Good music venue. The band was great, Smoke and Mirrors. Amazingly, didn't need the earplugs I brought. Wine prices for top quality Wilson wines are not merely reasonable, downright inexpensive. Obviously they want you to fall in love with these wines and go to the winery. Talk about a cheap date night. Only negative. At 7:30 pm on a Saturday night, they tapped out of their only dark beer. Went to Coyote Sonoma for another concert; Petty Theft was playing. Another super fun night dancing and hanging out with friends. There's a bar with good options and they typically have food trucks or other food options. Plenty of parking and the tickets are reasonably priced. I've been to several band nights here and it's always a fun time. read more

There are some disparate reviews of this place so let me clue you in. Your experience here will greatly depend on context. This is an event venue which doubles as a bar when there is no event. We are in Healdsburg. People expect an elevated experience and are disappointed when they don't get it . It's rustic and old school in a good way. Yes, they do have food events there but this is not a restaurant as far as i can tell. I do not see a sophisticated kitchen. Service. They do not have regular waiting staff. It's a venue. We went to the You Should Be Dancing - A Tribute to the Bee Gees concert at Coyote Sonoma. We have been there several times and LOVE the place. It has a large dance floor but not large enough for the really popular bands as it fills up quite fast. If you don't get there early, you will be sitting outside in the covered and heated, (during the winter) tent area that is large. The venue is great, we have never had a problem with parking. I would have given an enthusiastic 5-star review if it had more food options and better seating. I am not sure how you would do that unless you make another large opening between the outdoor seating and the indoor music and dance floor and codes might prevent that. Cute place. Didn't get to experience the live music but their sav blanc was so good that I bought a bottle. I don't even like white wine! One star off for the guy who skipped over us as we wanted to buy a bottle because we're young and stood out (everyone in the place at the time were senior citizens). Came for the Fleetwood Mac cover band (amazing, so good). Super friendly crowd, seemed mostly local, fantastic way to spend the evening of our wine tasting getaway. We had beer and maybe the best, definitely the largest fried chicken sandwich we've ever had from the food truck outside (sorry I don't remember the name). Definitely go 2 hours early when then doors open if you want to get a seat - but the seats don't have a view of the band. First off got to say it's a nice place. Me and the wife walked in and they lady said sit anywhere. The wife and I sat down and about 5 mins later our waiter come over and took our drink order. We ordered 2 beers about 5 mins later he come back said they had to switch the keg. Ok so 10 mins later comes back and says they don't have it anymore need to pick another beer. So we do and I finally get our beer 15 minutes later. Just want to point out they were not busy at all. So we ordered our food the wife wanted so fires she saw on there website. The pic on the website doesn't match the fires are shoestring fries. There were good we got uncle Timmy's spicy fries. Me and the wife split the Ruben. The food was good service was not so much. We watched our food sit in the window for 5 mins before here brought it over to us. I know with everything going on it's hard to get people. My mom belongs to the wine club at the coyote den. The day after thanksgiving she brought me here to pick up her shipment, but also decided while we were there to do some wine tasting. Paige was our pourer and she was super sweet. She was very knowledgeable about the vineyards where the grapes were from and the flavors behind them. The owner had made some meatballs for the pairing so we had some of those as well during our time there. The ambiance is a combination of industrial and farmhouse which works really well together. I later found out that they do pop-ups and even have a DJ from time to time. The wine was fabulous, we ordered some more in addition to the order my mom was really there to pick up. I take one star away due to the climate, it was really cold, my hands nearly hurt to pick up the wine glass but luckily the wine warmed me up some just not my hands. read more

There is a pop up burger place inside coyote Sonoma. My wife and I went there solely for the burgers which were absolutely amazing. Crispy and juicy smash burgers on really good bread. All they have is smash burgers and tater tots but honestly that's all they need. The burger with bacon was $15 if I remember correctly which is pricey but at least it was well worth it. Also the bartender was amazing and had tons of knowledge about the area and was fun to talk to about food drinks and whatever else's came up. read more

Coyote Sonoma is a great venue for and has a nice selection of live music, especially the cover bands that sing the hits. They have a small selection of food -- the food is good and the prices are ok. They occasionally have food trucks during the shows as well. I've become a regular because of these shows and i don't even drink wine. read more

