Not only a takeout place, it actually had ample seating inside. But I wouldn't want to eat there because it was dark, cold and sad, even in the middle of the day. They have Japanese items on the menu, but I would advise against getting any sushi from the looks of the place. Now, if it was a blind taste test and I just had the food in front of me, it's just regular takeout food but the hot & sour soup was actually good with big pieces of chicken and tofu. I wish I read the reviews on Yelp, instead of going off the 4.5 star rating on seamless. I ordered at 6:33pm, delivery estimate of 7:30-7:45, standard for a Sunday, except it got to be 8:10 so I called. They said they would send the food out right away. We got our food at 9pm after lodging a complaint with Seamless. The food itself: * Ginza Roll - bad, they don't use the typical large tempura shrimp and while the heat was right, there was an off sweet after taste that wasn't good. * Salmon Avocado roll - brown avocado, ok fish, small rolls * Pork dumpling - best out of the order * Pork Lo mein - pretty good, but cold * Bento box E - pretty good, but the salad looked off. Save your time and your money. For a $50 order, or even a $15 order, a 2 hour wait is unacceptable. read more

This has become my family's new go-to take out place. The atmosphere is...non-existent and I don't think I'd ever actually eat here. It can be very hot and smokey inside. If you call in an order it might be a little hard to communicate, but I've never had them get the order incorrect. They tend to underestimate how much time they need, so don't speed over right after placing your order. Food has been consistently good. We mostly stick with Chinese-American staples like beef and broccoli, fried rice, dumplings, lo mein, etc. but there are some more authentic items I'd like to try. We're a little bit (4 miles) away so i didnt think 70 min delivery was unreasonable and they were within their specified time frame, still glad to use it because we dont like the local takeout chinese place. We stuck to the chinese food and it was good- BBQ ribs were tasty, bourbon chicken was decent and reminded me of 1995!!! Its decent and standard take out Chinese from my point of view. 3stars, 4 stars, could be either. As they say in the NFL, "it is what it is" I'll order from there again. read more

I just had the worse experience with Cozyroom. We ordered at approximately 7:30 on their website which we found out was "down" once we called because an hour had gone by and our food still hadn't been delivered. I called and spoke to a gentleman named Travis who seemed to take very good care in ensuring that my order was placed correctly.....or at least I thought. He told me that we should expect a delivery in about 30 mins (it was 8:20 at that time, so we expected it to arrive at 9 the latest). Another hour rolls by, and it's now 9:30 as my boyfriend and I eat Taquitos for Valentine's Day because of the incompetence and lack of consideration from the staff and service that is Cozyroom. Decent Chinese food and quick service. Tangerine chicken is good but prefer a little more sauce. You can ask to increase the level of spice. The blackened pepper chicken can be more crisper. The crab Rangoon is very good and they are larger than most of the places I've been too so your getting a good deal for the price Overall, I'd probably order from them again if I'm in a mood for Chinese food. read more

I'm kind of torn on this place. I've tried it twice and had mixed results. The prices are quite cheap and delivery is pretty good. The egg rolls are not too oily, but don't have a ton of flavor. The wonton soup is tasty, but the egg drop soup is fairly bland and tasteless. I really, really enjoyed the pepper chicken, but my General Tso's chicken was just okay and nothing to write home about. If you're going to come here, I'd recommend the pepper chicken and wonton soup, but avoid the egg drop soup and General Tso's chicken. read more

