Had the worst experience I've ever had in a nail salon here today. I called ahead asking if they could do a color change- mind you I'm getting married in 3 days and explained this to them / I wasn't happy with the color I got from a previous salon. When I went there, I was treated like I was the biggest annoyance to enter their salon. The nail tech "assisting" me was SO insanely rude to me- sat me down then went to another client while yelling at me from across the room. Won't even get into detail but nonetheless I got up and said forget it and left. As I was leaving I got chased out by maybe the owner? Saying "come back I'll help you". After relocating to Stamford I wanted to find a go-to nail salon that was in the area and high quality. I never had a bad manicure or pedicure from Cozy Nails and they always lasted FOREVER. I still have yet to have a gel manicure that held up so well. The staff was always friendly and I never had a problem with them taking a credit card. Before I start with my horrible experience I'll start with a positive. Emma is very nice and does awesome pedicures. Unfortunately the establishment where she works is shitty. I went to this place on Thursday and got a full set for a wedding. I paid $65 for a full set with French ombré which I figure is pretty reasonable.I broke a nail the next day (Friday) I went back and got it fixed. Saturday I broke two more nails. Making it a total of 3 nails in 3 days. Please keep in mind I did not have a set on prior to my install, on Thursday I came with BARE NAILS. I called on Saturday and asked if I could come back for a second time after my initial installation to get my two nails fixed the man who I assume is the owner told me to come back at 11:30 Sunday morning. I came, and he asked me to come back at 1:30. As soon as I sat down he started to blame me in which he told my it was my fault that my FRESH FULL SET kept breaking. He mentioned I was lucky that he didn't charge me full price for the length and argued that it was my fault my nails kept breaking. He didn't offer a refund he wasn't apologetic in anyway that I've three days I've made 4 trips to this salon to get my nails fixed all in all I will not be returning to this place. read more

I went here a few times, little over two months now. I used to only be seen by one guy who took his time and paid attention to detail. I get dip powder done and I have a hard time finding a place that pays attention to slight bumps and weird dents in the nail. This place was great for the money in regards to the work done... Until a few weeks ago. I went back and got one of the women who rushed through it. Missed half the nail practically, took no notice and told me that it should be that way. I had no time to make them fix it. I went to another salon in town today and the guy who did my nails there asked who did them because of how awful they were. So if you go to get powder or a more heavy duty type of manicure beyond regular nail polish, go to the taller, younger guy. He's great. The woman with short hair and glasses? Not so much. read more