They are open for inside dinning now. There is a large screen on the patio where they show sports games as well as TV's inside too. The bar is a fun sport to sit. Lots of great beers on tap; I love the Beatification from Russian River and everything they have from Cooperage and Henhouse. I'm making my way through the menu when I come with my friends- favorites now are the steak- med-rare, the pork tenderloin, wedge salad, sausage plate, and the chicken wings. There have been moments in my culinary adventures where a certain restaurant is burned in the very deepest recesses of my mind. Whether for good or for bad, there are certain restaurants that I always will remember. Without a shadow of a doubt Coyote Sonoma has earned a place in that famous, nay infamous list. This review will explain the very breadth and depth of the sheer disaster that was a "dining" experience when I visited last night. As my esteemed fellow Elite Yelpers will attest, and in written review no less, this restaurant has hit a level so low the very end of the Marianas Trench simply does not suffice. And so I begin. Make no mistakes about it, I seldom rate an establishment a one star. I just find it quite difficult considering the time and effort that is expended by the individuals that work to make a dining experience what it is. But once in a while a place just ticks all the mark that give them the Olympic medal of dining disasters. Let's begin with the sheer wait time. After a relatively uneventful beginning of the service, where we were greeted warmly, sat at our table, wine glasses brought out, and wine poured, the next hour and 30 minutes were nothing but crickets resonating from the kitchen. My party of four waited, and waited, and waited until the very paint on the wall peeled from the sheer time that elapsed. Dramatic, I know, but nevertheless powerful. Two of my fellow diners ordered the restaurant week special, the other ordered a Rueben sandwich, and I ordered a vegetarian Panini with a roasted cauliflower hummus to go with it. 45 minutes passed from the time we placed our order to my two friends getting their first course from the special menu. The salad that was supposed to start the meal magically turned into butternut squash soup. I'm guessing the magic of Cinderella was present that evening. Curious though how the other table right next to us actually received their salad. This is where the anger had slowly built up. Alas another 30 minutes transpired, and still no sign of our food. The same response from the waitress was always "Your food is coming out. Thank you for your patience." Well that patience ran out. The reason I was excited to come to this restaurant in the first place was because I was thrilled to try the food that the new chef at the helm would put out. Instead I got nothing but excuses, upon excuses regarding how busy they were. So let me get this straight, a trained chef is not able to adequately execute dinner service for a restaurant that is not even remotely at the capacity. As Gordon Ramsay said "Where is the lamb sauce?" But in this instance let's start with the very basic-- Where is the actual food? The best kicker for the evening, after I went to speak with the manager about closing our bill because we simply found this experience horrendous, was complimentary soups and a warm gesture of offering me 20% off a bottle that I had brought from another Wilson family winery. To recap, the one star is simple: 1 hour 30 minutes wait for food that never materialized save for a cold soup that was supposed to be a salad, table next to us that got the salad and entree that they had ordered with no issue, and excuses upon excuses about the situation that surrounded the evening. A message to Wilson Artisan Wineries, this place doesn't deserve to be in your portfolio. read more

I'm really diggin' this new addition to Healdsburg! Coyote Sonoma is the latest project from the Wilson family of Wilson Artisan Wines. It's a spacious wine bar and taproom that's situated in Healdsburg's Mill District. It was a bit hard to find as it's tucked away in a small plaza on a roundabout. If you're familiar with where the Parish Café is located, it's in the same plaza right next to the big antique shop. I came here with some friends to attend the 2019 Wine and Chili Taste-off and we had really fun time! Both the interior and exterior of the building are reminiscent of a warehouse. It's very open and spacious and has that homey rustic feel to it. During the event, they had a few tables setup in the corner with wine tasting stations. There's a long bar top with several high chairs and lots of round tables in the main dining area. They have live performances here a few times a week. We missed the live performance after the taste-off, but I would love to come back to check out some live music. They currently have 11 beers on tap with a few ciders and wines on tap as well. Most of the beer and all of the wine that they serve are all local. Speaking of wine; if you're a fan of Wilson Artisan Wines and their wineries, you will go goo goo gah gah over their wine list! They have tons of wine available from all 10 of their famous wineries! You can purchase wine by the glass or bottle. I believe that they also have food available for purchase, but not sure what kind of food since we only ate the chili for the pairing. It was very lively during the event and seems like it would be a great local hangout spot. Parking is easy and ample. I'm excited to see what else is in store at Coyote Sonoma and look forward to more visits in the future. read more

