Premium Side of 2 pancakes for my platter
    Jake S.

Stopped by cracker barrel for the first time in a long time. Great host, didnt have to wait at all and he was cleaning tables in his down time. Server was a lil discombobulated. We got our order in and food came out decently quickly for a busy Thursday am shift. Got a 3 egg platter that came with 2 sides and meat. I upgraded and got 2 pancakes and a side of their loaded tots. I wish there was some kind of sauce on the tots like ranch or sour cream or something. I did get a side of sugar free syrup which was served cold. The pork sausage I got was definitely a different texture than I was expecting and I actually thought it was a meat free option but didnt see server to ask. My eggs were overcooked and they were plated on the same plate as the sausage so maybe I just got the wrong plate. Kevin got a platter with a basket of biscuits and gravy. The gravy is sawmill so beware of the flour-forward flavor profile. His platter was country fried steak, cheesy potatoes, and 2 eggs. His favorite was definitely the cheesy potatoes. We got 2 strawberry mimosas and those were fruity and delicious! Highly recommend! Overall I was super excited for the biscuits and cornbread that I remember from the last times but I cant say I would recommend the biscuits given to us. Overall, we will definitely not be back after spending 65$, leaving full from mid food, and not really taken care of. Jake n kev

The hash brown on the plate doesn't look like it has cheddar cheese in it

Our waitress was great, which is always a plus. I ordered my favorite Momma's French toast breakfast with a side of hash browns casserole. I was a little disappointed because the casserole did not look like it had cheese in it, but you tell me? But the when I asked the waitress, she said that's what is keeping it together. She shared with the manager and the brought me more, but it looked similar. I appreciate the correction. I guess I'm just used to more cheese, and a specific look

After a busy morning, my wife and I decided to stop at Cracker Barrel for a meal. While they're known for having the absolute best pancakes--with their crispy, golden edges and delicious house-made maple syrup--this time we opted for lunch. I had the country fried chicken, which came with four juicy, perfectly cooked pieces of buttermilk-fried chicken. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the seasoning was spot on--not too salty, just perfectly balanced. You could tell they put care into the preparation, possibly using a brine or a double dredge, which gave the chicken an irresistible crunch. For my sides, I chose the pinto beans with meat and gravy, which were rich and flavorful, and the country string beans that were simply out of this world. As someone who loves biscuits, I opted for those over cornbread, and they didn't disappoint. Soft, flaky, and melt-in-your-mouth good, the biscuits reminded me of the homemade drop biscuits my great aunt used to make in the South. My wife ordered the trout with string beans and broccoli. The fish was well-seasoned, and the cornbread she had on the side was just as delicious as the rest of the meal. For both of us, the lunch was just as satisfying as their renowned breakfast offerings. We also tried the plum mimosas, which were the perfect fall drink--light, refreshing, and just a touch of sweetness. While they do serve some alcohol, it's not a full bar, but the drink was a great addition to the meal. Overall, Cracker Barrel serves up some seriously good, comforting Southern food that hits all the right notes. Whether breakfast or lunch, the experience never disappoints. Oh the customer service is great , the store is always packed with people and the little trinkets they sale . From old school candy to novelty items like the is cool Harry Potter mug , scented candles etc they have a bit of everything, oh and you can buy there pancake and biscuit mix for home.

Stopped in while visiting my dad. Was greeted and sat down right away. Placed order for drinks and then placed order for food. Tried something new today. Steak, egg whites and cheese hashbrown casserole. Everything was cooked perfectly. Staff was very attentive and continued to check in to see if needed anything. Place was well maintained and clean. Store had a bunch of things to look at that will tempt you into buying.

We had dinner on a Saturday evening around 5:30pm. It was a little wait for service but, they continued communicating with us. Mrs. Sharon was our waitress and she was super. She communicated with us the entire time of our stay. Recommend Specials they were having. I'm not a catfish lover (bottom feeder) but, she recommended it and I tried it. It was fried correctly, very flavorful with a nice crust. I had sweet tea (bottomless) and the wife had half & half. Both were on point. The establishment was clean and everyone was polite and friendly. WE WILL Return!!! U gotta get the biscuits, you just gotta!!!!!

Who doesn't love Cracker Barrel?? The pecan pancakes!! Chicken sausage was a little spicy bit good. My daughters both are off the kids menu and enjoyed! Service was great, we never have a issue with that. I love walking through the store as we always find treasures! Christmas is out already!

My friend and I was in the area and visited this location. Honestly, after reading the reviews I was reluctant to come but it was the closest location to where were staying. We didn't have to wait when we arrived. We were seated but had to ask the staff to wipe down the seats that weren't fully cleaned. The staff were very pleasant and professional during our visit. It was crowded for an early Saturday morning. I haven't been to a cracker barrel in years and was excited to eat. I eventually settled on the grandma sampler which was Two Pancakes, two eggs, turkey sausages with Fried Apples and 100% Pure Natural Syrup. I also ordered a side of grits and ate every last thing on my plate. The food was absolutely delicious. OMG, I forgot how amazing their syrup was and would've purchased some in their store but their power went out towards the end of us eating. It was unexpectant but the staff handled it very well and checked in with their customers. The customers continued eating and used their phones for light when needed. We had to use the old school credit card machines to pay because we didn't have exact cash. When we left, we noticed there was a power outage in the entire area because the traffic lights were out and highway patrol was directing traffic. I would definitely return to this location and enjoy some other menu items.

