As far as Golden Corrals go, this location is the worst one I've been to in terms of selection of food. Very limited offerings. There's more dessert to choose from than main dishes. Only white fish fillet and deeply fried shrimp (for anyone looking for a protein alternative to meat). Very little meat options too. Food is brought out slowly. Not enough supply to match the demand. We were in town in Navarre and people that we were staying with wanted Golden Coral. And it wasn't too far from where we were staying. This GC is laid out differently to the ones I went to in GA. First thing I noticed was no party rooms. And also there was a fire place in the middle of the restaurant. We got here around 6:00pm and a lot of food that was out looked super old and not replenished which included the salad bar, hot bar, and taco bar. There was no fresh toppings at the taco bar. The chili actually was decent but when I actually went back to get seconds, there was no more. Steak was typical GC style. Pizza was okay. The ice cream machine was down and I was quite upset. This place is hit or miss honestly. The have an elderly gentleman who was cooking the steak and he did amazing! The waitress was honestly pathetic, we had to call for her just to get a refill. Jessie at the front was welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed before we went in. Also was so informative about where we could sit. The location is somewhat clean. It could honestly of been cleaner instead of food stuck to the tables and on the floor. However what can you expect with a buffet. The person at the dessert place really should not be working there. We came in around 1pm on a weekday. There was only 5 meat options old baked chicken , watery taco meat , friend chicken , red meatloaf and ham with no one around to cut it . I can here on a Wedneday night for dinner with my family. I was very impressed with the variety of options on the buffet. I enjoyed the catfish, fried okra, fried shrimp, and sweet potatoes. My kids enjoyed the different variety of food. My husband loved the fried chicken. It all tasted like like your mee-maw and paw-paw made it at home. I was very Impressed by this location! The customer service was amazing! They kept bringing plates and refilling drinks! The food was good-ish? Not amazing but not horrible they definitely made their quality better though. We went around 11:30 am and they had lunch and some breakfast left! They redid the place which I thought it looked beautiful. They put in a fake fire place and redid some walls! The bathroom was clean which I loved! Overall a great experience. We haven't been to the Golden Corral so long and against our judgement, we regret that we went there! The food quality was terrible the Steak was so tough and tasteless! There was not one manager walking the carpet greeting the customers! The only one bright spot was the servers and the crew members were working hard taking care of the customers! My family loves this place, especially my granddaughter! She beggsssss to go every week. Of course being a kid she loves the dessert bar the most. The last time we went the server wasn't that attentive with drink refills because since she had a big group in the separate room by the bathrooms. Disappointing. The outside of the restaurant looks neat and clean. It's the inside I question. It looks run down. The restrooms are clean. It's a mediocre salad bar. Most of you condiments will be found here. They also have taco shells and chips located here. The vegetables are all over cooked and heavily salted. Ok variety of vegetables. They do carry baked potatoes and sweet potatoes. The proteins were ok. Big variety of proteins from steak to Texas BarBQ to bourbon chicken to baked fish (no idea what type) to fried shrimp and popcorn shrimp. If you are on the keto diet this is the place. The dessert bar was mediocre. I don't recommend the cheese cake, it tasted like the jello brand. Blueberry pie and carrot cake did not impress me. The cobblers and banana pudding looked picked over. Visited this location on May 03, 2022, and the food was decent, as cheap buffet food goes. I wanted to take a moment however, and relate my experience with the staff and how completely asinine a few "team members" were. After eight hours on the road, I arrived just before 4pm and sat down. The waitress finally noticed me and said, "where's your ticket?" I told her I saw no reason to hold on to same and I threw it out when I used the restroom. She then approached the cashier, who I might add didn't remember me, and all of a sudden I was surrounded by two women and some little, tattoo-covered, ignorant Chinese fellow who basically accused me of not paying. He said, "if you cannot find your ticket, you'll have to leave!" Finally coming to her senses, the cashier eventually did remember me paying, and they all left me to my meal. And, I might add, for the rest of my meal, not once did my waitress- or anyone for that matter- stop by to ask if I needed anything. Finally, I just left. After being insulted with such an accusatory statement by the rude Chinese guy, I will never again patronize Golden Corral. Any Golden Corral. And by the way, such intimidating, accusatory statements by the employees are grounds for filing a lawsuit, and you can bet I will be discussing this with my attorney. I love Golden Corral and eat here all the time. The food is exactly what I expect when I eat here. Basic buffet food. I can make massive salads, although I wish they had large bowls for us salad loving types and then throw down some fried chicken. And they got soft serve ice cream with delicious, old school, real caramel!! Or you can throw a brownie under the ice cream and really get down with a sundae. The mediocre review is for the cleanliness of the place. The bathroom and anywhere near the bathroom always stinks like urine and shitty cleaning supplies. The place needs a deep cleaning. read more

