I saw an advertisement on Facebook that was inviting people to the end-of-the-year sale and with zero down and works with all credit and I responded through the Facebook ad. I had an appointment set up I get there and the person who helped me was not exactly helpful. I was there for three hours of waiting around on him to just bounce around talking to different people and coming back and then back-and-forth back-and-forth just to tell me that, I was not going to be able to get into a vehicle that I wanted even though I had a 45,000 approved loan. Instead, he tried to put me in a vehicle that he wanted to put me in, total waste of my time. I received a follow up text through Facebook messenger asking how my experience was. I respectfully responded that I was not able to get into a vehicle and I never heard anything back from that. Definitely would not recommend. read more

I have a Kia Optima hybrid that had check engine light on. Cowboy had my car for almost 3 months working on what was wrong with it. When they seemed to have an answer, something else would come up. They were very thorough on fixing the car. They offered us a new car as a loaner for the majority of that time. They service advisor, Lindsay, was exceptional. She worked hard on getting everything covered from our extended warranty. At the end when we picked up the car, we had a zero balance! Thank you, Lindsay for doing your job well! read more

First things first. I didn't give this place five stars because it is extremely difficult to get the service team on the phone or to return your phone call. After several attempts, I was able to make an appointment for a 90,000 mile service. Once there, the welcome was nonexistent. They were two people in the office. They just looked up at me and kept doing what they were doing. After about 20 seconds of stares and silence, I said good morning. It was then we were greeted by Donald, who was our service advisor and eventually took very, very good care of us. Donald promised our car would be ready by 2p, and he delivered as promised, with a few minutes to spare. Our car was washed and everything seemed to be in good working order except the driver side brake light. My husband noticed it was out as he followed me home. With such an extensive and costly service, my expectation is they would have checked to assure all lights were in good working order. To be fair however, not sure if this is part of their service but it should be. Kudos to Donald for his exemplary customer service. read more

I told the man at the desk, I wanted to look at decreasing my car payment and length of time I have it financed and get a older model. He goes and tell the car salesman I want a new car. I love my new Kia Soul, but buying it was a real hassle. First, I was stuck at the dealership for more than 4 hours to complete the purchase(finance department was backed up). When I picked up my car, the gas tank was only half full and an accessory I requested was not there. I was called back a week later to redo paperwork, then had to return again because the car had not been inspected, so they couldn't get license plates. The finance guy told me he would give me a gift card if I promised to give him all 10's on the survey. The salesperson was a little more subtle, saying she needed 10's because that's how they are evaluated for job. That said, the dealership did realize they had overcharged me and fixed that. The service department was friendly and efficient. Another day, another complaint. At the service department to get a battery and oil change. Now here 2 hours, I had to check on progress. Was informed that they had completed the oil change and battery test, that my battery was, indeed dead, and did I want to purchase a new one. Surprise! That is what I asked for to start with. I had tried Walmart before. They didn't have my battery, but before finding that out, were kind enough to tell me it might take 1 1/2 hours as they were short handed. No such curtesy from the Kia lady, Kendall. Of course no car wash or vacuum, because they don't feel responsible for upholding agreements with previous owners. read more

Everyone was nice but they tried to rip me off. I came in only to pick up an item they needed to program. After waiting around 45 minutes they came in and told me they did an inspection on my car, which I did not ask for, and that I needed the fuel filter changed. I told them no to that and left with the item. I dropped my car off at my regular mechanic the next day to have the drive belt changed, odd how Cowboy KIA didn't notice in their "inspection" that it was fraying, and asked them to check the fuel filter at which point I was informed that my model doesn't have a changeable fuel filter as it is built into the fuel pump. Cute Cowboy KIA, what were you going to do, let my car sit another 45 minutes then charge me a couple hundred dollars to do nothing? Oh BTW, yall didn't notice in your "inspection" that the rear tires were almost bald and need to be replaced asap. I will never go here again. They use a lot of shady and unethical marketing practices. First of all, they offered me a $100 gift card for a good review in here and other website, just this can tell you about the ethics of the business. I bought a car in there, the process was slow, painful, and very confusing. They don't talk to you with the truth at all, they try to sell you ideas far from the reality. The first offer I got was like this: "If I offer you a car with no down and the first payment on February, would you buy it?" Then they told me that they would give me a package as a gift, which turned out that it costs like $2,000. After one week of waiting for their response they told me they made me a discount, the discount in reality was taking this package off so the invoice would be $2,000 less, not a real discount. At the end of the purchase I had to put $500 down. Which is OK, is not that much, but they offered me no down. After a month with the car, we got via mail an opportunity to win a price, you had to uncover some hidden numbers from a ticket, and if you matched two you would win. We got two "2500" so my wife thought that we had won something. I noticed that the number didn't have the "$" sign so I predicted it was a scam. By the way, this ticket came with a "DownPaymentVOUCHER" for $3,000. Obviously it turned out that way, they asked my wife to go there and then they tried very hard to sell her a new truck, that they already knew she liked. About the price, the 2500 number were just "points" to get into an opportunity of winning $10,000 scraping some ticket, obviously she won nothing, other than two sales guys pushing her to run her credit to buy a new truck. The worst of all is that if the sales person can't get you with their "offers" they get mad, the get mad at you because you are not buying. This sales person called my wife a lot of times asking for the good review in exchange of a $100 gift card, one time this person told my wife "OK, then, I will keep your $100 gift card for myself", are you kidding me? Without counting the emails saying that we would get two gift cards on the total of $500 and other lies. Everything in there feels like scam, don't trust these people. read more

