They took me right in and started working on my car. Several hours later, they had it running again. I am SO extremely grateful for the kindness shown by these men. Terry pulled a car off of a lift to get mine fixed up while I was waiting. He did all of this while teaching his apprentice how to pull a transmission out of a Buick. Nicest guy in the world, honest about what was wrong, didn't overcharge me, didn't make up stuff that needed to be done. Terry's one of those guys that just knows what he's doing and will bend over backwards to help you out. I got a transmission guy in Fort Worth now.

He sold us both of these cars, knowing that I have five children that I transport in these vehicles. He encourages you to bring the cars to his shop to work on so that you "don't have to spend your money elsewhere". That's why today's experience was disappointing. I asked a technician which oil was correct for my 2023 Lincoln Navigator after noticing two different DuraMAX oils on display. He recommended the wrong one and, when I questioned it, became rude, dismissive, and disrespectful instead of taking the time to verify the correct specification. I requested another technician, and he completely turned the experience around. He was professional, courteous, verified that my vehicle required SAE 5W-30, showed me the correct oil before servicing my vehicle, and answered my questions with patience and respect. I appreciate the second technician for his excellent service. My only suggestion is to ensure all employees are well-trained on both vehicle specifications and customer service. That's the level of professionalism that has kept me coming back to this location.

I went on Christmas Eve for an oil change and the next day when I was on the highway every time I went over a bump I could hear a scraping sound. I drove to and from frisco with more and more damage being done each bump I went over. When I was able to look I could see the skid plate wasn't fastened to my car good enough after service. I went back the next day and told them about the issue. The same person from before ushered me into the shop. Tinkered for a good 10-15 minutes and said I was good to go. I trusted that they fixed what they messed up and drove off. I was headed out of town that day so needed my car drivable. I stopped to get gas and peered under my car-- their "fix" was using zip ties to fasten the plate to my car. I would have appreciated some ownership in their mistake and some honestly when they acted like they fixed the issue that THEY caused. Instead, they sent me off with me having to now go somewhere else to fix something they are responsible for. I really don't like leaving bad reviews, but after that experience I have to. This was an infuriating and disappointing experience. I understand that the mistake of the skid plate coming loose could have happened anywhere, but the way this was handled with no respect makes me regret ever giving this specific store my business in the first place. Please do better for your paying customers.

I can not recommend JD Automotive Service. It's not a review I want to write because I really like…read morethe people there. However, the quality of service they provided was terrible and unsafe. I had work done there multiple times over several months before noticing problems. I have absolutely no trust in this shop and would never use them again. The last repair done was two engine oil leaks based on their inspection and recommendation. The long story short version is that one leak wasn't fixed after after 3 trips back they deflected the issue (can't tell where it's coming from/ maybe it's a new leak/ try an after market stop leak additive) and did not stand behind their warranty. Even worse, I also had shocks installed on the front end. They did a bad install on both Shocks and used cheap shocks with old rusted bolts. On one of them, they didn't install all the hardware. They also didn't put back the wheel well cover so that's gone. In the end, the Shock actually came loose and was making a metal clinking noise as it hit other metal parts. The shock itself was destroyed from banging around. I drove my truck in that unsafe condition until I found the issue. Knowing I no longer trusted this shop I didn't care about a warranty or even considered allowing them to work on my vehicle again. I decided to get two new Shocks put on. I'm so glad I did two because when they took the "good" one off with all the hardware, they found out it was over tightened and was also messed up so they were both bad. My first repair there was having my front end suspension work and after the issues I've found after that repair I am really concerned that any of their work was done correctly. It sucked having to replace the Shocks so soon after getting them put on the first time, but I'm glad it didn't do any further damage to my truck. It could have been much worse. It was definitely a mistake using this shop. I paid them a lot of money and I learned my lesson the hard way.
