The food was great, our server not so much. She was a little rough around the edges, not mean or annoying in anyway, honestly I feel like she was maybe just a little inexperienced. Cracker Barrel is one of the few places I go when I want to feel invisible. I walked by 4 employees to the To-Go pick up and waited for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. Music was so loud until we couldn't hear waitress and she couldn't hear us. I AskEd if we could have the music turned down. The waitress left, came back, and said she was told "it was jammed and the volume couldn't be turned up or down". That's about the sorriest excuse I've ever heard. read more

Ok everyone is short staffed. However, our waitress was going as fast as she could, and we had a yummy breakfast. Parking for RV's is tight. My family and I love Cracker Barrel. It is always a safe spot for good food, and the staff are always courteous. This time however, that was not the case. Today (Thanksgiving Day) we were on our way back home from vacation, and we hadn't eaten all day so we were starving. We stopped by for a bite to eat here. We had no wait, which was surprising for a busy holiday like Thanksgiving. We sat down and about after 10 minutes we were approached by our server, who got us our drinks. A little bit longer than usual, but it was alright, we don't mind waiting. After another 10 minutes we received our drinks. This is when we started to notice something a bit odd. The staff were moving very slow, and didn't seem as if they knew what they were doing. It took another 20 minutes to fill up our empty drinks, and finally a full hour for the food to come. It was terrible. I got the meatloaf. It tasted like it came from a school cafeteria, cold and gross. I got some mashed potatoes, which were lumpy and dry with a slight film over them, like they had been left sitting in a pot overnight. I also got dumplings, which were also cold with a film over them. We also ordered biscuits, but never got them. My family agrees with my summation, that the food was absolutely terrible. If we were not starving, we would not have finished the meal. Slow service and terrible, cold food. One star. read more

We usually stop by Cracker Barrel on our road trips and i have to say that they are always good. However today the experience at this specific one was not good at all. The restaurant was practically empty and the dinner took an hour to be served. The coffee was cold and no refill was provided until I please asked the waitress. My parent's' hamburgers were tiny and it's tasted weird, the eggs fried were like and omelette so they had to redo them again. The bacon on my moms salad was bad she could finish eaten. After we left my parents got sick, clearly the food was lot in good condition that's why we realized now the restaurant was not full as they always are. First I gave you another chance. My mother and I were trying to dine in. I orderd the extra side salad with the crutons. Received the salad only to have bugs crawling through the crutons.... you have weevils if they are in the crutons there in the flower and any grain or bread product you have. I spoke to the manager that was on duty, showed him the bugs. He did not even apologize for it.... that tells me he knew of the issues and did not care. Guest beware do not eat here. God knows what they will serve you. My mother and I advised we would not be eating what we ordered and left disgusted. At least apologize for having bugs in the food. read more