Decent. Not special. Unlikely to make my regular rotation…read more I drove past this place going back to forth to work and on the outside it looked like a nice establishment. Today I finally visited and was a bit disappointed to see the underwhelming interior where it is strictly carry out and cheap metal guest chairs to wait on while the food is prepared. But it's really about the food right?! Meh. It was very hit and miss. I ordered the (4) sliders with grilled onions. They were slightly charred which was nice, and they were juicy, but they could have been cooked a little more (they were like medium to medium well and I prefer well done - I should note they didn't ask how I preferred my burgers cooked). I also ordered their jumbo fried wings and picked sweet and sassy sauce. The sauce was tasty and the wings had a nice texture, but beyond the sauce the wings had a plain flavor suggesting they didn't season the wings before frying and then coating them with sauce. Overall the food was solid but not awe inspiring. I was less impressed with their cakes. I ordered a strawberry slice and a carrot cake. The carrot cake was moist and wasn't bad at all. I've had much better, but it was edible and satisfied my sweet tooth for the day. The strawberry cake however was dry and grainy. Perhaps it was old. It was definitely a waste of $7.99! On the plus side the employee was friendly and nice, so there's that!

The steak and cheese featured soggy bread with a side of limp lukewarm fries, and the jerk chicken was a poor imitation of jerk flavor, as the best word I could use to describe it was lifeless. On the bright side, the employee was friendly and the food was ready on time, so at least there was that. Unfortunately, this was a total miss so my first time will also be my last time.

So my fiance tells me to get dressed and let's go get some good food. The ambiance was lovely. I do love having a reason to dress nice and it felt romantic. Even in a room with other tables and people, it wasn't overly crowded. It was extra nice to have our server take notice of the effort I put in. I wish I knew her name because I would absolutely share and recommend her 100%. She, plus the food, really cheered me up that day and that's kind of rare. It's rare to go somewhere new and fully have your spirits lifted. We tried the crab balls, the surf and turf with steak, added scallops and some sides. It was so good. The seafood, the steak, everything was cooked to perfection. It was very filling too. I think my favorite side was the rice. I did like the macaroni but I was unexpectedly blown away by the rice. I cannot wait to go back and share the experience with my daughter. I was eyeing the lamb and from how tender the steak turned out, I will definitely order the lamb next time.

When we arrived, the hostess flat-out denied ever receiving it, then casually assumed we'd "be there in a few minutes" -- as if she knew exactly who we were and what had happened. That's not a system glitch, that's negligence. What made it so much worse? Not a single apology. Instead, we were met with outright rudeness from the staff. And the food? Horrible. Not "disappointing" -- genuinely bad. To top it off, the restaurant has a noticeable unpleasant odor that made it impossible to enjoy even being inside. This place has had every opportunity to make things right and has failed spectacularly each time. The staff is rude, disorganized, and completely indifferent to customer experience. The vibe here is of a casual diner, with an expansive menu that changes often with the seasons and local eats. I came here after visiting a friend out in the Waldorf area and decided to grab take-out before heading back into DC. I will admit I almost did not stop here because it was near closing time and I hate order from place near closing. I got here near closing and the food was just as fresh as if it was opening time. We all know how it is getting somewhere to eat near closing time.... You tend to get subpar service and food. You subject to getting a scraps, bad orders, guilty eye rolls from your server, "ain't got this, "ain't got that," issues....lol. But, this was not the case at this Silver Diner. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Our bartender/server was Cameron C. and he did an amazing job serving us and making us feel welcomed. He's truly a people person. He kept the drinks on point while we waited for our food and made sure our orders were prepared exactly how we requested. During this visit, I tried the Short Rib Burger, Loaded Fries as a side & Buffalo Wings. Everything was delicious and fresh. And, the burger was the star!...A juicy 1/2lb burger pattie cooked to perfection....topped with bacon & tender braised short rib!! It was complete meat overload, super fresh and sooooo good! For anyone that is "meataholic" like myself...you gotta try this thing. My wings and the loaded fries complemented my dish well too. Not to mention, everything was packed well for the long haul and drive back to DC....of course, I couldn't resist and snuck in a few bites of the fries at each stop light heading back down Route 5. Let's just call it a #qualitycheck! lol ;-) In all, I enjoyed my visit. This location gets two thumbs up in my book. I'l definitely visit this SD again if I am ever in this neck of the woods hungry and in need. * Yelp Elite Tip & Honorable Mention: Sign up for their "Eat Well Do Well" Rewards Program. Food-wise, everything came out hot and full of flavor. You know that moment when a plate hits the table and you can already tell it is about to be good? That. Whether it was the seasoning, the portions, or just the overall freshness, it did not feel like anything was rushed or phoned in. And let me give you a real tip--always ask for a bigger table. I add peppers, provolone and mayo and an extra side of tzatziki (labeled garlic cucumber on the menu), and oil and vinegar (which tastes like Italian dressing, but who's counting?). The bread is phenomenal. I may literally just order a sub roll with no ingredients one day, just so I can eat it toasted with butter, with every meal I have. It's soft and fluffy, crispy and chewy all at the same time. (It almost gives bagel, but not tough). I also got the y cheesecake. I cannot stress, the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! As for service, the entire team is so friendly and helpful. They kid around, make silly jokes and make sure your order is prepared fresh and fast. It isn't "fast food fast", but also doesn't taste like shit either, so the wait is worth it. At most 10-15 min if you don't call ahead. As for seating, in winter there are only two two-tops so seating is extremely limited. It is mostly a deli-and-get-outta-here kind of place, but nonetheless welcoming and charming.
