The corn bread and biscuits although very good seemed to have shrunken in size from our last visit to Cracker Barrel. my only suggestion would to be add a side of brown sauce or put sauce on the meatloaf. I normally never write reviews on anything but this place was honestly so bad I have to. First to start I went to the bathroom and it smelled like straight pee. After that I got a table, the first server was a nice guy no problem with him. Then the server swapped to a lady who was just horrible. Her hair was not neat at all and she was very rushing like. The food came out and it was very plain and unseasoned. I got the grandma's sampler and there was a hair in the pancakes! Immediately I was very turned off after that. The only good thing about the meal was the biscuits. I overall do not recommend this place. With all the other places around, I would find somewhere else to eat. read more

I've been to this location previously and always received great service! This time was no exception. Seated quickly and drink order taken. Refills were always provided without having to ask. Ordered the chicken fried steak and two sides. You know I had to go Mac n cheese and hash brown casserole! Got the biscuits on the side with butter and we're good! It's not the best I've ever had but it always hits the spot! And a great value! For everything it was less than $20! Amazing! Our trip to Cracker Barrel in Mooresville was far beyond our expectations! Do yourself a favor and ask for Kaylen if you go. She made our dinner absolutely incredible. I got the chicken strips with fries, green beans, and apples. She talked to us about the Campfire beef and my husband ordered it. Such a great recommendation! Not a thing left on his plate! I can be difficult with my sides of sauce and extra ice/no lemon, but she was genuinely happy to accommodate all of us. I really appreciated her clearing dishes after our appetizers, salads, and entrees. Looking around, other tables had dishes stacked on them and the staff couldn't care less. You could tell she takes pride in her work. She suggested dessert, but we were too full. She offered to make it to go, so we could enjoy it later! Our leftovers were packaged perfectly with a sweet note on the bill. I'm telling you, we left super full and happy. I've never had service like that at any Cracker Barrel, and we eat at CB when traveling-which we do quite often! Thank you, Kaylen. You're awesome! It took us 22 minutes after we were seated to get the server to come take our drink order and our dinner order. He also had taken the order of eight eight on a table that was behind us, our order and then another table with three next to us. 40 minutes later we still had no food while I watched other tables and get their drinks and get their food and leave. Part of it was the hostess seating his tables back to back. The other part of it was he just didn't seem to care. We saw our waiter when he took our order when he brought our drinks. The other two waitresses and waiter working in that area has seen multiple times turning multiple tables. Asked to speak to a manager when he come out. We had a party of 4 and went at 1:30 pm. The wait was about 10 minutes. It was very packed and our server was clearly overwhelmed. He did not visit us as much as he should've, and the service was veryyyyy slow. However our food was fine. They really skimped on the fries which surprised me. I'm not sure what's going on with this location, but this time wasn't as enjoyable as usual. Portions were SO much smaller (I got maybe a spoonful of hash brown casserole), physical plates were 1/2 the usual size (think snacking plate) and my food was on top of each other. They didn't have gravy for my chicken fried steak nor biscuits until the end of our meal, and when biscuits came out they were slightly bigger than a dollar coin. Loaded hash brown deliciousness! If you love that over the top hash brown taste, add eggs, fried onions and crispy bacon then you'll need to get to your nearest Cracker Barrel and sample this asap. This came with a side of biscuits and sausage gravy to top it off. Yes, it was carb overload but worth every bite. We also ordered a few pancakes. I have to say I'm not one for a pancake but these were really good. I forgot how good breakfast here was. They had many other things to choose from on the menu and surprising to me, you could even order a mimosa. The store area is filled with Christmas cheer right now and they carry beautiful things. Well we are here 2 days - one lunch & one dinner. 1 person wait staff in middle section at lunch. Had to chase down server for drink refills. At dinner we were told no honey mustard for chicken tenders, no butter & no jelly!! I ask for brown gravy on potatoes came to table with no gravy at all. The wait time was about 40 minutes, for my brother it was okay since he's use to that but i was complaining i have never waited that long to eat breakfast in a restaurant plus i was starving. we wrote our names on a board and was handed something that rings when it was our turn. Finally after about an hour wait we got called and was directed to our table. A waitress walked us to our table by the name of Jennifer L she was great. Was quick came to make sure we had water on our glass cups, Coffee, and sweet iced tea. The plates came out quicker than what i though. I had one Bacon & egg hbr with scramble eggs. The plate i had was delicious!!! Hands down best breakfast i had in a restaurant. I found the price on 3 plates very cheap and affordable for the amount of stuff we order. Good evening Cracker Barrel, I would like to address my awful dinner that I just experienced at this location. Our waitress named Neviah she was one of the worst people I've met. She rushed me and my families dinner to the point where we couldn't even have a conversation without her asking if we were done when we just got the plates. This place used to have great memories for me and my family but now all I can think about is how neviah and her bad service ruined the whole restaurant for me. Just another great review for this store. Had the southern fried chicken . It was OLD AND GREASY ! Obviously had been sitting back there for a long while . TOOK IT HOME TO MY DOG. Ordered pintos and greens as my side. Got a bowl of bean soup and ground up ham for my greens. But the absolute worst thing is their PUTRID UNDRINKABLE WATER . I told the lady at check out they needed to put a filter on their nasty water and she smugly said it had a filter and everyone complains about it but it was because it's CITY water and there is nothing they can do total BS ! We eat at many places in Mooresville and none of the other restaurants has water that is undrinkable like theirs. Had a very nice brunch here. It was crowded but was seated just about immediately. Fresh hot biscuits were brought out. Their catfish was perfectly seasoned and fried to perfection. The grits had a good consistency to them. The eggs weren't scrambled but scrambled fried ( if that makes sense). Thursday at about 8a.m. and not too many people were in there, and I waited for a while to be seated. The lady at the register had to call 3 times for someone to assist me. But once I was seated, service was good and the food came out fast, but by the time I got the condiments, the food was cold. The serving size does seem smaller than other cracker barrels. This place is clean. There were 2 RVs in the parking lot that seemed stationed, set up and sides were extended as if people were in there resting and I didn't feel safe leaving the windows open for my dog but at least it was a cloudy and cold morning. read more

It's rare that I find something or anything wrong when I eat at a Cracker Barrel. They are consistent with their menu. I have a bad habit of ordering the same things when I go. Possibly why I rarely have a bad experience. Today I brought my team here and surprisingly we were immediately seated at lunch time. Our sever had her apron on proudly displaying her 4 stars (which means excellent service to be expected). She was exceptional! She also was able to handle 5 grown men who tend to give any waitress a hard time (in a good way). She took everyone's order and it came out the way each of us expected. Never can go wrong asking for their fresh made biscuits and corn bread. I have a love affair with the blackberry jelly. Oh it's probably one reason I love eating here.
