Service was unbelievably slow...waited 10 minutes after my drink for a straw...waited 45 minutes for food delivery...food was too salty. I have never tasted the dinner items but the breakfast is great. The cheap price is the icing on the cake. This is where you go for a traditional American breakfast. The grits are ok. The pancakes are supreme. It is only an 8 minute drive from my place. What else could a girl ask for.....well parking and the wait time could be better. Forgotten pancake add-on that when it came 15 mins later was cold (ball of butter on top never melted a drop). Cinnamon pancakes had chocolate chips, sent back, was told I was mistaken, they remade, magically without the chocolate chips. We deserved a visit from the manager with all the issues but I guess the server didn't think it appropriate. We paid the full bill and will never come back. We'll eat at Philly Diner or drive to a different Cracker Barrel if we're really craving. To be a fairly new location my wife and I where extremely pleased from The Hostesses warm friendly Greeting (Oneisha) to the Excellent Excellent waitressing (Imani).......That young lady was at the top of her game making sure we were good anytime she was near us from the time we sat down to when our Food was delivered. I stopped here for breakfast on the way hime from airport i simply asked for my eggs to be fried hard w cheese steak medium well...food came out steak was well done really over cooked , i sliced into my eggs and they were runny!!! First time here tonight. Our wait was forty minutes but we knew that going in since it just opened. Our waiter was great!! We knew he was new at his job so no complaints here. today my family and i went to the new cracker barrel in ridley for the first time. we had about a 30 minute wait, which was to be expected but it was well worth it. our waiters name was Mike and he was wonderful. he made the experience so easy with his knowledge and personality. he helped us navigate the menu and was very attentive! the breakfast food was very good. my favorite side i ordered was the hash brown casserole.. delicious!! overall the experience was great and i will definitely be returning to try some more menu options! read more

After giving this location two tries, it's not the best or the worst. The cat fish had great flavor; however, it was gritty. The corn muffins were not moist and sweet. If you don't like sweet cornbread, you may like them. The grits were gritty and not smooth. The mac and cheese was good. The turnip greens were seasoned perfectly while tough. The biscuits were worm and soft; however, they had a sour taste, and the fried shrimps tasted good but they were more batter than shrimps. It was a sunny afternoon, i was traveling west to visit some cousins in Colorado. I had been traveling for hours and i was running on nothing but spam and cola. I order the Sunday special. 2 boneless buttermilk fried chicken pieces. 3 sides consisting of mac and cheese, crispy caramelized apple slices, and corn. I wait about 45 minutes for my food to come out. The service was not it today chief. I scarf down my food because my cousins are expecting me by night fall. I buy some sodas for the road and get back out there. About another half hour down the road my stomach starts turning. Im trying to ignore it. Im not sure i cant. Unfortunately for me not a rest area in sight for the next 6 miles. Its now starting to feel like a civil war going on in my insides. You would think rocy balboa and adonis creed were going 12 rounds inside me. Im sweating and trying to concentrate on the road. Finally I approach the rest area. Gave this location time to kinda get its act together and was told they cleaned house and replaced some managers. Because when they first opened up it was called by the local residents "The Crappy Barrel." Just saying. When not much improvement food just well its crappy. My guess is the customers for the most part are coming from the hotels nearby and are one and done diners. When I'm twice and done here and wont be back. I normally love Cracker Barrel. But this one kinda sucks. First off why is there a million managers standing around that do absolutely nothing they definitely overhired. Second they didn't put in all the orders for our table so some of us got our meals and the others didn't get theirs until we were finished eating. Took us a bit to get silverware as well. We asked for coffee several times and didn't get it until the 5th time we asked. I'll give them 1 stars because although our server Diane was nice enough she was very new and not experienced at all. I frequent the area a lot as I usually stop by the Wendy's next door on my way home from work in Center City(lol, I take 291 to avoid 95 traffic) and was super excited to see a Cracker Barrel coming. I had only been to Cracker Barrel once in jersey and it was so good! Tonight my sister and I decided