Lobster was perfectly cooked. And plenty in every bite. Second order 1 large medium roast coffee. was a breakfast of champions. Corned beef hash, String potatoes. Choice of sausage, bacon or chorizo. Choice of toast and a fruit cup. The lobster omelette was delivered and eaten while the staff miscommunicated and never placed the order for the breakfast of champions. I waited until my wife was done with her lobster omelette before mentioning I was forgotten. I brought this to the attention of management explained that I was traveling through and needed to be back on the road. She apologized and offered to expedite that for me. She also gave us a couple of sweet treats as another apology. She did and I am glad I did. My breakfast was excellent. Just had to eat it on the go. Which I'm used to with all the traveling we do. So the miscommunication happened and the recovery was great. The ambiance is great open seating built with a homage to the town's industrial heritage. Definitely recommend Cafe 641.

The lox bagel had cucumbers and chive spread instead of capers but it was really good. The cookie was nice and chewy and not too sweet. I also got a bag of coffee beans to try later at home that I'm looking forward to. Everything we ate was tasty and came out in a few minutes even though they were so busy. I will definitely be back. I added a touch of salt but I always prefer that over too salty since you can't remove it. The best solution would be for them to add capers (briny and easy to remove), which is traditional with lox. The chorizo breakfast sandwich was super tasty with just the right amount of zing! I snuck the avocado mash into the bagel too.. The coffee was smooth and flavorful. The apple latte was bright and fruity, almost like cider with steamed milk? Ok that sounds weird but it was good I swear! Oh and we got a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon muffin to go! Mine didn't go far and was quite good as soon as we got home. Not sure if the muffin survived into the afternoon either.. I have to note that their waffles sound really good but I didn't order them because they don't have real maple syrup available. I highly recommend offering real maple syrup even if it's as a paid add-on. I would also call it "maple-flavored syrup" otherwise if it isn't real to warn people. We're in New England!
