Last time we came they didn't have any and back in Indiana they ALWAYS had some. I would grab 4 because they are THAT good! So ya they didn't have any the last time and I was SO bummed thinking for some reason they didn't sell the in Florida This time... I FOUND ONE! So I went to the register and explained the whole deal. She says "why didn't you grab more" I said "there was only one". She was SO nice. Her and 2 other woman were like "let's check is the more" there were 18 in the back. I got 3 more! HOW NICE OF THEM!! Gosh no wonder Cracker Barrel has been around forever. They do not disappoint. They have great customer service. They have great biscuits. I must say the changed their corn bread recipe. So it's not my fave anymore. We came back for the campfire beef. We love this. It's wrapped in a huge aluminum foil and filled with potato, beef, tomato, onion, corn. All the moisture is inside and the flavor is so good. It's like a personal pot roast. They have a campfire chicken but we just get this one which is seasonal and annual, it came back last year and this year but took a while to come back before then. We decided to hit the old Cracker Barrel as we felt you can't go wrong there. Well, the store was definitely not a disappointment with the beautiful Christmas decorations and so much more. They always have great smelling candles and lots of goodies. Sorry, no pictures. I was with my grandson so I was way too busy watching his reaction to the store. At almost 2 years old it's so fun to see the world through his eyes. I had the pot roast, which was vey tender and tasty. I also ordered a pancake cause no one beats their pancakes. We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere! I have one complaint, the hash brown casserole just was not the same! No cheese really or onions, it was simply blah. Was in the area and decided to eat here. It was extremely crowded but were seated right away. I decided on breakfast for lunch and chose the Cracker Barrel's country boy breakfast. The sides I chose were fried spokes and well done hash browns. The hash browns were done very crispy how I like. I've always loved Cracker Barrel! It has such a cute atmosphere and adorable knickknacks to buy. I haven't been in a while but today I went with my boyfriend. Our server Addi was so sweet! Called us baby and darling throughout the whole stay. We had already ordered when she informed us that the kitchen had run out of one of our sides. Came in on a Sunday afternoon, we waited about 25 mins for a table and our server looked like she had been extremely busy but was pleasant and attentive. I had the delicious Stuffed Cheesecake Pancake Breakfast: Buttermilk pancakes stuffed with cheesecake filling topped with fruit and powdered sugar and Strawberry Syrup. Definitely filling but I just love cheesecake with pancakes and strawberries all together. Also came with eggs and bacon or sausage. It's a great deal. Didn't have high expectations, but had a craving for fried chicken served in a restaurant, not Popeyes or KFC. The fried chicken took longer than expected so the manager came over and offered us an appetizer for the wait. That was nice. The waitress was also very friendly and attentive. However, the fried chicken wasn't the best. Way too salty. Don't get me wrong, I like my fried chicken seasoned, but this had way too much salt. Went to Cracker Barrel today in Wesley Chapel by the Groves and was seated at a table that had to be cleaned. Then noticed under the table was filthy with food and trash. Ordered my food and when it arrived it was barely room temperature. Sent my food back twice before it was somewhat warm. The general manager Tara never came to the table to apologize. Only when we were paying did she come to the register. Now I'm on my way to the ER for diarrhea and throwing up plus chest pain. read more

What I noted was the menu has changed a fair amount, Pricing is way up, Portions are far smaller, Food quality is still just okay as it was before, Service has fallen way off... Personally I don't care if they paint the walls purple W/ pink stripes or what the logo on the sign is. I can go to a locally owned restaurant and get far better food & service for less cost. The only thing I can say is Cracker Barrel has outstanding wait staff. I visited on a Friday evening expecting somewhat of a wait however the restaurant was nearly empty and the food took over 30 minutes to reach our table. The only saving grace was our waitress she was so pleasant and did everything she could to make sure we had and enjoyable dinner. She came back to our table throughout our wait for the food. Visited this relatively new location of this southern chain restaurant for lunch. The food and service were very good. I have been to many of their locations and the food is consistent. I had the chief salad with biscuits and an ice tea. It is a large salad topped with plenty of ham, turkey, cheese, bacon , eggs, croutons and tomato's. They have a large menu consisting of many breakfast, lunch and dinner items all day long. My other go to for late breakfast or lunch is the Country Boy breakfast. My wife loves their Mama's French toast. Some other good entrees are the fried chicken, fried shrimp, meatloaf and chicken & dumplings. Also don't forget the complementary biscuits. There is their standard country store when you first walk in. The place was stocked with many items as well as candy and snacks. Their is plenty of parking for cars, trucks and RVs. read more

If you're placing an online or mobile order, expect to wait an extra 15-20 minutes after the projected pickup time. Even after food was placed in the mobile order section, the staff didn't alert me that my order was ready, so I waited an extra 5 minutes on top of that trying to identify if the food placed behind the checkout counter was mine or not. read more

