There was two choice brewing and I instantly decided on Kona...how can you not and I'm delighted with the choice as I only requested for a little sugar and to my surprise it was perfect this cup was $6 for the quality and some tables nearby creates a great morning vibe. When you have great coffee done they way you just know how which is what they do having a cup at this great Kaka'ako Farmers Market does make the start of your day so much richer! She said all coffees are pre-sold and orders are taken in advance as they roast fresh what they sell. When I looked depressed and dejected, she said they have about 10# of espresso coffee beans just roasted and if I would like that. Of course, I said yes and bought 2lbs. Next morning after landing back home, the espresso beans were just amazing. They were not as dark as I thought - it was the perfect dark roast I was looking for. Not burnt - very low acid - wonderful fruity taste/aroma. Going to mail order another 5# and try their other roasts.

I absolutely love that Surfers Coffee is now in Kaka'ako though it's very different from their Wahiawa location which I think it's great since it shares its spot with The Vintage Hawaii. Located in Kaka'ako Business Center that has a few customer parking stalls painted in yellow lines which always appreciated especially in this part of Kaka'ako sometimes is difficult to find. Walking in I didn't know what to expect and was just so thrilled to see how clean and spacious it was along with several types of seating in a separate area from the coffee bar which is so bright and welcoming with various merchandise and menus including their "underground drink menu" featuring various crafted coffees but they had me at "Nutella Mocha" which is dark mocha latte with Nutella...ya that was hard to resist and loved it was simple. The staff is very awesome and friendly as I asked various questions where they filled in information that there's also a pottery area and that classes will be available soon these kind of craftiness I do love in a place that shares its passion for the community including collecting school supplies is so heartwarming. Love a place that supports local in so many ways and that opening at 7am is also great for those that early start in their day. Thank you!

fun new find in a random Vintage store in Kakaako!…read more There is SOME parking available in their private lot but most of them were taken and i luckily got the last stall that was reserved especially for the coffee shop. there was a lot of people who hung out so thats probably why there isnt a lot of parking. They don't have a food menu yet other than burritos, but i did see a few pastry items on display. There was also one worker at the coffee shop to take your order, make your coffee and ring up your vintage finds purchase. I also noticed that they have pottery classes too! lots of open seating and beautiful space inside! it's really quiet in there tho since most people looked like they were on their computers, so not the best place to catch up and talk loudly. LOL. I got the Kakaako cold brew which only came in one size. I dont remember how much it cost since i can't find my receipt.
