Cracker Barrel has to be the best restaurant chain to get "country-style" cooked meals for decent prices. Every location I have went to this far has been great, and this location is no exception. I personally usually go to Cracker Barrel on Sundays for their fried chicken special, but any day of the week is truly good for Cracker Barrel. Sometimes, I'll switch it up and get the meatloaf (which can be ordered any day of the week, or as cheaper lunch special with mashed potatoes on a specific day of the week I cannot recall at the moment.) However, fair note to people trying to watch their carbs: they DO have low-carb offerings here, and have a whole section if their menu catered to those looking for a low-carb meal. One would think that a restaurant that specialized in "country-style" cooking would not have a low-carb menu, but they do. Also, there is a disclaimer on their menu for true vegetarians that some of their vegetable offerings are made with meat, like their turnip greens being cooked and mixed with ham ("country-style" cooking.) Normally, I would give a good quality Cracker Barrel location a 4-star rating, but there is something about this specific location that pushed me to give it a 5-star rating. Usually during meal times, Cracker Barrel locations have a waiting list due to limited seating, but not this location. This location has about 5-10 more tables than most of the Cracker Barrel locations I have been. Smart planning! All and all, Cracker Barrel is a good restaurant chain, regardless of the location. Really enjoyed our lunch. We had the Friday fish fry special. Unlike a lot of places where you get 'the special' the catfish was really good here. It wasn't cooked ahead nor over cooked. The waitress we had was very efficient and really nice. We also had the sweet tea. If you are looking for good 'southern' sweet tea they have it! The restrooms were very clean and for those who need it the handicap restroom was very large. We will certainly stop here again when we are in the area. read more

They kicked our group of 25 (we were going to sit separately) out after an hour of waiting to be seated because some of us didn't have masks over our noses and one didn't have a mask on because of health issues. They never asked us to pull them over our noses. At one point they offered masks to two of the group that didn't have masks and when they received them they had stuff all over them and were filthy. Never go wrong at a Cracker Barrel. I always get the uncle Herschel but this time went with the 2 pork chop dinner. Was really good. Had a side of fried apples and mashed potatoes and was a nice meal. Chops were perfectly cooked so not dried out. Mashed potatoes were like home made and the fried apples are one of my favorite things on the menu. 8 of us meet every Christmas Eve for brunch. All of us are excited to see each other and share in holiday spirit. It's too bad all of the employees are so ready for customers to be gone, I really don't blame them, that the silverware was filthy and the second set they brought out for all 8 of us was just as dirty, that they tried to rush us out of there an hour before they were supposed to close. The food was mediocre and warm not hot. Dirty silverware is my main gripe. Someone wraps three pieces of utensils in a paper napkin and then secures it. I cannot believe that person can't see dirty, spotty forks, knives and spoons. Made me wonder about the rest of the dishes. This restaurant is busy but that's no excuse. I visited this Cracker Barrel on a Friday night with some family around 8 pm. Of course I had to order the Friday Fish Fry. The service was good but when the food arrived it looked like they had served what was in the bottom of the pot to everyone. I have been to many Cracker Barrels and have had excellent service and food but this location was not even close to others I have visited. One of us had ordered grits on the side and received a Fry and dumplings in the bowl of grits. Another one of us ordered green beans on the side and got hard pieces all in it. My plate was full of burnt fish pieces at the bottom. Not sure if it was the time of night or the cook was having a bad day, but this was definitely not the best I have had at Cracker Barrel restaurants. read more

Terrible experience last night for dinner. The server was not helpful at all and I don't think he knows the words, l'm sorry or what can I do to make this right. My husband let him know the mashed potatoes weren't done. The guy turned around and left. We were through with our meal and discussing deser choices. Next thing we knew, he came back and put a small bowl of potatoes and gravy on the table without a word. We did not get desert and we probably will not be back. Very rude and strange. Order was not right. We ordered two meals. Both wrong. Staff today had low moral you could tell. Host was in a bad mood and complaining about people. Host also called us to be seated and then she ignored us and help other people. I asked for my check and we waited 20 mins just to be able to cash out. Bad food bad service. Good Southern comfort food. Eaten here for breakfast & lunch for years as my grandmother loves it (and she's Southern!) Never had a bad experience. Food comes out quickly, always consistent, friendly staff. It's always busy here so sometimes you may have to wait on your server but that's ok. You can shop around in the gift store while waiting on a table. They also sell Woodwick candles. They have different daily specials too. read more