NEVER HAVE I EVER been to a Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Well now I have. I went at an off time and that kind of made it weird. I surely like that kind of decor, but it seemed a little grubby. My table was clean, but I just got a kind of icky feeling. Uncharacteristically, I ordered the house cheeseburger. I just wasn't in the mood for meatloaf & potatoes type of meal. However, I was delighted to find out how tasty it was! So kudos to the kitchen manager! Who would have thought that a home-cooked place like this would have a fantastic burger? The store, now that was hopping. Really really darling over priced goods. Everything seemed to work like a well oiled machine with all the staff. Very well trained. Long wait from the church crowd. Ordered steak and eggs and got a blue (raw) steak- gross . Had to send back manager credited it off bill - what I assume is that everything came rushed from the kitchen because of the year amount of people from the church crowd. I also had to send back my hash brown casserole because it was not very hot or crispy somewhat mushy. I have been to Cracker Barrel in Georgia and it was much better than this location. Finally, After 15 years of recommendations, I finally ate at a Cracker Barrel! I'll say to start off, it was the first, but.. it will not be the last! As soon as I walked in after our party was called I realized, this is not just a store, it's an experience, complete with this lovely convenience store out front, and the walls jam-packed with homage to events of the past (respectfully of course). When we got to our table, we did have to ask what was good (but I'd already yelped it as well) and we were ready to go! First and foremost, know that though they say their are two types of gravy (one with chicken, one with beef broth) their are three (they have a vegetarian one as well, but it's limited supply). I got the chicken fried chicken, which you can get three sides with (three sides and full disclosure this is enough for a meal there, and a meal to go) with me getting mashed potatoes (of course) hash brown casserole, and to be healthy, I got the vegetable platter (still great). Two of the items came with gravy, and I'm now a chicken gravy man, so I'm going to go with this from now on. When it came to the check, my eyes did bug out as I thought, after all we ordered, we would be in the 30-40 dollar range, we spent less than 21, for both our meals, and... we had enough that the next day we had more for another meal (for each of us) can't beat that! I ran in to use the restroom and walked out with so many Christmas presents! I know, it's May-but yay! Like every Cracker Barrel store, you have to take several laps to see all the fun stuff-and I wish they had a wee bit more room, since there are always more people milling around in there than you think. But those are observations, not complaints. I always have a good time shopping at CB! Sometime, I'll have to try the food. There's tons of parking here and the staff was super friendly. If you spent any time traveling here throughout the southeast, I am sure in your travels that you came across a Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. I much prefer the general store part of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store than the actual restaurant part. They have some cool items there. Like most places, some items have decent prices and some things are overpriced. I guess it is all a matter of opinion what something is worth. As for the restaurant, I usually prefer a local mom-and-pop option over a chain restaurant like this. It is not that the food is bad here, but Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, like most chain restaurants, is more concerned about creating a consistent experience more than giving a great culinary experience. Out of the meal options, I think their breakfast options are their best bets. If you are familiar with Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, you know what to expect when you come in here. If you are unfamiliar with this particular brand, it is not bad food, but it is a national chain and they are striving more for then blowing you away with an incredible dining experience. read more

Cracker Barrel has become one of my fav's for breakfast and I was happy to have breakfast here with my daughter and favorite little munchkin! I have a go to- the bacon and egg hashbrown casserole and my daughter's favorite thing seems to be ordering a bunch of sides! She went for biscuits and gravy, 2 scrambled eggs and a side of hashbrown casserole. Food was out super fast, which is normal for Cracker Barrel unless you are eating on a Saturday or Sunday during the rush. Thanksgiving Dinner. Three years in a row we have done individual Turkey dinner meals from CB. Their routine is perfect / order on line, pay, go pick up, stay in car. The food was hot, plentiful and delicious. Everything was included, butter, rolls, utensils . We added a country veggie plate with all mashed potatoes to take care of a side wanted by some. we stopped at this location yesterday for a decent dinner. Cracker Barrel is an average place to eat with usually good food and service. this location was neither. the server was not happy to be there. she was grumpy and abrupt. she made us feel unwelcome to say the least. my Chicken tenders were dry, barely warm and tasted as if they had been sitting around for a long time. French fries were barely warm and lacked any taste. this pretty much applied to all items we received. My wife's had the chicken and dumplings, which are usually very good, but were poor quality and extremely salty. her greens were bland and did not taste very good. My water was never refilled once the server took our order. it took a few reminders for her to provide all,of the items we ordered. and each time, she had an attitude. my water was never refilled. I had to stand by the server entrance to the kitchen to get another server to get my check. the cashier was told that both the food and service was mediocre at best. a gentlemen walked over and said they were sorry and they have had similar complaints, so apparently they don't really care. I am very disappointed in this restaurant. it appears to get worse each time we go. they are constantly out of food, staples. we used to go on Thursday nights and they were always out of a lot of food. we were told that it was because their truck only comes once a week on Friday. we stopped coming on Thursdays. well this week we went on Friday, guess what out of a lot of stuff again, chicken dumpling soup, green beans, no chicken for chicken and dumplings. biscuits were burnt. I asked for a large drink to go and was told they couldn't do that per management! really? my husband and I eat and Cracker Barrel at least one a week. we have continued to see service decline. the employees are frustrated because of having to constantly tell customers they are out of food. the general manager left and seems to just get worse. I am not sure what needs to happen but you will lose regular customers if something doesn't change. read more

