperwork and I agreed. She never gave me a price for the vehicle and eventually said that she could not discuss this with me only finance could. After making it to finance, I found out that the price of the vehicle was $2,000.00 more than the price listed on several other websites. Not only did the website have a price that was $2,000 lower, there is a banner that reads, "at Cowboy Kia everything is negotiable". Not only did they not honor their price they were not willing to negotiate the deal. I refused to sign the contract (which should have been completed before I even went to finance) in finance and asked the finance manager to speak with someone about the inconsistency in the price. I left the dealer that evening and no one contacted or spoke with me until I initiated the follow up call the next afternoon. In the phone conversation, I was told that the dealer would not honor the price that was listed on the website and they kept with the shenanigan that the price was a cash only price. There was no indication of a cash price only on any of the websites that I viewed. About an hour later, the dealership changed the prices on the website without any resolution with me. Perhaps they thought the ads were misleading and flat out fraudulent, so they should update the price. I have viewed several sites and complaints all say the same thing about the dealership. I will forward my complaint to the BBB, state of Texas OAG, KIA regional office, KIA Headquarters, and KIA Global and every social media website knows about their unethical practices. read more
