Having the virtual assistant is absolutely horrible, texted the assistant for a haircut for a short cut cause I honestly thought that it meant to trim well no since I had long hair it would be a long cut would've been nice if it was an actual person explaining this to me instead of going straight to the AI. Couldn't look it up cause I was using voice to text Bluetooth. I had accidentally went to the wrong bishops in Santa Clara when it was supposed to be in San Jose. Drive all the way back. I couldn't call because I kept on getting the AI. Super. I arrived there about eight minutes late. Quickly walked in and apologized for being late and said that I had an appointment the receptionist that was actually at the desk looked uneasy. They said oh well you don't have short hair you have long hair and you picked a short cut and we have another booking so I don't think-" I didn't let her finish. I heard the tone I know the look. I would understand the way she was talking if I was a complete walk-in, but I had scheduled an appointment for a literal hair dusting or trim..Maybe I'm assuming a bit however it just did not sound like an adjustment to my time slot was something they could handle or they could even do. I don't expect to have someone drop everything and tend to me cause it sounded like it would've been more convenient for them if I had done everything right in the first place. my bad. My barber Julia was fantastic and despite not giving much direction I was beyond happy with my haircut. I think I may have found my new barber. This place is amazing! I had a cut with Meagan and she was great! She's really knowledgeable about curly hair. I'm not too picky about my hair so I used to go to cheap salons, but they were never really sure what to do with my curls, and things would end up uneven. When I first told Meagan that I wanted a big chop, she advised me on what she thought was best considering that my curls would shrink a lot once shorter. I went with what she thought was best. She proceeded to give me a dry cut, and the results are incredible! Not only does it look great, the service was so quick! I am so happy with my hair! Came in with overall dark brown hair and wanted a balayage. This was a very disappointing experience. I picked a color that was similar to a honey gold, but the stylist told me it was too light and she picked a brown-ish color. My hair barely looks like I had a full balayage because it's still just brown, with very minimal highlighting. I feel it was pointless to bleach most of my hair if you're just going to put brown back over it. There are some areas that are heavily highlighted, but the highlights are, for lack of better words, atrocious. See my picture for example. This isn't blended in the slightest and it looks very choppy. This looks like I had highlights to my roots that grew out over the past few years, this does not look like I just paid a salon $400 to do a nice and *blended* balayage. Now I have to spend even more money for a new salon to fix this. Would not recommend. read more

I had the pleasure of having a haircut done by Emily today. Emily is very friendly and easy to talk to. This was my first time at this salon as I needed my hair to be fixed asap due to the split ends and the absence of the volume. I made an appointment online and enjoyed a pleasant evening in the downtown of Campbell in this trendy salon while Emily fixed my hair problems with a warm hair conditioning treatment and a professional medium hair haircut. I have light layers and my length is almost the same. Emily is very careful with your hair and treats it like it is the best treasure :) Thank you, Emily! I miss Daisy. She was my usual for bangs but I noticed her name was no longer on the list. My bangs were getting really long and I needed a trim as graduation is coming up soon. I came in for my appointment with Boba on time. I didn't know who it was but they told me to wait. I was okay with that, I thought the stylist wasn't there but when she came to get me, I realized she was there and had just been talking with the receptionist and they told me to wait. Once she did my bangs, it seemed okay. It was fine at first but then she said my left side was longer and she needed to cut it more. I didn't have enough time to say it was okay before she ended up cutting it. It looked fine in the mirror but once I got to the car, I realized how crooked my bangs looked. I made an appointment for 3 blowouts for an event. It was Terrible experience. I think the stylist might have been new, but our hair literally fell flat as the 2nd and 3rd person got their hair done. I had told her multiple times that please use lots of hair spray as I need it to last for an event. That wasn't done. My hair looked completely different than what a typical blowout is supposed to look like. The person who went 2nd had a chance to just get to the venue and curl her own hair. But mine and mom's hair looked absolutely terrible. I was very disappointed. It was a special occasion and I hate my hair in every single picture. Absolutely terrible. I would NEVER recommend this place or the stylist. Instead of paying $60pp I was given a discount of $11 pp. it wasn't enough of a discount for having been done absolutely nothing to my hair and wasting 3 hours of my time. Everyone at the place was really nice. However I will not be returning and will not be recommending. They need better stylists if they plan to continue being in business. read more

