August 8, 2025 - Victoria Harbour, BC We asked the staff at our hotel where we could grab a drink and a bite in a dog-friendly spot, and they suggested Craft Beer Market--conveniently within walking distance. The huge outdoor patio stretches along the waterfront, and even without a reservation we were seated right away. Service was friendly and quick. I started with the Passion Star Martini, which was a fun little cocktail. Since we weren't super hungry, we decided to share one dish and ordered the crispy salmon sushi (steelhead salmon, crispy rice, lemon soy sriracha sauce, green onion, sesame seeds, mango purée, unagi sauce, Kewpie mayo, and serrano pepper). (I actually had to look up "Kewpie mayo"--turns out it's made with just egg yolks instead of whole eggs, giving it that extra-rich, umami flavor.) The dish was fantastic--flavorful, balanced, and just the right size for sharing. Afterward, we each ordered a glass of wine and lingered a while, enjoying the waterfront view and soaking in the happy, relaxed vibe. Not a bad way to end our first day in Victoria! read more

Food was pretty average but no complaints. Service was great and our server had some personality. Ambiance here is awesome, cool restaurant design with a bar that carries into the patio with two large doors that open making the restaurant feel very open, even if sitting inside! My mom and I came and we loved the Swift brewery there and dessert. Nothing to do with Taylor Swift but my wife turned me into a Swiftie so that was cool. The graphic design for this brewery seems very similiar to the Taylgate merch from Toronto though. read more

I came here for dinner with my work team and was pleasantly surprised with my order of the Signature Korean Sticky Ribs. The ribs were fall off the bone tender -- perfect for a soft mouth, and they were perfectly seasoned and sauced. It was extremely delicious and I still think about how good it was. I didn't count the amount of ribs, but they give so many. I was very full after. There was so much meat that there wasn't enough rice to balance the ratio of meat to carbs. Very good value in my opinion. I can't wait to go again just to have this dish. Service was pretty amazing for a large group. They included gratuity at the end as well but didn't mention it to everyone who was paying, which was a little upsetting. The ambiance is just like any pub, quite rambunctious. read more

I love this spot in Victoria! The vibe is super rustic and cool, and it's literally right on the water. They have hundreds of beers on tap and always serve up fun, creative cocktails. We arrived at 1:45pm on a Sunday for a lunch drop in. We were told there was a 35 minute wait, they took my name and phone number told me they would contact me.......... Never happened! I've been to the Craft Beer Market in English Bay and know the chain is a decent place to go, but I got dropped here at this one and The Tug Eatery took care of our parties lunch needs. If you're wanting to try a place that has serves tons of beers, this is the spot! Craft holds 300 kegs in their custom-place which is equivalent to 17,000 beers. What a cool place! Honestly, love its ambiance and atmosphere. Love the music. It's a great place to hang out, watch sports, chill and play some lawn games. The food menu looked amazing too. Sorry, but I had to give this place 1 star as their management needs a serious facelift. I get the place was under remodeling and reconstruction recently, and the staff may all be new, plus they're super young, in their early 20s at most. So there may be a lack of experience, but these guys NEED better direction, seriously. At the very least, for their "non-friends" and locals, since we tourists basically get the short end of the stick with this place. This is NOT a tourist-friendly brewery at all. We only came here since we took a water taxi ride tour where the guide/captain pointed out Craft from the water and gave us a historical rundown on the building while mentioning that it's an interesting brewery to check out if we get the chance. Well, we decided to give it a chance after the tour and walking around the famous Fan Tan Alley since Craft is less than 5 minutes walking distance from Fan Tan Alley. We made the BIG mistake of doing a walk-in situation and putting our names on the waitlist. BIG mistake, there were 20 parties ahead of us on this busy and hot Saturday, according to the waitlist on their OpenTable system. We never in a million years thought we needed to have a reservation for a Brewery, of all places and figured since the place is so huge and MOST of the waiting parties ahead of us were parties of 2 that the wait wouldn't take too long, maybe an hour at most and by then we'd probably only be on our second round of drinks. There were literally two lines at the entrance, one for walk-ins and one for reservations, and there was no one in line, by the way. Please don't do as we did; we waited two-plus hours at the bar before finally getting seated in the outdoor patio. To highlight the inexperience and lack of management, the hostess that was finally seating us took us to the wrong table apparently where there was no waitress coverage, before finally radioing to her manager to help her find the table we were supposed to be seated at in the patio area. Even the manager had to use her iPad to figure out where to put us. It was sad how unorganized they were. The upside to this fiasco was that we were super toasty and honestly enjoying ourselves at the bar, but it sucked that it took so long. Come to find out, the managers and waiters were seating their "friends" and "acquaintances" before the waiting customers. I only know this because we overheard several conversations about people's jobs, kids, parents, etc., so I figured they must know each other or go to the same school. Fyi- we weren't the only tourists waiting at the bar either, and we also were only a party of 2, so yeah. The beer was alright, exactly what you would expect, but nothing groundbreaking, and the cocktails were similar. The nachos we ordered were huge and filling but honestly, Taco Bell quality at best for $30. Overall we spent good money to try a ton of the beers and cocktails during our 2+ hour wait for patio seating, and I do not recommend it UNLESS you have a reservation or some guarantee of patio seating. These guys really think they are in Beverly Hills or something, so be prepared for the air of pretentiousness and not at all the vibe of a brewery. Better yet, skip it altogether; they'll populate it w their friends anyway. read more

