Good food and service but hate the new look. I liked the older, rustic feel. Still has the country store which is a plus.

Our server never appeared, so the shift leader had to take our orders. As she was doing so the server lurked behind her just staring. Little weird. Food was delicious; no complaint. Get the breakfast burger if you can. It's amazing. My mom choked on her food. Like literally choking and turning blue unable to breathe kind of choking. I had to vault the table to give her the Heimlich maneuver. It took WAY TOO LONG for ANYONE ELSE to help. Nobody did anything except ask if she was okay and that was after she'd been choking, after I'd had to save her life. What if I hadn't been there? She then proceeded to very delicately leave the check on the table. Seriously? The staff needs more training. read more

I love to eat a Cracker Barrel. Been to many locations over the years. In many Southern States. Food is consistently good! I always look for them when I Travel. I love the old decorations and ambiance. But be warned, I don't approve of that WOKE Bullcrap agenda your new Woman Manager is taking the business. I already have seen the ambiance changes taking place. And as sure as God made green grass , I WILL NEVER EVER eat at any store who changes the old style Cracker Barrel signage up front....and replace it with that New Woke Sign ....you know the one without the Barrel. My family and I had an excellent dining experience at this Cracker Barrel! First off, this place is BUSY (especially on a Sunday at 11am). I highly suggest downloading the app and getting on their waitlist before leaving the house. Once you arrive, you can check in through the app & they'll text you when your table is ready. Easy peasy! To save time, we browsed through the menu while we waited in the car, that way, our party of 5 was ready to order once we were seated. We didn't have to wait long before our food was brought out. Everything was just right just your typical Cracker Barrel. Service was good and breakfast was good would definitely stop in here again.

We wanted to have breakfast on Saturday morning and decided to go to Cracker Barrel since we haven't been in a long while. We walked in with the smell of fall candles burning, Christmas songs playing with their beautiful decorations, and smiling faces. We walked in and were seated immediately, even with the large amount of customers they had. Our server, Ms. Beatrice, came over and took our drink order with such a beautiful smile and great personality. We ordered our food and within just a few minutes, we were eating. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. She was very attentive to our needs and fulfilled our expectations. Thank you Ms. Beatrice we enjoyed your time and service. I visited this location today for lunch. I ordered curbside, but when I got there I had no idea where to park PLUS I couldn't find the I've Arrived button. I went into the store and had what I THOUGHT was a great exchange with the cashier. I explained the situation and where I was parked, he told me where curbside was. I smiled told him I'd move my care there and thanked him. I walked away to get candy and came back to the register only to hear him belittle me. I canceled the order. The parking lot is dark, and the lights are not set for the right time. Unfortunately I have found that Cracker Barrel is no longer for eating. I'm here for the gift shop. I will start by saying the love was there, but the execution was way off. Biscuits were sopping in butter, cornbread was dry. Husband had the Hashbrown Casserole Shepherds Pie: the rast and vegetables were all under cooked and served luke warm. I had Chicken and French Toast: chicken was great, but they never cook the French toast enough, it was soggy. Our sever was so sweet and took great care of us. That was a WIN! read more

