Great food and excellent service I highly recommend!!! The ambience feels so comfortable and relaxing. I will definitely be going back very soon.

    Shrimp and Scallops Risotto

Came with a large group of girls for a bachelorette party. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and food. Fresh bread and olive oil was complimentary. The strawberries and cream Italian soda was refreshing and unique, then what I've had elsewhere. ordered the shrimp and scallop risotto. It was cooked perfectly. I loved that the scallops were crispy.

Not too dressy but also still feels special. We made a reservation (not sure if you typically need one. This was Mother's Day). Our waiter was fabulous and made our graduate feel like a million bucks. Food was good. We enjoyed.

Good find! We went on a whim to Ellicotville, forgetting it was Friday. We got there and the two restaurants we knew about were booked solid. So we grabbed some seats at the bar here. We were a little worried bc it looked more like a shabby chic bar. Nothing wrong with the look but we wanted a really nice dinner, so we were worried. But we ended up with a really great dinner! The cocktails were fine but if you're picky, stick to the basics. We started with the sprouts. Not gonna lie, they were almost as good as my favorite sprouts from Uchiko. Who knew blue cheese and sprouts were such a winning combo! We also for the fileto. Perfect! Nice peppercorn crust with mid rare inside. The gravy is usually not my thing but we soped up every bit. Heck even the brocolini was good. Glad we walked in

Everything about this restaurant is perfection. Amazing wait staff, fast service, and the food was exceptional. This was the perfect place to come with a big group of people and would recommend it to anyone visiting Ellicottville

Villaggio is a good restaurant with a slight identity crisis. They do serve their pizza with scissors which was cool. The burrata was good and the carbonara was okay too. Had a 12 Gates IPA that was pretty decent and tasted fresh. The restrooms are broom closets. Acoustics are impossible if a band is playing, your conversation will be ruined. Service was polite and attentive.

The food was pretty average. I ordered a chicken parm. It was fine. The server was friendly but a couple orders at my table were messed up. Pretty let down by this place. The food wasn't good enough for me to want to come back.

Nice atmosphere and good menu selection. It just wasn't great. This is the second time i ate here and each time i left thinking it was good, but that's it. I had the surf and turf- which translated into a 4oz filet (covered in sauce) and 5 breaded and fried(?) shrimp in a garlic sauce, which were boring and dry. My friend had the sunday sauce spaghetti which was tasty but the giant meatball was dry. I really wanted it to be a nice evening, but I was disappointed this time. It didn't help that the table next to me had four drunk 50+ year old women, acting like they were at a strip club by dancing on the balcony and sitting on male diners laps... but i digress. I will visit Villaggio again, maybe for a cocktail at the bar, and some of their delicious bread, but I think I would rather try other restaurants next time.

Had a superb experience here last night. Outstanding everything. Vibe. Staff. Apps. Entrees. Drinks. Highly recommend. We will return every visit to Ellicottville. The brussel sprouts app was ridiculously tasty. Scallops done perfectly. Haddock Milanese ... nailed it. Mic drop.

Went here with friends and I won't speak for everyone (pasta bar was so so) my meal was perfect, insanely good, everything I wanted it to be. I had the Chilean sea bass with farro and it was incredibly flavorful. Partner was pleased with their tomahawk steak as well. Ordered the $5 mozzarella bread for the table because when can you even get a $5 app anymore? Definitely worth it. Will definitely be going back because my sea bass was one of my top five meals ever.

Good wine, decent food, lukewarm experience - i wish I could rate it higher. I had made a reservation a few weeks in advance as I knew EVL would be full with skiers over MLK weekend. We got there right for our reservation and the place was PACKED. It was a buzzy atmosphere, with a big screen playing sports games and the bar full of patrons. The host told us that the people who had our table had their checks but weren't leaving - blaming the other patrons when I would later see why they were probably still at our table (spoiler: they probably were still waiting for their food!) I watched as multiple other tables were sat and even the manager trying to get people without a reservation a table. Finally, 20 minutes later we had a table. We ordered drinks and apps, then our waiter didn't take our entree order for another 20 minutes. We got a few appetizers, including the "focaccia" which definitely was not focaccia bread but it was still tasty. Then it was the waiting game - after arriving at 7:30, we ultimately didn't receive our food until 9:30 PM. There was no "sorry for the wait" or "your food is on its way!" From other reviewers, this may be a common experience. I really enjoyed my carbonara, but I also would have loved it at least an hour earlier.

    Chalet style- live it
    Christoph S.