Cowboy Kia posts misleading ads and blatantly lied to us on the phone before hiding behind a weary and well practiced "we have a disclaimer". I saw the listed price on cars.com and was impressed by the low price, but concerned that there might be fine print, so I spoke with them via their online chat service. The woman I spoke with told me that was the "internet price", but was wary of confirming a price online and told me to wait to be contacted. No one contacted me so we called in the morning and spoke with Jim. We let him know that we saw a new Kia Soul at $12630, and wanted confirmation that that was the price before driving over two hours. He told us that was the base price and it was legitimate so we sorted out or financing and drove 2.5 hours to Conroe. When we got there, the salesman quoted the price at full MSRP, which was over $5000 more than the online price. He brought us to an office to explain that the online price was with every available discount and walked us through the discount list. Unless I was a veteran that graduated college in the last year and drove for uber (among other things) I would not qualify for that price. They offered me $750 off of the full MSRP, which was still $5000 over the online price. Even if EVERY rebate and discount on his sheet applied to me, it still did not add up to the price listed on the site. He told us repeatedly that we were mistaken and their ad had a disclaimer despite the fact that I had saved a pdf of the complete webpage on my tablet. He crumpled up our paperwork as we were leaving. We spoke with the manager on duty on the phone to let him know that we understood their policy but that we should have been told when we called to confirm the price, especially since we let them know on the phone that we had such a long drive. There are a lot of reputable, honest, dealerships that genuinely care about and respect their potential customers... Cowboy Kia of Conroe is NOT on that list. They flat out lied to me over the phone (after THEY called me) guaranteeing terms of a sale, and denied the guarantee, refusing to honor their word after I dragged my pregnant wife 1-1/2 hours up there. This happened twice. The second time, they sent pictures of the a vehicle I was interested in and spelled out the downpayment, monthly payments, and term length of loan in text, (they already had my credit application on file from my filling it out both online, and 3 days earlier the first time we drove up there). The manager even said " Consider it my personal gift to you and your wife for your new baby". Seeing it in writing, I thought, there was no way that they could be so deceitful, again. I was wrong. They raised the price by more than $1000 the first trip, and more than double the second time, both times once I got there. Fool me twice, I guess. My fault for giving the benefit of the doubt. They even denied me the opportunity to speak to the manager and the rep that sent me the photos and text guarantee. They are, by definition, CON-ARTISTS, and I encourage anyone to take their hard-earned money elsewhere to buy a vehicle. That being said, I had been working with them since Tuesday via text and phone calls from Austin. The plan was, I was to drive down today, and make a purchase of a 2018 Ford Flex they had on their lot. I had even given the sales guy my credit card number for a deposit to hold the vehicle and tint the front 2 window. THANK GOD I texted him first thing this morning... Come to find out regardless of deposit and pre-approval they can sell a vehicle to another customer. In my opinion this poor business practice. They have gone out of their way to make sure my wife and I are satisfied with all our dealings with them. I just wanted to take the opportunity to share some positive feedback on this wonderful car dealership. My husband and I were in the market for a new vehicle after a devastating hail storm took out our Chevy Cavalier. We did our research and decided on the 2016 Kia Soul. We actually live in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, but after doing some internet pricing, we discovered that no Kia Dealership in our area could compete with Cowboy Kia's prices! As a result, we made the 2 1/2 hour drive down to Conroe, and are so happy that we did! Our salesperson was Joe Holeman, and his sales manager was Joel. From the minute we walked in the door on a rainy Saturday night, these guys made us feel right at home. We were immediately able to test drive the beautiful silver Kia Soul that we now call our own. Joe and Joel were fantastic to work with because they listened to exactly what we told them we could afford, and did everything they could to find us an amazing interest rate, without any high pressure sales at all. My husband and I were able to talk everything out, and within 3 hours of walking in the door, we were walking out as new Kia Soul owners. The finance team was also the best we have ever worked with. The finance director explained everything in clear detail and made sure we got the loan we needed to fit our budget. I think the best thing about this dealership is the way that they treat their customers. They were genuinely friendly, caring, and helpful. Easiest car buy experience we have ever had. We plan on purchasing our future vehicles from Cowboy Kia, and would recommend them to all of our friends and family! Bought a car from Cowboy Kia in July. The dealers deliver great customer service and work with you but fail to mention that