Terrible service at this location. My family was passing though IN and always had good experiences at Cracker Barrel locations and like the food so we decide to make a quick stop for curbside pickup. The online ordering site did not have the menu item (pan seared cod) available and the available Friday fish fry gave us an error message so I decided to call. 3 tries and no answer. Still decided to stop. There was 4 employees and only one other customer in the store, yet none of the girls were able to take my to go order. Lady came in from the kitchen area to take my order but was completely unfamiliar with the menu and side items. She gave me 15-20 min wait time. It took 60 minutes for me to get my order. Mind you, I am not local so this wait put my family behind by an hour and added extra hour of night/dark drive to our evening. Also instead of pan fried cod, we received the cod battered and deep fried and instead of corn muffins I received bread with the meal. My husband went in to tell the manager about our experience who ended up begrudgingly giving us a voucher for one meal but we have no Cracker Barrel's in our state. Beware when visiting this location and be prepared to spend some extra time. read more

Went in this afternoon around 1:00pm and the wait to be seated was 40 minutes. We waited because we had such a good experience on our previous visit. After 40 minutes we were seated. The place had thinned out so we believed it would be a relatively short wait to be served. Drink orders and lunch orders were given at the same time. Our drinks came immediately. I again ordered the Sunrise Sampler and my wife ordered the veggie plate. 35 minutes later no food had arrived. The wait staff could not tell us when it would be coming. (I suspect the waitress did not submit the order.) We expressed our displeasure with the lengthy wait and let them know we would be leaving immediately. No one seemed to care and not even an apology about the wait. Sorry Cracker Barrel we won''t be coming back any time soon after that example of very poor service. read more

It's Cracker Barrel. There all the same. Same menu seems like the same staff. Junk you do not need for sale. Although you get a good meal for a good price. I love breakfast. There aren't a lot of places we like to eat around the mall here and after a day of shopping we're always hungry and needing dinner. This is where we always end up and I'm never disappointed. This weekend, we spent a hot and rainy day going from store to store with a cranky 8 year old. Going into the restaurant we were "those people" with "that kid". He was bored, hungry, and cranky. Our waitress was aaaaaamazing. She was so patient and kind to us and our kind and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and less embarrassed by his behavior. He calmed down once he got some food in his stomach thank goodness and I was able to be a parent (unfortunately a very strict one in a very public place) without feeling like a Brad person. Pretty good food for an area where there's not a whole lot of choices. I love their breakfast options and the fact that you can get healthy options. One of my fave guilty pleasure is their chocolate cake made with coke cola or something. It's so moist and soft. Specially with a side of vanilla ice cream - uber delish! read more

Good folks and good food. I have to say that the Manager of this place (named Christian I believe) was awesome to my wife this night. She was looking for something they served before and they no longer had it. We have a new waitress (did great) but she did not know about the item. He explained that was a promotional item then had before, but if he had the stuff to make then she would have one. Ten minutes late, here he came with fresh fruit cut up and ready to go. The last two times I have come specifically for the southern fried chicken and they were out. This time I placed my order and after about 15-20 min the waitress came out and said they were out. About the time I am expecting the food to come out, they are telling me they don't have any. By the way, when the food finally came out it was cold. read more

I will never ever eat at another crackle barrel. After a nice day at the mall, adventure for something new hit me and i had never been to the barrel. Enticement turned confusion at the mini retro candy store at the "front" entry. Ok..kinda cool i guess. The decor was warm and homie, like grandparents house. Scene: less then half filled on Saturday at 8:30 with a Party of two and a half.(downhill from here) Were seated 2 waters and a coke(we waited 15 minutes) Miss ordered a salad early (waited 30 minutes) No service...drinks gone....waiting And more waiting... Different people takes order and leaves no refills?? Another damn 45 minutes later we finally get the food!!! I ordered the handlock with ocra... People, not only was it Lukewarm but also more bland then a unsalted cracker and the ocra (saggy,wet mess) I didnt finsh and the FAT ASS MANAGER noticed and Proclaim that the food wasn't that bad and that this is what it's supposed to be like and if anything the cooks might be having a bad night. Excellent service from Paige this morning - she was a 2 star girl that should definitely be a 4 star! My husband got the double meat breakfast and I wasn't all that hungry so I got the small plate of sausage patties and hash brown casserole - everything was excellent! To me, Cracker Barrel's are pretty much all the same, food is consistent and it's usually quick to come to the table. That is why we all like them! Occasionally there's just bumps along the way, timing may be off but it just happens in the food/restaurant industry. Unless something is flat out not right, I see no need to bash a place. Usually if you bring it to your server's or a manager's attention, they are likely to do what they can to make it right. read more

On the road to Florida and I can count on The Barrel to deliver goodness! Seems like no matter where you are in any state of the country while at a Cracker Barrel location, close your eyes and you can't tell where you are. Only one thing can come to mind. If you eat at one location your are eating at all locations. This is how Cracker Barrel is so successful due to keeping everything the same at every location. That is hard to do and requires 100% from a dedicated staff of employees that seem to genuinely be happy at what they do. read more

