I requested some breakfast as we were heading home from Ocean City although it was lunch/dinner time but, Cracker Barrel always serves All Day Breakfast!!! I ordered my usual French Toast with a side of bacon and cheese eggs. The server was very attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. The store is always filled with goodies and specialty items. I have always had a great experience and will definitely return.

Haven't been to Cracker Barrel in years. Decided to stop here as we very rarely visit the eastern shore. Ambiance is always the same. Nothing has changed. Clean and everyone extremely helpful. Food: I was disappointed to see a couple of things were no longer on the menu, so we settled for the ol' faithful Grandma's Breakfast. I had pancakes and my husband had French toast. I also subbed spicy chicken sausage instead of the pork breakfast meats. Everything came out as expected. Drinks: he had orange juice, I had coffee. Service was very good! Our server David, took good care of us and payment was easy with mobile pay option. Again, everything was pretty good overall. Would stop again, if with others that want to stop.

Every time I come out east I always have to go to Cracker Barrel! Who doesn't love southern style of cooking aka fried and carby lol My usual go to is always country fried steak but I went just steak tonight This place is always fun from the rocking chairs outside to relax and or wait for your seating to the fun old tyme store with all the old school candies and toys and items to look at and buy I was a bit bummed out by my beignets they were kinda dry and my friends peach cobbler definitely was not one but instead looked like some deconstructed version that you'd find at some new wave kind of place But overall can't go wrong coming here for some comfort food!

I ordered the grandma sampler. The French toast was ok. The country ham was good. The sausage didn't have any flavor and I gave the bacon away. I asked for scrambled eggs, but received folded egg. I got a new order but they still folded it then chopped it up to make it look like scrambled eggs. Ummm, no thanks! The server was great though! She was very kind.

Bring back good service!!!! Bring back pre-covid service! I have seen the Cracker Barrel from the highway and thought of stopping several times. I expect good service and food so I was excited - well maybe set myself up for a huge letdown! I decided to order to go (the cashier said she had to get a waitress and I thought perfect because I had some menu questions). I have some stomach issues so I wanted to know what was in the vegetable soup. Seems like a simple question - boy was I wrong!!! After a blank stare, the waitress said she needed to get the supervisor. OK, weird flex....but I am patient. The "supervisor" - who looked like an unkept waitress came out. She already had an attitude, so I asked what is in the soup - she said they don't usually answer those type of questions - don't usually answer???? So, if someone has allergies............ NOW, I have a blank stare. She proceeds to tell me corn, onion, celery, carrots....ok, perfect I say. I didn't want tomatoes, beans, bell pepper, or mushrooms. None of that she says. I order the soup, pinto beans, and biscuit beignets. I get home, about 38 - 40 miles away AND must throw it all away! The price tag - $25 (included $10 tip - I always tip AND the bad service won't stop me). The soup - was made of a tomato base, included beans and peas.... The pinto beans - included a meat not identifiable The beignets - I did taste but didn't like, they were extremely think and doughy NOTE: I wouldn't usually complain BUT I asked what was in these before ordering....The menu did not give a breakdown of the soup. Not even a small indication. I will NOT return! The only saving grace is the store. The store has hard to find candy. I was happy to get stick candy.

Hubby brought us here for breakfast. I am not a regular diner of Cracker Barrell, so I needed extra time to view the menu. I ordered the sunrise sampler breakfast with the fried apples. Hubby had the Cracker Barrell's country boy breakfast. The food was good but we had some issues. Hubby's ham was extremely salty and we were never aware of how salty it is. Hence why I took off a star, along with the salty advisement from our server. When she asked how was everything, we advised that the ham was very salty and she told hubby we offered another option. But it was not told upon ordering that the hambis salty. Someone with high blood pressure should be made aware, especially if someone is a new diner and we are not from around that area. Per the menu, hubby was suppose to have 3 eggs with his meal, but was served 2 eggs. Overall, the food was good in spite of the salty service, we did get to shop around the gift shop.

But the wait was worth it because the food was delicious! We ordered the dozen medium crabs (only $65), which was so delicious and fresh and they gave us a few extra crabs! The seafood platter was also delicious/fresh and came with shrimp, scallops, rockfish, and a crab cake. We sat right by the water and boats, which was the cherry on top to a wonderful meal.

