Always delicious food and great service and today did not disappoint. High of 1° and we needed comfort food. Delicious pot roast, country fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits. It's Sunday and the place was packed. We waited 5 minutes or so. Our server was very nice and attentive. No room for dessert but took away leftovers as the portions were substantial. Can't wait for my next visit

The wait to be seated wasn't too bad for a Sunday afternoon. The wait for the food was ridiculous--almost and hour and The food was cold. The server was rude and annoyed by our request. After speaking with the manager, I decided to cancel the order. Almost two hours and I walked away hungrier than when I arrived. I usually don't eat here and this will definitely be the last time. Such a shame.

It has been a long time since I've eaten at a Cracker Barrel, but I still appreciate the "Old Country Store" vibes, and I absolutely love that they now offer Impossible Sausage. We stopped in for breakfast around Christmastime because I'd been seeing their billboards for the Stuffed Cheesecake Pancakes, and I finally made a point to go try them! This location is right next to the Indiana Welcome Center, so this was an excellent reminder that I still needed to stop by the Christmas Story exhibit, which we did after breakfast. My breakfast was tasty, and my husband enjoyed his order of French Toast. I was also pleased to see that they have lattes on their menu - perhaps not Starbucks quality, but a nice option to have. We browsed the Country Store before leaving, and I found a nice Purdue hoodie on sale to pick up as a Christmas gift.

    Skimpy portions

Not certain what's going on food and ser vice use to be amazing now it's not worth the drive , wait times are forever to get cold food and skimpy portions , I sent my food back the other day only for it to return worse I just said never mind and returned entire meal waste of time and effort

I tried to order the chicken dinner and was told they do not cook it on Sundays. Only wings on Sunday? WHAT? Isn't Sundays when people come for a family dinner? The service level was nice at the table, so I had no problem with the mandatory 18% added to the bill. She was polite and nice and earned her tip. I actually gave her additional money. The ambiance is noisey. Be prepared to talk little louder than normal. The activity level makes it noisey. I've tried this place twice, I think that's a wrap. No more.

We ordered the Black Bullet party pack which comes with two pounds of brisket and two large sides. We went with fries and beans, and also added ribs, mac and cheese, and buns to the order. The brisket is still the star of the show. The spice rub on it is perfect, and it's so tender that it's unreal. The fries are exactly the kind of battered fries I like which was a pleasant surprise because I feel like not many places do them that way. The beans were okay... a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but they had huge chunks of pork in them that I definitely appreciated. We also added two slabs of ribs, and they fell right off the bone. I'm usually not a huge ribs person, but these were well cooked and flavorful. Mom loved them, and that's what really matters. We did have a few small issues with the order. We realized that our mac and cheese was unfortunately missing when we got home. They also ran out of pretzel buns midway through packing things up, so we ended up with a mix of pretzel and brioche buns instead. Honestly, we didn't mind that one too much because it gave us a chance to try both (I'd pick pretzel if I were you). When we picked up the order the place was absolutely packed, so it was hard to be upset over an honest mistake. They were clearly incredibly busy. I still don't really care for the sweeter sauce that tastes heavily like peppers to me, but their vinegar-based sauce (which I think is their original?) was much better than I remember. I'm glad to see this place is still around and still holds up after all this time. More importantly, the brisket is every bit as good as I remembered.

My niece and I couldn't believe this was our first visit, especially after hearing so many great things. This place is incredibly popular, so I definitely recommend making reservations. After checking in, we waited less than five minutes and struck up a fun conversation with two lovely ladies who were also first-timers. It was the perfect start to the evening. The atmosphere is warm, lively, and inviting, with Mardi Gras beads and colorful carnival masks throughout the restaurant that give it so much character. Our server was fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he was friendly, attentive, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations made choosing from so many tempting options much easier. Now let's talk about the food... EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious! To kick things off, I ordered the Creole Voodoo Zombie, and my niece had the Hurricane. Both cocktails were fantastic and set the tone for an amazing meal. My niece is an excellent cook herself and has dietary restrictions, so dining out can often be disappointing. That's what made this experience even more special--she genuinely loved every bite. We started with the crab cake appetizer and the BBQ shrimp appetizer, and both were packed with incredible flavor. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened ribeye, swapping the broccolini for the collard greens (worth the $3 upcharge!). The steak was perfectly cooked, and those collard greens were phenomenal. My niece chose the blackened red snapper étouffée, and she couldn't stop raving about it. Even though we were completely full, we couldn't leave without dessert. We shared the Mississippi Mud Turtle Brownie topped with marshmallow fluff and the strawberry shortcake. Our server suggested pairing the brownie with a butterscotch liqueur, and I'm so glad I took his recommendation--it was the perfect finishing touch and complemented the dessert beautifully. We've been talking about this meal ever since we left...and that's probably the biggest compliment I can give. In fact, we were so impressed that we made reservations for next weekend before we even left--and we're bringing two friends with us! Perfect for: Date nights, celebrations, or anytime you want a memorable meal that's worth planning ahead for. Maple Tree Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. 10/10--highly recommend!

My go-to plates were the fried catfish and the jerk chicken, both packed with flavor and cooked to perfection every time. After a few visits, they started calling me "New York," and from that point on, it felt like family every time I walked in. The owners are incredibly welcoming and genuinely appreciate their customers. One of my favorite moments was being introduced to their strawberry banana pudding. I'll be honest--I was hesitant at first because I'm not big on banana flavor, especially when it tastes artificial. But this? Completely different. It made me a believer. So much so that now I even make my own from scratch at home. That's how good it was. It's a small, no-frills spot with just a couple of stools at a bar-style table--no real seating--but honestly, that doesn't matter. When the food is this good and the people are this real, you don't need anything fancy. Whether you're grabbing food on the go or standing there enjoying every bite, it's an experience. Everything was about $22 and the portion for the price was pretty good. The rib tips were decent - nice flavor, soft but could have been more "falling off the bone" status lol. The sides were also pretty good. Decent food, nice portion, good price. The restaurant is small. Hubby was the one that placed the to go order while I stayed in the car. He said not really a place to dine but more of a carry out spot instead. Our order came out pretty fast - about 10 minutes.

We were eventually seated in another section, where the waitress immediately took our order. The food came out about 20 minutes later. The food was good, but my husband's gravy wasn't ready, so he finished his entire breakfast and part of my chicken before it finally arrived. No one refilled our drinks until we asked. I would've blamed the service on being short-staffed, but that wasn't the case. There were plenty of servers, and our original section had three. It honestly just felt like no one cared. The restaurant was also full of dirty tables and people waiting forever just to place drink orders. **It was a complete mess.** I felt like I was in an episode of the Twilight Zone. Sadly, we won't be returning to this location.
