They are no different than any big company that has no competition. They give you minimum service and charge you maximum fees.

When I originally purchased the phone, I tried to activate it, I got a system error. That was approximately a month ago. Fast forward to today. I went to the corporate Verizon store to have them activate the phone. They could not activate it either. Same system error I got a month ago. In that intervening month, the phone got a pinhole in the lower right corner of the screen. Which of course gave Verizon all the excuse they needed to deny replacing the phone that has not worked since day 1. Let me reiterate this...Verizon ( a multi million dollar for profit company) denied to replace a $200 phone that they confirmed had not worked since the day I bought it... I have never had this experience with Verizon before this, & I do not think that I will be giving them the chance to do it to me again. I have been a loyal customer of Verizon for many years now. Yet I now find myself questioning that very loyalty when the that loyalty is obviously not returned. It is with a heavy heart that I can no longer recommend Verizon as an honorable company. Corporate greed & the almighty slavish adherence to capitalism at the cost of everything else. Had cost them my good graces & any future business that I might have given them. In fact I am seriously considering taking my existing business with them somewhere else as well.

The short version: out-of-control advertising with no way around it is basically my entire problem…read morewith Xfinity. As one of many in this day and age who already has a severe case of notification fatigue, the last thing I need is regular pop-ups from my WiFi app telling me "10 ways to stream Game of Thrones faster" or "protect your data this fall with our new features," so the second that started happening, I opened the app to go scorched earth on my notification preferences. But the only option I had was to turn off service-related notifications, which are literally the only notifications I want. After some scrounging around, I found out you have to go to their website (to turn off notifications on their app??), log in to your account, and turn off marketing notifications from there. Oh but then that didn't work, and I was still receiving an onslaught of email marketing in addition. So then I gave up and talked to one of their customer service agents about how I wanted to stop getting advertisements, and what does this man do? He starts advertising to me (see screenshots). Sitcom material at this point. So then after probably an hour of going back and forth with this guy (how long does it take to turn off marketing spam? Seriously?) he says my notification preferences have been updated, but then here I am, still getting advertisements in my inbox on a regular basis. On further investigation, it looks like these marketing emails are marked as "service-related" and the only way for me to get rid of them is essentially for me to block any and all notifications from Xfinity, which I have now done because I'm so over the advertising. Guess I'll just be relying on my credit card statements to make sure my bill goes through, and if my WiFi goes down, I'll just hope it comes back up again lol. The sad thing is my experience with Xfinity's WiFi has not been terrible in the grand scheme of things - I have one of their lower tier plans (poor grad student life) and my WiFi performs about how I'd expect it to for how much I'm paying, I've never even had an outage. But man, the advertising nonsense and the BS with this customer service rep are just such obnoxious, VERY fixable issues that I'm left feeling excessively annoyed with this company. Considering switching to Quantum since they're doing a bunch of installs in my area now. Cheaper, better quality, and maybe they'll have a functional way for me to opt out of marketing!

**Horrible Experience with T-Mobile in Green Valley - Avoid at All Costs!**…read more I don't normally leave negative reviews, but my experience with T-Mobile in Green Valley was so frustrating and unacceptable that I felt compelled to warn others. It all started when I had an issue with my phone and was told to contact Assurant, the insurance company T-Mobile uses. I spent *hours* on the phone with Assurant, only for them to repeatedly tell me it was a **warranty issue** and that I needed to speak with T-Mobile. So back I went to T-Mobile--only to be told *they* thought it was an **insurance issue** and to call Assurant again. This back-and-forth nonsense went on for *hours*. Every single time I called, I had to re-verify all of my information, explain the situation from scratch, and still got nowhere. Finally, T-Mobile *reluctantly* agreed it was a warranty issue and said they would ship a replacement phone. A few days later, I received an email saying my new phone was ready for pickup. I had a tight schedule that day with buyer showings (I'm a Realtor), but I carved out time to stop by the Green Valley store and grab the phone. Big mistake. The store manager was **rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful**. Not only did they act like I was bothering them by showing up, but they also offered zero assistance, no apology, and no empathy for the mess I had been put through. I was stunned at how poorly I was treated, especially after wasting so much time just trying to get a replacement for a faulty device that should have been handled smoothly from the beginning. T-Mobile as a company--and especially this location--needs to take a hard look at how they treat their customers. **Passing the buck, finger-pointing, and treating customers like an inconvenience is NOT acceptable.** If you value your time, your sanity, and basic customer service, **do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.** T-Mobile Green Valley is a disaster.

Then spent 1 hour on phone with agent to help me use the microphone function on the remote. First person obviously reading manual. Couldn't help me. Next, supervisor had me reboot this, and try that. Only to discover the customer has to sign into their Google account, effectively making my TV into a computer to use the mic feature. I don't want Google involved with my TV. Didn't have to do this with previous service with Cox. I am SO MAD I switched from Cox. No amount of savings is worth this frustration. Worst decision I have made in a long time.