Atmosphere was lively and the setting was more than pleasant. The food was pedestrian and over priced. The nachos were big but only had cheese on only about 40% of the chips and the pork portion was a couple of forkfuls. For $32, I was hoping for a little more cheese and a bit more pork. Two people ate the entire nachos. For that price you would think that it would be for a part of three or four. Another table looked like it got a fuller more cheesy serving, which is kinda bad if the portions are not consistent. The tortilla soup tasted like a smashed tomato in a bowl with some chips in it. The drinks were fine as was the service but we did have to wait - that was ok. In a city full of excellent restaurants, money can be better spent elsewhere unless you are looking strictly for ambience. Two stars for the setting. Maybe one star for the food due to the average quality and cost. read more

Recently dined at the harbour location for the first time. I regularly pursue Craft locations around BC as they are consistent with my favourite dishes. I travel for work and am a big fan of the Craft menu. Luckily working in the industry has allowed me to travel Canada and Craft is usually a staple in the cities I land. (Reposting from my experience from last week) Tonight I experienced an employee ask for assistance from the MOD to help remove heavy outdoor furniture on the patio, only to be brushed off by MOD because they were too busy (chatting, laughing from my angle). Employee continued to make many trips with furniture, visibly struggling and uncomfortable, as MOD continued with a personal conversation and disregard for the server. I recently visited Craft beer market for the first time since it re-opened. I was there with my brothers and my mother who is very cool but in her 80s. Our server was excellent and attentive and the food was quite delicious as well although my Mexican tortilla soup was tiny, a bit bland and was served with a dessert spoon not a soup spoon. Our biggest complaint though, was that the music on the patio was very loud and had a night club vibe to it- on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM! This location attracts people of all ages and the music was really inappropriate for the time of day and the mixed crowd that was there. Overall not a bad spot. Good beer selection and great staff and service but food is hit or miss. Wife had fish tacos and son had the ramen both which were fairly good. The smoked ribs however are mediocre. The highlight of the meal was the rice. Ribs were edible, accompanying chimichurri was not a chimichurri. It was a sweet ball of green goo. The accompanying slaw was basically a store bought slaw mix dumped onto the plate with no sauce. Not a bad place and has a good vibe but avoid that meal. read more

This is a really good place to go with friends for a casual drink and appetizer. It's huge so you're likely to almost always get a seat, we were sat in the porch area with heaters so it was nice and warm (although it can get a bit in the hot side as well, so wear lots of easily removable layers). It wasn't too loud (as far as most restaurants go) and I didn't find it to be horribly overwhelming or hard to talk in. It was definitely on the pricier side in my opinion, with the cheapest meal that we ordered being a $16 poutine (and it was the cheapest by a long shot). They had a really good spicy caesar, but I also got a passion fruit paloma that I found to be quite watery and bland. Most of the meals were pretty mid, everyone agreed that it was all about a solid 6-7/10. The service was lovely, our server Sasha was really chatty and friendly and was honestly the highlight of our visit. Overall I wouldn't mind going back, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Very much millennial brewery vibes, which isn't really ideal for me. Honorable mention for them being open to midnight, which is on the later side for victoria. read more

We went in really wanting to like this place but it just wasn't for us. I gave 2 stars because the hostess was pleasant and got us to a table right away and our server was engaging. I wish I could speak of the food or the beer but sadly we couldn't stay because the music was so loud we couldn't hear ourselves think, let alone talk. It was deafeningly, painfully loud. Like dance club loud. We decided to leave before ordering anything and go somewhere else. I don't expect this review to change anything on how they operate because the place was packed and other people were clearly enjoying themselves, but it was clear we were not the target demographic for this place. Putting this up here so others who would appreciate a quieter atmosphere might want to head somewhere else. Not the brewpub vibe I was expecting.