Stopped here after being on the road for hours. It's probably the first time I was in and out of a Cracker Barrel in under an hour. My Mom and I both ordered the daily special, chicken pot pie and it hit the spot. I had a side salad which was served as expected. Cracker Barrel isn't what it used to be. We stopped on our way to Florida at this restaurant for breakfast. I ordered the Cinnamon Roll breakfast. Wish I could add pictures here to show you what was served and what it looked like on the menu. I tasted as bad as it looked. Service was not very good and the manager was rude. Service was slow (they were busy so that part was understandable). They could've at least brought the bread out early. Second time going to this restaurant. First time the employees were so loud that the waitress could not hear me. She actually told them they were too loud and she could not hear the customer. Of course the entire order was wrong. Second time I called in my order. The employee who took my order was rude. The mashed potatoes were hard! Biscuits were hard, but I asked for cornbread muffins. This was the second time we ordered delivery, attempting to give this place a second chance and well, for the second time they let us down again..once more they managed to forget the gravy for my biscuits and gravy last time they forgot the biscuits I'm pretty understanding but this has reached another level. I absolutely love Cracker Barrel. I get the same thing every time so I know what to expect. My CFS came out abnormally fast on this visit. It was definitely hot, but it was absolutely reheated. It was soggy and had no crunch to it. Also the server seemed annoyed that I asked for extra onion and to have the food sent back. I am not paying for reheated food! Also, what's the point of wearing a mask if you pull it down to speak to me? When she brought the new CFS out, it was much better. However, you could clearly tell my sides were microwaved. My father and I stopped in for lunch at this Cracker Barrel. When we walked in the hostess wasn't there we had to wait for a few minutes for her to return but we were able look around the store a few minutes before she returned. She was pleasant and pointed to the specials on the board and walked us to our seat. Our waitress was attentive to our needs and very friendly. She got our drinks quickly and my father's order of the Fried thanksgiving turkey special and My Salad... I did have them switch the ham for turkey and they did it correctly without issue. The chef salad was huge and tasted wonderful and I was unable to finish it. My father also couldn't finish his Fried turkey dinner although he really gave it a serious try. It was a good size meal for a hardy appetite. We both got to go boxes. We had a nice conversation without interruption and it wasn't overly loud in the restaurant so it was a good place to have a nice chat and eat. Our waitress left our check and we walked to the cashier and paid. The cashiers were very friendly they told us about some items that were on sale for Christmas. I looked but didn't purchase. I wish I could give more stars, but in good conscience, I can't. I was passing through town on my way back from vacation and we decided to call for take out since it was close to our hotel. Upon calling I was asked to wait and then disconnected. I called back thinking it was just a mistake. Placed my order only to be told that they don't have that item (better take it off the menu then). Upon picking up my food, it was cold and about half of my order was missing. I called back and spoke to the manager who gladly fixed the problem. My issue is if you're going to say that you checked to make sure the order is correct, actually check it. read more

Cracker Barrel as a whole is excellent food and service anywhere you go. The Macon, Georgia (Eisenhower) location is probably the poorest one in the chain. We have had our 3 visit to this location today and the food was cold service was poor asked for more coffee with my meal had to ask for it after I finished my meal. Holy crap. The worst Cracker Barrel ever. Food cold, well it did take 40 minutes to come out. Eggs, biscuits, and muffin were raw. The server did show up to give us coffee often which was old but then the restaurant was half empty. Very disappointed and living in Tennessee I've eaten at a few. Lady in front of us also said their food was bad and a manager came over to see what was happening. The cashier told her two tables complained about the food and she (the manager) just walked off. I'm very disappointed with this store. I travel a lot and normally eat breakfast at Cracker Barrel. I asked for plain dry hash browns and they were soaked with oil. The eggs had a sting or something that got stuck in my throat on top of being under cooked. I haven't seen a Store yet that knows how to clean a bathroom. The one star is for the waitress, she was the only plus to this Cracker Barrel experience! We waited a long time to get our food. Understandable if they were busy but they were not. I got pork chops. Normally they are very good at Cracker Barrel Restaurants but not this time. Very dry! My husband got a baked sweet potato. After two bites he quit eating it. The food and service were all amazing. We eat at Cracker Barrel a lot. I must say, the hash brown casserole was the best we've ever had. The eggs were perfectly prepared. The coffee was topped off without asking. Of course, the pancakes were amazing...better than any other restaurant we have been to. They are always consistently fluffy with the right amount of buttery crispness around the edges. Keep up the great work here in Perry Georgia. Met my cousin in Macon for some retail therapy. Ate lunch here yesterday and they waaay over cooked the chicken livers twice. They ended up taking it off the bill. Today we went for breakfast. First the waitress didn't know the special, so I had to run back and check the board. Second, she brought the wrong meal and the wrong eggs and the wrong meat. Had to wait forever for coffee refill. I think we will have to find somewhere else to spend our money next time. read more

Great food, great atmosphere, great service. We went in for a late lunch and were seated immediately. Our server had a trainee with her and both were excellent. They attended to our needs well and always made sure that everything was great. I ordered the chicken livers. I love liver in all forms and I had never had it breaded before. I was delighted to try something new! While a little oily, I have to say that the livers were delicious. The fired okra was, surprisingly, not oily at all. I would definitely come back here again if I drive from Atlanta, GA to Sarasota, FL again. read more