Always great service and for $25 mani-pedi, it just can't be beat. I also tend to get the extra $10 callus remover since I don't come weekly. The only thing is that it's super busy in the am, so I'd recommend coming in later in the afternoon - they close at 7:00pm! Overall, Cozy is a clean space with attentive and friendly service. Cozy is wonderful. Everyone is so nice and Cindy is the best . I highly recommend asking for her if you want a great experience . I would however like to make a comment. Too many times I see people giving a few dollar tip or 5 or 6 dollars . If we go out to dinner and the bill is 200 dollars the person who gives you your food and drinks get 20% which is the norm , so they will get 40 bucks. But these girls scrub your feet ,massage your legs, cleaned the crud from your toe nails, Polish them and put gel nail polish ex ex... I think you get the point, and to see someone give them a few dollar tip is disgraceful . The girls work long hard hours to make sure you look good for any occasion. Ask yourself ? Worst pedicure I've had in a very long time. Mack did my mani/pedi and both took forever, and not because he was detail oriented. Just slow but still sloppy. My toes are all different lengths & the two big toes are different shapes I told him my toe was hurting and there was probably an in gown if he could cut it. He poked it, filed the side and that was it. So I left with it hurting. It was also so hot in there. I thought I was going to pass out with the fumes. It's 82 degrees out today. If I could give a zero star I would. I would NOT recommend this place. I went in on Saturday to get a gel manicure and Monday my nails were chipping. I went back to get them fixed and he told me that my nails are too weak that is why they chipped. They are weak because I keep doing gel/powder manicures. I asked him to fix my other nails that the color are fading off the tip and he refused. Now tonight after coming home from nail another nail chipped. I asked them to fix them all they refused. I used the Yelp reviews before coming to this place and Cozy Nails had one of the better outstanding reviews. As per one of the reviews, I specifically asked for Jacqueline to do my nails. She was real sweet and took her time to do a great job. The other technicians are very friendly too, everyone bids you farewell when you leave. You can pay via a card but tips are cash only. I didn't give it a five as I felt like my nails could have looked a tad better had the nail polish reached the edge of the cuticles. So a bit of a technique issue. This salon is horrible. I came in a little over a month ago to get a gel manicure and it was great. The last two times I've come in, the gel has chipped the day after. I came in today to ask for them to fix it and they told me they were too busy and to come back later. I told them I didn't live in Stamford so I couldn't come back and they basically said that was too bad because they were too busy to fix one nail that THEY messed up. That is horrible service. As my first time in this salon, I loved it! From the moment I sat down, a floor mat was set beside me so I didn't have to put my bag on the floor. One of the women there then asked if I would like a massage-- it was great! Jacqueline did my nails, and she did a great job with the gels. My cuticles are perfect and my nails look awesome. You could tell she definitely put extra time into making them look good. The only negative I can think of is that they only accept cash tips which I wish I knew ahead of time. I walked in with an automatic 5 stars. The space seemed clean, the furniture was nice and clean, and the staff was busy. I asked how long the wait was for a gel manicure, and the one at the front desk (a guy) said half an hour. Okay. I can wait. About ten minutes later another woman walks in. One of the hispanic women, the one who does the massages, asks that woman if she wants to soak her nails while she waits. Meanwhile im sitting waiting with old gel on my nails. Why didnt she offer me a soak? Then about ten minutes later, she is suddenly being helped by the front desk guy. Another 20 minutes go by and at this point ive been waiting for over 40 minutes. Another woman walks in, and the same massage lady asks if she wants to soak her nails too!! Not only that, but the massage woman would give me the side eyes, and even go as far as to openly grill me as i was sitting waiting to be helped, AND while my nails were being worked on. It was extremely rude and i felt very uncomfortable. Not to mention angry. All of that combined with the longer than promised wait time had me knock off two stars. What i appreciated was that the guy at the front desk walked me to my car with an umbrella because it has started to pour outside. While i am miffed at the whole situation, i am willing to give them another go, as my nail tech Ava was pretty good and gentle with my nails. read more

She shaped my nails so nicely and my color lasted longer than usual. Second time, I got a SNS powder manicure with Grace. I looooved my nails. The shape and color came out so nice! I am not usually someone who posts Yelp reviews, and I am normally a very understanding and patient customer. However, my experience at Cozy nails today was beyond troubling. The conditions were gross and the service was awful. I went to Cozy Nails with a friend today expecting to get a mani/pedi. We walked in at 4:50 pm. When we walked in, we were not greeted or welcomed to the salon, which wasn't a big deal but wasn't a great feeling off the bat. We picked out our colors and stood around for about 10 minutes until deciding to take a seat on the couch sitting in the middle of the salon. No one spoke to us until about 5:15 when they quickly asked if we both wanted mani/pedis. At about 5:40 (almost an hour after arriving), I was finally directed to a pedicure chair. I sat down and put my feet in the tub, and sat there alone soaking my feet in cold water for a good 10 minutes. Finally, someone came over to do my nails. Meanwhile, the woman sitting in the chair next to me was getting a callus removing treatment. That alone is no problem, we all have to treat our feet, especially in flip flop season! However, the way the manicurist was doing the treatment was appalling. She was very aggressive while working on her feet, and was letting the chunks of dead skin fly all over during it. She let the dead skin pile up on the towel, and on the floor around the chair, and right next to my flip flops. When the treatment was over, she did not clean up the chunks, except for quickly tossing the towel in the trash, letting the chunks fall even more around. When the woman left the pedicure chair, they merely rinsed it out with water to get it ready for the next customer. During mine and my friend's pedicure, the two manicurists were rushed and being very rough. She very quickly trimmed my toenails, letting the clippings fall on the ground and leaving them there. In addition, the tools used for both of our pedicures were ones that were sitting out on a tray, not sanitized. Also, to separate our toes for the pedicure, she used a napkin that was clearly meant for eating, not pedicure services. Our pedicures finally finished around 6:00, and were brought over to chairs for our manicure. The woman didn't change or move the paper towel for me to put my hands on, which was dirty with old nail polish stains and had old fingernail clippings on it. When the woman who had done my pedicure came over to do my nails at 6:15, she grabbed my hands to look at them before starting. I have very dry skin on my fingers due to extreme dry skin and eczema, and she took one look at my hands and had a visible reaction of disgust. She asked the woman next to me if it was ok to work on my hands and she said yes. However, she then told me someone else would be over to do mine and went off to do another persons pedicure. This is clearly a very big insecurity for me, and I felt humiliated by this. I then had to wait another 15 minutes for someone else to come and do my nails. While I was sitting there I was looking around the salon and noticed on the tile there were leftover toenail clippings all around and the pedicure stations all had not been properly cleaned in between each customer. Someone eventually came to do my manicure, and was extremely rushed and barely paid attention to me during it. She did not use clean tools, just ones that were out on the station. She was looking away while filing my nails and did not look closely while painting them at all. We finally left at 6:45, almost 2 hours after arrival. Once again, I am normally not someone who writes long reviews, but the conditions at Cozy nails today left me feeling dirty afterward and made me very uncomfortable during my service. read more

