My family and I visited this Cracker Barrel recently, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. After being seated, we waited several minutes without anyone greeting us or taking our drink order. During that time, my children even raised their hands trying to get someone's attention, but no one came to our table. What made the situation more frustrating was that multiple servers walked by, appeared to notice us, and still did not acknowledge us. A customer who was seated nearby after us was greeted almost immediately, while we continued waiting without any communication. Eventually, my husband had to get up and ask for assistance. One employee apologized, which I appreciated, but by that point we already felt ignored and unwelcome. I understand restaurants get busy and delays can happen. However, a simple greeting or acknowledgment would have gone a long way. As a Hispanic family, the experience left us wondering why we were overlooked for so long. This Cracker Barrel has really went down over the years the past few times we have tried to eat here the service has just been horrendous with waiting up to 30 -45 minutes after ordering to get our food. Most recent visit ordered chicken and dumpling platter , I really wished I had taken a pic as it was all dumplings no chicken at all and a small serving of just those and the fried okra side I chose literally had maybe at best 10 pieces of okra in a small bowl. read more

My first dine in experience at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store did not disappoint me! LaGrange's dining options were LIMITED, but this was well worth the trip while in the area at the Great Wolf Lodge resort. There was no wait on Friday morning around 10 AM. I ordered their delicious biscuits and tried the fried catfish, casserole and grits. I loved the biscuits and grits! The fish and hash brown casserole were okay, but better with hot sauce (for the fish) &. salt (on the potatoes). My husband had the chicken and french toast & son ordered their pancakes. He liked both! The pancakes were delicious with their butter & syrup and tasted great the next day! I ended up eating them because my son did not want to finish them while we were there. The ambiance was standard Cracker Barrel. We did reserve ahead seating and had to wait while the hostesses discussed who could take us for over 5 minutes. The service while kind was slow to get food. We were a party of 3 for lunch. We were seated by a friendly hostess and served by a very surly young waitress. My wife ordered chicken and dumplings which had 2 small pieces of chicken, mushy dumplings and watery, flavorless broth. I ordered chicken fried steak which was overcooked, dry and crunchy. Updating to say: STAY AWAY. My boyfriend and I got physically sick about thirty minutes after eating here. I have a sensitive stomach so it hit me first and last longer than my boyfriend dealt with but do not eat here. If I could give 0 stars then I would. Stay away if you're looking for a reasonable place to eat. The wait to be seated wasn't bad (about 20 minutes) however, that was the quickest thing about this restaurant. I've been here several times (morning, noon and evening) and each time is just like the last, you get seated and see your waiter/waitress maybe twice more and you wait... then you wait some more. It took around an hour for us to receive our food and the restaurant wasn't packed. Saw several workers just standing around and looking at the tables that still needed to be cleaned. Food tasted good but it should have been warmer for how long we waited. Also ordered cornbread just for the meals to be brought out and told they were out of cornbread (not sure how that happens) and gave us biscuits instead. We will continue to go to Cracker Barrel, just not this location. If you're not hungry when you sit down, you will be by the time you get your food. Overall disappointed with this location. The only thing that was right, was our drinks. We ordered the Grandpa's Brkfst Brk. They gave us almost right order. We asked for the sirloin tips, but got some other kind of meat. Then I had to use the restroom and there was water on the floor. The Hostess was in the restroom and didn't even try to clean it up. She just walked out!! I'm handicapped and she just looked through me. I told the lady behind the register and she said thank you and went to clean the water up. The two receptionists who looked like sisters just stood there chatting among ourselves after we told them we wanted to order. For the last several weeks, my husband and I have the same to go order breakfast. Three blueberry pancakes and order of loaded tater tots and biscuits. The last 3 weeks every week the order has gotten worse. Today, I placed the order online and it ended up costing $10 less than normal. Which I do not understand. I asked for the blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup biscuits with a side of gravy. Get home, and I have absolutely no blueberry syrup and my gravy wasn't even a third of the way full. And on top of all of that, last weekend when I had ordered blueberry pancakes I asked for six syrups, I got three. I was told by the cashier if I wanted more syrup I needed to buy a bottle in the gift store. Cracker barrel in LaGrange Georgia as a general rule is not one of my favorite places but I can get my blueberry pancakes. But if they don't start doing the right thing by their customers, they will lose a steady customer. I know they don't care about this, but maybe somebody in corporate will read this and realize their LaGrange store needs some work. read more

They're rude & their food is sub par for Cracker Barrel restaurants. My family was a party of 6. The manager made us separate to a table of 4 and 2. We asked to pull the table together. She said "no, Covid policy". We saw multiple 6 top tables and asked to sit there and she refused either saying the table was "closed" or that the section was "closed". LESS THAN 5 MINS LATER she sat a table of 6 men at one of the 6 top tables in the section she earlier said was "closed". She sat them ALL TOGETHER! She ONLY told our waitress that we could pull our tables together when she saw one in our party get up to see if she sat that table of 6 men together, which she did. The food was iffy. The order was over $75 and for a family of 8. Alexis was patient and polite (Togo person). The breakfast family was good. This issue was with the chicken fried chicken meal. It tasted of old oil or maybe over cooked/fried. Called the store. The MOD Judy offered to remake the chicken but they were about to close and we were back at the hotel. At this time not really feels a remake. I left with the food and returned to the store where the polite cashier and Alexis where waiting. They took the chicken I brought in. It was very dark and smelled strong of oil. Judy the manager on duty never came out, never saw me. Not her fault, but it was awkward but I will say this....it speaks volumes the the manger never came out, never offered hot sides considering I had to drive back because of the issue with the chicken. I would say you have to be delivery. Be use of COVID-19 they wrap to-go orders up tight. Open it up right there and check everything right in front of them. We did that and that's how we saw missing items and the wrong food made. Again...family of 8 so it's is a lot but I don't rush. They say 15, 25, 40 minutes...whatever, I will it rush you. No pressure but he'll get it right at least. Being honest. Management can make a bad situation recover. I recognize that conversely a lack of competent management can make an inconvenience escalate to where you're like wait what? Well that's the case here. The staff (was okay to great). We ate a late dinner at Cracker Barrel and even though it was 35 minutes before closing time they seated us promptly and a server was attentive to all of our needs. I had the turkey which was moist and tasty, along with mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and Mac and cheese. My husband and son, both had chicken fried steak and they said it was delicious. Ashton had a hamburger and fries, which she said it was really good. Our waitress never let our glasses over half empty, before she was there to refill them.