UPDATE: After waiting literally 2 1/2 hours for my food, I received it. The "eggplant with garlic sauce" is a lie- I paid $8 and got 5 pieces of eggplant and a bunch of mixed vegetables. What the hell is that? Their garlic dumplings are sub par, and their chicken with basil was tasteless and dry. The restaurant refused to give me a full refund and offered 15% off a future order...are you kidding me? They have idiots running the restaurant and blind chefs making food. Their delivery girl Tonya told me she was the manager, but in reading these other 1 star reviews it seems that she is not in face the manager. She lied to me about when my food was getting delivered and then drove to the wrong address. Twice. You would have better luck making your own Chinese food. I ordered my food THREE hours in advance just to avoid it coming late, and preventing me from being late for work (in the hospital), it is now ONE HOUR past the delivery time and the delivery girl just called me saying my food has been ready but had a bunch of excuses as to why it hasn't been delivered. I've never had any issues with Cozy Room until this past weekend when I ordered delivery at 6:50pm through Cozy Room's website using a third party company called MenuDrive. At 7:50pm, I decided to call to get an update on our delivery. They said they were having problems with their online ordering software and didn't have my order, even though I got an email confirmation and the money had already been taken out of my bank account. I asked if they could take my confirmation code over the phone, and they said no, they'll have to call the online ordering company to verify that I actually ordered, and they'll call me back. After no call back, I call them for an update around 8:15pm and get no answer, so I finally decide to drive to the restaurant. The front desk clerk, Tonya, tells us that the manager said they cannot start making the food until they get a confirmation from the online ordering company, or else the company might be out the $49 of our order. We ask to speak to the manager, who comes out to speak to our group of 4 and is extremely unhelpful, and repeats what Tonya says. I ask if he can take my email confirmation as proof of purchase, and after 15 minutes of back and forth, agrees to start cooking the food, and says it will be about 10 minutes. It's now 9:00pm. Our group of 4 waits at a table, and in the meantime, 3 separate orders go out for delivery, and 2 walk-in orders were placed and served before our order was given to us. I ask Tonya "is the manager purposely making our food slowly? Because a number of orders have went through and we've been waiting. It's now 9:30pm". Tonya says "you know there are still some kinks to figure out, I know you're upset, I don't want to tell you not to come back but you know, that's an option". It's 9:50pm, and 3 hours later our food comes out. The manager offered to throw in a small white rice for our inconvenience. A small white rice. I then asked "is there any way we can also get a 2-liter for our inconvenience?" And we were given an expired 2-liter of Diet Coke. I'm currently in the process of trying to get someone to answer at MenuDrive to get some sort of compensation for my inconvenience, with no answer. Not only do I want compensated, but at the very least I want to be refunded my delivery fee (since I ended up driving to pick up my food), and I want to take the tip off my bill as well. I have seen this place on yelp before. It has decent reviews so i decide to try it for the first time. I place my order and they deliver it to my job. I open the food and it has hair in it so i call them back to give me a refund. First they asked me if i wanted them to make it again which of course i said no. My dish was about $10-$11 and they had the audacity to tell me to come in another day and they will give me $5 store credit on food. Lets do the math. They tried to rob me first and then they had a issue with returning my money because they didnt want to send the driver back. They also wanted proof there was hair in the food so i saved it. More like 3.5 stars but I'll round up, with all thing considered (to be clear, my review is only on delivery, I have never been to the restaurant). My bf and I ordered from Cozyroom on July 4th, after 6pm. As you can imagine, not a lot of places are open and willing to deliver. They were open and willing to deliver and my bf said they delivered to him quickly in the past. I'm not the biggest Chinese food fan but I was happy to see they offered sushi options (though, skeptical). My bf ordered chicken and broccoli and some dumplings and I opted for a few sushi rolls (Philadelphia, California Roll, and a special roll called "Red Bull Roll"). Food came relatively quickly (within the hour) and the delivery guy was very friendly and offered us a 2 liter bottle of ginger ale on the house because it was so hot out. The food was nothing special or mind blowing but definitely not bad at all. The sushi was better than expected though certainly not the best around. I ordered delivery for lunch today and initially didn't like what I got. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. He got the chef to re-make the item for me, called me up to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and came back all the way to deliver. In addition, he paid me half my bill back and wouldn't take it back! He even texted me to make sure I was happy with the food. 4 stars for great service! Good for the money if you're starving and have friends that have never had good Chinese food. The mongolian beef was greasy, 60% sweated onions and bland beef that was strangely the texture of chicken. Egg rolls are decent if you soak them in soy/duck sauce. Fried rice is bland with no texture, actually almost mush. The wonton soup had no taste. The dumplings however saved this review - would only order dumplings again, they were homemade and very tasty with the dumpling sauce even though the sauce was a little strong. Definitely not going to be my go-to. edit- also ordered fried sweet plantains (maduros) but they prepared tostones which are twice-fried flattened green plantain. My fiancé ordered from Cozyroom through EatStreet this evening. He ordered the Chicken Teriyaki dinner combination, Wonton Soup, Fried Dumplings, and an Egg Roll. The first time the meal was delivered, the chicken was unseasoned, had an off-putting grey color, and had no sauce on it. After he contacted the restaurant and sent a picture as proof that his food was not made correctly, a replacement "Chicken Teriyaki" was sent. The second meal appeared more like Chicken Teriyaki Soup - the chicken was absolutely swimming in a thin sauce with a terrible taste, and the chicken had the texture of rubber. Thankfully, EatStreet provided a full refund for the inedible food. We will not be ordering food from this restaurant again. read more