to have a little dinner date and went to the new Cracker Barrel. The place was packed and to be expected on a Friday night for a new restaurant the wait time was about 25 minutes for 2. We get seated and greeted by the server about 5 minutes later. As mentioned above she was nice but new... we got our drink orders pretty quick as did our neighbors that was seated next to us around the same time. We noticed there food came out a good 15-20 minutes before ours as well. When our orders came we had no utensils or napkins and one of my sisters sides were missing so we had to wait another 5 minutes to flag down a waitress to get that and what do you know!! The food is now cold. I didn't complain, I tried to be understanding as we had a new server and it's busy I get it but I wasn't pleased at all. None the less the food we ordered tasted alright and even placed a Togo order for the Friday fish special. Now this is where poor Diane's tip disappeared. I ordered the fish special with pinto beans and Mac and cheese and a family side of fried okra, my sister orders the same but had fried okra and Mac and cheese for the sides. Our orders came, we checked the bags and I saw I had 3 side containers! I got excited because I love fried okra so I thought the family size that I ordered was really family size! But that wasn't the case, they only put the Mac and cheese in the to go container with the fish and two side containers had okra one was the pinto beans. I was okay well, whatever. But my sister had one side and no side containers. We flagged down Diane and said we were missing a side. My sister literally had one okra on her platter. Diane walked away and came back with some other lady that asked if she could check our bags to make sure we had everything. I was taken aback because if I say I'm missing a side to go at red lobster or Olive Garden they apologize and give me my side. But I complied because I mean it's just food and we didn't have a reason to lie! my sister didn't get her side so look, this is my order. So the lady is so caught up saying one side is mine and the other is my sisters that the server had to come back and reiterate that I asked for a family size side and Diane asked her about it. So at this point 2 servers at the table looking in our bags and I felt they should've just brought out the damn okra! Now what Diane did was just put one side on my bill because as a new server she rang me up the way she knew especially since she asked the trainer or whoever she was about the family size side and she didn't tell her how to ring me up. We couldn't leave until she changed my check to add another 2.79 for my "family size" okra and even had the nerve to ask for the old slip so she could crumple it up! I felt like as a person of a particular color and size we were made to feel like we were trying to steal food or "get over" on a extra side of 2.79 okra... not a good feeling when we remained pleasant and understanding throughout but the whole time they were acting like we did something wrong when in reality your server wasn't qualified enough in her 3 days of working to be on a busy Friday shift..I won't be back.. Jersey is a little farther but I would rather go there. They didn't check my bags and treat me like I'm trying to deceive to steal food. read more

There were both positives and negatives to tonight's visit. The wait time was 45 minutes which is understandable as it is just opening and they did move through the waitlist quickly. However, when being taken to our seat we had to wait and watch the staff clean our table instead of having us wait in the lobby that extra 2 minutes which is poor serving. There is a lack of communication in which when we were seated our server took our drink order and then a red shirt person came and checked in with us every 15 seconds or so. When we informed one of the women we've had 6 people come in the last 2 minutes (which was quite annoying) she informed us it was because the middle section gets forgotten about a lot. Which did prove to be true later in the visit. After taking our order we didn't see our server until she dropped the bill without offering dessert or coffee. Our sides were forgotten and we had to wave someone down for them in which the woman was extremely rude when we asked for the sides WE PAID FOR. My mother ordered Brussels sprouts and was not informed it was a kale salad (no Brussels sprouts in sight) and her pork was bland with no gravy or seasonings. However, the country fried steak and chicken and dumplings were delicious. Service and customer service skills need to be improved by the red shirt staff who ironically appear to be the trainers? Karen was nice though giving us refills and such. Finally, a word of advice is that there is nothing to deter people from walking out on the bill because the reigister is in the shop which is so packed. As a past server that is very concerning .
