    Breakfast Quesadilla
    Sofia L.

I seriously still cannot believe how much food my bf and I got at ~$15 each before tax/tip. We were absolutely stuffed and had enough leftovers for the following day. I can't remember the name of the omelette I got, but it was filled with cheese, ham, bell peppers, and onions, which is quite possibly the best combo for an omelette. the melted cheese tasted so good, but would recommend for them to spread the cheese throughout the omelette, as there were some part of it that didn't have any cheese. the potatoes were so incredibly crispy, and the pancakes were nothing special, but tasted great with their very hot syrup. my bf's quesadilla was humongous, but he did mention that the beans weren't the best. restaurant was super spacious, yet cozy at the same time, in a good way. workers were extremely kind, and our server always made an effort to check on us.

Pleasant neighborhood breakfast joint. Skip parking in the tiny lot and go into the overflow lot (the little lot is like 6 spaces and elderly folks trying to swing into those spaces). The owner is very hands on and visible, at times it can make you feel bad for the staff when he is yelling about every little thing. That being said, while I wouldn't want to work there, the food is very tasty. Staff are very friendly and try to be attentive when not being pulled in a different direction by the owner. It's typical breakfast diner fare - nothing that you can't get anywhere else, but at the same time there's a small-town comfort to it. It's in our regular rotation for breakfast; you can't go wrong stopping in for a bite. Oh, and fun fact, if you've been drinking coffee, they will offer you a cup to go. What a happy little bonus!

AMAZING !!! Just could have been hotter ?

Could have been served a little hotter !!! Still was relish. Service is always prompt.

I did enjoy eating here on a quiet afternoon. Our server was able to be attentive without rushing us. This was dense but I liked that the blueberry compote didn't have that fake gel flavor you would get from canned fruit sauces. Definitely would ask for more cream.

I ordered a coffee, the king of the hill omelette and pancakes. The coffee was fine. I really enjoyed the frittata style omelette. The omelette was huge and I could only finish half of it. It could definitely be shared by 2-3 people. I was full from the omelette and couldn't even try the pancakes. I decided to take them home and my server brought a box to me. I flipped the plate over to put the pancakes in the box and there was molded food on the bottom of the plate. I was immediately disgusted and I won't be back.

A great restaurant for breakfast. The bacon dishes are always cooked to perfection. The dishes are properly prepared. The wait time varies. From sit down time you only have 45 minutes to dine. Not a place to sit and talk. They ensure you enjoy your meal and let someone else enjoy their food too.

Sits in what looks to be an old house...found the place to be clean and well maintained . The menu selection was good something for everyone in the group the prices were very reasonable. I found the staff to be very hard working and even noticed they helped each other out

I ordered a Riesling... too sweet, tasted more like a Moscato, 6/10. Caesar salad, was perfect and I added cucumbers .50 more. Perfectly crispy, well dressed 10/10. I also ordered the pot roast 10/10 which I didn't eat much of as I was full but everything tasted perfect seasoned and tender vegetables, roast. Sauce was perfect with the mash potatoes too. Service was perfect. She answered all our questions, was patient and attentive. Jaaniyah 10/10. Be aware, this last part is the business/credit card companies and not the server. For the pricing, I expected much better flavor, quality, and overall creativity. The shareables were overpriced, the drinks were mid-level at best, and nothing really stood out enough to justify the cost. The space itself is nice and works well as a social spot or sports bar atmosphere where you can sit, talk, watch games, and enjoy company. That part of the experience was probably the highlight. However, the service was also lacking because the restaurant seemed noticeably short-staffed. It took a long time to receive attention and proper service throughout the visit, which added to the frustration. Overall, the location and atmosphere have potential, but the menu, food quality, drink execution, pricing, and staffing experience need major improvement to match the type of establishment they appear to be aiming for.

