Tried Cracker Barrel tonight for the first time. I had the roast beef, some sort of dry shredded potatoes and the Mac n chz. The Mac n chz was amazing but the rest was old dry and I couldn't eat it. The waitress asked if I was ok I said yes I am, but the food is old, dry and inedible. (Seriously there was no way my beef or potatoes had been cooked today.)She said she was sorry and I should have said something and not ate it. (I didn't eat it) moving on, we asked for the other food we ordered to go. She said no problem she hadn't forgot it and it would be right out. She then gave us a bill without the salad on it that we were waiting for. So all was temporarily forgiven. We get up to the register and the salad magically reappears on the bill. Whatever we paid the bill and left. But we will never ever go try a Cracker Barrel again. read more

I tried 4 times to pre order a pick up and kept getting hung up on. I went in person and ordered a salad after 45 mi of waiting where most of the people were not wearing mask I left with no dinner. Other than the announcement on how to stay safe during Covid I came to think if there is no care for health or the ability to take phone orders do they take care when preparing their food. read more

It's really good. Sometimes, there can be a long wait and have slow service, but the food is good, and service has improved tremendously over the years. Nice southern comfort food, great for people on road trips. The gift shop is quite nice, having little nicknacks and some old fashioned candy and soda that are very nostalgic and not very common anymore. Some stuff can be overpriced. We ordered two breakfast meals to go with a iced vanilla latte. When I got there They didn't even have my order. Amy first said it wasn't ready and then came back and said that the order wasn't received but they are preparing it. So I waited when I returned to my house in the bag They gave us 6 separate plate containers for two meals. The eggs in one meal had hair in it the other eggs were stone cold. Service was friendly and expedient. I have eaten here several times and if you order something not on the breakfast menu it will ultimately be under seasoned and slightly over cooked. I ordered the fried Sunday chicken dinner. Nice portions, but in the fryer 90 seconds too long. Then the taste, it's like they took no time to brine the poultry and marinate it in buttermilk. The breading had seasoning but why not put a little extra effort into it. My advice order breakfast or salad they can do that properly. read more

Always good home style food at very reasonable prices. I have been a fan for a long time. My favorites are the chicken n' dumplings and meatloaf. So simple but so tasty. I love the variety of sides. If you have a group to feed the family meals are great. They say it feeds 4-6 people and I think it's more like 6-7. Big portions, yummy food, for the whole family and it is ready fast. We just enjoyed a delicious lunch at Cracker Barrel (Crestview, Fl). We both had the grilled peppered trout. As sides, I had a side salad and fruit dish. Both were great. The fruit is fresh (blueberries, black berries and pineapples)...so delicious! My husband had french fries that were really good. Our waitress (Beth) was very friendly! Poor management. We went during the lunch hour and it was busy. We waited for 30 minutes for a table, this did not bother me because it was obviously busy, however, once we were seated we waited another 20 minutes without anyone coming to ask us for a drink order or anything. The table next to us was seated at the same time and got their drinks right away. We even asked the lady that seated us if we had a server and she didn't know. We ended up just leaving our table and going elsewhere to eat. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at a Crackerbarrel. I have eaten at Crackerbarrel all over the country. The food was subpar. Service ok. Bacon was greasy, did not have meatloaf. My wife and I were in the area about a month ago and we ate here for dinner the night we drove into town. We love Cracker Barrel to begin with, but there was something extra special about my wife's Ruben sandwich that night. She said it was the best Ruben she has ever had and hasn't had one near as good since. I had the chicken fried steak and it was very good! It's been a while since I've been to Cracker Barrel ever since they abandoned the 100% maple syrup several years ago but I gave them a try recently. Breakfast Food was pretty good and the service was average but I still feel that they still aren't what they used to be about 10 years ago. Just ate dinner here and I wasn't too pleased. There was a little wait which wasn't too bad even though there was like 5 empty tables in our section of the store. But the biggest problem was that there was a bug walking around inside my wife's BLT. They replaced the sandwich with another one, but she didn't even eat the lettuce because she said this time it wasn't washed and pretty hard. My food was fine but she wasn't to happy about the whole situation. And when we told them, none of the workers wanted to believe us saying that's the first time they ever heard that, even though you can see the squashed bug on the sandwich after she closed the bread together. I came here yesterday after picking my aunt and uncle up from the airport. My uncle and my orders had issues; his ham was a little too blackened and I ordered a medium sirloin and it was basically charcoal on the plate, way beyond even well done. They re-fired my uncles eggs and my steak. When the manager brought out my uncle's plate, he apologized for the issue. At that time my steak had not been brought out, so the manager told me he would take care of it. A couple minutes later, he brought out a new steak and he "Accidentally" grabbed a larger and more expensive ribeye steak. I was happy with him taking care of it and appreciated the upgrade on the meal for my troubles. (And the new steak was cooked perfectly). All in all, I was happy. Everyone makes mistakes; all I ask is that they fix it and they did. I did dock one star from the review because I feel like honestly that the first steak should have never left the kitchen the way it was cooked, as it was just utterly ruined and to me, that means that their quality control in the kitchen was lax that night. read more
