I'll give it two stars, since the food (what little there was of it) was good. We've been here many, many times -- never disappointed. The wait staff is excellent, the wait time short and sweet. BUT, the other day. . . We ordered 'to-go' two roast beef dinners with mashed potatoes/gravy and fried apples. A favorite meal for both of us. Peeked in the bag, no gravy! Thank goodness we were still on site -- the waitress brought us two cups to add to the bag. Should have looked more... The fried apples -- one cup weighed in 156g, the other 102. The gravy? Closer, but not great... 71g vs 59g.... literally TWO tablespoons! What a disappointment... I guess eating in is the only way to get your money's worth at this establishment. Yeah, I took pictures.....

The waitress from very kind, polite, and attentive. We sat over an hour waiting for food. The waitresses started bringing out all of the tables that had been waiting forever a plate of biscuits. It wouldn't have been that big of a deal if the food came out hot. It was luke-warm at best. My wife's gravy was goopy and thick. Could've laid bricks with it lol. My catfish was dry and hard. Hasbrown casserole... oh lord I never thought I'd ever say the casserole was nasty, but it was at this location. Huge pieces of onion, and the onion was so stout it made my eyes water. I have no idea what the kitchen was doing, but this wasn't it. I had never been to this Cracker Barrel location, and to say in the least I was disappointed by the food, but not the customer service. Probably won't be frequenting here.

Slow service, raw steak, awkward and non-vocal waitress, plate entirely too small for anything. (The photo is the "brought up" version of the steak. Supposed to be medium. (The servers name was Tiffany)

It was very cold where we were sitting and the server allowed us to move to a warmer spot. We ordered a fried mushroom appetizer. This was very good. They came with ranch and I think it was the horseradish sauce. The orangish sauce was very good. I ordered 1/2 rack of dry ribs with mac & cheese and green beans, and 2 hushpuppies. You get a choice of Texas toast, hushpuppies, or rolls. My coworker ordered salmon. When the food came out, my ribs were wet. I told the server that I had ordered dry rub. He stated they were dry but had sauce on them. I'm sorry, that is not a "dry rib", in my opinion. The first piece of rib meat I ate was soft and juicy. The next two were super dry and I could not eat any more of them. My coworker joked that that was probably what they were referring to when they said "dry rub". The green beans were ok. I added a ton of pepper and some hot sauce. I saved the mac & cheese for lunch the next day. The hushpuppies were dense and needed a little more flavor. My coworker commented that her salmon was ok but nothing to write home about. I should have went with my first instinct and ordered from the kids menu. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is nice.

After searching Yelp on the way in, it was on my list too. They did not disappoint. They are just along the social district on market street. The kids being there after 9pm was off-putting but they left at some point. We ordered another two beers called Raw Dog IPA pineapple. Delicious cashed out at $65. Not many dining choices in this area. Ample parking and a large dining area with tables efficiently serviced so that they turn over quickly. Our wait for a table was only 10-minutes, following a group of 18! The service was the star of the experience. Very efficient, helpful, attentive servers. Shout out to Suzanna. The large staff worked well together and seemed to make everyone feel comfortable. The ambience is southern, hometown casual. You feel like you are visiting your large family from start to finish. Nothing pretentious. Clean enough. Comfortable. Pricing....in this time of food inflation, this restaurant still offers amazing prices. My husband and I had two large dinner entrees with water and our bill came to just under $24.00. Our portions were generous as evidence in the photo. Our waitress recommended the grilled pork chops which were hot, juicy and seasoned just right. They came with two veggie sides from a long list of choices. I chose collard greens and Mac and cheese. These items were just average and only luke warm as was the biscuit (from a choice of about 5 bread options). Had the sides been hot and a little more flavorful, I would have given 5 stars. For vegetarians and all-day breakfast eaters, Cooper Pot is your place; so much to choose from on their menu. Vegans might struggle as most southern cooking includes dairy and it looks as if they cook their sides in large quantities and keep them in a warmer to serve. The ability to respond quickly to large numbers of travelers and locals, with solid, well-priced, filling meals is the gift of the Copper Pot. We will return when traveling their way.