I was recently looking for some restaurants to try that are black owned. Saw a video that The Black…read moreFoodies did on this establishment so my friend decided to go here on 3/25/25. It's in Flossmoor, IL. I'm so happy to do this review on them. We went on a Tuesday and although I had in mind what I wanted to order from the regular menu, we arrived while their Happy Hour was still going on so we decided to take advantage of their tacos for Taco Tuesday and their guacamole. The guac and chips came out first. It looked so fresh and when I tasted it, the angels were singing! Delicious. Then came the tacos - I was surprised how big they were, filled up with good stuff. I had the steak and the chicken. Both were good but I liked the steak best. I had had a challenging workday so I treated myself to the Lemondrop Flight as I love lemondrop martinis. You can pick three from the flavors of original, passion fruit, watermelon, mango and strawberry. The presentation is beautiful in what they bring it in. Toya, one of the owners made it herself and she is definitely a good at making drinks. I enjoyed them immensely. This place is a total VIBE - small, intimate and cozy. They play R&B that takes you back to the 80s and 90s - we were thoroughly enjoying it. Many come in and sit at the bar where there are two large screen TVs. They also have a small outdoor seating when the weather is nice. We were really enjoying our time there. We had the best wait staff - Chris was super cool, engaging and just plain nice. He was informing us of all the events they have there which piqued my interest. Toya also came over and talked with us and I complimented her on the restaurant and promised her that I would definitely be back and would bring others. I have already posted about them on social media and many of my friends are planning on seeing what they offer. For dessert, I ordered the Turtle Cheesecake. I'm kind of a cheesecake snob because my late Mother made the best cheesecake. The presentation of their cheesecake was gorgeous. The caramel drizzle and nuts on it was inviting. One bite and I was SOLD! I was too full to eat the entire big slice they gave me so I worked on it some more when I got home. This place opened in 2023. I wish them the best because they definitely have something there. I can't wait to come back there, it's a place to come, relax, eat good food and enjoy the positive environment that there. Check out their weekly events, brunch and live entertainment on Saturdays. Thank you Poppin' Corks, A+!!

One of the first recommendations for a restaurant that I got when I moved to the Far South Suburbs…read morecame from a server at a breakfast spot that I had visited. She recommended Poppin Corks Bistro. I passed by several time, and being solo, I was looking to get a seat at the bar rather than in the main dining area. There has never been a time that I passed that there was a seat open at the bar, so I sat in the main dining area this one time. I ordered blackened catfish with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. This was a hit. It was full of flavor without going overboard with seasoning. And I appreciate that it was cooked to order. It made up for the cranberry juice being water with a "hint" of cranberry juice, an indication that it probably came from a tap. Service was top and one of the owners made rounds to check on customers. I may stop by again at some point in the future. It would certainly be a welcomed break when I am taking respite from cooking at home.

The ambiance, the service, the cocktails and the food! Every attention to detail was valued and appreciated. The 17th floor view of beautiful Downtown....(wait for it)...Gary, was inspiring. Seriously, you can see the Sears Tower on a clear day and it looked like Oz! This restaurant is one to visit! One to value! One to appreciate! The smoked Old Fashioned was the first clue that this was going to be a good experience. Wood smoked in a decanter and served over a single cube with Rosemary sprig. Perfection! Delicious! I wish I could had the perfect t cigar with it. Appetizers of Ousters Rockefeller were superb. Great sized. Generous toppings. The Waygu meatballs, sauce and perfectly toasted bread almost had me stepping away from my table to "slap the cook" but I composed myself as the perfect gentleman that I am and silently clapped for him. My ribeye was cooked to perfection. Mom had the lamb chops and she said aloud that she was in heaven. I did not want to hear that kind of talk, so I ordered her a prosecco. Ha. She relaxed. We had a few sides, the creamed spinach and the Mac n Cheese and each one did not disappoint. There was no room for dessert, but side note...(this place is located at the Wind Creek Casino just next to a Portillo's and IYKYK- that Chocolate Cake is fire! So make a detour and got ma home.
