And in my area, there was a briefer outage a few weeks ago. All-in-all, they have not responded properly to the other two big system-wide day-long type outages we had already this year. My definition of "properly" would be that they build in redundancy to their system, so that their service will continue uninterrupted even when their Phoenix supplier breaks down. At this point I have to question the truth of the "99.9% uptime" they are claiming on their landing page. They continue to do certain things very well (call quality on my voip system is good for example aside from the outages, and the technical support agents I've spoken with have been generally helpful on various matters). I really should lower them to about 2.3 stars (rounded down to 2 stars) for the last 8 months, and then raise them back up to 3 or 4 when they announce that redundancy is in place and has been properly tested so that, in theory, these outages will become much more rare. But they seem to say they have actually been working hard for a long time now to install redundancy via New Mexico, and they seem to believe it is just around the corner. I'll give them a week or two more to finalize on this, one way or the other.

Wow - how rude and inconsiderate!! I literally had to call…read moreCox's main number to get ANY assistance from this Cox store! This store doesn't answer their phone calls go straight to voicemail! I was literally in front of the store right in front of the main entrance doors - in my car with my windows down - I am sick with a cold - wearing a mask - I asked the TWO employees who came outside... speaking to them through the open passenger side window...to Help me as I was trying to return a new modem still in box - I was trying to explain to them I didn't want to go INSIDE the store because I didn't want to get anyone sick - and could they talk to me for a second.... NOPE - one just ignored me and went back inside the other told me to go next store to the UPS store and have them mail it - what?! I'm literally right here sitting in my car with a box in my hand ...what do you mean mail it and I'm not trying to go into any store... I'm sick with a cold!!!! I don't understand why she just couldn't take the box from me ? then she just took my first name and said she would tell someone inside the store. But wouldn't it take the modem from me?! I told her I'll give you my account number and my name and phone number she wasn't interested ....I sat there for probably 10 minutes sick in my car with the windows down trying to give them back their modem trying to be respectful of people in the store and I got treated like dirt!! I had to call the main number of Cox explain what I was trying to do...they had to call someone inside the store and then finally someone came out to grab the box. Honestly I was really super pissed off with this experience!! How rude!!! The new modem was for a rental unit I have and the tenants didn't want me to install the new one until they move out which is in May I had to return the modem because I was about to be charged for it $240 I literally drove 30 minutes to go to the store waited in my car with the window down until I saw an employee came outside.. they were opening the door for customers to leave .... The door opened onto a sidewalk and my car was right next to the sidewalk ....what else could I do except say "hello can I talk to you for a second I'm trying to drop off this modem" since I couldn't talk to anyone in the store because they do not answer their phone!!! I'll be switching to T-Mobile Internet!

I have been sick of Cox expensive TV for so long and finally did it! I bought a $20 digital…read moreantenna and a Tablo (streaming & DVR device)from Amazon, $165. I hooked it up to a 4gb hard drive I was not using and "Poof", no more $100 per month TV bills and I now had a 4gb DVR which is good for thousands of hours of recorded shows. All the channels came in perfect except 12 NBC. I moved the digital antenna all over but no luck. So I did some research on TV antennas and came across Free HDTV AZ, and the owner TJ. He had a $50 off coupon on his website so for $250, TJ stopped by, provided and installed the antenna with pole mount, and professionally ran the cable down my wall and into my house and hooked it into the back of my Tablo! Boom, now I got all the channels including channel 12. So, $415 later (approx 4 month Cox TV bill) I have free TV! If you are a DIY person you can get an outdoor antenna and mount it yourself and save $100. If you are not a DIY then call TJ @ 480-206-2407. He also will install your Tablo for an extra $50 and your Roku $25 if you need him to. Now a word about Tablo. It is a streaming and DVR for your over the air free tv all in 1 little box. It is compatible with any streaming device like a Roku or Fire Stick, etc. With a Tablo you can stream the free TV to any TV in your house that has a Roku like device. You just download the app on your streaming device and you are in business. You can get the recorded programs at any TV too. Also you control the Tablo from an app on your phone if you want to. The cheaper Tablo I bought has two tuners. This is the 1 I bought. Be aware that having 2 tuners means you can record 2 show at the same time only. If you have 4 people in your home you might want to consider the upgraded one with 4 tuners. The quality of the TV picture and the recorded shows are HD. Truly amazing. When you call TJ, tell him Ron sent you. Now if there was a good alternative to Cox on internet ...........

I put up with pixelized over the air broadcast for over a year using an amplified indoor antenna…read more Finally decided to go with an outdoor HD roof-mounted antenna. Mario was on time, very professional, did a FANTASTIC job on the installation, and I am 100% satisfied with the install and performance of the antenna. Even my wife (who is very much OCD) is glad we went with the roof mounted antenna. The reception is way better than I hoped for, and we get nearly twice as many broadcast channels as we did with the amplified indoor antenna. We ran the antenna cable to our HD HomeRun DVR box which uses our router to send the broadcast station signals to our iPhones, iPads, Windows PCs, and 5 TVs using Amazon Fire Sticks. My only regret is that I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to do this. Thanks Mario!! I couldn't be happier.