I'm convinced that Kent Island does not have any decent crab houses, only tourist-trappy,…read morehigh-priced, private equity-owned eateries that ship crabs in from the gulf coast and cut corners everywhere to maximize profit. Fisherman's Crab Deck is a classic example of this dilemma- I took my daughter here after picking her up from stay-over camp in Chestertown. We both wanted steamed crabs, and had been to Harris in the past and were not impressed, so we checked out Yelp and found the ratings were pretty good here, so we stopped in. First impressions are important, and after entering and following the sign to be seated, all we saw were a bunch of women gabbing away like they were sharing last night's dating stories. Eventually one came up and asked us whether we wanted inside or outside seating. We asked for a table near the water, and got seated near some clown who spent his entire time in the restaurant shouting on his phone. So, I know staff can't control what people do once seated (to an extent), but maybe this suggests what type of clients they get. Anyway, our waitress comes up and takes our drink order- I asked to sample two beers on draft that I was not familiar with- she looked at me like I wanted a free dink or something, but reluctantly told me she would "ask the bartender" if this was ok. She wasn't rude or anything, but just seem slightly annoyed at my request, as well as the entire time "serving" us. We get our drinks, order our crabs, and I got some ears of corn and crab soup. The soup was ok, the ears of corn tasted like cow corn that had been shipped in from Bangladesh- they were that bad, and at $4 a piece, this was a high crime. I didn't dare tell our server given her demeanor- I didn't want to chance a blow-up. The crabs themselves were ok- nothing special, but not bad. With that said, we ordered extra-large and got large- one trick these Kent Island crab houses have is that they undersize their crabs- extra-large are actually large, large are actually mediums, etc. No respectable crab house would do this, but I guess Fisherman's and others nearby think it's another way to make more money. Another thing I noticed is that this place doesn't use Old Bay seasoning, which is treasonous in Maryland. The server said they use their own recipe, which is about 90% salt dumped on the crabs, and saves them money. Additionally, they don't use butter to dip the crab meat in- you get liquid margarine which tastes like chemicals. Finally, their vinegar dip is not vinegar- don't ask me what it is, but it tastes terrible! For two people, our bill came to over $115, and we only ordered a half a dozen crabs. Outrageous. Bad corn, small crab sizes, no Old Bay, and a patron at the next table yacking over how his sub-contractor is over-charging his company. I won't even mention the finicky waitress. Two stars, Fisherman's- and I'm never coming back.

We remembered watching YouTube videos of the best crab cakes in MD and The Narrows Restaurant was mentioned, so we decided to stop in for a very late lunch / very early dinner. Although we didn't have reservations, they sat us at one of the only tables for 2. It was located right on the water. Obviously, we both ordered the crab cake entree (from the lunch menu) which came with 1 side. I got the mashed potatoes and my wife got the coleslaw. Side note - crab cakes here are 5 ounces. For dessert, we ordered the hot fudge sundae that included Captain Crunch cereal pieces. "Linner" was good overall. For us, sitting out in the sun was definitely not ideal, but again we didn't have reservations and there are no tables for 2 inside the restaurant. Getting in and out of the parking area was really challenging as traffic was heavy.

Very crowded and lots of servers, bus people and workers. They were all moving around with great speed, carrying big trays full of food and constantly cleaning up after a table had been vacated. It was like watching some sort of massive choreographed musical number in a Broadway show. Almost every table was full when we arrived. Conservations and laughter rang throughout the restaurant all night. The activity added to the nice ambiance of the busy dining room. The food was very good. I started out with the half and half cream of crab/Maryland vegetable crab soup. Very good! Was it the best I have ever had? Probably not but it has nothing to be ashamed of. Okay, so maybe the thickening agent (flour?) was a bit heavy but I enjoyed the heck out of that soup nonetheless. I ate every drop and wished I had more! My main course was pecan crusted halibut. OMG fantastic! A huge piece of halibut that was perfectly cooked and presented. The sauce was delightfully sweet and savory at the same time. I loved that fish! You know what else I loved at Knoxie's Table? Sarah, our server! She was friendly, talkative, efficient, helpful and really nice to be around. From the moment Sarah introduced herself, she showed us just about the sweetest disposition of anyone I have ever met. And she was a great server on top of that! Thank you, Sarah, for making our dinner at Knoxie's Table a wonderful experience. It is a bit weird to drive over 1 hour to the Eastern Shore to go to a restaurant that is not on the water. Usually, when we drive that far, we are headed to a destination restaurant with beautiful views of the Chesapeake, cool breezes off the water or something to remind ourselves that we are in a different place. Here, in Knoxie's Table, you could be anywhere. You are not on the water, there is no view of a dramatic sunset, you don't see flocks of seagulls agitating each other for a scrap of food. But you go to Knoxie's Table on the strength of the food and, in our case, the luck of having a wonderful server like Sarah. I will have other meals where I see the Chesapeake or smell the fresh air off the Bay. But I will never have a dining experience as perfect as the one I just had at Knoxie's Table. I highly recommend Knoxie's Table to one and all!

I've visited twice recently and I really enjoyed the scenic views and extensive menu. Both times I have sat outside which was in the shade and comfortable, even on the hottest days of the season. Favorites so far are the Flounder Sandwich and potato skins topped with crab dip. The burger was good too. The halibut tacos and crab bruschetta are a pass for me. Service has been great at the Dock House. The servers have to walk fairly far from the kitchen to the dockside tables and they maintain great service. Kudos to them. Speaking of dock, there is space to dock boats parallel to the bulkhead. Several small to mid-size boats were there both times I visited. I looked to see if there was a sign about the depth or rules for docking there and I didn't see anything. What I have observed is there isn't a dock hand and it's not protected so it can get a little bit of chop. A few boaters were just hanging out on their boat listening to the live music so they didn't seem to mind getting jostled when larger traffic comes through the channel. For those with land yachts or a car, there is plenty of parking and it's easy to get here right off of US-50, assuming there isn't "beach traffic." Dock House is located on the back side of the Boatel that is visible from US-50. Dock House is absolutely one of my new favorite restaurants in the Annapolis area.
