Years ago I considered Cracker Barrel to be one of the best chain casual restaurants. I don't know if the chain is getting too big for quality control, or if it is this location, but I am no longer impressed. In my review of this Cracker Barrel I must first point out that everything about it is like any other Cracker Barrel I have ever been in -- the floorplan, the country store, the menu, etc. All of that is fine. There are two key factors that cause me to rate this location as a two. First, the service seems extra slow, from taking the order, to bringing the biscuits, to bringing out the meals (finally!), as well as keeping the drinks full. Second, the food tastes like it has been sitting under a heat lamp. I should point out that I go not go to buffets or cafeterias because I prefer to have my meal made freah. I believe the Cracker Barrel is more like a cafeteria kitchen, where they bring the food out to you. Its not awful, but I have been disappointed the past few times. read more

This is one of the best Cracker Barrells!! Their food is always good and great service. I try to get the grandmas breakfast. The value for the money is great. Other breakfast places in the Chesterfield Valley are good, but extremely expensive. Well worth the extra few miles over the bridge. read more

This cracker barrel was HORRIBLE I mean HORRIBLE the manager was very nice but the food was nasty and the biscuits were very hard and burnt almost. The orders were consistantly wrong. The servers were rude but the manager was very kind and helped, the manager was probably the only good part of our experience. read more

Cracker Barrel has been a popular choice for our family on a variety of events. This time, my birthday! We were seated very quickly despite it being a Friday evening. They were more than happy to accommodate a seating arrangement for our larger group (pushing two tables together). It was our waitress's first dinner shift (poor dear), but she powered through. Yes, mistakes were made, but everyone did everything to make those mistakes right! Other than a forgotten side, I have no real complaints! The food was delicious, as always. The cornbread was amazing and fresh. The staff made excellent meal recommendations and everyone was immensely friendly! My family and I will no doubt continue to visit this location. read more

Do not enter this Cracker Barrel if you want your food timely or hot. It was terrible service. Orders were jacked up and we got it in intervals. My husband was done eating his by the time mine arrived. Too many other good choices in the area to take a chance on this one. Good luck. read more

Food is good if you do not mind having to wait. A twenty minute wait for breakfast when the restaurant is half full at 9 am on the weekend is unacceptable. This is a sign of poor management and ownership unable to hire necessary staff for (Surprise) Sunday breakfast at 9 am. read more

We got seated quickly but that was the only good thing to happen here we waited an hour and a half for our food for it to be missing almost every side that came with the meals and they were cold it felt as if they just heated it in a microwave and after asking our server nicely for our sides she preceded to bring out other people's food who came after us with everything that came with them we waited an extra 30 minutes and they didn't bother to bring them to us we didn't eat and went to talk to a manager he tried to justify why everything happened instead of trying to solve the problems so we left without paying we went to a great place called tom and chee definitely check them out way better service and price and taste wise read more

Now is this place an epicurean delight? No. But it is good, basic food for a fair price with fast and friendly service. Only negative I have, and it's a small one, is that the noise is high. But for a good unpretentious meal, you can't go wrong. I had the chicken and dumplings and the taste was good, the food was hot the portions were good. Can't beat that. read more

I'm a fan and always will be. I had the Grilled Chicken Salad it was after lunch and before dinner. So the floor was quite. Staff was right there to attend to my every whim.They treat you right here. Watch what you order it will fill you up and fill you out at the same time. Sunday's Fried Chicken Breast dinner is the best I've had anywhere. Sunday for breakfast is not a good time. Church people come in starving with all their kids and it becomes a little to crowded. There all niece people but they max the cook out. I am giving 1 Star because we just left and we're very unhappy! We came in 2 adults and 4 kids! My husband and I each ordered an entree and 3 kids ordered the pancakes and asked for 1 egg each. The server failed to mention the 3 eggs would cost ALMOST $11.00!! For THREE scrambled eggs!! Their pancakes were almost $5 so 3 of our kids kids meals cost more than our entree with 3 sides! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!! I can buy almost 7 dozen eggs for 11 dollars!! That is terrible and even worse the server mentioned nothing about any upcharges. She also charged us for my other sons drink that was supposed to be included with his chicken tenders!! We just spent almost 70.00 on subpar food with mediocre service! We drive 35 min to eat Cracker Barrel because we don't have one by us, needless to say we left unimpressed and will not be returning! read more

My family and I just walked out of this Cracker Barrel after sitting at a table for 15-20 minutes with not one person coming to the table to take our order or check on us. We saw plenty of people standing around and walking past us. We attempted to stop a couple waittresses bit they told us that we were not their table. We only saw the manager as we were leaving and by that time we had no interest in what he had to say. It was 7:30 on a Monday night and half the tables were empty. read more