The food prices are reasonable, but this place is very noisy. At this particular store, the flirty banter between staff in the prep area significantly added to the noise and IMHO, was very unprofessional, but seemed to be condoned by the staff in ties who appeared to be some sort of managers that also played around in the high school flirty banter in the prep area. I was disappointed in the syrup that came with my pancakes. IMHO, it was deliberately deceptive advertising. They advertise the syrup as being natural, and at ordering I asked if that meant maple, and the waitress said yes. What came was a small bottle that was 55% maple and 45% cane syrup. Well cane syrup is pretty highly processed on its trip from cane to bottle...I have never seen syrup naturally coming from sugar cane whereas I have seen Maple dripping from a tree. Cane syrup is no more natural than beet syrup...both require considerqble processing to get them into the syrup form. So shame on Crackle Barrel for this deceptive use of the term Natural. Sure, it might be legal use of the term, but deceptive to the customer. I would have gone 3 stars but the deliberate deception on use of the term Natural cost this place a star. read more

Please monitor your hostess station more carefully. It is confusing who is in line waiting on a table and who is in line to put their name in for a table. Could your entryways be anymore crowded with merchandise?? Maybe this would be deemed a fire hazard for escape in the event a full dining room needed evacuating. Something to consider. read more

On October sixth we stopped by your restaurant and had a really good meal on our way to Louisville Kentucky, unfortunately when we came out of the restaurant someone had smashed in our window and stolen our luggage. the staff went way out of their way to not only help us, but also the police in reviewing the tapes to try and catch the person who did it. my wife is blind and has a guide dog and the staff did a great job of comforting and helping all of us through this. they even took up a collection to help us buy the things we needed to repair the window to finish our trip. the outpouring of love and support was outstanding and we will not ever forget your restaurant. thank you very much for all of your extra attention sincerely Jeff and Jeannie and Linus the guide dog read more

I like Cracker Barrel. Like, not love. This one in particular is overall kind of, well, lame. I don't eat here often but, yesterday that's what we were feeling so we went. The hostess was pleasant, the rest of my party had already been seated so she told me to go on in, that's was fine. I found my table and sat down, within a couple of minutes the waitress took my drink order, also fine. We had to wait a while for our final friend to show up but once she did we ordered drinks and food. It was about 7:00pm so my mom ordered the dinner special which they were out of, sad but okay, it's later in the day whatever. She ordered something else and then we waited. We waited 35+ minutes. No food. We asked the waitress what was happening and she said the kitchen was having "a tragedy" but she'd get the food out as soon as possible. We asked for some biscuits to hold us over which she brought. Can't be mad at the server, but the kitchen needed to get it together! When our food finally came we were starving so I think it was good...? It did the job and we left. Overall not HORRIBLE but definitely an unfortunate experience. I'll probably be back eventually, let's be honest, but I'll probably quickly remember why I don't go often. read more

The food is usually good, lots of starchy dishes with meat as the main dish and lots of carb-y sides. Typical "down home food". There breakfast menu is very good, though. If you're looking for variety, something fancy, or lighter fare, I would recommend dining somewhere else. The staff often seems a bit overworked, but they look like they are working their hardest to serve all their tables to their best ability. The restaurant is usually always full and it's not uncommon to wait up to 45 minutes to be seated on the weekends. Waiting for food times usually aren't too long, and the environment is nice and cozy. Towards the colder months and holidays they keep the fireplace and sometimes the charming oil lamps as well. Definitely has the cozy and chasing factor, though there good is a bit of a one trick pony when it comes to variety. read more

Horrible experience here. We put our name in to be seated. We were told it would be five minutes. Fifteen minutes later we checked with the lady and they had forgotten to seat us. Actually they thought we were already seated. We were then taken to be seated. We were taken to a dirty four top table by Mary. We stood as they cleared the table. We told Mary we could not sit here since it only seated four people at best crammed together and we have five. Mary was angry and had an attitude and yelled "fine" at us and threw the chair into the wall. We then waited for a bigger table. Mary sat us once again and was very angry throwing the silverware and almost hit my mother. This was on her birthday. We complained to management however they actedlike they could care less. I've eaten here many times and have always been pleased with the friendly service and rapid delivery of my food. Lunch is my favorite time although I've also enjoyed their breakfast. Food is always burn-your-mouth hot and the prices are reasonable. My favorite meal is the country fried steak with vegetables. The biscuits are always perfect and the standard serving of two can be increased to 3-4 at no extra charge. The gift shop is loaded with tempting items and my only complaint there is the dunder-headed corporate buyer(s) in their limited selection of stone-ware. one word: excellent. i had a party of a 3, and we were seated right away. our server was arryn. seems she may have had some back issues and/or leg issues as she was having a very difficult time walking around. but that did not once stop her from providing us with excellent service, countless refills, and a spectacular breakfast. may not have been as friendly as servers i've had in the past, which is the reason i'm giving it 4 stars. no other critiques here. i will be back. read more