One stars are tough for me to dish out honestly, but last night was a deserving of one. A few friends and I had 6:30 reservations, which we were seated slightly early, leaving us all excited for a wonderful dinner (During Sonoma County Restaurant Week). No corkage if you bring a Wilson owned winery bottle with you, which is a nice touch. The menu is pretty straight forward, but very much geared towards meat eaters versus vegetarians and or vegans. If you are in the latter category, you have a choice of a few apps, a panini, or salad, which one guest was not too thrilled with. Our overall order was taken fairly quickly and our host was very nice and helpful when it came to suggestions. So where did it fall apart? Let's start with the order. Two sandwiches with cauliflower and hummus. Our other friends ordered the Sonoma County Restaurant Week special, which was a chicory salad first course, a pork dish on the second course, and to finish bread pudding. 45 minutes in, we started to wonder where their first course was, so we asked politely, which we got a response of "It's coming right out". Sure enough it came out, but they received what they thought was a butternut squash soup. Confused, so we asked, which we were informed they were having issues and were likely short on the salad. I guess it would of been nice to let us know ahead of time, oh well not a huge issue. Two gentleman came in about 25 minutes after us and ordered the same thing next to us (The three course that is). Right after we got our soup, they were given the two salads....At this point things only got worse. We are now at an hour and 15 minutes, two of us starving, the other staring at their empty soup dish. The table again next to us got their second course of pork. We figured there was an issue in the back as many other tables did not look thrilled. We flagged our waitress and were told "It's coming right out". We politely waited another 20 minutes, sipping on a bottle of wine that had been opened over an hour ago. At this point we were ready to leave, seeing our frustration, our waitress again mentioned "It's coming right out, thank you for your patience". We had no patience at this point since the table next to us was finishing their meal and we had no second course or mains for the other two at the table anywhere to be seen. We confronted the server and politely asked for them to cancel the food as we were willing to just pay for the soup and leave. The manager had now intervened, who was very kind, apologizing for everything, but I am not sure she was really aware of the situation as she comped our soups, but wanted us to pay for the bottle of wine...that we brought to the restaurant (20% off offered). I don't blame her, but it makes me wonder what information our host provided her before the interaction. They tried to make it right by telling us they could have it ready in five minutes in to go boxes, but what good is that if we have no place to eat it. The final answer as to why our food never arrived is one of the three chefs quit that morning and short staffed due to it. I understand, but their were no more than 30 or so guests and others who were arriving after were getting their food. So to me that shows an issue both front and in the back of the house to be honest. This review is not meant to barrage this establishment and tell everyone how terrible it is, but more so for the owner and or manager to use as constructive criticism to improve their methods of operation. I enjoy supporting local businesses and when it's Sonoma County Restaurant Week it's even more enjoyable. A friend of mine asked if I wanted to get together and go to Coyote Sonoma on Saturday the 20th and I was up for the challenge. Besides, who doesn't like to try new foods at a restaurant they've never been to? Things started out well, we were a party of 4 with 6:30pm reservations and we were seated a tad bit early. One of my friends brought in a bottle of wine from Rockpile Vineyards as there is no corkage fee for Wilson Wine Club members. We were then told to download the QR code on the table to get the menu, unfortunately the QR code wasn't providing any menus so they gave us physical menus. Sadly they gave us 2 menus for 4 people and the restaurant week menu wasn't even listed. That's when the old light bulb should've gone on to say hey it's going to be all down hill from here on out. Two of us ordered the Sonoma County Restaurant Week special which was 3 courses, County Line Farms Chicory Greens Salad with warm bacon dressing and a soft boiled egg, Coffee Spiced Pork Tenderloin with curried spaetzle and rainbow chard, and dessert was to be Maple Apricot Bread Pudding with vanilla creme anglaise, toasted pecans and raspberries. The other two in our party ordered a Reuben sandwich, a vegetarian Panini and roasted cauliflower hummus. After about 45 minutes we realized that no food was coming out, no one was even acknowledging that we were there. We weren't sitting in a corner, we were sitting right where everyone had to pass us to tend to the customers that were out in their covered patio area. When questioning our server about our food she said it was coming right up. Shortly after that the first course for the restaurant week special showed up....or so we thought. What they brought my table mate and myself was soup. It looked like butternut squash soup, sort of tasted like it but it was overly sweet and maybe a notch over cold (luke warm would've been an improvement). Our table had asked our server as to why we received 2 soups instead of the 2 salads that was for the Restaurant Week meal. The excuse we got was they were having issues in the back and were probably short on salads. It would've been nice if they would've mentioned this when we placed our order or when they brought the soup but nothing was mentioned. And we probably would've accepted this excet for the fact that the table next to us, after coming in about 25 minutes after us, received their salad as well as their entree. All in all, it was about 1 hour and 45 minutes and we had still only received soup which wasn't even part of the Restaurant Week menu and my other 2 table mates had not received anything. About the only thing that we consistently received was "thank you for your patience" and "it's coming right up" but only when we inquired. One of my table mates finally went to talk to the manager to close our bill so we could leave this awful experience, she came to our table, again with more excuses & apologies, she offered to comp the 2 soups which we didn't order as well as give my friend 20% discount on the wine that he brought to the restaurant himself. Pretty sad that she wasn't even aware that the wine wasn't theirs. Having had worked in the restaurant industry myself many years ago, I was very shocked at how we were ignored once our order was taken, given the wrong food after others around us received what they ordered in record time, given excuses over and over and just dumbfounded by the whole experience. Would I return to this restaurant in the future? No. First impressions can make or break you and in this case, well, it was your down fall. read more

