I visited CB in Calhoun, Ga. yesterday and the shopping experience was amazing with the help of Callie and Jeffrey. This was my first visit there, but it want be my last. I was using my gift cards and spent over 500.00 and they were so helpful in wrapping and taking care of me and my purchase. Great merchandise and awesome customer service. An adequate representation of the franchise, with the wait staff being their strong suit. I arrived at 5:18PM on a Tuesday in late February and was cheered to see a blaze in the fireplace. Within 6 minutes a waitress arrived to take my drink order. They were out of lemonade so I had a Diet Coke with no ice and lemons and it was served within 2 minutes. I ordered the Tuesday special of pork chops, but had to substitute Bleu Cheese dressing because they were out of Ranch dressing! My salad came 6 minutes later was decent although the cherry tomatoes looked a bit under ripe. My entree arrived 12 minutes later, just as I finished my salad. The pork chops and onion petals were a bit greasy, but at least they were crispy. The comeback sauce container was less than half full (see my photo) and was mostly mustard. The gravy on the pork chops looked like it was made from a mix and not the quality I've come to expect from Cracker Barrel. My waitress was very attentive and proactively brought a refill including the lemons. She checked in to ensure I lacked for nothing and brought the bill without delay when I was finished. read more

Ordered to go online and it was very easy to place my order. They had it done before the estimated pick up time and everything was correct. Typical CB with the awesome store of random goodies as you enter. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Food was good as usual. They have the best grilled chicken, meal comes with 2-3 sides. The service at this location was great and all the employees were hard at work. However, the food at Cracker Barrel is spiraling downward. My chicken breasts had to have been cooked hours earlier. I get fresher chicken at KFC. The biscuits were nowhere to be found. They have been replaced with rolls disguised as biscuits. Come on Cracker Barrel do better! I just feel bad for the employees. Went to Cracker Barrel yesterday. Waited 45 minutes for cold food. Biscuits were hard as a rock. Nothing was cooked as requested. The butter would not melt on the cold food. The worst gravy I've ever tasted. Took it home and the dog wouldn't even eat it. Met the manager, Jennifer, as we were walking out and told her of our disappointing experience. She convinced us to come back today and give Cracker Barrel another chance. I'm very glad we did. Today the food was prepared perfectly. Hot chicken, French toast, eggs a perfect over- medium, and crisp bacon. Our waitress, Ray Lee, was attentive, competent, and friendly. So now we are once again Cracker Barrel fans. I came back in to update my review of this cracker barrel location. Walking in, we were greeted and immediately seated. Very busy place. Ordered the house salad and catfish dinner and the salad came out very quickly. Very fresh crunchy lettuce with cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. Catfish came out perfectly cooked, very attentive server. Vegetables were a perfect temperature. I'm so glad we came back in to update our review from six years ago. This is the second time my family and I came to have brunch, and it felt more of a reunion than anything. For a Saturday, the wait time for 13 people was about 45 minutes and honestly that's not terrible! There's rocking chairs and chess, and luckily the weather was bright and sunny!! There's a separate menu for breakfast, lunch & dinner so make sure you're looking or ask for the time you are going. They do have pancakes, but no waffles! Great service and good fun! read more

I went on a Sunday night, and it wasn't packed at all. It was super quick seating, and the hostess was super nice. We were sat down, and we got this amazing waitress Georgia. I cannot express to you how amazing she was! She was quick, super sweet, didn't get bothered at all when we asked her for things (and I definitely thought it was being accidentally annoying). She was one of the best waitresses I've had there. The food was delicious as well. I got the chicken n dumplings. The biscuits were great per usual. It was a terrible service got shown to the table and left didn't asked what we wanted to drink. We had to wait 20 minutes just to get a waiter then wait additional 10 minutes for our drinks. We waited almost an hour and half just for the food to be cold. The steak, shrimp, chicken, mashed potato, and more all the food was cold. We ordered corn, baked potato, and a hash brown casserole all things that we did not receive. Although we did receive the some chicken tender and one order of hash brown casserole which was pretty good. The food portion were very small on meal cost around $20 for 4 little pieces of chicken like chicken nuggets. I feel like very disrespected I had high hopes for this establishment but not no more I will no longer step foot in Cracker Barrel. read more