One of which didn't even make an appointment and was told would be next (which is fine because she had been waiting long) but when you tell someone they have an appointment it would be nice to honor that appointment. Left after waiting over an hour because I had prior obligations and couldn't spend another two hours in the place. Very disappointed in this place, it would of been nice if they just said they don't have the availability or just honored appointments how they should. I had been traveling 40+ minutes home (to Westchester County) to get my nails done bi-weekly, but was in a pinch this week and Cozy came recommended by a friend. I am always skeptical of nail salons, but was beyond impressed with the service and cleanliness of this place. The gel color selection was amazing, and the price was right as well ($30 for a color gel, $25 if you come Monday-Wednesday). Went last Sunday for mani-pedi I was with two other women. They completed my friends' mani-pedi and hadn't even put polish on my toes. Left me sitting waiting while they got pedi finally someone came over and then she didn't finish doing my feet. I sat down on sofa and still no one came to assist me. I finally put on my shoes. When someone did come over, I told them to for get about my nails as my friends where just finishing up. I have gotten manicures, pedicures, and eyebrow waxing done here. They are SO nice and truly make a relaxing experience. The neck massage at the end of the massage and while your nails are drying is very nice. I love the friendly atmosphere and my nails have always turned out great!! read more

As a Stamford local I feel it's so hard to find a good place to get your nails done, but Cozy is amazing. Every time I walk in the door everyone says hello and greets me with a huge smile. In the winter someone always rushes over to take my coat to hang up, and they always lay a mat down on the floor for my purse if all the chairs are taken. Maria will practically give me a massage the whole time I'm getting my manicure if she isn't busy. Everyone here works very hard, you can definitely tell. My nails always come out flawless, and they have such a color range selection. The prices are as fabulous as my mani pedi. My gel manicure from here never chips, compared to other places. From cozy my gels can last me three weeks and I end up needing to come in because my cuticles look so ridiculous growing in! By far my favorite nail place, I get so upset when they're super booked/busy and I need to go somewhere else when I wait last minute to stop by. read more

I called Cozy Nails to see if they do acrylic nail fill-ins. I was told yes. I made an appointment. What is so difficult about that I'd like to know? What happened to customer service? I was given a long song and dance about gel manicures even when I said several times I do not like gel manicures. Period. The long and the short of it is that I was given a manicure that cost almost twice the usual price of about $20. It is unfortunate that Cozy Nails will not learn that I am a 30% Tipper. The people at these salons work very hard to give us something that's a treat. But don't give me a hard time when I don't want what you want to give me.
