I love this place. Loved it since they first opened! Service and food has not changed top notch ! I recommend Cowfish to all my clients who haven't been here yet. The only issue I have is valet. They always have smart ass comments and every time they move the seats, mirror and radio station ! Your parking a car, a brand new car that has back up cameras. If you need to move things then put them back to how they go and have a better demeanor or get a different job ! My visit ' s here have been less for this reason so it's disappointing. We took the boat over from rumba after having a few drinks there. Love the atmosphere and the outdoor bar area. I had the Ribs for dinner. I would say it was a half rack. A little pricy for that much ribs which came with fries and slaw. Food is good but not great unlike the spot which is great. Service is good. I've been here twice for brunch with large groups and both times the food and service has been stellar. The restaurant opens at 11:30am and you should be there on time as a lot of people show up quickly. There are a lot of options on the menu and our group gave the food good reviews. You can also sit outside at the bar and sometimes they have corn hole out so you can play a game while waiting for food. The location on the water is picturesque and gives you the feeling of eating at a nice Hamptons eatery. Just a word of caution: Google maps will navigate you past the real entrance of this place. On my first visit I had to make a U-turn and double back. read more

Super nice setting, complimentary valet parking and very attentive staff. The food is good enough. The isn't a lot of variety on menu. Hard to have a reasonably priced meal. Sushi good but around $21. For 5 or 6 pieces. Not enough to fill this belly. I had a blackened fish sandwich $17. And a kale salad $7. So add some wine to that meal and we're talking $$$. I'm willing to pay up for upscale dining but this place is not upscale. That is why I opted for the fish sandwich and salad. read more

Great food and service! We went last weekend a group of four- had to wait about 40 minutes for a table (but this was memorial day weekend) once we were seated we were served quickly by Collin who was a wonderful server! The clam chowder is AMAZING! Everyone at the table tried and loved it. We also ordered the lobster stuffed mushrooms which were wonderful, the cornbread really makes them! I had the sushi Maui Wowi roll which was great- and my friend got the shrimp in the worcester reduction which she determined " the best thing she has ordered at a restaurant in over a month" The ambiance on the water is also really nice. I would absolutely go back to this place!!! In fact- I can't wait until we can. read more

We live in the area and this is a consistent favorite ! I have tried most things on the menu and many of their specials and they always get it right! Favorites are the buffalo shrimp, chowder, scallops, any of the burgers and the chicken. They do a happy hour on weekdays which we frequent for half price apps and a good variety of drinks. Beautiful location overlooking the water with both a deck and an outdoor bar/lawn area. Really a treat and I would recommend if in the area. Bonus, in the summer they offer a boat shuttle to their other location Rumba (another great spot) which is a fun experience in itself. read more

My wife and I visited Cowfish today after having lunch at Sundays in Hampton Bays, and wished we had eaten here instead. The manager offered us an outdoor table overlooking Shinnecock Inlet and brought us complimentary BBQ shrimp to enjoy with our drinks. Smart business! We will be returning later this week. read more

Reservation or not you always have to wait too long. Even for a late reservation when we see tables sitting unoccupied. Menu is limited, food is just ok. The best thing abount the place is the facility. read more

One of the better lobster rolls in the area. Bread for the roll was great and really hearty lobster roll but it's higher priced. I didn't like the skinny fries and wish they cared about the fries that goes with it. If you're going to make a great lobster roll, accompany some great fries please. The kids chicken finger meal was also better than other places. We did take out and they forgot some of our items, had to go back and also they couldn't even give utensils standard and we had to ask. So as far as the service for takeout, it made me not want to order again even though the lobster roll was enjoyable read more

I have been here 2 times and both times have been happy with my meal and service. Our table took advantage of the prix fix menu this time. The buffalo shrimp are a must try. The sauce is almost a bbq/buffalo, the perfect mixture of sweet and spicy. For the main course I split the scallops and the ribs. The ribs fell of the bone. Incredibly long wait but very sweet service and attention to customers who are invited to stroll along the beautiful garden or have a drink at the bar. Once seated though, I was hoping for food in par with the somewhat extravagant place and was a disappointed. We ordered 2 fish dishes. Both would have looked and fared ok in a cliché dinner out in Queens or Bay Ridge but I did expect more from a place who's clientele is made to wait on average 1 hour to be served. The sword fish was dry and instead of the garlic butter promised, it had some kind of clear greasy juice mildly flavored dripping on top of the fish. I would have loved to have a look at that garlic butter and let dress the fish myself. The other fish, a mahi-mahi, fared a bit better in the fact that it had some kind if taste. But again, both the presentation and overall dish lacked any kind of sophistication you'd come to expect from a higher standing restaurant. In both dishes, neither sides stood out particularly: an overcooked risotto, a side of corn with no real flavor and some kid of wild rice with fresh vegetables which looked slapped together rather then cared for. All of the food seemed to have been prepared in a rush by a kitchen working in overdrive to meet the long lines of Ralph Lauren looking customers ( no disrespect meant). Our kids got the kids menu and were treated with the same kind of average food you'd expect at a regular Dinners. Small portion of fried food and a sad looking scoop of vanilla ice cream (no choice there!). I don't know, maybe I grew up spoiled by great food served in restaurants who cared about details but though I appreciate what Cowfish goes for, they stop very short by the very standard they seem to strive for. read more
