It's 2pm, and waitor Michael B! He quickly took our order and brought us FRESH biscuits and cornbread. He kindly greeted us and was very attentive. We pay $57.15 for three BIG meals which was a steal. We ordered chicken tenders. I had to send them back because they were cold. I received a fresh plate. My husband ordered strawberry pancakes and mowed those down quick after prayer. Mommie ate pecan pancakes, fried ham, and hash browns. She said they were heavenly devine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was noisy but not to bad.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Michael B took great care of us.

    Chocolate pancakes

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Was looking forward to coming to Cracker Barrel and enjoy a nice fresh meal but was met with a foul smell at my table and entrance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ended up waiting 45 minutes for my food to come out with no additional updates about how far my food is along. The service was lousy the employees are rude. My bacon was raw my eggs were watery. I ordered chocolate pancakes and all the chocolate was rudely stuffed in the middle. And on top of that she gave me the wrong drink.

Having to eat off napkins because their are no plates available smh

If I could give 0 stars I would crappy service we were literally brought our drinks 1 at a time due to no clean dishes in the back our waitress probly should lay off the coffee

No wonder Cracker Barrel customer service was below standard.

The service was horrible today, 8/21/25. We were in Corpus for an early meeting today and afterwards, we decided to go eat a Cracker Barrel. We arrived at 11:25 a.m. and were seated, placed our order and got our drinks a little after. It was 12:15 p.m. and our order was still not out. We let the server know and she said it would be coming out soon. She went to the back to get us what looked like dinner rolls. But not our food. We had a 3 hour drive home and decided to leave. My husband spoke to the manager and although he offered to box up our order, how are we going to eat in our vehicle? He seemed to care less when we told him that. In the end, we grabbed some chick fil a on our way out of corpus and will never go to another Cracker Barrel again. Much less now that you are "rebranding". Maybe "rebrand" your customer service and leave the wokeness out. One star cuz I have to leave one to post review.

    Waited 1:40 for this.

This was one of the worst dinning experience I've ever had. We waited an hour and forty min for our food. After an hour and twenty min I asked the waitress to bring our food out because it had been so long and she snaps back and says other people that have been their longer are still waiting also and she can't skip them. I told her everyone around us got there after us and are already eating. She then tells us she can cancel our order and we can leave if we want to. I spoke to the manager and he wasn't any better. I guess that's why their service is so poor. No leadership. Never eat there again. That waitress should have been fired on the spot.

    Hot cocoa,

I liked this place's hot cocoa. It was good for the weather. The beignets looked good and I am excited for the bacon mac and cheese.

About 12 min we got seated with a basket of warm crunchy hush puppies. That is the way to a woman's heart! I knew I wanted catfish for days I been craving fish and chips.. they have a PICK 2 - choices are catfish, frog legs, shrimp , chicken tenders.. plus fries, red beans and rice AND coleslaw. My son ordered the same but he also got a cup the jambalaya- came with bread and honestly we wish we had each ordered a bowl of that! It was so full of flavor and pieces of shrimp and fish almost beat my Aunt Jill's from Louisiana- ALMOST! When our plates came we could not believe the amount of food for the price. You get all the fixins! Butter, lemon, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. You don't have to ask for a thing! Our waitress was amazing!! All around the entire experience was 10/10!! Next time I'm trying to frog legs! Side note: Sunday is their busiest day from 11am-4pm (per the waitresses we asked) . They do have lunch specials Monday - Friday. Handicap ramp for wheelchair accessible. Bathrooms. Easy parking. If you're in Corpis - I recommend!

We ordered beef ribs and baby backs ribs. My beef rib had the best flavor I have ever had! It could have had some more meat on it but the owner and I talked and we both know the butchers these days are cutting them a little to close. Next time I want the brisket because if the rib tasted this good I can't wait for the brisket. Our pork ribs on the other had were extra meaty. Tender and juicy. The atmosphere is just what I like in a classic but comfortable BBQ restaurant. On a hot rainy day, AC is much appreciated... Until my next visit, we look forward to returning.