We've been going there for years to watch local bands and comedy. It's a nice size with indoor and outdoor space. Last night was a fun local band with great sound and lighting. However, you could not escape the smell of sewage on the dance floor. It was definitely sewage-related. Nearby restoom was very clean. read more

Let's talk wine club events. They had a Tiki Wine Club party this weekend. Featuring roast pig, bacon baked beans, desert etc,. along with their wines. Being a member I purchased 2 tickets. Upon arrival at 2:00 they made you wear a badge with all the wines being tasted and food with a box along each side for them to mark off that you had tasted. When it started, food was not ready, so go ahead and taste some of 8 different wines. So you got literally a tablespoon of each of the wines, which they made sure they marked it off your card so you could not get another tablespoon of wine, equaling possibly a 1/3 cup. At 2:45 food still was not ready, so I purchased two glasses of wine to have with the food. Nursed it along for another 45 minutes, no food to speak off. Finally had to leave after an hour and a half and left half my glass on the bar, cause, NO FOOD! Literally spent $40 dollars for 2 glasses of wine and had to leave. I will cancel my membership. We drove hours to this event because we no longer live in the area. Stingy and poor planning. The best wine was the 3 dog zinfandel by the glass from Wilson. read more

We went on a date Saturday night and found Sonoma Coyote's by accident but what a nice surprise! The outdoor ambiance was great! A band was entertaining all of us with many up there dancing to the music. Last of a Dyin' Breed was the band and they were good! We had the Buffalo wings and delicious French fries. Upgrading to 4 stars from 3. We saw another band where they had apparently hired a very good sound engineer for their system, named Omri. The sound was much clearer with no static ( the Sol Horizon show). But it still was too loud, could've had the whole thing turned down just a bit and everyone i spoke to agreed. So maybe it's not their sound system that's bad, they just need someone who can operate it properly. Then in all fairness; i said they need more food on the menu, but actually I've only been there to the music shows and that's when they have a limited menu. I wish I could give 10 stars to our waitress Lindsey!! She's our favorite and is always absolutely amazing! Food and drinks are delicious! I'm giving 4 stars because every time we come during busy hours the manager stands at the bar and offers no help! Lindsey and the other waitress handles it with grace but it's frustrating to see her rush around while the manager does nothing. We had a great time here, wish the clubs near where we live were more like this - spacious, not overly crowded/over-booked, and with an outdoor space you can go to without actually leaving the venue. We saw Wonderbread 5 there a few weeks ago and it was so much fun, a great crowd, good acoustics, we were able to dance and still see the band at all times. The wine prices were very reasonable and large pours, friendly bartenders. We used to belong to Wilson & other wineries in the family, so we were happy with the selection. Visited this awesome place couple weeks ago. I wanted to taste some Sonoma wines and my buddy wanted a beer. We were a little late (were mislead from a web) for the wine tasting, but the manager Shawn happened to be by the wine tasting bar and save the day. After a flight, and few hours of driving and many wine tastings this place just nailed it. Great wine, a lots of space and many fun games. We were in town for a Wilson's futures wine tasting tour and this was a recommended stop for food and music. Really quite disappointed in the service as we checked in a little early for a 7pm reservation and took a seat at the bar after checking in with the hostess. At 7:10 we checked back in with the hostess and she totally lost track of us. 10 minutes later we got seated. After ordering our food we waited almost 40 min before we again had to inquire about our food. 5 minutes later my wife's dinner arrived. My dinner didn't arrived for another 10 minutes after my wife had almost finished her meal with some help from me because I was starving of course. The pork entree was the best thing on the menu as well as the roasted asparagus. Friends had burgers and fries that were mediocre. Wouldn't recommended the chicken wings or the curried spaezle. Server recommended for wine a Rockpile blend for $44 that was unfortunately high alcohol forward with a musty aftertaste. Maybe they'll bring brunch back and/or a better chef to the kitchen.
