First off, the waitress was very nice, but our receipt shows she overcharged us for several items. We were charged $2.49 for the bacon that came WITH the Pancake Plate. We were charged $3.99 for two extra sausage patties when the menu says two patties should cost $1.99. And, we were charged $.50 for Apple Butter that we did NOT ask for. This Cracker Barrell location has really went down in the last few years. Service was slow in a not even half full restaurant. Didn't get biscuits until I was almost done with the meal. Said they were in the oven. Come on, you're not supposed to run out of biscuits ever! Only one refill. Food was ok, not great. Back to my earlier comment on being not even half full. Good thing, because many tables hadn't been bused. Food scraps and trash all over the floor and I mean it. The place was just filthy! Would t be surprised if they had roaches in the back. This Cracker Barrel is the worst restaurant I have ever witnessed in a Cracker Barrel restaurant. The service was terrible, the kitchen was slow, and just when you think you had seen it all, the cashier had over six people patiently waiting to pay. The food was cold when it finally got to the table. Drink refills were scarce, we only got one refill on iced tea. Another employee offered to refill our drinks, but the waitress was right behind her so we declined. After we received our order, we had to ask the waitress for silverware as she was walking away. Finally got to experience Bucee's older cousin, Cracker Barrel, and in no better place than in Little Rock Arkansas. Was surprised how quickly we were sat even though it was a full house on a Saturday afternoon. The food came out pretty quickly as well and I enjoyed every bit of it. The broccoli had mild on it and the corn bread had some substance burnt into it. It was awful. The chicken dumplings were a glob of watery flour. The coffee was barely warm and tasted bitter. Let's get down to it. You know I used to really love Cracker Barrel. And it's not like the food has gotten less in quality. It's just that it's no longer justifiable for the cost. I've ordered a plate with three eggs and if that's three eggs I don't know what little chicken they're getting these eggs from. The sausage seems to get smaller. And everything that you are brought are these tiny little portions Especially when there's plenty of other places I can go to and get much more food at the same quality for a better price. We're just talking about breakfast food so as long as its eggs and bacon and potatoes that's not like you have to worry about a difference in quality necessarily. I hadn't been to cracker barrel for a while. I came in for lunch, not expecting much, but quickly, my opinion changed The food was amazing! I had the Maple Bacon Grilled Chicken, and it was nice and hot. The best part of my day was definitely the service. The host Diana was friendly, and despite there being so many people and quite a long wait, she led me to a clean table where as soon as I sat down, my server Alex quickly approached me. He welcomed me with a smile on his face, guided me through the menu, and helped me choose from the many options on the menu. He constantly made sure my glass was full and ice cold. He ran my food out and made sure I had condiments available. Plus, he did all of this while taking care of a lot of people around me! Alex was truly a great server despite only having two stars on his apron and always kept a smile and a friendly attitude. The service was great today at store number #634. I may have the number wrong but the Cracker Barrel on Shackleford, Little Rock, AR. The young lady who seated us was very friendly and very courteous to us. She apologized to us for the bad service we received at the other Cracker Barrel in Bryant. The young waitress we had was great from the beginning to the end. We had another young lady come out and apologized to us as well and she assured us that they would take of us today and they did. This one near Trader Joe's was super slow and the food was not good. We heard the cook had just walked out so that could explain it. Anyway, be warned. We won't go there again. I liked the dumplings and the tiny handmade-seeming animal jewelry boxes in the gift shop. And that it wasnt more than $8 a person for a main dish with two sides. And that I felt like I was showing my Japanese husband 'real' American food.... And the service was ok.. And there are tons of rocking chairs outside. Having said all that, unfortunately the food wasn't the greatest. Even the biscuits seemed underbaked, floury and not good to me. Okra and trout were cold; rest of vegetables were overcooked. Forget to go online orders big fat zero! Little Rock at Shackleford location. Ordered on a Sunday, time showing to be ready was 12:48 which was 30 minutes past my order time. Got there, was told they were bagging it please wait. Inquired 3 more time at 10 minute interval, told the same. When I ? How could it be taking 30 more minutes to bag it they said holding on the chicken for the Salads so basically the employees were lying! Asked for manager which miraculously got my food to me in about 4 more minutes & was told they were crediting my credit card for the order.
