Orderd a "Grandma's Sampler". Nothing fancy. Server claims we had a big Togo order. Hmmm! Just a little bit of communication would be helpful. Last time I waited this long at CB, my server went on break and no one covered for her. The food finally came and it was fabulous, even for Cracker Barrel standards. I absolutely love their pancakes. Thankfully, Cracker Barrel reversed course on the rebranding before they got to our location. I had the Old Timer, which is two eggs over easy, bacon and hash browns. Crummy service with decent breakfast food. The restaurant was mostly clean. The hostess and server were distant and inattentive. I ordered a pancake combo with eggs and bacon. The pancakes were delicious, and I was impressed by the serving size. The eggs were okay and the bacon was not very good. I would return here, but it's not my top pick. read more

I would like to say that my server in training and server that was training were both exceptional. What I did not like is as we were browsing the store after we paid for our meal one of the employees started following me around. I am so fed up and sick and tired of this behavior by employees that are judging me by the color of my skin. I wasn't even touching anything, just admiring all the unique inventory that they have. My first time at this restaurant and I was very disappointed. I'm not sure if it was how I was dressed or the fact that I am Mexican but immediately me and my mother were treated differently. Our server barely visited our table to take our order or to refill our drinks. Even though seemed that her other 3 tables were getting much better service. We also couldn't help but notice that said tables just so happen to be groups of white people. I am not one to jump to conclusions but I mean this does not give off a good impression at all. Great service that we tipped handsomely. I had fried fist and chips. The fish quality was horrible. The fist itself could only be 6 inches. The fish tasted like dirt. That's because the supplier didn't wash it thoroughly. The restaurant also did not wash the fish thoroughly. The piece of fish was so thin Cracker Barrel needs to find another supplier. Went to Cracker Barrel today for breakfast, looked around the little store and went to check out, there was NO line and the lady at the register completely ignored my mom when she walked up to her and then told her " the line starts back there " and then she told the people who were behind us to come forward. This is based off of their takeout orders and they really came in clutch over graduation / Mother's Day Weekend. Lubbock is like crazy busy during this time and my family had an inkling we should find an alternative route for breakfast as we had fifteen people to feed on a Saturday. We were able to place an order for multiple family breakfast packs which included pancakes, hash browns, eggs, half bacon/sausage and I would absolutely order this again. Everything was packaged individually and nicely in foil catering pans. Plenty of syrup, condiments, and plates with utensils. Arriving to pickup the food was seamless since they had dedicated parking spots. Everyone agreed the food was piping hot, nothing was soggy, and it felt like we were eating at the store (without the 100 person wait seriously). read more

My daughter and I had dinner last night and it was excellent as usual! We had the Chili jack chicken, Mac n cheese, hash brown casserole and green beans and also the maple bacon chicken, hash brown casserole with carrots. Both chicken dishes were very tender and flavorful. We always get the hash brown casserole .... It is excellent! The green beans are clearly the canned variety but good. The carrots are most likely frozen but sweet and tasty. We were served cornbread and biscuits which are always a bit as well. Our server Chasity was very attentive, personable and efficient! For great home style cooking you just can't beat Cracker Barrel! I've never had a bad meal or service and I love the atmosphere and antiques! read more

They told us it would be a 20min wait, after 40min i went to go ask how much longer and that I would've liked to know it would have been a 40min wait so I could've picked a different place to eat. The lady was super rude and basically yelled saying it's not her fault and that a served walked out that's why the wait was long. Our server was great. She gave us enough time to look at the menu and was great at giving us refills. We had breakfast and we all loved what we got. Pancakes were lite and fluffy, French toast was huge and delicious, 3 slices of huge Texas toast, biscuits and gravy were perfect! All of our orders were made to perfection. They were just starting to get busy shortly after we got there at 9am on a Sunday morning. We always love looking through the store to see what it has. It has a nostalgic look and several things in the store and restaurant has antiques on the walls from the early to mid 1900's. Definitely worth eating here! read more

Not the restaurant that it was. Corporate management had stated that they were going to make changes and it appears that they did. Was there for dinner today, had the pot roast with green beans and dumplings. The pot roast was more like beef tips but was very tasty. I always loved the green beans because of the great seasoning but these tasted like someone opened a can of Del Monte green beans and heated them in a microwave. The dumplings were a dry blob, tasted okay but the consistency was not good. I think it is time for Cracker Barrel to reverse course and put taste back into their menu. read more

The service is great but one time my family and I had a horrible experience. We had this guy that thought that a 1/2 and 1/2 tea meant half water and half tea. I mean who thinks that. Common sense! Went to Cracker Barrel New Years night (1-1-25). Had about 20 min wait which was ok. Seated at table.Took 15 min before a wait person came to take drink order and another 20+ before we got teas. Ok it was New Yesr Day so figured they were a little short staffed. Place food orders. Grandpa Breakfast and Grandmas Sampler. Food took over 30 mins to arrive as we were watching click by this time. Food served was like ware at best . Cut into my very very charred sausage patty that looked like a piece of coal and it was was as raw as it gets. By then had lost appetites. Asked for ticket to leave. Waiter was as nice as they come and tried his best to help, but noticed several tables were complaining. Person in charge never walked by cking on tables and customers to even express the gross totally raw pork. Left and did leave tip for waiter who was trying his best. The parking lot is big so thats good. We we seated pretty quickly. Our service was good, the cashiers and the waitress were both polite and attentive, the food how ever I did not care for. I only come because my girlfriend enjoys it. Their shop has many cute toys and things to choose from but it's all pretty pricey. The food can be costly also but you do get a good portion of it. It's a cool treat for the kids just because the layout of the place is awesome, and theres lots for them to see. The restaurant is always clean and the customer service is always great. read more

To start off the food was excellent, service was good and establishment was clean. Unfortunately there was an up charge on the kids drinks with their meal. We had asked what drinks were included with the kids meal, and when we ordered a drink the server mentioned she brought it out in a bottle. I didn't think anything of it until we got our bill and there was a substantial upcharge for the kids drinks. So if you order from the kids menu just make sure what you are getting. Having been a server I totally understand how hard the job is, but it might be good to okay and upcharge when people order. Management did fix the issue, which was appreciated. read more
