This review is a little late, but better late than never. This was Easter Sunday dinner. Cracker Barrel offered the dinner like Thanksgiving and I was haaaaaapy. There was country ham, Roast Turkey carved, not processed packaged meat. Also, savory moist dressing, gravy, green beans and fried apples. We actually stayed in their parking lot overnight in our 24' RV. When we walked in to get dinner, we added 3 female employees chatting in the store portion and stood at the hostess stand. None of them moved. After a few minutes, a very sweet young lady greeted and seated us. She also waited our table, and she was wonderful in spite of being the only one doing anything productive. I wish I had Glen her name because she should get a raise! Good was average CB - good enough. Can't really recommend overnighting in their lot. This place is the filthiest restaurant I have ever been in. There was food all over the floor. Tables were not bussed. Everything was sticky. Utensils were stained. The food was even worse. Scrambled eggs were slimy and inedible. Fruit was old. Grits were flavorless. Our server gave us each one tiny napkin and acted upset when I asked for a spoon. We had to share one menu. The service here is lacking. We were sitting at our table waiting for 15 minutes and were never greeted by a waitress. Many of them walked by us, saw we didn't have drinks, made eye contact with me, and still kept walking back and forth ignoring us. Eventually a manager came by to tell us one of the grills was broken and that the food was taking longer than expected- even HE didn't notice that we didn't even have any drinks. Haven't been to Cracker Barrel in years. It seems more congested with stuff than before. Walking in, all you see a lot of merchandise. I think they should have a clear path for the restaurant. I came to pick up food. On a Sunday, be prepared to wait more than an hour. Overall the food was good. I'm not a big fan of waiting but had to wait a little longer than that hr and was still missing food. Overall, I can't fully complain it was a Sunday brunch and I can see they get busy. Place is 500% cleaner since the rebranding, the menu looks good and they are actually cleaning the tables between customers unlike before, which is what has been needed all along. There is still obviously no real management at this location since we arrived at nearly 11 am to find out orange juice had not been available all day because nobody took any out of the freezer last night. Poor management but also disappointing that a restaurant known for breakfast and long waits serves frozen orange juice. We waited 10 minutes longer than they estimated for a table to be seated only to find more than half the tables were empty and less than half of those appeared to have had anyone at them. Visit was Dec.10th.Seated quickly and our server was great however the food and lack of certain dishes not so great.Never been to a Cracker Barrel that did not have chicken and dumplings so my friend was disappointed. This was early in the day so it is not like they ran out.The menu had a half herb baked chicken dish on it which I was informed no longer existed. My favorite is turkey and dressing. It also includes the sweet potato casserole and cranberry sauce. Servers name is Lexx she was excellent. Came back to ask if everything was good and checked with us several times. It's a Cracker Barrel so ambiance is family friendly. There was young boy walking around his table the entire meal. I went to Cracker Barrel with my elderly mother for a Sunday morning breakfast. The service was very good, our server was polite and attentive. However, the host who sat us was in a hurry and did not wait for my mother, who had trouble walking. We were going to be seated in the back of the restaurant, but a manager intervened and moved us to the middle section, which was much appreciated. The food was a hit and miss. My mom ordered the Momma's pancake breakfast with bacon and fried eggs, and she really enjoyed it. The portion was generous and the price was reasonable, only $9. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with breakfast sausage, which was $7. I was very disappointed with it. The sourdough bread was seared, which made it too soft and soggy with the runny egg. The sandwich was hard to hold and eat, and it lacked flavor. I also got the hashbrown casserole as my side dish, and it was dry and bland. I had to use some hot sauce to make it more edible, but I still did not finish it. They should toast the bread instead of searing it, and add some more seasoning to the casserole. Overall, I would rate this Cracker Barrel 3 out of 5 stars. The service was great, but the food quality was inconsistent. Took me a few minutes to decide on my order. Kayana was my waitress, polite and prompt a start to what I thought was going