I was there having dinner with my family on August 23rd. The service was very slow and even messed up my meal order. But all that was put to waste side after the managers display of kindness. While in line paying for service that we were not exactly pleased with, I receive a call that my brother had just passed away. I dropped everything and broke down in tears in the checkout line. We're in a motorhome pulling a Jeep and they allowed us to park in the back under some shade. Well, we realized right after we parked that two of our tires were going flat. One even went off the rim. Thanks to Kam Chennault and Tyler Graham - they've called someone here right away (ON LABOR DAY TOO!!!) and the guy (Roberto from Journey Roadside Assistance) is fixing our tires up right now. Seems like the valve stems on both tires was bad and they've been leaking air the whole time. They all absolutely went above and beyond helping us to get these fixed and we REALLY appreciate it. First off, the waitress was very nice, but our receipt shows she overcharged us for several items. We were charged $2.49 for the bacon that came WITH the Pancake Plate. We were charged $3.99 for two extra sausage patties when the menu says two patties should cost $1.99. And, we were charged $.50 for Apple Butter that we did NOT ask for. So, a total of $4.99 in overcharges. We were in a major hurry and did not notice everything until we had left--my bad on that part. WHAT A RIPOFF! CHECK YOUR RECEIPT! Easy to find from the road. Lots of parking all around the restaurant. We were greeted as we entered and seated immediately. Our waitress was super friendly and very perky. Serving sizes were large. Not surprised seeing the 2.2 stars after this visit. I ordered 5 entrees on line that totaled $77 before tip, which I left as well, unfortunately for another $10. I had an order promised time of 5:45, and I arrived at 5.42 and let them know I had an online order that I was picking up. They said okay. 10 minutes later they told me the kitchen was behind. This happens so I wasn't upset yet. At 6:02 my order was brought out. I checked it and there was no bread and despite specially asking for 5 tarter sauces, there was only one. So I asked if they could get it taken care of. It took nearly another 5 minutes to get this. I was irritated when the manager finally brought them out and told her I had waited far too long for an order to not be done correctly. She said, "Did you check in, because it's been ready back there since 5:45. I told her YES I HAD. She gave me a terrible attitude and then as she walked away I raised my voice. THAT was the end of it. She kept telling me, "you're yelling over retail", You're yelling over retail, and again! I said do you not care about customer service?? She said I was yelling over retail. As she walked away I told her I'd be calling corporate and she told me, "GO AHEAD". No wonder this store has bad ratings. The manager was the worst I've ever encountered. I was shocked. This Cracker Barrell location has really went down in the last few years. Service was slow in a not even half full restaurant. Didn't get biscuits until I was almost done with the meal. Said they were in the oven. Come on, you're not supposed to run out of biscuits ever! Only one refill. Food was ok, not great. Back to my earlier comment on being not even half full. Good thing, because many tables hadn't been bused. Food scraps and trash all over the floor and I mean it. The place was just filthy! Would t be surprised if they had roaches in the back. This Cracker Barrel is the worst restaurant I have ever witnessed in a Cracker Barrel restaurant. The service was terrible, the kitchen was slow, and just when you think you had seen it all, the cashier had over six people patiently waiting to pay. The food was cold when it finally got to the table. Drink refills were scarce, we only got one refill on iced tea. Another employee offered to refill our drinks, but the waitress was right behind her so we declined. After we received our order, we had to ask the waitress for silverware as she was walking away. Finally got to experience Bucee's older cousin, Cracker Barrel, and in no better place than in Little Rock Arkansas. Was surprised how quickly we were sat even though it was a full house on a Saturday afternoon. The food came out pretty quickly as well and I enjoyed every bit of it. Cracker Barrel used to be one place you could consistently find eatable food. Not this place! I ordered chicken dumplings with broccoli. The broccoli had mild on it and the corn bread had some substance burnt into it. It was awful. The chicken dumplings were a glob of watery flour. The coffee was barely warm and tasted bitter. Let's get down to it. You know I used to really love Cracker Barrel. And it's not like the food has gotten less in quality. It's just that it's no longer justifiable for the cost. I've ordered a plate with three eggs and if that's three eggs I don't know what little chicken they're getting these eggs from. The sausage seems to get smaller. And everything that you are brought are these tiny little portions Especially when there's plenty of other places I can go to and get much more food at the same quality for a better price. We're just talking about breakfast food so as long as its eggs and bacon and potatoes that's not like you have to worry about a difference in quality necessarily. I hadn't been to cracker barrel for a while. I came in for lunch, not expecting much, but quickly, my opinion changed The food was amazing! I had the Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken, and it was nice and hot. The best part of my day was definitely the service. The host Diana was friendly, and despite there being so many people and quite a long wait, she led me to a clean table where as soon as I sat down, my server Alex quickly approached me. He welcomed me with a smile on his face, guided me through the menu, and helped me choose from the many options on the menu. He constantly made sure my glass was full and ice cold. He ran my food out and made sure I had condiments available. Plus, he did all of this while taking care of a lot of people around me! Alex was truly a great server despite only having two stars on his apron and always kept a smile and a friendly attitude. And that I felt like I was showing my Japanese husband 'real' American food.... And the service was ok.. And there are tons of rocking chairs outside. Forget to go online orders big fat zero! Little Rock at Shackleford location. Ordered on a Sunday, time showing to be ready was 12:48 which was 30 minutes past my order time. Got there, was told they were bagging it please wait. Inquired 3 more time at 10 minute interval, told the same. When I ?
