DO NOT GO HERE! If there was an opportunity to give this business a zero, I would. I originally walked in for a French gel pedicure. The nail tech did my left foot first then moved onto the right foot. All of the lines were different sizes. She took them off about 4-5 times. After this is opted to just get a solid blue since the French was too much. The manager was called over and told me that no one was going to fix it. Love this place! I've gone 3 times since May and had a great experience each time. Today I got gel manicure and regular pedicure with Coco. She was efficient and meticulous and cleaned my nails well :) Rosa did my gel manicure and spa pedicure last time and did amazing as well! I can't remember the name of the male who did my spa pedicure the first time but was also great!! My nails have lasted 3-4+ weeks each time which is great considering I am constantly washing/using my hands for work. Really impressed. It's clean (clean bathroom too) and relaxing. I love the steam feature they have when you do a spa pedicure. I used to go to Color City in Newfield but didn't love the my mani/pedis the last few times I went. I spent well over 200$ and I wasn't thrilled not having the older man do my nails because he does such a great job. I use to go to him when I was a teen and just him. But this lady took me in and I had an event to go to but now the nails are peeling and the shape is kind of rough and unsightly. I knew this would happen because you don't need to overly layer a gel polish and I know because I use to build my own nail and design. But sometimes it's nice to do something kind for yourself. I moved to Stamford last summer and tried out a few nail salons to find my new place and One Nail still holds the position of Queen. They have a relaxing environment, an abundance of color options whether you're getting a regular, gel or powder manicure. I love the spa pedicures. I've yet to have a bad one. Coco did my nails today and she is efficient but also a perfectionist. There's also a younger man that does nails and he is quite good too. Downhill since they changed hands, the new owner is very rude. I called for a manicure he told me to come, and when I got there (10 mins later) he looked and me and said no. I was 9 months pregnant trying to get my final manicure. That was the final straw, I was already unhappy because it seemed they changed the gel top coat and my manicures weren't lasting. They immediately handed us a book to choose the spa pedicure and seemed very judgmental when we said we weren't interested. After looking at the options more, we decided to opt in and treat ourselves to a little extra treatment. My friend didn't choose her color when we walked in (we weren't instructed to, so we assumed they would hand us swatches to choose from as most nail salons do now). When she told her pedicurist that she hadn't chosen one, she mumbled under her breath then said something we didn't understand to the woman doing my pedicure. Which also continued to happen throughout our experience and made us feel like we were being spoken about. My pedicure was awful. She didn't cap the free edges of my nails so I'm sure they will chip in no time. She missed half of the nail on my smallest toe. She also did not apply the polish fully (there is a gap of space between where the polish begins and my cuticle) so it looks like it has already started to grow out. I also asked that she only push my cuticles and not to cut, but instead she did nothing at all to my cuticles. When my friend handed her pedicurist her tip, she walked away and mumbled "hm. not much." Which she then repeated a SECOND time when the male employee asked her what she said. Less than sub par experience. Made to feel uncomfortable. Find somewhere better. Don't waste your time, money or effort. read more

I'm always skeptical when I see great reviews on yelp but literally this was the best nail salon and mani pedi I've ever had. Convert for life, won't shut up about it now. Rosa was amazing. Walked in without an appointment Wednesday at 5PM and there was no wait. Amazing selection of colors and long wear polish for only $3 extra. I used to go to Posh in Greenwich every two weeks but they really went downhill and have been rude so I'm over the moon that I found a new spot. I'm telling everyone about how great this place is! For only $49, I got the most meticulous mani pedi ever. Rosa did an incredible job with a red polish on my toes, taking great care with cuticles and ingrown cutting. Shape is perfect and polish is even. She was very gentle with filing on top and cuticle cutting - no blood or frayed fingers. She was very careful painting the nail too, looking at the polish in the light for even application, touching up the tips underneath, and I'm just shocked this whole experience took an hour. The above and beyond details like the moisturizing gloves and leg massage were sooo special. I felt so relaxed and pampered. The place was super clean too, I appreciate they're very careful with COVID protocol. All around 11/10. Take all my money. Customer for life. read more

