Crispy Brussel sprouts. Very yummy.... Highly recommend. recommend.

Food was delicious. Fast service. The Brussel sprouts were amazing. Probably some of the best I've had. Wish it had come with goat cheese. And you have to pay extra for bacon. Server was very attentive.

Food was great everyone at the table enjoyed their meals! We got two of the chicken pizzas with mushrooms and spinach added, they were absolutely delicious and large! The house salad dressing was also very yummy! The chicken and waffles had large pieces of deliciously fried chicken, and the southwest omelette had such great chipotle sauce! The only disappointment was the steak eggrolls too expensive for what you get and not fabulous. I would try the burrata next time. Everything else was great though!

Just came to update my review and still say this place is amazing. I've never had a bad food item. The staff is always so nice. The bacon wrapped dates are a must! So happy to find a higher end restaurant with good vibes and even better food

Tasted amazing and was very seasoned, usually when I would order a pasta from somewhere I would also order extra sauce because many tend to be on the dry side, but this pasta was great and had enough sauce. The service was also amazing and very welcoming. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very on key tending towards their name and the tables were spaced out nicely where we had a lot of space to ourselves, the music was also quite nice.

We moved to Mechanicsville and always planned to stop by and check this place out. Ironically, we recently moved out to King William but ended up stopping by for a late lunch before heading to the grocery store. After being seated and looking over the menu, our waitress informed us they had run out of dough, so none of their pizzas were available. Of course, my husband had decided he would try their pizza, so that was a no-go. He decided on a burger, and I decided on an appetizer because I was too undecided and not extremely hungry. My husband really enjoyed his burger, my steak egg rolls were so hot my tongue was seared, I cut them into smaller pieces to let them breathe but I just wasn't into them, especially when I found a hair that I suspect wasn't mine since my hair was pulled back in a headband. I'm not making accusations, and we didn't complain, I was finished anyway. Overall, they had a pretty decent brunch menu, and they have a substantial bar with their specialtycocktail menu. The vibe wasn't great. Possibly, I was heavily influenced by no one being at the front when we walked in, and then there were the kids next to us constantly banging on the banquette seating while their parents said nothing. We would be open to giving this another try, maybe earlier in the day for lunch or possibly for dinner. It just seemed to be an off day for them.

I'd say my experience here was the epitome of average. We were a bit early for our reservation time (20 mins) due to trying to beat thunderstorms arriving in the area. They said they'd seat us closer to our reservation time, which was fine. They had a bench to wait by the host stand; the bar was full so we didn't go over there. Once seated, we ordered moscato and the sangria for drinks, as well as the white cheddar cornbread as a starter. For our meals, we had the salmon and the chicken. There was a pretty lengthy wait for food, and when the server who was running our entrees asked if we needed anything else, I replied, "Just our starter." Our main server later came over and said he wasn't sure why the kitchen was taking so long on the cornbread. It then arrived immediately thereafter. I totally understand blaming the kitchen in certain instances, but if you forgot to put it in, which he obviously did, just say that. We were full from our meals and thus didn't finish the cornbread. When he asked if we'd like it wrapped up, I said that I wasn't sure how it'd taste warmed up. He then comped it off the bill, which was nice. The cornbread was pretty good, from what I tried, and my salmon was good as well. They were able to sub out the asparagus for broccolini, which I appreciated. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit Charred again, but they do quite the business so I'm sure that's okay with them.

This was our first time here but will be back. Had a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Very tasty and the dressing was delicious! Service was prompt and attentive. I ordered a salad to go and it actually came out before our meals. Not sure why but it did. The people next to us had grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato bisque soup. Looked and smelled delicious! Will definitely be back to try something else from the menu.

Hubby had short ribs, Brussels and cheese grits. Kiddo had chicken and waffles with gravy, and I had the Barbecue Sundae. All three were so tasty! The menu has so many tempting options that it was hard to choose, but we both landed on the Hot Chicken Sandwich with cayenne butter--and we're glad we did. It had the perfect amount of heat: enough to bring some spice without overpowering the flavor. On the side, I ordered the green beans after our bartender/server highly recommended them. Normally, green beans wouldn't be my first choice, but they were seasoned perfectly and ended up being one of the biggest surprises of the meal. My partner chose the mac and cheese, which was the superior side (although both were excellent). The service was friendly, attentive, and genuine throughout the evening. Despite arriving on a Friday night without a reservation, we had no trouble getting a table. They only accept reservations for parties of 5-8, so I'm glad we decided to take our chances. One of my favorite parts of the evening was chatting with another guest at the bar. He and his wife shared several entrées with their young son, and they couldn't stop raving about the short ribs--which their son happily claimed for himself by the end of the meal! They also highly recommended the salmon, so we've already got ideas for our next visit. The only real downside has nothing to do with the restaurant itself: parking in Scott's Addition can be a challenge. I'd recommend allowing yourself some extra time to find a spot or, even better, taking a rideshare so you can start enjoying your evening right away. Lunch. Supper! has earned its reputation as a longtime Richmond favorite. Great food, excellent service, and a relaxed atmosphere make this an easy five-star recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

We opted to sit indoors but near the patio, so there was a nice cross breeze. I ordered the popcorn to start and my mom ordered pretzel bites. My mom raved about her meal, but I could barely stomach the omelet. It was SO bland. I immediately let our server know, and she let me swap for something else. I asked for the muffalletta, but they were out of stock, so instead I ordered the wake n bacon. I wouldn't rave about it like my mom did, but it was much better than the omelet.
