My husband and I were disappointed with our recent meal here. I ordered the meatloaf and 2 sides. I've had the meatloaf before and loved it. This time, it was a thicker slab and didn't seem to have the moistness, the filler nor the ketchup/brown sugar topping like in the past. I had to actually add ketchup to be able to eat it. For sides, I had breakfast casserole potatoes and green beans. Each serving was about the size of a tablespoon. Half of the plate was empty. The potato casserole was hard on top, as if it had been made up quite awhile earlier. For over $11, I expected an average serving of sides. My husband and I agreed the biscuits were the best part of the meal! We won't be going back for awhile. read more

Never go wrong with Cracker a barrel. We have recently ordered for carry out. Everything was perfect exactly as we ordered.

Manager lied to us about being able to accommodate a 16 top and the hostess was loud and rude. Manager hid from us in the kitchen sending messages back and forth with the more mannered hostess. Eventually he overcame his cowardice and came out to face me at which time he did not apologize for not being able to accommodate our party. He offered us 4 tables spread across the restaurant. He made zero attempt to put tables near each other. I called around to other restaurants and easily found a Bob Evans willing and able to accommodate a 16 top. The manager at Bob Evans greeted us cheerfully and a table was prepared for us. The waitress was great and the food was good. Too bad Cracker Barrel can't keep up with the competition. Cracker Barrel has a new revenue stream. After waiting a half hour for food, when there was six open tables in our area, having asked twice for the check, the bill included an item we did not receive. I brought this to the attention of the cashier, who used the check-out register and her phone calculator to figure that my change should be the same amount as the original bill. I finally gave her the change, and told her to pay for some more education. Cracker Barrel must need to charge us for food they don't provide to keep those profits up. lol read more

Our server Abie had 4 stars on her apron, but much like this visit should have received 1. We were there for over an hour and a half, got one drink refill after I requester from the hostess after we waited 20 minutes with everyone at our table with empty drinks. The food was good. The server tossed the check at my mother in law without asking about dessert. Then had to take the receipt back and was annoyed that we built the check... I believe that's good for the restaurant business. I've been here before and have had great service but today was horrible. The people next to us had to request a server. The person bussing let me know they were short staffed... typically I understand....but I know poor service when I see it. Horrible. We got there got sat right down and we sat for 15 and no one had taken our drink order. When we complained to a manger he didn't know where our waitress was or who it was. When we finally got our food ordered and it now had me 30 minutes of being there just for us to order. When a waiter came by he asked how our food was 40 minutes after we ordered and we hadn't got our food. Terrible service. read more

She was super quick and met all of our needs and wants without us even asking as well as made great recommendations for the food. I suggest requesting her as your server. Horrible! Understandably things are different with COVID Option to shop the store or wait outside. With our 80 year old parents we chose to wait inside After 20 minutes of walking around we stop in the corner to chat and the employees ask us to continue shopping or wait in our car The bigger issue for me was the service was horribly slow, service was subpar at best! Traveling through the area Labor Day weekend. The place obviously has been busy during their Sunday lunch rush although the crowd had settled. Our waitress was sweet and attentive, but my plate of food was an absolute mess. The ham tasted rancid. My husband agreed and he's an army guy. He'll eat anything and never taste it!! . The ham seemed to have been heated in a microwave, for the juices had ran all over the plate and watered down the sides. The waitress did take the meal off the bill. Aside from bad food, the place was a dirty mess. Floors were messy and my shoes stuck. The bathroom stalls were a mess. Wood fixtures ages and gummy. It all needs a revamp! Furthermore, an elderly man paced throughout the eating area for 20 minutes coughing uncontrollably. No mask just napkins at his mouth now and then. Why was he allowed to do this during the covid variant resurgence? Overall, bad bad experience. But the waitress was nice. read more

Awesome as always. Mom had her usual bacon and eggs. I had my usual country fried steak and eggs. All tasted perfect. Iced tea perfect as always. The wait staff are very attentive and the manager, who I think has been here for some time is out on the floor checking in with the customers, and they were pretty busy this morning. One of the worst restaurants I have been to. I ordered the trout, but it was burnt, and I couldn't get the burnt taste out of my mouth. The service was okay. The woman who served us was cheerful, but some of the other staff was openly bickering. The cheese grits that I ordered were bland and tasteless. My brother ordered pancakes and received overly sweet French toast. My sister actually received her pancakes and they were dry and overdone. The syrup was tasteless. I don't advise coming here. There are much better places to eat in Morton. read more

Ordered Old Timers breakfast and was disappointed in it all. Gravy came out without biscuits. Really CB? Eggs were literally brown and overcooked. Really CB? Sausage had a chemical taste - artificial smokiness and were so tough to eat. Sigh CB! Needless to say my meal was gross and our poor waitress! She was excellent and for that I give a kudos to Stormy the waitress who was embarrassed at the food we received and determined to make it right. Just placed a pick up order and ordered with my order a kids burger meal since we have our nephew with us, we asked for cheese and ketchup/mustard on it, the person on the phone kept questioning it asking is it an adult or a child burger because kids don't like ketchup and mustard. This went on almost the whole order, they kept going back to the child burger! It's just rude to do that and all kids are different, just because I asked for condiments on the burger makes it an adult meal?! Manager needs to get the employee in check. read more

Such good home cooked food! Always predictably good. We waited 20 minutes, but it was worth it! I am a weight watcher and they have many things on their menu that work. I had grilled trout that was wonderfully seasoned and perfectly done and juicy. I had steamed broccoli and cucumber tomato salad... very good too! Every Cracker Barrel is designed to look the same, but this one has outstanding food that doesn't taste the same, together with warm hospitality and friendly, efficient service. With the two dining rooms full to capacity before 6 on a Friday night, we were asked to wait a mere ten minutes while the staff cleaned our table. We were rewarded when Savannah met us as we sat down and offered to get our drinks while we looked at the colorful cards with seasonal menu items. The Apple Cider Barbeque Chicken Breast with Apple Chutney and dried cranberries was delightful. My wife enjoyed the crispy catfish fillets from the Country Dinner Plates menu. Seriously, the breakfast menu items are the same 5 things in different amounts with different names. I generally hate this place, not sure why I continue to go here once every 4-6 months or so. Last fall I went there with a group. So, it wasn't my choice as the trip stops were already planned. Anyway, the menu has a somewhat dated selection of artery clogging foods like eggs, meat and dairy. It's like winding the clock back to 1819. I don't remember seeing any vegetarian or vegan options other than ordering sides of veggies. The service was ok and the food was edible. I've had much worse elsewhere, usually at buffets. But, a couple of things completely ruined the experience. One was that when we were leaving someone said "excuse me, you're walking too slow". The only thing is I was walking fast. I think this person was some kind of extremist or bigot. Next, people kept coughing at me in the gift shop. Incidentally, I didn't buy anything and proceeded outside and waited in the cold until the others were done. In lieu of all of this, I wouldn't go near this place. read more

The food comes in LARGE servings and it it is very filling. Some of their food could use some more flavor like spices or more unique sauces but the food definitely doesn't taste bad.