Went here for dinner. We wanted Steak and usually have great food at other locations. First piece of steak was raw in the middle still cold told the guy at the grill he argued that it was medium well. Asked him for a well done piece it was still red in the middle. Asked for a manager he came out and said he would cook us another piece and it wasn't good at all it tasted old. The waitress was extremely nice but we will not be back to this location. Fantastic!!. This place has greatly improved since our last visit. Food was plentiful and quality first rate. Desserts was also top notch. Wife and I enjoyed our meal. Servers kept the plates coming and the tea flowing. I observed an individual named Kyle doing all types of work from running the registers, sweeping the floors to buttering rolls and placing out to eat. I haven't to Golden Corral (GC) in forever so I decided to make a visit today. I really did enjoyed some of the food served at this restaurant. Compared to other Golden Corral locations, this one seems a bit smaller and don't serve as much food. The dinner price was around $16-17, so it definitely is a bit pricey. If you haven't been to GC before, then you should know that you pay when you enter and not after you're done eating like most places. If you don't carry cash and want to tip the servers, you can ask the register person to exchange cash in place of your credit card. So I got up to get some dessert and by the time I got back to my seat, the waitress completely cleared my table and I wasn't even done. She finally saw this and apologized and asked me if I wanted another drink. All in all, I enjoyed this place and would definitely return. read more

The fact that there are people giving a Golden Corral five stars in a Yelp review blows my mind... Burger King and Taco Bell must follow close behind with a high four star rating. I'm never a pompous asshole when I write reviews... but... there's always a time for firsts. Wife and I came here ONLY because she thought it was hilarious that I had never been to a Golden Corral in my life.. my experience was a lot like what a strip club is in my mind; a lot of variety, but nothing I'd ever want to touch and absolutely nothing that's good for my body. Like I said, they have a large array of different food groups; meats, veggies, desserts, etc.. but everything that I put on my plate was either cold, old, or just flat out didn't taste good. The only saving grace was the ice cream and that's not even made in house! For some of the food options: We asked one of the cooks to cut us a piece of the garlic Parmesan sirloin and I kid you not, when he cut it and put it on my plate it wiggled like jello because it had not even been cooked... the inside was purple and red; and I loved a good medium rare steak.. this sirloin was still mooing and calling PETA at the same time. Every shrimp dish that was fried was cold or extremely over breaded, if that's even a word.. the shrimp on the grill was decent but very salty. The meat loaf looked like Jabba the hut, it couldn't even hold itself upright; I stuck my fork in it and the entire thing fell apart because of how soggy it was. I have to admit the "grilled to order" steak was pretty good, and the man cooking it was very nice/ helpful! The fried chicken was also good as well when it was brought out fresh. For the desserts: They have a large variety of desserts, ranging from cakes, to pies, to ice cream, or even a chocolate fondue fountain (which had clearly been running too long because the chocolate tasted very burnt). The ONLY of these options that was remotely good was the ice cream, and the carrot cake that looked like it had been through 3 rounds with Chuck Liddell. I don't know who had been through the lines before us but it genuinely looked like the aftermath of an aerial bombing; every cake was trashed, the pies were all destroyed.. people have no respect. The ice cream had about 6 different flavors to choose from and you can USUALLY never go wrong with mint chocolate chip or cookies and cream. Golden Corral; just fools gold. read more

This has to be, by far, the cleanest Golden Corral I have ever been in. Maybe because it was Tuesday, but the workers diligently wiped the counters, cleaned the glass, wiped the tables, and swept the floor. The food was proudly displayed and all the utensils were in the right places. There was a steady crowd with a mixture of big and small parties. The food was fresh and steaming out of the oven. The cooks really took pride today in their craft and presentation. The dessert bar was fully stocked and very clean. This is the station that's usually the messiest and with the least up keep. I havent been to a golden corral in about 7 years just because my first 2 experiences very very bad. Meat was always under cooked even when asking for well done. Thought id this differnt location another shot and was very pleased. Paid $16 for dinner ($13.99 + $1.99 beverage), would say price matches quality of food. The service was great, and staff were very friendly. I asked for some well done steak, was was good, and some well done brisket was was a bit dry but the steak made up for it anyways. Best part was the chocolate fountain,they had marshmellows, rice crispy treats, strawberrys, and coconut macoroons to dip in. Wow. Manager called about service received and we discussed at length. He stated that what I experienced was not his expectations and that he was speaking to folks on duty that day. He apologized and defined his view of what the service should be. It was a good conversation and I was pleased that we had opportunity to discuss it. It is not often that someone shows care and understanding of how customers feel and how they are concerned. We have been invited back with a chance to meet the management. I most certainly will do so. A business that cares and responds is one that I feel Is a positive for both myself and community. My husband and I had a great experience at this location. Our waitress Ms. Debbie was very kind and cheerful. She kept our table clean and drinks filled up. A lot better than most buffet restaurants that I have been to. Not to mention, she helped me find my invisilign trays that I left behind in a napkin-- they got thrown away but her and Ms. Nancy (whom I think is a manager) were more than willing to dig through trash bins to help me find these trays.