They were so kind and made sure that we were enjoying our food without being to excessive. And of course you have to wear a mask until you sit down and when you leave but that shouldn't ever a big problom. And they will made sure you arnt sitting close to anyone for social distancing. Well.. Disappointed to say the least and I have eaten at over 10 locations!! 1) When we arrived at our table it was DIRtY! They made us stand there while being cleaned. Only after they called out names and said oop we don't actually have a table for you. 2) my daughters food was cold and hard! 3) my coffee was never refilled or offered. Waited for her to come by and ask or to even flag her down.. She was mia. 4) my grits were cold and had a hard coating. Couldn't eat. My eggs tasted awful. I love Cracker Barrel and the old country store! I grew up in the South and this is one of the places I miss the most. Fortunately I visit at least once a year and make time for at least one breakfast here. My most recent visit was just a few weeks ago and, as always, I wasn't disappointed. I usually get Grandpa's Country Fried Breakfast - 2 eggs, grits, homemade buttermilk biscuits, gravy, hashbrown casserole (or you can have fried apples), and chicken fried chicken (or you can have country fried steak). Yes, it is enough food to feed a family of 4 but for me it's a once a year treat that I can't pass up! If you go when it's not busy, then make sure you give yourself time to peruse the old country store after you eat. If it's busy then peruse the store while you're waiting for your table. There are lots of great "find." Everyone is ALWAYS friendly but this is a Southern chain so I wouldn't expect anything less. read more

Not starting out good. Food was lukewarm. Had to ask for hot food... lets see if I get a new plate or my food heated up in a microwave. Service is slow... had to ask for tea several times. Pretty good memories here. Young and old. This place is a nostalgic restaurant for me. Every time I come here it reminds me of the first time as a kid. Sitting on the rocking chairs and playing with the toys. The food brings it back too. A lot of southern comfort food going on here. Chicken dumplings and waffles with grVy and corn biscuit. Side of bacon with 2 eggs sunny side up. That will fill you up in a way you never have been. You may fall asleep in you chair. This place has a the Yum factor. We came here with our 87 year old grandma. She loves it too. She always gets the chicken pot pie with sweet tea. So funny. Service and staff are really friendly too. If there was negative star I would select it, the worst cracker barrel ever. We love cracker barrel and we have standard meal we like and each time we order the same thing. This time it was the same thing only by menu but it arrived almost cold, chicken had a weird taste, mac n cheese burned out, portions were small which is strange for this place, sides were even smaller. This is the first time we left cracker barrel feeling hungry, service wasn't far from horrible either.... So if you are in Springdale avoid this one by miles radius. Absolutely hands down the worst experience I've ever had at a Cracker Barrel. Yesterday around 4pm after a very long doctors appointment at children's hospital in Springdale I thought comfort food would do good for my son who wasn't well. Big mistake!! I ordered the sampler because I couldn't decide and leftovers never hurt. First off they brought some biscuits for the table that were rock hard (couldn't even tear them apart. When my plate arrived the meatloaf was gray like really gray and the waitress said it was because it was an end piece but I can tell you meatloaf should never be gray. It also lacked any topping and was just wrong. The mashed potatoes, dumplings, Mac n cheese, ham and green beans were all cold. The one time the waitress came back and noticed that I wasn't eating the meatloaf she finally brought another piece which was raw. My son ordered the chicken and dumplings dinner and it was cold as well as were all his sides and he didn't eat his food either. About 4 bites into my food I got so nauseated and sick we just got a check and left. I didn't even feel well enough to talk to a manager I just wanted out of there so we paid and left and won't return. I've always counted on Cracker Barrel because they're very consistent and good everywhere I've ever eaten at but not yesterday and never there again. We decided to stop for lunch on Sunday 7/14. We arrived at 11:30 and waited about 10 minutes. Not bad for a Sunday. Our server came out and took both our drink order as well as our food order. It was 20 minutes before we saw the drinks and only received 2 of the 3 drinks ordered. She said she would be right back. That right back took another 15 minutes. All over servers were visible but she would disappear and could not be found. Finally after 45 minutes our order arrived and the only think correct was the French toast. We didn't receive correct vegetables and turnip greens had white gravy in it. We waited and waited. Finally I got up to see the manager. He frowned and about 10 minutes later he had the server come see us. We asked for drink refills at that tube as well. She left and was not to b seen again until the bill. Another server got us drink refills. Our missing vegetables were never fixed. We never got biscuits even though I requested again. As I was paying the cashier asked I would like to leave a tip. I said absolutely not and told her it was the worst service and food I had ever obtained at a Cracker Barrel chain. She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager again and I said I did but he never checked to see if it was corrected. Another couple had the same issue. The breakfast is pretty overall good for a restaurant chain. I find the bacon bland and not cooked well. The smoked sausage is good though. Biscuits are ok. The cream gravy is good. Eggs can be a bit runnier than ordered. My problem is their lack of choices for people with allergies or diabetes. We tried to get the low carb alternative, but they no longer offer it. They were glad to charge us for the things my wife and dad couldn't eat and just not serve it to them allowing them to resell it to someone else. read more

Normally I love Cracker Barrel for breakfast. However, at this location for this visit the service was so terrible that we almost walked out. The wait was atrocious, ok it was a sunday. I've never complained about the food or the service at any restaurant. Today both were terrible. Our water came with very, very little ice. The fried chicken was so crispy I couldn't eat it. It actually looked burned. We asked the waitress about it, when she finally came back to our table. She said it was always cooked like that, even though we saw a plate carried to another table that looked delicious. Our waitress never brought a refill on our water, even though she said she would be right back with it. We waited a full ten minutes to get her attention to get a to go box to bring the chicken home to our grandson's dog. Never again. read more
