We ate at Village Inn in Zephyrhills on March 12, 2025, at 5:00 PM, and I wish we had left the moment we walked in. Roach droppings were on our seat and table--a clear sign of an infestation. The kitchen smelled absolutely rancid, and when the door opened, we could see how filthy it was. To top it off, people were allowing their dogs to run around inside the restaurant. This is a major health code violation and completely unacceptable. When we complained to the manager, he literally said he didn't care. We haven't been in a very long time. My husband used to work there. But I saw free kids meals on Tuesdays with adult entree. They've changed the atmosphere and the ownership, new to us management. Our server has only been working there 4 days, but was excellent! No complaints on food. It was excellent and filling, clean plates, clean tables. My steak was over cooked and nowhere near rare, it was nearly well done. Far too little dressing for the salad. The actual server I had was good but I was there a good ten minutes and I was watching a runner maybe handle other tables, get drinks etc and I was never even acknowledged. A few years ago, I ate here all the time as the service was excellent, food was very flavorful, and the basic restaurant made you feel like you were at home. However, I recently visited the Village Inn and was very disappointed. The server was not very personable. He made suggestions, but when I made my request, he said, "We're out of that. This place used to do awesome pies. The pies we got for Thanksgiving were awful. They were limp shadows of what they used to be. Carefully took a lemon meringue out of the box and part of the crust fell off. Tried to put it back and more of it fell off. First off I took my family here for lunch after church this past Sunday June 2nd. The first thing i noticed while being seated was a german roach on the wall, so my mom told the lady and she came a killed it with a dish towel that u wipe the tables and stuff down with. That was disgusting. Another thing my son went to the restroom and a roach was in there also. So this tells me they have roaches probably everywhere. We won't be back here again. This is the only Village Inn location in East Pasco. We cane today to enjoy a nice Easter breakfast outing before the day's festivities get started. When we pulled in the place was slammed. Upon entering the establishment, we waited just a few minutes before being sat at a table right next to the kitchen and small walkway between the table and cashier station. Constantly having people and staff bump into our table and butts in our faces. Yes butts so many butts. The server came quickly for our drink orders of 2 lemonades and 2 coffees. It took quite awhile to get the drinks. Then, the server took our food order of two kids' cheeseburgers with fries and two VIB breakfasts with two eggs, two bacon, golden hash browns, and toast. (Wish I took a picture of the food when it arrived but distracted by the butts After another long wait understanding as it was extremely busy, our food arrived with the plates so hot the server could not touch them as they sat under the heat lamp for a long time. We could see the food sitting in the kitchen since we were seated so close. Our hash browns were burnt black in the outside but not cooked on the inside, the eggs were cooked perfectly as well as the toast and bacon. The kids' cheeseburger were so dry and seemed old that my kids couldn't eat them like old jerky with cheese. This was the last time we saw our server as she never came back to check inn us or refill our drinks. This experience cost us about $40. We will not be coming back at all. So sad as we usually live Village Inn. I would rather drive to Wesley chapel and go to great food. read more

These servers could be your children or grandchildren would u leave your daughter or son a $1.00 on a $30 bill if u could- then stay home they can fill the seats with people who do tip. Folks with children - clean up after the little darlings I've seen tables that bus people have to wipe walls - floors - windows etc. if not tip 50% for the extra time it takes to turn that table over and teach them manners. Tip breakdown 8% of the bill needs to be declared for the feds so that leaves 7% for take home on a 15% not much. If u tip in 15% leave cash if you can. Also, they need to tip out the bus people too.These are all hardworking people. Because I often ask specific request from the cooks I throw them a tip at times. They r making peanuts here in Florida. January 28 2023- Breakfast , the food was slow in coming out and not well cooked. I ordered two eggs and an english muffin with hash browns. Eggs and muffin were fine.Hash browns were barely cooked, being cool and still raw inside. The server quickly replaced them with country fries(little cubed potatoes) Although they were well done they had obviously been waiting under a heat lamp. My son had eggs,corned beef hash, toast which was not toasted. He also ordered a side of sausage links, which he did not receive until we were ready to leave and after he had brought it to the servers attention. The most appalling part of the experience was the price of what we received, my Breakfast was a hearty $11.75 and coffee $6.50 . Our total bill was $36.00. This type of restaurant has some good qualities that you'd expect from the typical classic American style restaurant. It is kept clean and we had no wait on seating . The baked pies is what you see first behind the glass case . They have so many different pies to choose from . The key lime pie & coconut cream stood out as well as the lemon custard. Ordered a cup of Joe that came fresh , with a smooth taste , it was hot and included my own small pot to refresh my coffee without a wait. I think that's really awesome and considerate. They did have several creamer options which I liked . Today I tried an ultimate skillet , that was filled with eggs, potatoes, bell peppers and three types of meat . The meal included a side of pancakes . The whole meal was very filling and shareable as well . Above average quality food with fast friendly customer service . Today March 17th 2021 at 1:40pm. My daughter and I went to Village inn for a meal after having our final Covid vaccine. Hungry and looking for our skillet meal.. We promptly got seated and were handed menus. We observed other guests got seated long after us and was served water and coffee. We were ignored by a server in our isle that walked by several times without acknowledging us. After 10 minutes of being ignored I asked her if she was our server. Like a deer in the headlights she said someone will be there soon. As a 66 year old black man thats seen racism in all shapes and form. My 27 year old daughter and I felt the negative stares from the server that ignores us. As we left without service I decided to address this with the manager at the register but a lack of explanation or empathy leaves my daughter who desperately wanted to eat before taking her diaylsis medications utterly disappointed and left. Husband, mother, and I went in for dessert the other night at approximately 7pm. Waitress (Melissa) walked by us as we sat waiting for service saying, "oh well we have to close sometime tonight". My husband asked the hostess what time they closed and was informed 9pm. When Melissa returned for our order, she told my mom they didn't have her requested flavor of pie, which we informed her was on the top shelf of their case. When she brought the pie, she dropped my plate in the middle of the table, then placed my mother's and husbands in front of them, leaving mine in the middle of the table, then moved to the table behind us and informed a couple of male customers of how many "tops" she had and it wasn't fair and how another employee needed to be retrained. This was not honored by this location which was the MAIN reason I came to the Village Inn. Totally disregarded when asked why this was not the case as it clearly is a MONDAY that I visited. My waitress did not seem to care, the manager nonchalantly said we are independently owned and don't need to follow corporate. Even spoke to a manager and it was like they were so happy to disappoint me. If I hadn't already gotten my food, I would have left and gone to one of the other restaurants in the area... as there are MANY choices. The food was ok, nothing to write home about, but the waitress gave us the check when she gave us our food, not asking if we wanted anything else. I was going to order some pie. Went with a group today for lunch. They were very busy. Service a little slow but our waitress was covered up so I will say she did great. My first time having the "grown up" grilled cheese. It was delicious. Multiple cheeses and bacon! Yummy yummy! Plus it is freee pie day! That is why it was so busy. I eat there often and most always food is good. They have a special with 1/2 sandwich and either soup or salad which is a great meal. Free pie on top. Of that is a real delight. In my opinion, restaurant needs new carpet and a few updates.