The table was dirty and the knife was sticky and not in a cool dive restaurant sort of way. These people should know better. Two liquid glass rings stayed on the table the whole meal, not noticed and offered to be wiped off by the waitress at any point during the order placing, order being brought out or eating parts of my time there but let's not talk about her. She was the only saving grace of the meal. I felt sorry for her. She was pleasant, friendly, all time perfect as waitresses go. I felt sorry for her because she knew she was being me out *ish*, she had to. The gravy on the country fried steak and mashed potatoes had congealed by the time it had been brought out to the table which wasn't that long so it couldn't have been sitting out there. It was seriously firm. Firmer than jelly but I can't think of anything else to compare it too... maybe a gummy worm or the thick white icing you find on some fancy wedding cakes except it was the color of a matte beige, absorbing all light and relenting none. Same for the mashed potatoes except brown. Did I mention they were luke warm? It was like this meal had been plated and sent back by another customer then placed on counter somewhere waiting for someone else to order the same combination. The chicken fried steak, more like chicken fried shoe. Rubbery was it gets and the meat I'm not sure safe for human consumption. That may be harsh but that's how I felt with my stomach already being turned by the dirty table, sticky knife (which I did send back), cold mashed potatoes and congealed gravy topping everything. My mother used to love this place. That was around 20 years ago. I remember going with her and having pleasant experiences. It was a place she want to stop in every time we went to Tanger Mall. She's not around anymore to see it but I do feel sorry for all those old people going there because of the memories and being fed what I got served today. They should be ashamed of themselves. I could tell you that the broccoli was good, it was. Great A waitress also. I made sure to leave her a good tip and hand it to her personally. Our waitress today was Suzanne. She was friendly, very personable and listened carefully as we placed our order. I typically like toast over biscuits so I asked for toast with my meal. Ate here for breakfast before shopping at the outlet mall. Our server was great and the gift shop had some decent discounts. That's where it ends, we couldn't get the complimentary biscuits because we both didn't order a full meal, I ordered a side. And my husband's meal was mediocre. We arrived at about 6:00 p.m. We'd checked in for the waiting list online because we know most Cracker Barrel's are really busy, especially at dinner time. It said the wait time was 0 when we signed in 5 minutes before. We arrived and there was a couple arriving just before us. They were seated immediately ahead of us even though they didn't check in online. When we told them we were on the list, she said there weren't any tables, so we'd have to wait a few. While we were waiting there, another couple came in and were seated ahead of us. :-/ It was a little irritating. Once we were seated, it took our waitress about 10 minutes to acknowledge us. We never got our rolls or cornbread. We both ordered chicken fried steak. My husband ordered okra with his, and asked for ketchup. He was nearly done with his dinner before she finally brought it. The food was good home cooking type food as always. Done well, no complaints on the food at all. Service was mediocre at best. Not what I'm used to at Cracker Barrel, hence the 3 stars. Usually, it will get 5 stars because you can depend on a good experience and good food. On the way out, I used the restrooms. I could smell urine from the entryway outside the bathrooms. I have a very bad sense of smell, so for it to be that strong for me, it has to be awful for others. Someone needs to do something about that. It was nasty. I used to love Cracker Barrel growing up. It was one of the highlights of any trip that took us in the direction of one. Now I have little to nothing good to say about this obviously overgrown chain. The service is mediocre at best and the food has really gone downhill. in the last few times I've been my order has been either wrong or cold every time. The people working there don't have the same charm and respect as they always did, especially the younger ones. To set the record straight, I downloaded this app specifically to rate this Cracker Barrel. 0/10 would not recommend. Me and my bf waited 15ish mins before we asked the manager for a waitress to come by just to get drinks. That took another 5ish mins for the waitress to come see us. Then once we ordered, we waited another 10ish minutes before someone, other than our server, brought us our drinks... they gave us a straw that literally looked like it had been chewed up so we didn't drink out of them of course. I've written a number of reviews on the CB brand restaurants, today's visit seemed to start out about the same as most I've visited over the years. I'm not a big fan of the country store I'm forced to walk through to grab a bite to eat but nothing's going to change that, so speaking of this in more detail is a moot point? The restaurant was clean and fully staffed with no waiting to get a table. Our server was friendly enough she provided good service so it seemed everything was working as designed. The issue today seemed to generate from the kitchen after waiting longer than normal to get two simple breakfast plates our server informed us that our order had been ready for sometime but there were no biscuits and she want to know if we would like our food now or wait 7- 10 more minutes for the biscuits to finish cooking, although one of the orders required a biscuit. We decided to have the food brought out sooner that the biscuits once we completed our meals the biscuits arrived with the check as you can imagine this made no sense. The three star rating isn't related to the fact that they ran out of biscuits its the waste I see at all their restaurants, they provide everyone with so much food a lot of the food goes uneaten and is wasted. While exiting the dining area I noticed more than a dozen uneaten biscuits sitting on tables waiting to be bused along with a lot of items that were barely touched. I think the menu should offered more options with less items it just seems that most breakfast selections come with 4 or 5 courses. read more

