Decent restaurant if you want crab legs. They have an all day special where you can either buy 2lbs of crab legs (about $60) and get a lb free, or buy a combo and get a side free. We started with 2 appetizers, the Mac and cheese balls and the lobster fries. We really enjoyed the Mac and cheese balls ($6.99). The lobster fries ($14.99)were okay, not very heavy on the lobster whatsoever. We decided to share the combo with the 1/2 lb snow crab legs, 1/2 lb shrimp, and lobster tail. Our included free side was a 1/2 lb sausage. It also came with a 1/4 corn on the cob and a few potato's as well. They didn't ask us what we wanted in terms of spice or flavors but it seemed they did a garlic butter which is what we would have chosen. For a Pepsi and sweet tea and the above the total came to about 75 dollars before tip. The ambiance was kind of like a joes a crab shack. The service was not great, but not terrible. I usually order from this place about once a week. I usually get it to go, they arent the best but they are close and they offer a 1/2 snow crab boil which is perfect for the late night craving when I have it. I ordered to go last week, over the phone. They stated 5-10 minutes which already had me uncomfortable. I pick the order up and nothing is popping right, they are like rubber. I had to dig into everyone, a waste of money. Which is why I only do the 1/2 pound from them because you never know. Called to speak with a manager, just to inform. He asked what time was the order picked up. It was around 9-10pm, he stated it was probably because they were about to close. They dont close until 11, so thats no excuse. If you're still open and taking orders its no way I should have old food especially when it doesnt take long to steam crabs. He then stated his "brother" would call back, as he was at the bank. Never got a call, no problem. Like I said, just wanted to inform him. Last night I decided I wanted crabs but since they are so close and it was "5 minutes" last time, I decided to drive there then order. I get there around 10:15 and as soon as I park I noticed a worker turning the open sign off but I know they dont close until 11. I call in and the worker acts confused about 1/2 snow crabs so I tell her no worries I would order online, like I usually do. Im sitting outside of the establishment and I notice people getting turned around everytime they try to go in. I go online to verify the menu hasnt changed then proceed to doordash to place a pick up order. They were closed on door dash, which sometimes isnt out of the norm. So I call back in, only a few minutes has went by. She tells me they close the grill at 10:30, huh? But you close at 11, it takes no time to steam crabs. So now I want to speak with a manager to verify. I called in today, same manager from last week. Super non chalant but listened. He ended up telling me he wasnt there cause he had to pick up his kids but when he is there he closes at 11 like they are suppose to. But they had a new stock holder there, who has been with them 2 months and pretty much can do what he wants and also the kitchen manager will shut it down when he feels the need or if they are slow. He also told me that guy I saw turn off the light was probably the kitchen manager, we confirmed it was. He ended it with saying he would let the owner know, just like "his brother would call back". Customer service is terrible when a manager doesnt care and can only offer excuses and rebuttals. Why not just close at 10:30? Why not take accountability as a manager? Seems lazy on everybody end to me, would not recommend, especially after dark since staff clearly closes when they feel the need, but I would highly recommend crafty crab on wake forest rd. The ONLY reason I didnt order from them is because they dont offer the 1/2 pound, a little further and are ALWAYS packed with a crowd (I like to eat inside this one). I chose to sit at the bar initially and ordered a Lemon Drop Martini made with Absolut Citron but if you have another vodka preference, the bartender will customize it for you. They offer $2 off certain cocktails as well and I took advantage of that special and got a Pirate Mule similar to a Moscow mule. I closed out my tab to go sit at table. * warning gratuity is already added to check even thought it doesn't say it on receipt At the table, Xavier provided great service despite the large crowd that started coming in after 7 for this special night. I ordered a crab boil bag with Snow Crab Legs with Du Jour sauce ( a combo of all the spices : Garlic Butter, Lemon Peppet, Old Bay). And asked for medium spice level. I'm from out of state, I feel that's important to note because maybe people that's from here like this, but I would give this definitely a three out of 10. The corn in my boil bag was extremely old, the potatoes were old as well and you could tell because they were discolored severely. The house sauce lacks erious seasoning. However, the restaurant was packed, it seemed like people were enjoying themselves. All reviews you see that are mentioning the staff members not delivering great customer service is true. When I walked into place my order, the young lady was on her personal cell phone, giggling, and smiling. I had to tell her, although I was standing there with the menu in my hand, that I was ready to order, and she told me to wait a minute. There was also a guy, no uniform, but he came from the back and asked us did we need any additional help when we declined he pulled out his cell phone and started talking on the phone giving someone directions to get to the restaurant. Lastly, in the to go area, there were at least a dozen orders ready And someone's order got mixed up, you could hear the associates talking smack about the customer although the restaurant is the one that messed up the order. I don't think employees should visibly be on their phones, and if you are, you do need to acknowledge the customer the moment they walk in, we also should not speak ill on anyone within earshot of anyone else. read more

Took quite a while to even get our drink order placed, we were waiting on our server to show up. The food was meh. The fried mac and cheese was pretty bad. It actually tasted like it was from a package from the frozen section of the grocery store. My fried shrimp were average. I chose the Cajun fries, only had a few. Undercooked and basically zero seasoning. My dinner guest chose the crab legs with shrimp boil, with lemon butter seasoning. She enjoyed her meal. We were given no silverware, no plates, no crab cracking utensils. I asked for silverware, our server looked surprised. She brought us each one fork... The sauce I chose was the De Jour Special (which is all the sauces mixed) and Medium Spice Level. It was good! I'm typically a picky person, but the food was clean, hot and delicious! Next time I will order some more sides and try the Hot Spice Level. Other than that, me and my party were satisfied!!! The menus are greasy to touch leaving a grimy residue. We did not stay to eat for the shear chance their food safety practices mirrored the uncleanliness of the dining/waiting areas and bathrooms. My boyfriend and I went here and I can only spoke on what we ate, the crabs were good, nicely cooked and a big size but it was overly seasoned with garlic even though I had ordered Cajun seasoning the spiciest they could make it it was just to garlicky which neutralizes the spice, he had the shrimp po'boy which was in his opinion good and gave it a 8.5, while the fries were great. We went in and ordered 1 lb king crab, 1/2 lb shrimp, and 1/2lb scallops with garlic butter. The garlic butter was perfectly seasoned and complimented all the seafood we ate.