Normally a good experience but depends on who you get. Lucy did my manicure and pedicure on Thursday. The pedicure was fine, but a bit rushed. My gel manicure however was a disaster. She didn't fully take away the previous gel and started with the next. Halfway through her other client came in so she rushed. Not cleaning any of the lines and ceiling my nails to my skin. Once done I looked and there were peaks on my nails. I pointed them out, she touched and said "it's already set" like "too bad". And then walked away and went to her other client. Are you kidding me?!? I paid and left. Went outside in the light and saw that half of my hands looked like this, one had so many spikes of gel it could have been a dinosaur. I went right back in and demanded them to be fixed. I had to have 4 nailed completely redone and the others has to be fixed to remove the excess set polish that fused my skin to my nails. Now today, Sunday only 3 days later my gel is peaking off in sheets. What an absolute waste of money. Just because your next client comes in doesn't mean you're done with the client in-front if you. Tried this place out on a Tuesday evening. It was pretty quiet inside and I was taken immediately. The decor is very nice and the music is calming. The staff was very nice and inviting and the lady doing my nails made great suggestions for me. They had a ton of gel colors to choose from and the lady doing my nails was very thorough and paid attention to detail. I was even offered a free massage during my visit (can't say no to that!). I also got my eyebrows waxed and the lady was very gentle and did a great job. As a new business they are giving customers 30% off every visit up until March of 2020! My suggestion is park in the home goods lot and walk over as their lot is a bit small. Will definitely be back again soon! read more

Their staff is extremely professional and capable- I have never left unhappy and with something I loved! I also appreciate that they stay true to their appointments! I've been to many salons where I end up waiting a long time or don't get the person I asked for, which has never happened here. Speaking of, I highly recommend making an appointment in advance! It's always lovely walking in and being immediately seated with someone ready to go. You also can't beat the price! This place is substantially lower than a few others I tried ($45 for SNS) and they have a very large collection of colors! We first visited One Nail & Spa after it's grand opening in April 2022. They were offering half off services, so we had to try. The space is absolutely lovely. Super clean and we'll designed. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The menus are great, and I especially appreciate the boxed kits that allow for clean, sanitary experiences. My experience was horrible. I had my nails done (gel manicure) by Kevin (owner's brother?). He was harsh, rude, and brash. Is this good customer service? No! He filed and drilled my nail plates until there was only a thin covering! I should have just walked out then. I regret not having done that. When I asked him not to do so much drilling and filing, he just laughed. And then, when he didn't think I had my hand close enough to him, he pulled on it hard toward him. If I moved my head even the slightest he'd get upset. When he wanted me to put my hands under the light he'd tap my hand hard. Ugh. Horrific experience. And he'd laugh whenever I got upset with him and asked him to please be gentle. Only 2 days afterward the nail polish chipped. And now only 10 days out almost all of the nails are flawed. I recently moved to Stamford and needed to find a new nail place. I did some research and decided to go with One Nail & Spa. To start, the place is immaculate and they have so many color options, including the Essie Gel and other fast drying options (of course for an extra fee). There is a large TV in view of all the pedicure chairs, if you're into that. I was greeted very nicely as soon as I walked in. I ended up having Ines do my pedicure and if you're like me and really go mainly for the massage, I highly recommend her but you'll have to pay to get one of the spa pedicures with the massage. I did the honey spa pedi which included a scrub, a moisturizing wrap, a hot steam machine during the 10 minute massage which included hot stones and it was $43. Pretty amazing! After the massage, they needed Inez to do a gel pedi so the girl who greeted me, Christina, (not in the spa uniform so I assume a manager/owner of some type) painted my toes and did my gel manicure. She was very fast while also doing a perfect job which I love because who doesn't want that!? I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back! read more

I came away with the skin peeling around the nail on my big toe; as well as the toe being red and inflamed.
