Instead of sending it in to scuf and paying approx $100-150 after them having the controller for over 6-8 weeks, I was more than happy that Robert was able to fix the stick drift for more than half that price and same day. He replaced my joysticks with TMR joysticks which will be incredibly less prone to get stick drift and even it does, I can recalibrate the joystick magnets to fix the stick drift myself. Now, before you blast me for even having an AM/FM radio from the mid-90s, you should know this radio has received "cult" status among DXers for its ability to pull in far-away AM stations from across the country. As a DXing hobbyist, in Houston I normally pull in AM stations from as far north as Chicago, west to Salt Lake City and Denver, all states across the Gulf Coast to Florida, up to Nashville (and everywhere in between). I have even pulled in two AM stations in Cuba. OK. Back to the broken analog tuning knob. I took the radio to Ron's because it was close and I was hoping it could be repaired. He told me it was probably the dial pulley on the inside of the radio, and said it would take a couple days. The next day he called and told me it was ready! Fast service, very reasonable cost, and the radio worked as good as new!