We came in on a Saturday/Sunday noon for lunch, and nobody else was in the restaurant. They were just opening, so we were shown into a 2nd room, which is all dark and cold. After ordering the food, we waited in the cold room. No waiter came by, but we thought that's fine, it's a "fast food joint" anyway (even though they have at least 5-7 tables with chairs in the dark room). We turned on the light. The waiter walked by and close the shades and turn the light back off (I'm not kidding). Then the food came, and we asked for water. He scoffed and said "Well, you should've told me earlier when I came here so I don't have to come back". We were stunned. In such a competitive dining world, how a restaurant can even attempt to survive with this kind of attitude and blatant disrespect to its customer escaped us. Granted that the manager might've seen this and tried to be nice by forcing an awkward smile for us at the end. Food is so so, not authentic, nothing to be proud of. Our food was at our door within 30 minutes of placing the order and it was very hot and fresh. We ordered the Black Pepper Chicken, Sesame Chicken Platter, and Scallion Pancakes. Both chicken dishes were crispy and not too heavily sauced. I asked for the Black Pepper Chicken to be spicy and it was just enough spice. The peppers in it were well cooked and not mushy. I was happily surprised by the amount of pancakes you got for less than $4. They were a little greasier than I would have preferred but not overwhelming. Nice scallion taste and the dough wasn't overly chewy. The Seasme Chicken platter was huge, probably close to a pound of chicken if not more. My dinner was delivered wrong and when i called back for them to deliver it on the side the lady yelled at me on the phone saying they were closed. There website says they close at 10:30 and it was 10:15. Regardless the delivery took an hour so maybe if they moved in a timely manner they wouldnt have been "closed". Atmosphere was spare but the flavors made up for that. Nice, quiet and a bit chilly--seemed more geared to takeout and delivery although they had lots of tables. Clean and neat. Inexpensive. The sauce on my broccoli dish was outstanding, and the egg drop soup was on the sweet side for a nice change of pace. White rice was moist and soft but not chewy or sticky, which was nice. The order took a bit longer than I hoped, but not crazy long. I can safely recommend this place when you have a little extra time and are not looking to impress an out-of-town guest. The so-so: The pepper chicken was sweet, but good. The steamed dumplings were small, but tasty. The not so good: lo mein was a bit bland. Burbon chicken was overcooked and mushy- just weird. general tsaos was not good. So overall, good appetizers, but not so good main dishes. Chicken chow fun was decent, the noodles were stuck together but wasnt as overcooked as many places I've been to. I wish the black peppered chicken was crunchier, but it was flavorful. I was advised to get the chicken with garlic sauce spicy, and was glad for it. Overall, its your usual chinese takeout place, with more seating, and less grease. New owners have taken over this place. They have added a bunch of new items but sadly, the food and quality is no good. They also do not honor any Yelp deals. We have ordered from them on 2 occasions since the new owners took over (figured they are working the kinks out). They tried to do some fusion type of fare and it's an epic failure. The food was undercooked and some of it was raw (we ordered fried dumplings and the dough was raw on the inside as well as the meat). The food has also become overbearingly salty and borderline inedible. It is a shame that they have taken a turn like this, I guess it's time to find a new place for Chinese food. read more