to be a lovely meal. I settled on the meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy and baked cinnamon apples. Surprisingly my order was ready in just a few minutes. It was 3 in the afternoon and the diner was busy especially for 3 in the afternoon. Unfortunately ALL the food arrived barely like warm. Definitely not athealth department standards. I asked for the manager whom offer to send it back to heat it up and I asked for a refund, I'd pay for my drink and he compted the entire bill. For those that think I ate and ran, I only took two bites each out of the meatloaf and mashed potatoes took make sure the temperature was the same the entire dish. Also I left a tip for the waitress. Visited this location and the service was poor. It was 5 of us and they attempted to put us at a small table very close to a wall. We asked to be moved and the waiter told us that all she had. Well, I wish I had taken a picture of the restaurant so that I could show there was plenty of space to make the accommodation is just something that she wasn'twanting to do. The ambience here is always aesthetically pleasing as it looks like you're having a meal with your family at your grandparents house. They have apparently replaced a lot of their previous servers as the service is so much better than it has been they always change their menu items and have a great selection, the prices are great. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that our eggs were a little overdone and I do not care for the for the biscuits and gravy needs a little bit more sausage and pepper. read more

I and never eaten at a Cracker Barrel and folks said it was great. They had great service, comfortable ambiance AND horrible food. I had 2 eggs over easy with sausage patties, potato side and biscuits and gravy. First off, the sausage patty was overcooked and tasted horrible. The potato slurry was horrible. Thankfully, they replaced my sausage with bacon that was edible. The gravy was bland. My exact comments to my son after eating here for the first time was, "The Continental breakfast at the hotel was better than this place!" I will honestly NEVER return. read more

Want to tell you about the service at this location and the useless staff. We visited the Richmond, VA location on 2/26/2025 @ 5:49 PM. My wife had ordered the 10oz steak, ask for it to be well done. I ordered the "Big Easy Steak & Shrimp" in creole sauce. Asked for my steak to be well done. When our food arrived, my wife's steak was to her order, mine completely wrong. My steak was over cooked on the outside, medium on the inside. My shrimp was in a bowl, breaded, not sautéed. And no creole sauce. When the server (Fallon, G) came back, she was informed of the issues. All she could say was that she was sorry my order was not to my liking. MY Order WAS ABSOLUTLY WRONG! She then stated she could get non fried shrimp to put on my steak. This solution was unacceptable. I had asked for the creole sauce, never got that item as well. Upon check-out, the cashier NEVER asked how our experience was, obviously she did not care either, so my wife proceeded to inform her. As no time did she offer to get a manager. So just by the way this store runs, it's very clear that your organization does not care about customer service. I work hard for my money, and expect decent service if I'm spending it in establishments such as yours. Happy New Year all. Here I go again. I think the service was bad this time because it is New Year. We ordered take out. Didn't feel like cooking. So my wife ordered the southern fried chicken and we truly couldn't describe any piece but the drumstick. It was cold and it looked like they threw it in the container to get me outta there. Very disappointed and upset. Had to do this back in April of last year put in a bad review. I had the fried shrimp which was also cold and thrown together. The food was excellent. The place was nearly empty, but breakfast for dinner took 45 min to get to us. Others who came in after us received their food, ate, and was leaving with carrot boxes before we had our food. The waitress was decent to start with, then she disappeared. I finally walked to the kitchen to get a drink refill ( manager did it) and then another 20 min and still not checking on us. Thought I'd have to run down the manager for the check. We finally had it and I went to pay. It took THREE different people to get me checked out. No one seemed to want to do it including the manager, the first one who was running a registered. He passed it off, the next girl passed it off, finally a very sweet. Competent person, London, checked us out. Yes, i know the re was a new chef apparently, but why hire a cook that takes 45 minutes to fry a pancake? The instructions of no butter sugar free syrup, ketchup for the hash browns were ignored.