they will send your credit score to multiple lenders thus causing multiple hard inquiries on your credit score. I recently spoke with one of the financial advisors and he was so rude! Every time I tried to speak he would abruptly cut me off (I see why he works in the back). Most cars that people buy come with a spare tire. This particular car did not and when I questioned them about it I was told I would be charged an additional $200 to get a new one. Granted they do offer "free roadside assistance" but as a young woman stranded on the side of the road in Timbuktu in hopes I have some type of phone signal, I would rather just change my own tire. OK he said, (now get this) I don't know who you talked to but it wasn't me. What do you mean it wasn't you? Your name is Al isn't it? Are there other Al's here. No, but you didn't talk to me. You mean to tell me, that I talked to another salesman that wanted YOU to have the sale. I guess so, said so called Al. Al asked, do I even sound like the person you spoke to. Yep, said I, just like him. LOVE THIS PART. Al takes off his glasses and screams "then your lying,'cause you didn't talk to me. I said, I am loving this. In we go to talk to the sales manager. Had looked on their website and had chatted online with one of their reps - found 3 cars I wanted to see and later that evening I got a call from Jack Ford. Made arrangements to see him the next day. Went and he basically handed me off to Hayden Dovey. Jack had said that 2 of the vehicles I wanted to see were either bought or werent a good choice and steered me towards a 2010 Nissan Rogue - I liked the vehicle after a short dirve and I was assured that the car had passed their 125 point check. When I looked at the engine we found that after the test drive it had spilled fresh oil on the engine because the cap wasnt on tight enough 0 they took it into the service area, steam cleaned the engine and then rechecked the 125 point inspection I was told and found an issue with the wiper blades - the oil had spilled on the box and they had to replace part of it to fix it... I liked the car and after all assurances that the car was fine I agreed to buy it... it took forever to do simple paperwork for a cash sale ($5000) and then had to wait for the part for the wipers to get installed - and even then had to wait for them to put in the gas they promised. Finally got the car and drove it home, The next day decided to check the car out on the freeway and after driving the speed limit of 75 mph for an extended period and it being 80 degrees outside began having an issue where the car would not respond when the gas pedal is pushed and would not go over 60 in hilly areas - finally made it home and did not drive it anymore - on Monday I attempted several calls to talk to either Jack or Hayden but neither were available so I went to the dealership. Spoke with Timmy or Tommy the manager and he basically told me I was SOL and laughed at me. So I took the car to the Nissan dealership and they did the same 125 point inspection and found that the transmission needed replacement. They said that if a 125 point had truly been done at Cowboy Kia the issue would have been found because it hadnt just broken. I am having Keating Nissan fix the vehicle at a cost of $5000 because purchasing another vehicle would be too much and I could not in good conscience allow someone else to buy the Rogue.. So what am I going to do now? This is blatant Fraud and I am filing in small claims for the cost of getting the transmission fixed. I am also filing a complaint with the state about getting their license ot sell cars revoked since I am not the first person that has been screwed over by them. I have other witnesses from the facebook page created with those that have also had issues and they are going to come forward to testify in my case. I will pursue every option I have available to make sure this community knows what kind of business they are. read more

Run!! Do not buy a Kia!! I have had my Kia Soul for 3 years now. Bought it with 2 miles on it and take exceptional care of it. The first year I loved it but its been down hill since then. Year 2 my lights started turning off at night for no reason. All lights inside and out, so I had to make sure Im in by dark. Its under warranty so they can fix it but tell me they cant see it happen so they cant fix it. Finally I go in months later and they have more Kias having that problem so they can fix it now. They did fix it but now, 6 months later, it is happening again and my electrical warranty is out. What ever, Im now in by dark because, kinda like Cinderella, if Im out past dark my car turns into a lemon. It gets better. Now my AC is out and also no longer covered under warranty. So unless you want a car that only works in the winter during the daytime find another dealer! read more

I love my Kia Optima, although used and a few years old, it looks and handles like brand new. Gary and Keyvon where my salesmen and they took very good care of me, they were very helpful and were able to handle most of this deal over the phone, which was convenient so I didn't have to miss any time off work as I had already wasted so much time at other shady car lots. I was told my recall part would take a week and someone would call to inform me when it would be ready. Its been over a week. Ive spoke with someone in parts who said they would also call me back to see where exactly my part was and have still recieved absolutely no word.