I…read morewant to support Small Businesses like this one but I have never experienced so many separate bad instances at a restaurant in less than an hour. We're from out of town and picked this place because of the 4.5 stars. The BBQ is tasty but this review is based on their service. We walked in at 2pm and this place closes at 3pm. The lady who took our order did not greet us & smile one time, and had attitude about our questions. I asked her twice if they had creamed corn and silence. It was hard to get an answer out of her. Ok, no big deal, we can get past that. We found a booth at the front, on the side, sat with our two kids- a toddler and a baby. Feed the baby while we waited for our food. Clearly we had our hands full and we were one of two tables there. They called my name, while my husband and I were trying to settle the kids. Three employees at the pick up area, and none brought our food. Could have been a small gesture that means a lot to parents. Ok, again, no big deal- that was just an observation. What really tipped us over was when one of the employees turned off the lights JUST on our side of the restaurant at 2:20pm when we had just started eating. It's already dark in this place with the lights on. She came by and said "you can leave everything there and we'll come get it when you're done" I asked her if the lights were going to stay off and she said "yeah that's what we do when start to close, but don't rush" No smile and said it as she walked away. Don't rush?! You just turned off the lights on our side of the room. You clearly want us out. I am not asking to roll out the red carpet but one smile and nice gesture would have turned things around. Would absolutely not recommend, the food is not worth the TERRIBLE service.

Butter Churn If…read moreyou're anywhere near Aransas Pass and you haven't eaten at Butter Churn, you're flat-out missing out. From the moment you walk in, you can feel it -- this isn't some corporate chain going through the motions. This place is dialed in. It is probably one of the most put-together restaurants I've ever had the privilege of visiting. Every detail feels intentional. Clean lines, modern touches, spotless floors, organized buffet, upbeat energy -- they hit every mark. The décor has personality without being overdone. It feels like a true family restaurant -- warm, authentic, and welcoming -- but with a level of polish most places never achieve. The service? Exceptional. Real smiles. Real hospitality. You're not just another table. You feel seen and taken care of. Now let's talk about the brisket. Unbelievable. I had to ask how they were doing it, and Mark was more than happy to walk me through his process. When brisket is smoked low and slow -- and they smoke theirs for 20 hours -- here's what happens: * The visible fat cap mostly renders down. * The intramuscular fat melts. * Collagen breaks down into gelatin. * The melted fat soaks deep into the meat fibers. So by the time it hits your plate? You don't see fat. You taste rendered fat and gelatin inside the meat. For $14 all-you-can-eat lunch, I kept waiting for the catch. There isn't one. I probably ate close to a pound and a half of brisket myself and still wanted more. Tender, perfectly seasoned, smoky without being overpowering -- the kind of brisket that makes you stop mid-bite and just nod your head because you know you found something special. You walk out wondering how they're not charging double. Everything about this place reflects pride -- pride in the food, pride in the service, pride in the entire experience. It's consistent. It's clean. It's efficient. And that kind of consistency is rare. This is only my second five-star rating ever. That's how serious I am about it. I apologize for not getting a picture of the brisket, I got too carried away with eating it. I live in Corpus Christi, and honestly, that's probably a good thing. If I lived any closer, I'd be there every single day. If you want authentic, high-quality food served by people who genuinely care about what they're doing -- Butter Churn is it. Five stars. No hesitation.

I stopped in for brunch on a Saturday morning and was really surprised by the crowds, and the atmosphere of the restaurant. It reminded a lot of B Matthew's in Savannah, which if you know, is a good thing! I initially went for the croissants based on the recommendation, but ordered the Biscuits with Gravy in addition to a loaf of sourdough, a croissant, and a few back to school theme cookies to bring onto the kids! The biscuits and gravy was phenomenal, and I really liked how they added scrambled eggs to top them. This is something I've never seen before and the result was great! As far as the bakery items (croissant, sourdough, and cookies) I feel like my review won't do them justice because they weren't eaten until I got home a few days later.