We loved it. Had a reservation for dinner- still COVID protocol in place. Nice and friendly host and service was even better. Server was very attentive, checking on us regularly and really knowing the food. Nice ambiance you get a little bit of the feeling being in the alps - in a Swiss Chalet (" Hütte") - so we loved it. Food was excellent. We started with the Brussel sprouts- we just love the crispy way they done it. As a special they had Oysters on the menu so we took half a dozen- $2 for each - tastes wonderful. Continuing with the Scallops and added some truffle fries - all well done, tasting great and finishing our lovely dinner experience with a nice tiramisu- which was almost gone before I could take a picture. Ok it was still off season- but if they to the same job in high season too - it's definitely the place to go.

Anyone aware of gluten free options? Menu doesn't make it clear.

Hi Kay thanks for reaching out! We have gluten free pasta that can be substituted in most of the pasta dishes, as well as risotto and arugula salad (Richards scallops on the arugula salad is my personal favorite!) Hope to see you soon!

Everything was fresh, cooked well and put together nicely. It was a decent portion size. Service was top notch. She made sure all my menu choices were safe for me. It was much appreciated. My only comment is that since this is part of the ski resort it's pretty pricey. Salad, no drink, was about $30.

The place had closed so the next day I went to ask them about it and brought the itemized receipt. Was met with"nothing we can do" so i asked if they can credit the price difference to another take out order for the current evening since we stayed at the hotel. Hesitantly they agreed. Since mistakes were made the first take out order and I was told to repeat my order next time to make sure they get it right (although restaurant staff should do this typically; read back the order they took) i preceded to go slow and repeated it, even pointed on the menu. 30 minutes later at pick up, I noticed again I was overcharged by $40+ . I Asked to review the order to find the discrepancy and the lady that took my order input a completely different meal considerably more in price, up charged on salad, and did not credit from evening before that manager agreed to. Back and forth for 30 minutes and waiting for them to remake the incorrect meal and toss in the caesar side salad ($10) just to arrive back to the room and see the smallest salad without dressing! The manager made it a point to take out the regular sized salad and give the tiny one. At the very least leave the salad since you wasted so much of my time and frustration. I would have avoided writing this review, but that put me over the top. So much time wasted and met with unpleasant service, so disappointing as we used to be very happy with the service in all of our past visits over the years. On the contrary the food overall was good! Chef did a nice job, the other staff was just incompetent and seemed annoyed even though it was their fault over and over. I see similar reviews so maybe upper management should have a meeting with staff on how to better respond to situations and be more attentive. It was two different servers that took orders on two separate nights.

Finding any GF options when visiting small towns can be a challenge so I'm really thankful to have found Finnerty's! We ordered: - Jalapeño Poppers (for my gluten-consuming husband) - Stuffed Banana Peppers (Gluten Free) - Chicken Wings ordered well done with hot sauce (Gluten Free) - Smash Burger on Gluten Free Sesame Bun & Chips - Hamburg Carrot Cake Brown Ale (for my Gluten-consuming husband) There were only 3 Jalapeño Popper left so our server didn't charge us for them. They were your run-of-the-mill frozen poppers; nothing special. The Stuffed Banana Peppers were a special for the day and they were pretty delicious. They were cheesy, stuffed with sausage and topped with a delicious tomato red sauce. The Chicken Wings were well done, as we requested but were average which was a surprise considering all of the claims to be award winning. The Gluten Free Sesame Bun was one of the best GF buns I've had but the burger patties were average. The meat didn't seem like it was seasoned but the cheese and grilled onions helped add some flavor. Not worth $15.95, in my opinion especially because you have to pay $1.50 each for any additional toppings and it only comes with generic potato chips. The Hamburg Carrot Cake Brown Ale was listed on the draft beer list but was served in a can. Our server was attentive and had a kind/sweet personality. Here's a few highlights about the space: - Pool Table - Golden Tee Golf Video Game - Hockey Foosball Table Game - Old Arcade Video Game - 8+ TVs; I believe they're usually tuned into sports. - Music was really loud; it was somewhat difficult to hear our server. Overall, I would come here again when visiting Ellicottville and try other menu items - like the Gluten Free Pizza and whatever their daily special happens to be.

The space itself is beautifully designed, with just the right mix of modern touches and cozy details which sets the tone for the whole dining experience. I ordered the duck with rice and it was truly the highlight of my meal. The flavors were layered and balanced perfectly, and the duck was cooked to perfection--tender and flavorful without being too heavy. It's clear that a lot of thought goes into how the dishes are prepared and presented. Dessert was the only area that didn't quite shine as much for me. While it was nice to have a sweet ending to the meal, the desserts felt a little on the dry side. The extensive wine list and the full bar more than made up for it. There's such a wide variety to choose from that it feels like there's something for every palate, whether you're a cocktail fan or a wine lover. If this spot were closer to me, I know I'd be here all the time.
