I like Cracker Barrel but I feel like their updates are frustrating and they keep raising prices and taking things off the menu that are popular. However, they do have an app with rewards finally so that is nice since they don't offer any other discounts. Overall though their food is usually very good. We love the comfort food like their pancakes (with cute mini bottles of syrup), roasted chicken, pot pies and Shepard pies, meatloaf and dumplings. I also like that they have coffee drinks now and skillet meals and the complimentary biscuits/cornbread and jam are delicious. I do wish they would add a better variety to the kids menu like meatloaf, soup, chicken and dumplings, etc instead of the boring chicken strips and burgers. The atmosphere is fun too with the huge gift shop and old country store decor inside and outside. The rocking chairs and checkboard games are my favorite things! I know that is rumored to be changing and I hope they rethink that. The main problem here besides the higher prices is the service. It is so unpredictable and usually is very slow (food and waitstaff). Almost every server we have had at this location seems rushed and stressed and we have to wave them down for refills or sauce, etc. I have never once seen a manager helping out the servers with bussing, refills, or even checking on tables, which is very disappointing. I would give this store a 3.5 stars if I could but I guess we will round up to 4.

    Pork chop and green beans.

On a cool winter day....Good food. Just not what I wanted. They changed the menus. Got rid of the hickory ham or ham steaks and no chopped steaks any more. The pork-chops are breaded. I ordered them but wasnt expecting breading. Ehhhhhh. I scraped it off. Peach tea is good though. Wait staff was nice though.

I got my food to go. The service was good. The food itself was very disappointing. My mashed potatoes contained numerous black pieces which looked like fungus. Yuck!! The chicken was not tasty without the gravy and had a weird unpleasant texture. I used to enjoy CB, but will probably not be coming back for a long time. No longer a favorite.

Food is awesome. Comes pretty quick and hot. Had the chicken and dumplings and hash brown casserole with fried okra. Then on to fried apples. Yum. Jennifer was incredible. Johnny on the spot and always with a smile. Get on over here and stay for the food and service.

This Cracker Barrel happened to be located right next to the store I was working at this week. The Host, Tony, remembered my name by my second visit and what I wanted to order (hash brown casserole and a biscuit to-go). I loved him (Tony), he is one in a million - Cracker Barrel is lucky to have this gentleman. The staff inside the store were all so incredibly kind too. I ate there for lunch one day and the server, Venus was very sweet and attentive. I wasn't starving, so I ordered the pinto beans and corn and French toast latte. Everything was perfect! I highly recommend the latte, it's so good! I could have a Cracker Barrel biscuit with blackberry jam for breakfast every morning, it's so good.

They serve mimosas!!! There were a few flavor options but we stuck with classic

It's a place for comfort and the food is what's expected. Nothing amazing but will always be a place to go again and again. I prefer more local breakfast places but again this is a "know what to expect" place and that is comfort when needed. This visit was with my mom and she enjoyed the food as well. The staff were friendly and patient. Oh and not sure when it happened but they serve booze now so we had mimosas.

A glass with a sharp exposed edge.

The sausage was pretty killer, a tad spicy. The mushroom pasta had a tinge of lemony zest to it. Morels were deliciously panfried in butter. My favorite was the to go order for a third person though: pistachio Alfredo, a similar sauce to the wild mushroom pasta but a bit nuttier. Zero complaints with the food, and i look forward to the owners new location (pizza Lotties) that will be opening soon i hear. This place is dangerously close to five star perfection, if only it were not so crowded (locals know whats up) and it's also a bit loud. The open air kitchen is a nice touch but probably doesn't help with the noise. Imo good food for decent value and would be worth the wait (you can enter into the waitlist online which i will certainly do next time and probably opt for patio seating if possible) All in all very satisfied. This place has a cool menu that seems to evolve and explore the culinary arts. (I love that someone thought to make a sausage/pasta dish with Korean gochujang) I look forward to partaking in many future gourmand adventures here made possible made by such creative kitchen-bound artists

I had only been in town for about an hour when I found this restaurant on Yelp, conveniently located near my hotel. The full parking lot gave me hope; usually a great sign when looking for local gems. I walked in with my 11-year-old daughter and was greeted by a male host who let me know there would be a 30-minute wait due to short staffing. I noticed three vacant tables but understood the situation and agreed to wait. There was nowhere to sit inside, so I walked my daughter back to the truck. After 15 minutes, I saw another couple enter. A waitress immediately approached them and seated them at one of the vacant tables. I returned to the door and asked if something had changed. The same waitress told me again that they were short-staffed. I asked if the newly seated couple had reservations; she said they don't take reservations. So I asked plainly; why were we skipped? No clear answer. Just the same explanation repeated. Thankfully, the original male host returned, and I explained the situation. He apologized and seated us. But the issues didn't stop. We sat at our table for 10 more minutes without even being acknowledged, while guests seated after us were already receiving drinks. I had to stop a waitress and ask who our server was; it turned out to be the same young lady who had previously overlooked us. Despite all this, I chose to respond with kindness and good energy. Still, the experience weighed on my daughter. I could see it in her face; she wanted to leave. I had to encourage her to eat once the food arrived. She felt the mistreatment. I took it as a teaching moment and reminded her that while we can't control how others treat us, we can control how we respond. Being different in appearance doesn't mean we deserve different treatment. Our money is just as green. I've served this country during multiple military deployments, protecting freedoms abroad; only to return home and feel disrespected in a small American town. To the young lady: if you sat with me for five minutes, maybe you'd understand why treating others with dignity matters. To the host who stepped in and made it right; you are the reason I served. And to be clear: I left a generous tip--not for the service, but so there would be no misconceptions. I don't ask for handouts. I've worked my whole life to provide for my family. I simply expect respect in return.