While I haven't been going to this location for long, I have been getting my haircut with Ray FOR YEARS. I've followed him through numerous hair studios since getting my first hair cut in Orange Crush Studio. Friendly, but it never feels like I need to talk if I don't want to. Understands my curly/wavey hair and how to cut it short- asks questions on how I want things done or if I want the usual cut. Usually, I just let him handle it because I know it'll turn out great. This place is fairly new and was established a summer ago (according to a few stylist). The interior design most definitely gives off a different vibe. It definitely gives you more of a positive vibe! Staff are EXTREMELY sweet. I also got to meet the business owner and he was also very welcoming! * Parking : after paying for street parking, my stylist informed me that they do validate parking in the parking garage, the same building as their salon! Prices are reasonable and normal! And for services like these, it's actually cheap! I felt so welcomed and I also got to enjoy a few sip of wine as I got my hair cut and styled! I wanna start by saying this is a cool spot with good ambiance and the general vibe inside was nice. I knew walking into a salon/barber without a rec or select person in mind I was risking it, but the ratings where so good here even by guys I thought I'd give it a shot. The stylist I saw (Ivana) cut so far past my occipital bone which is like a don't do #1 for guys' cuts, makes your head look totally ridiculous. Unfortunately I assumed they'd pair me with a stylist who knew how to cut short hair but my guess is their system paired me with whoever was available. Pretty unfortunate considering I paid $50, but again I walked into an iffy situation. If Bishops sees this - your website either isn't easily showing a page of your stylists and their specialties or it doesn't show them at all, which makes the stylish selection essentially pointless as a new costumer. It's been awhile since I got my hair done so my gf surprised me by booking an appointment. Pros: I like the vibe of this place. My hair turned out great but it was no where near what I asked for or wanted. Cons: My appointment started 30min late. She didn't ask me to modify my haircut or even how I wanted it styled. She cut it how she wanted to cut it. Then styled it how she wanted to style it. I just told her the amount of inches that she could cut and also to thin it out bc my hairs so thick. We barely spoke. She didn't even ask me how I was or what my name was or If I needed the rest room. The experience felt extremely cold and robotic. Which was ok bc I was already pretty irritated by the situation. For the random freestyle cut/style and attempted dye job that she thought I wanted. The bill was almost 400 dollars. At the end she didn't even ask if I liked it or if I wanted to make changes. I probably could of been a "Karen" about it but I politely said thank you and paid her. I probably won't return here or recommend this place to anyone. I at least gave this place three stars bc I didn't end up bald. My stylist did ultimately do a really good job. My hair looks fantastic. But it's not what I wanted. It's not what I told her. It's not the close to the photo I showed her. She didn't listen to my concerns about my grey hairs, thinning out my heavy hair and free-styled it most of the way. She didn't seem to care to ask at all for the 4 hours I was there if what she was doing was how I wanted it. I sat there in silence confused on if she was done doing what she was doing. I just wanted to leave. Save some money and go to a less known smaller salon with 25 years worth of experience instead of some trendy salon that sells hoodies with people straight out of beauty school. Ivana cut my hair and, as always, did an utterly PHENOMENAL job. She's so endearing and sweet that it's impossible not to adore her. She's attentive to detail and always cuts my hair in a way that compliments my face. I came in with an awkward growing-out length and was fully prepared to look in the mirror and hate it initially, hoping I would like it in a few days. To my surprise, I LOVED how she cut it. I was astonished; it was better than I could have ever hoped for. I've been looking for someone to cut my hair like this my whole life, so I'm deeply grateful to Ivana. Lord Farquaad called, and he wants his haircut back. I made an appointment here with a stylist who already had several one-star reviews, but I just put my faith in the four or five star reviews. I really should have trusted the one-star reviews instead. Alas, live and learn. I went in with a reference photo of a simple shoulder-length cut with bangs. In the photo I showed the stylist, the bangs clearly go past the eyebrows and nearly brush the model's eyelashes. It is a sort of Zooey Deschanel look. Instead of the haircut I asked for, the haircut I received made me look like one of the guys from Dumb and Dumber- my bangs fall in the middle of my forehead, nearly an inch above my eyebrows. They are so short they do not looks anything like the reference photo. I probably should have known it would be a bad haircut while she was cutting my hair. There were some red flags, but it was too late to turn back when she had the scissors in hand and was already hacking into my hair. The first red flag was that she made me hold up a paper towel to cover my eyes while she was working on my bangs. I am not sure whether it was to keep the hair cuttings off my eyes, to keep her from stabbing me in the eye (although I'm not sure how a paper towel would have helped with that), or to prevent me from seeing her work. Either way, it was odd and no hair stylist has ever made me do that before while cutting my bangs. How can a hairstylist cut flattering bangs when they can't see your eyes or eyebrows to make sure the bangs land in the right spot? The answer is: they can't. Second, it took her nearly half an hour to cut my bangs- all the while making me hold up said paper towel. The amount of time she took to cut my bangs was a red flag because it normally takes an experienced hair stylist around five to ten minutes to chop and texturize bangs, even if they are cutting them from scratch. The fact that she required so much time for this part of the hair cut gave the (accurate) impression that she had messed up my bangs and was desperately trying to even them out and fix them- all the while cutting them shorter and shorter until they were tiny little baby bangs. Third, she turned me away from the mirror and would not allow me to see her work at any time until she believed that she had completed the haircut. The purpose of having a mirror in front of a salon chair is so the client can see what the hair stylist is doing. I think she was struggling and lacked confidence in her work, and did not want to reveal how badly the haircut was going, and that is why she only turned me around for the big (awful) reveal at the end. The end of the story is that I walked out of the salon shell-shocked and sporting a haircut that sort of looks like the Little Lad from that old Skittles Berries and Cream commercial. It is a good thing hair grows. That is my only consolation. read more
