Just finished eating had a party of 7. we ordered fairly early, like 5 minutes after we sat down. they were very stricken in how many biscuits we could get and only gave us one basket for everyone at the table. Food came out and we still did not have the salads ordered for appetizer. not everyone's food came out at once. those who did get their food first the sides were cold. the waitress waited to tell my sister that she could not make the food she ordered, so her food came out after we had already eat. Our ticket was over a hundred dollars and we were still treated poorly. there was plenty of staff most were standing around, however we waited 20 minutes for someone to come ring us out. This use to be a really good place to eat for both food and customer service. The food has took a steady decline but the customer service is by far horrible. I was seated after a 45 min wait only to find that no server greeted us for approximately 20+ mins. We got up and started to walk out the hostess asked if everything was ok. I told her the situation and she instructed me to hold on because she wanted to check her phone of a text message. Horrible Horrible customer service. However, this is not the servers faults and this is to be blamed solely on the management. It is as if they are allowing their employees to do as they wish without any guidance or remorse. It took over 30 minutes to receive our drinks...over an hour before our food showed up. Service is lacking. I've been to dozens of Cracker Barrel's across the country and have never had to wait this long! They were no where near capacity and they looked to have a fair amount of staff. At one point our server said our food would be ready in six minutes...25 minutes later it still didn't show up. I will not return to this location! 10/5/19. Absolutely horrible experience. After being seated, it took over 10 minutes for a server to even greet us. 15+ minutes to get water. When I addressed the terrible service with the manager the excuse from her was "we've been busy all day" which translates to = we don't care and you're not important to us. They were not in the weeds, numerous empty tables and even more dirty ones yet to be cleared. Cracker Barrel's are designed to be busy, turn tables over and serve quality food, quickly. I've eaten at Cracker Barrel's all over the country, this was the worst, compounded by an apologetic manager who is clearly unable to maintain standards. The servers didn't help each other, they left filthy tables for the majority of our meal, walking by with empty trays and refusing to clear not only their own tables but their colleagues. One of the things I really appreciate about Cracker Barrel is consistency; you always can count on your food tasting great at each location. This location was no different. I had the Country Boy breakfast complete with pork chops. Apart from the pork chops being a tad dry, everything tasted wonderful. What really set this location apart was the excellent service we received from our waitress, Marché (spelling?). She always wore a smile and anticipated our needs before we voiced them! Went in to eat and was told there servers are not allowed to serve more than 7 people, we had 4 adults, 3 kids and a 2 1/2 month old baby, wanted to put us in 2 separate tables, would not let us sit side by side because they would have to use 2 separate servers. I'm not a fan of chain establishments, but will try them out. I've lived in the south, and have travelled extensively, and Cracker Barrel definitely gives a feel of the slower pace, and country style that I've grown to enjoy. Our family was in LaGrange for a few days, and ate at Cracker Barrel quite a few times, and each visit was a great experience. The menu is what one would expect from a down home establishment, and breakfast is served all day long which has to be one of the best meals to order! Service is friendly, even during busier times. We enjoyed walking around the store, and had a great conversation with Miss Ollie, who made you feel like you were part of her family. If you stay at Baymont Inn, or Holiday Inn Express you'll be behind the Cracker Barrel and can walk. Convenient, and delicious. read more

Service has been HORRIBLE! We were seated, waited 10 minutes before a server from another section picked us up and took our order. Original server still hasn't made an appearance and management has walked past us 6 times and talked to every table around us and ignored our table completely. We've been here for 45 minutes and still only have drinks. Historically, I haven't been a fan of Cracker Barrel. Before this most recent visit, I hadn't been there for decades. The restaurant options are sparse in the area so we ended up at Cracker Barrel for breakfast one Monday morning. It wasn't very crowded so we were seated immediately. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive as were all the employees we encountered. I ordered the Old Timer's Breakfast which comes with pancakes, bacon, sausage and a hash brown casserole. Overall, the food was delicious. I didn't care for the hash brown casserole and the bacon could've been crispier but other than that it was fantastic. The pancakes were HUGE and they were light/fluffy too. I'd say they were the best part of the meal. I had a bite of my mom's grits but they didn't taste good. They had no flavor whatsoever. She didn't like them either so they remained untouched. I also had one of my mom's biscuits and it was yummy. I was with my mom and cousins. We all really enjoyed our food immensely. I'll place Cracker Barrel back on my list for acceptable destinations when I'm hankering for pancakes! read more