Sadly, Covid fears have ended the long-standing tradition of playing the colorful, germ-laden wooden peg board table game while awaiting an entree:( I used to eat here often; my mum (who died in mid September) loved this restaurant. I've always been a fan of its gift shoppe-- especially a fan of its nostalgic candy from my childhood. However, many of those candy offerings have been removed. (I noticed this @ two other CB locations as well.) The shoppe merchandise changes quickly, & holiday merchandise is a biggie here. There are also food & beverage displays, family clothing, fashion jewelry (forget higher quality items), children's toys, lots of candy, Cracker Barrell food items (i.e. boxed pancake mixes, syrups, cobbler & biscuit mixes, etc), music CD's, & a clearance rack that's to the front far right once you enter from outside. Savings are often 50% to 70%. Cracker Barrel always seems to have its table wait list down to a science. Walk in, get greeted at the door (100% of the time), & immediately walk to the back left corner to get on the list. The wait is seldom long, especially since Covid hit the area last March. (Pasco County has a large elderly population, & CB is very popular w/ the older crowd that is more likely to remain home.) However, sitting & waiting in the patio rocking chairs is a common sight during busy hours. The menu is now limited, but the waitress explained that after the holidays it will expand again. Breakfast is served all day, as are the tradition lunch & dinner offerings. With each order, you'll get biscuits &/or muffin-shaped cornbread. Still on the menu is the meatloaf, fried chicken, country ham, chicken pot pie, fried shrimp, pancakes, fried chicken tenders, grilled steak, chicken salad, & more; however, it's currently a much more limited menu. The breakfast, lunch, & dinner entrees are often accompanied by two side items. I'm a big fan of the turnip greens & baby carrots; however, corn, fried apples, masked potatoes w/ gravy, steak fries, hashbrown casserole, mac & cheese, dumplings, cabbage, brocolli, lima beans, pinto beans, country green beans, fried okra, fresh fruit, side salad, & coleslaw are also available (when the menu isn't limited). Kids meals, Family meals, Daily specials & often Breakfast specials are offered, although w/ the current limited menu the choice are more limited. Dine-In, To Go, Curbside, Delivery, & Catering options are available. Service is generally very good; however, we've encounted a few subpar wait staffers (who apparently didn't last long). Request a bag for leftovers & a To Go beverage refill; wait staff seldom seems to offer the convenience. You'll receive your bill @ the table & then proceed to the register line in the gift shop. (It almost always moves very quickly.) NOTE: If you can't find what you want in the gift shop, check out the Cracker Barrel website online. Whatever is sold in the restaurant can be found on the website. In every place I have traveled in the great state of Florida, one chain restaurant that is always consistent is Cracker Barrel. From their store front staff to the hostess and every waitstaff I've ever encountered has been pleasant and delightful. Dillon was my server and he was fantastic with a great attitude and demeanor. I had the meatloaf with fried apples, corn and hash brown casserole and the wife had her favorite, the country fried steak with mash potatoes and veggies. The food is always great and tasty. Cracker Barrel never disappoints. Employees are all wearing mask, all tables were occupied there was no social distancing with seating arrangements as of 3/22. The wait time was 20 minutes for a Party of 6. The food came out pretty quick too, I'll say less than 12 minutes. Came here for brunch today. Loved that I was able to get on the waitlist online before arriving which by doing so we only had to wait 15 minutes for our table. My hubs and I are on keto so we skipped their yummy biscuits today :(. But the Rainbow Talipia was so good. Melt in your mouth good. Terrance needs to be coached, reprimanded, and disciplined for approaching a simple matter of an error in an order in a condescending and discriminatory manner. Instead of showing sympathy and understanding for a missing side dish (my request was for the difference of price refund which was around a dollar), he proceeded to ask why I called back so late, why I was eating the food late, grilling me and claiming he was acting in this way because how could he be sure his team was wrong? Is it really worth souring a customer experience over accusatory tones? Would someone really waste time over a dollar? Wouldn't I be asking for a full refund if I was trying to get a free meal? I will call management and see what they do, but not sure how this guy was left in charge, you'd think he'd never spoken or dealt with customers a day in his life. Will update my review accordingly, but this is based on my "interaction / interrogation" with Terrance. Please teach this gentleman some manners and business etiquette. Will not be returning if I'm going to be given the 5th degree and treated like a criminal. Terrance, you just lost your restaurant a customer. Way to go man! read more
