Husband and I coming into Sanford for business. Decided to try this eatery and we were pleasantly surprised. Waitress was just ok but it was nice and quiet inside. We decided to get the #2 boil and it was excellent. Food was seasoned well and plenty to eat! There is something so satisfying about eating seafood w your fingers. The sauce was delicious and everything was fresh and tasted clean. We enjoyed it so much we came back the next day for lunch before we went home from our business trip. Recently opened in Sanford so decided to check it out for a special family dinner. The location is very modern with neon lights & cute fish themed decor. They also have a full bar with some unique cocktails. Service was very attentive and prompt. For the 4 of us, we ordered the Crab House Special A which came out in a huge pan (see pic). We also ordered fried oysters with sweet potato fries. Food was excellent! The portions were very generous & an excellent value. Seafood was very fresh. New olreanian here I found the food solid and tasty (obviously a different style here) Lobster bisque good not sweet like some Clam chowder very solid. What an amazing addition to the Sanford area! First, food is incredible. You will never see a complaint about flavor. Second, the staff, owner etc care ALOT and are pouring their hearts and souls into this place. It really comes through. The over all ambiance is AWESOME. Nothing like it in Sanford. Note to staff/owner; if you see negative reviews you'll notice it's 90% people complaining about price. Sanford unfortunately is full of boomers living on social security so any town growth that brings us to the current century they complain about. They have lived in this town their whole lives and never traveled. Your pricing is 100% correct and do not change it. Seafood is a luxury and good seafood even more so. It should cost. We have been going here since they first opened. I wanted to wait and try them several times to give an honest review. So we've been a total of 4 times now and each time it's been AMAZING! We haven't never had bad service, bad food, or any problems what-so-ever! My 4 year old son loves the kids chicken nuggets and french fries... I always get the sausage fried rice and a side of the spring rolls... and my husband gets the make your own bag...... we usually drive to Raleigh for his crab boil bags, but now we can stay in town. He said that they are better than the ones he gets at other seafood boil places. The food comes out hot and fresh, and our servers have been wonderful and attentive! The ambiance is completely different than any place here in Sanford (and any of the others out of town that we go to). My son loves the fish and crab projections that greet you when you walk in the door. Don't let what the others have to say about their experience, either good or bad, determind if you go or not... go try them out for yourself with an open mind! Food and service were great!!! I can never find clams, and their baby clams were awesome!! The butter garlic seasoning was amazing! The ONLY thing I didn't like about the restaurant was every time there was a birthday celebration, they played a VERY loud annoying song and had a crab and several employees go to their table. This restaurant was clean and spacious. The wait time was relatively short. The food was very good. Not your usual southern seafood house. Almost all sides were ala carte. The Cole slaw was not good though and the usual things like hush puppies were extra. Shrimp basket came with shrimp and fries. I didn't see baked potato as an option. The shrimp salad was very good. My complaint was with the server. We had to wait or ask for things that usually are already on the table when seated. Salt/pepper, eating utensils. We had to ask for cocktail sauce as well. So everything was brought to the table one at a time. She never came back until our meal was finished to check about drinks. Which we had run out of halfway through the meal. So the food was good, but the server was not efficient. She was friendly just not in top of things. I would definitely try this place again, the seafood is the best in town! read more