Ugh. We are learning the ropes here. Second time using the app to order and both times pretty much fail miserably. Today we ordered via app (around 2:40pm) and the earliest pickup time was 4:10pm. So that was fine... until we got there at 4:10 to get it and it was pre-made for a 3:10 pick up time according to the ticket. I guess it was a glitch with the time change or something. So our food was cold, again. Also had to ask for the drink (drink missing last time) and we were only missing the vegetable soup when we got home. If you order ahead, I suggest not using the app and just call. Check your bag before you leave. They use to check it for you but don't any longer. We will likely try again - but will be more cautious of course. read more

We sat for 15 minutes in a section that was labeled Tammy,( I'm a host in the restaurant business, so I pay attention to the systems they use), we never saw her. She proceeds to say "I SAW THAT" what you saw that ??? then why the H#$$ didnt you come to our table???? This place has gone downhill so fast and so badly!!!!! She says let me get you a table and we will take care of you, well if you had said that 30 minutes ago ok but an 1 later and after i ask to see you??? NO THANK YOU!!! First off, we waited 45 minutes for our food, thankfully our server was very helpful and understanding of our impatience. Secondly, when our food came out you can tell it was thrown together, poor quality. Lastly, we overheard the way management was speaking to their employee's, and we found it outright disgusting. Great country homestyle cooking restaurant. They cook your food just like mama cooks it. They even cook food just like your grandma too. I got the Sunrise Breakfast. This includes bacon, sausage, country ham, biscuit and gravy, hash browns and biscuit and gravy. For my drink I got a sprite. The location is kind of hard to get to if you ask me as you have to circle around and go around to the back to find a parking space. All my food was excellent and great customer service my our experienced waitress. The sunny side up eggs were delicious. read more

Well, y'all, it's Cracker Barrel, so you pretty much know the drill. When on a road trip, what's a better breakfast stop?? (Ok, I'll give you WaHo but it depends on if you want/have more grease or a little healthier fare!) We got coffee before leaving Atlanta and needed actual sustenance less than an hour out (he drives fast), hence our CB foray. Typical fare and nice people - Penny was pleasant and efficient) and I did note that now they have books-on-tape on DVD too! Cool. I went with a simple one egg (scrambled) and toast combo, with bacon (standard and tasty as expected) and he did some kind of combo with eggs, biscuits, ham, jam, etc. Full and ready to ride, and we were off! One note- this CB location is a little hard to notice (though the highway sign indicates it, it is a bit undistinguishable off-road because the porch is not on the street side). read more

I like Cracker Barrel. But I made the mistake of ordering a Grilled Chicken Salad. I have ordered salads before and I know that you have to cut up your own cucumbers and tomatoes. Usually it is served with grilled chicken tenderloins. Not today. A whole chicken breast served on top of the salad. It hadn't been cut up into anything. Just one big piece. I mean, come on. My husband and I visited our local Cracker Barrel (Calhoun, GA) which has been going downhill for the last year, each visit thinking it will be better. Tonight was the same disappointment. However, this is the one that pushed me to the point of my review. On Tuesday, 2/6 @6pm the dining room was quite empty with only 5 tables in our section. We were greeted promptly which was a positive start. We get our drinks and order food: pancake tacos and a meatloaf dinner with 3 vegetables. Then we wait. And wait. And wait. When we inquired about the wait time, we were told that my order was wrong, and they were redoing it. Okay...45 minutes later, our meal comes out, and it was still wrong! Since we waited so long, we decided to make the best of the situation until my husband pulled a long haired from INSIDE his meatloaf!! I live within a 30 minute drive to 3 other Cracker Barrels (Dalton, Ringgold, Adairsville), so I will take my business there. I WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THIS LOCATION! read more