I've been to a few CB locations and this was one of the eh locations I've been to. It was pretty busy hence it was lunch time. Waited in line not too long before we were seated. Our table was sticky and dirty where I had to wipe it myself with wet ones. The server was fine but the food was pretty disappointing. My food was warm to cold when it hit the table. It was like they left my food sitting out before the server can get to it or he must've forgot about it. The country fried steak was not fresh and tasted rubbery. I was trying to cut into it but it didn't cut because at that point it was already looking soggy&flat and the gravy wasn't even on it. Very much disappointing because it's one of their popular dish. The only thing I touched was my hash brown because there was nothing else to eat and enjoy. Food is prob suppose to be under the heat lamp anyways but they need to do better at getting the food out to customers the sooner the better. There was no ketchup on the table so we asked for some. Our server came by with an empty bottle and said that's all they had and handed us a few to go packs of ketchup. I gave this restaurant 3 out of 5 stars for two main reasons. First, they are not enforcing mask and social distance guidelines! Second, the wait to get to go food was RIDICULOUS! The visit was not all bad so let me start with what worked. Cracker Barrel has a very home style feel to it's decor and menu and if you're craving the kind of breakfast your grandma probably made without having to cook it yourself, this is a great place to try! The food was prepared exactly as I ordered it and it was very tasty! The price point also was very good! At approximately $12 a plate, my whole family was well fed for a decent price! Side note, I adore the tiny bottles of syrup they give you with your pancakes!! Now onto the other stuff, I placed my to-go order online before I left my house (I live a good 29 minutes away). I was given a time to show up and I was even a bit late getting there! When I arrived, I called the phone number on the sign and got no answer so I called the phone number on my confirmation email and was told they were a little backed up and my food should be ready soon. I confirmed that they would bring it out to me and I was told someone should be out with it in about 10 minutes. Well 10 minutes came and went... after 20 minutes I decided to go in and see how much longer it would be. When I entered the country store, there was absolutely no social distancing being enforced!!!! People were EVERYWHERE and I and the staff were the only ones wearing a mask!!! I knew something was up when I saw ppl waiting outside with no masks but I had hoped that maybe the restaurant believed (incorrectly) that being outside mitigates the spread. Entering the store confirmed that they simply were not complying with the CDC recommendations. I was told my food would be out soon, again. I then went back to wait in my car further. About 7 minutes later, it was brought out to me. Bottom line is, the food was good and the staff friendly but the curbside was not efficient and it shouldn't have been an hour long ordeal to get my breakfast to go. Additionally, this virus is real and really killing people and we all have to do our part and Cracker Barrel should feel obligated to enforce these small inconveniences to save lives! Best breakfast!!! I can only review on breakfast menu and service but it's always a win in my book! Plus the store is on of my favorite parts! This location is clearly popular. Always await but never an issue for us. I browse the store or enjoy a rocking chair outside while waiting. My food is always served hot and always delicious! Sooooo we came New Year's Day for black eyed peas and cabbage. It's traditional. The line was long the store crowded and a lot of folks waiting outside. Once we got seated service was good, they had black eyed peas, but no rice. Julie was incredulous, who ever has heard of such a thing! She had a ham steak and peas and cabbage. Cracker Barrel is super consistent, decently priced, and tasty. The layout is the same as any other Cracker Barrel: you enter to a store full of candy, snacks, jewelry, household items, toys, etc. with a bathroom (this one was clean but with a slightly sticky floor). I've recently switched my usual order of fried catfish to the grilled rainbow trout - both delicious. Can't go wrong with an iced sweet tea. Our waitress here was very sweet and attentive. My friends and I were shopping at the Tanger Outlet Mall in Gonzales, LA. We were all getting a little hungry and since this was my first visit to Louisiana, I wanted to make sure I could dine somewhere that was NOT in California. Right inside their parking lot was a Cracker Barrel restaurant. That sounded southern and hick enough for me to eat at! =D Once you enter, you go through their convenient store. Most restaurant aren't like this, but this was within an Outlet Mall. The retail store carries mainly nostalgic merchandise, collectibles, old time toys, classic candies, scented candles, and items used in making Cracker Barrel entrees. As for the restaurant, the interior design reminded me of a Denny's, but with an old Southern cabin feel. Even our server was a young waiter with a heavy southern accent, allowing me to feel that I wasn't in CA. anymore. The walls of the dining area are decorated with antiques such as photographs, advertisements, and household items. The food selection was similar to a Denny's with a few unique southern dishes. Even though it was sometime around the late afternoon; I was in the mood for some breakfast food, which is served all day! After we ordered, there were some table games that are located next to the condiments. I didn't know how to play these games, but my Baton Rouge friends showed me how. It was just another way to keep you entertained while you wait for your food or if you didn't want to engage in a conversation with your peers. As for the quality of the food, the South sure knows how to make a flavorful breakfast meal! As for my local Louisiana friends; they went with a lunch meal, which they all seem to enjoy. I love Cracker Barrel, and it will never get old to me. Seriously. If you want mild home cooking that will put you in a food coma, come here. There is plenty of parking. Lined up in front of the restaurant are the usual rocking chairs, the same as every other location. For clean restrooms, you will always want to stop at a Cracker Barrel when in the south. Seriously! My most recent visit, I ordered the double meat breakfast. It comes with bacon, sausage, eggs, grits, biscuits. None of the meals I have had at this location have been bad. Chicken and dumplings, roast beef, corn bread muffins. All hot and delicious. The store is tightly packed with all sorts of clothes, snacks, beverages. Very tightly packed. I am not sure you would want to wander around with someone in a wheel chair, as I would be afraid of knocking something over. I would also be afraid that if I had a small child with me, something would get broken because they would be curious. Located in the Outlet mall area, this is a stand alone restaurant.