Man, I sure wish we had some Cracker Barrel locations in my home state of California. I can only get my CB fix when I'm on vacation. Last night's special was turkey n' dressing, with two veggies. I chose the green beans and mashed potatoes. Who doesn't like a Thanksgiving dinner during the summer, amiright? I enjoyed it all, but least so the dressing/stuffing, which had more celery than I like. Only 3 stars cause our waitress wasn't super attentive... she brought out my mashed potatoes with country gravy and realized her mistake, but I said no big deal and ate them anyway. I also asked for a glass of milk, and when given the choice between 2% and whole, I asked for 2%, but whole was brought out. Again, not a super big deal, but it is what it is. I have said that I am never coming back here again.. but my husband who is sick likes their beans and cornbread. Simple enough order right?? I first tried to call in an to go order, but the people who answer the phone apparently are not equipped to handle that, so you get put on hold until a server picks up.... which by the way was NEVER after holding for 8 minutes. I decided just to drive up to the store since all I needed was beans and cornbread. The two people at the register (again not able to take an order) page a server. The food was okay, but a little greasy. Mine was a basic breakfast meal. However, the waiter was not helpful at all. We received the wrong order, had to request items that were supposed to be included, had a long wait for the meal, no condiments were offered and we had to keep asking for everything. Wish I didn't have to give them a star! Called on Friday to confirm they could handle our party of our 36 at 6:30 PM. Was informed by the manager, "It's Friday night in Georgia. Everyone wants Cracker Barrel at 6:30. You can get in line and we will seat you a table at a time as we can." We chose somewhere else that night. Called again on Friday night to confirm our 8:00 PM reservation for Saturday night. Arrived at 8:00 and they had seated another group in our reservation. Said they didn't have the group leaders name just the school's name. The school names weren't the same. Would only seat us if we assigned seats at tables and would seat as possible. The only other people in the restaurant was the other school. After waiting 30 minutes they were still trying to figure out how they were going to seat us. We left and went somewhere else. So my family and I came here on our way back from vacation. It wasn't busy, but we stood at the hostess stand for a good 10 minutes or so before anyone even said anything to us. Even one of the managers walked past us and didn't say a word. The waitress took forever to come get our drink order and food order. The food was good though. But we were standing in line and a manager was helping two women with their Togo orders and another manager walked up saying she would take next in line, I walked up and she said rudely that she was taking care of the women that were standing there(Togo order women). I said then why say you would take next in line then. She then got rude again and I waited for the cashier. But both women managers weren't worth a damn today! read more

TL;DR: Come to this restaurant if you want to sit for three hours and receive old food and witness poor management. If I could give them negative stars I would but unfortunately I cannot. Upon arriving we were told it was about a 30-45 minute wait, which was fine since we had a party of 14. The wait ended up being over an hour and we were ready to leave when they called our party. Once seated, our waitress was prompt to take our drink orders and kept some of the drinks full throughout the meal. Once we received our drinks she took our food order and put it in, but then it took well over 45 minutes to come out, with no complementary biscuits in sight. Once the food and biscuits did arrive it was old and had been sitting under a heat lamp for a good amount of time. My bacon and French toast were both undercooked and once one half of the table had received their food it was another ten minutes before the other half came out. All of it was old or undercooked and quite obviously poor quality for the Cracker Barrel company. As a food service employee, while we sat for over an hour inside I realized that they were not turning tables fast enough to keep up with the high demand. Tables would sit with dirty dishes on them for at least 20 minutes on each table. There was only one busser and four waitresses in the restaurant this Saturday morning, but unfortunately understaffing is not an excuse for this type of service. The staff clearly doesn't have the motivation to do better, and that can be blamed on the leadership of this location. During my visit I saw the front of house manager socializing with guests and other employees in the gift shop and up-selling merchandise. The manager needs to figure out her priorities and come to the realization that the store can make so much more money if she starts helping out and encouraging her employees to multitask with different positions. Flipping tables is an essential skill and this location is not succeeding because of this. I will not be returning this this location again because I was appalled by the issues we encountered and I was dissatisfied because basic restaurant operations were not followed. read more

She waited 45 minutes before our order came out and then it was missing an entire meal. So, our cooked food had to wait another 20 minutes for that meal to come out. The problem if you're a brown skinned and eating in some parts of the south is that it could tend to be a bit racist at times... Cracker barrel has a feel of its own! Its a chain but a chain for which they have consciously tried to keep a character.. They have the regular breakfast things, bacon, eggs, biscuit, coffee, sandwiches, french toasts, oatmeals, grits, etc etc they do have specials which change! Tonight was the most disappointing meal I've ever had at any Cracker Barrel. I've had countless meals at different ones around the US. This one frustrated me and my family beyond anything I've dealt with before. We waited for over an hour when the wait time was "15-20mins". Then waited 30 mins just to get the complimentary biscuits. Then waited another 45 mins just to get the food. The order that we placed was then delivered incorrectly on multiple accounts. To top it off, the manager did not remove anything from our bill. Typical breakfast for a Cracker Barrel, but I went here for dinner once, and it was TERRIBLE! I had the salmon pancakes and my friend had the trout. Both had terrible flavor and were not fresh. Her trout was completely bland. The service was terrible as well! Our waitress only had a few tables. We came pretty late on a weekday, yet she couldn't remember to bring the things we asked for like hot sauce and lemons. The green beans were soggy and flavorless and the mac n cheese was not homemade. The pork chop was pretty good, and how I remember. Not perfect, but tasty. The biscuits are also amazing and just how I remember. I pulled into this location while on a road trip. I was trying to be sort of quick and be on my way. So, it was disappointing waiting for someone to visit my table. I watched every waitress walk by over and over. Eventually, this really sweet girl did pick up my table and she was great. Fantastic fried chicken breasts on Sundays. Honestly some of the best fried chicken I have had... the batter is spot on with great seasoning and spices. My wife talks about Cracker Barrel all the time and this was my first time here, although I have lived in the south for years. The greens were tasty as well and done in a classic southern fashion. Corn nuggets are a must and, suprisingly, the carrots as a side are pretty tasty. There is a ton to choose from so no matter what your tastes, there is something for everyone. The country stores that are attached are pretty impressive. All kinds of trinkets, candy and toys that you can leave with. They also have a rather large selection of clothes, quilts, blankets and other household items. It's fun to eat and then shop after or if it's busy... shop while you wait!