Went there for breakfast on Sunday morning. Ordered eggs in a basket. Toast was dry - who doesn't put butter on toast? Eggs were done right but were tasteless and COLD. Biscuits brought to our table were small, and were not browned - so they were like nasty pieces of glue dough. Used to like this place but they've made everything cheaper, smaller and tasteless. My family has been having breakfast here for years. Generally, we enjoy the food and service but this Sunday, April 8, the B team must have been on duty in the kitchen. It took almost 40 minutes to get our food, the bacon was overcooked, one breakfast bowl was incorrect and sent back, our hash browns weren't delivered to the table with our breakfast because they were "still cooking" them. This review is only for their holiday catering service. Our family is super busy this year and so we decided to order our Thanksgiving meal from Cracker Barrel. We went for brunch and I asked the hostess who I would talk to about ordering for Thanksgiving, she said "not me" try the other hostess stand, I tried that and they also said, "not here, try the front counter." Went up to the front counter and I was handed a catering menu and I said great, I'd like to order, but was promptly told to ask our server at the table. At this point I'm pretty annoyed. I mentioned to our server that I wanted to place my order and she said, "hmmm not sure who does that, let me find out." She never let me know anything. After we get the check we go back to the front counter to pay and I mention to the guy at the register that I want to place my catering order, he responds, "I don't do that and I don't know if we are taking those yet." Um hello Thanksgiving is in a week and a half! I told him to find someone who could help me, he called for a manager twice, no response, I told him to call again and someone came up but walked by me twice. Finally a nice young lady asked what I was waiting for and I told her again and that I've now been waiting over 15 minuets, she is the only one who apologized. A confused bus boy finally comes up with the order form and takes my order, I asked him how this works and he said he didn't know except that I come in and pick it up. I got no confirmation number or copy of my order. The manager finally came over and let me take a picture of the order form. No apology or nothing. Maybe I should have gone another place. I'm giving this location 4 stars because of the waitress! I'm not sure if she was new or what but she kept forgetting everything. It was NOT crowded, if so I could understand. We were dining in (7 people) first we ordered our drinks which took a while, then we ordered our food and she was supposed to bring out the biscuits, we didn't get any biscuits until the food came out, which I thought you was supposed to get the biscuits before the food came out?? She brought our food and out and forgot 2 sides of broccoli.. for two different people's meals at our table so we asked and she said it wasn't done yet. I ordered the shrimp plate with 3 sides (mashed potatoes, broccoli and fried okra) all the food was hot and pretty good, I didn't really care for the mashed potatoes they tasted like they were potatoes out of the box and not fresh like country cooking, so that was a little disappointing since it's supposed to taste like real country food!! After our waitress brought out our food WE NEVER SEEN HER AGAIN. She never refilled our drinks and there is 7 of us. She never brought our checks, I had to ask another waitress to find her and that waitress could NOT find her???! So she got our bill, no discount for the lack of bad service, but that's ok. She wasn't our waitress and she had to figure out the bill and asked us if we wanted to-go drinks and brought us out some. She still could not find our waitress, what did she do fall off the face of the earth or say screw it they got there food so they don't need me to do anything anymore? The manager should speak to this waitress about taking care of her customers correctly and not leaving them and not bringing them there bill! Like I said all the food was fresh and tasted pretty good minus the mashed potatoes so that's why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Honestly, I probably will NOT return to this Cracker Barrel because of the poor service but I will go to another location because the food is good, kind of high though our bill was $75+ tax for 7 people. read more

My wife and I just went there for lunch today. The waitress brought us our drink along with a coffee that no one ordered. No big deal. Then our orders came. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger but all I got was a hamburger patty with fries. Is that even on the menu? Anyway I asked for it to be corrected and they took care of the problem pretty quickly but when they brought my new burger out it was obvious that they just slapped that same patty on a bun and threw a couple slices of cold cheese on it. Cracker Barrel used to be one of our favorite budget friendly places for an evening meal, well, it's never been the best food, but adequate and the service is usually decent. There must have been a management change or something but there was definitely a menu price increase. There must have been a staff meeting or something going on last Friday night, May 1st 2015, because the wait staff kept disappearing and getting a drink refill became quite the challenge. I know this place has horrid turn over, but didn't even see a single familiar waitress, usually there is at least one. they need to do something or even the pancakes with the crispy edges my wife loves won't be enough for us to keep coming back. read more

Very disappointed in this location. I usually can count on CB for a decent meal or takeout, quickly served, with quality. Not so here. Despite the dearth of employees (three hostesses, two managers, three checkout clerks, and plenty of waitstaff), my to-go order took more than fifty minutes to be completed, and when I got it, the food was cold. Throughout my wait, I was assured that it was "almost done," and at one point the hostess said that they were waiting on corn muffins, at which point, I said, toss a biscuit in there and call it done. I had been on my feet all day, and standing on my feet for 50 minutes waiting for food was just ridiculous. People came and went while I stood there. Waiting. When I finally got my food, I was not offered an apology, or discount, or anything. I paid and left, and will NOT be going back to this location, ever, despite traveling to that area often for work. I even took the time to register a complaint through the website that, as of this review, has not been responded to (it's been 6 days). read more

Cracker barrel has neglected its carryout sector bigtime. the space designated for carry out orders is basically right smack dab in the middle of where all the action is. Cluttered with more junk then i've ever seen in a cracker barrel store, there was no room for patrons to move about and rubbing shoulders was a literal thing here. After receiving my food without from a young man who couldn't spell hospitality with a dictionary in hand. I was glad to be out of the rat trap. I then proceeded to hurry back to work while rifling through my order. I ordered the chicken strip plate. I was offered biscuits on tthe website and there were biscuits on my ticket. there were no biscuits in my bag. there was no sauce in my bag although its the first item on my ticket. my fries were soggy. I like to think that was because of the container but i opened it almost immediately upon receiving my food to sneak a taste and i can't say that steaming in the container was the cause. Even if it was, why would you not store french fries in a way that wouldn't ruin them. I enjoyed my soggy fry, dry chicken, biscuit free, meal so much i've decided not to return to this location. I now understand why my coworkers always bypass this place when voting on carryout. read more
