This was my first time here. It's a cafe style so it's breakfast/lunch and a local small business. I pulled up and thought it was a delightful spot. This more of a self seat - serve so everyone orders and pays at the register, you take a number in the shape of a large playing card and someone brings your food. They have both indoor and patio seating. I order the Chicken and Waffle. It was fresh, delicious and obviously made with care. The coating on the chicken was crunchy and flavorful keeping the chicken moist. The waffle was fluffy and delicious with bacon cooked into the waffle! And fresh maple syrup. And remember those quart bottles you got delivered from the local dairy? That exists here - the local dairy sourced milk in those memorable glass bottles. The menu is a seasonal one, so things may be different for you than they were for me. If that is the case, you won't be disappointed. The menu is through a QRC code and you order at the counter or even at the table. Both options are straightforward and very easy. I met a friend for breakfast here this morning and I was a bit disappointed. I have been here many times before but it was much more crowded and busier than I had seen in the past. The parking lot was packed but I managed to find a spot. Inside was just as packed and super loud but it was no big deal. Just a surprise in comparison to other times I've been there and it was much quieter and relaxed. I will say that the ordering system is AMAZING. I love the idea of being able to come in, chit-chat and figure out what we want all while not feeling like we're holding up the waitress that comes over to ask if we're ready to order. The caveat to that is making modifications is much harder and you don't get to ask questions about certain items. I'm sure I could have. The staff was lovely and I do feel that any one of them would have stopped to answer any questions I had. Also if you're not paying attention to why the person you're with is on their phone, they can put their order in ahead of yours and your meals come out at different times. Anyway, I ordered the lemonade flight. It was delicious. I've had it before and it is hands down the most amazing little treat in the summer. You get three options and they are delicious. My friend had iced coffee and she said it was delicious. She also got the Todd Packer bagel sandwich. She raved about it before she ordered and said it's so good. I looked at it but I despise everything bagels and there was no option to get a plain bagel or another bread other than gluten free. I decided not to bother anyone with asking about a modification. I opted to go with the lemon blueberry waffle and a side of bacon. Now my friend ordered ahead of me but it didn't matter. Her food came and I just enjoyed my heavenly lemonade. However, my friend was nearly done, while other tables that came in after us started getting their drinks and food and I was still waiting. Eventually my food came out and the young lady apologized for the delay and set my food down. Honestly I should have taken a picture. The waffle was covered in a deep bluish-red sauce that was excessive. I cut a piece off and it was mushy. The waffle was not cooked through and the lemon blueberry mess made the whole thing soggy. Not to mention it was ice cold. How disappointing for $15. I pushed it to the side and enjoyed my bacon which was piping hot and cooked to perfection. When we were done which is nearly immediately after I was served, another server came over and asked if I'd like a box. I politely declined. She did ask if I wanted something else and I declined because I didn't want another long wait and because I was kind of over it. Not to be dramatic but you know that moment when the one thing you wanted is trash and you're kinda sad for a little bit? That was me kicking myself for trying something new (I usually just grab coffee or that bomb ass lemonade, not food) lol. I was also a little annoyed. You pay for your food upfront, as well as being directed to tip upfront and if it's not good, it's kind of too late to do much. $37 is insane for bacon and some(bomb ass) lemonade. Some people were waiting to order at the counter, some were standing in line to get a table, some were staying in line and ordering online And I was told you don't wait to be seated, you just grab a table once you see one open... what a mess! We finally made it up to the counter and placed our order (which one of the breakfast sandwiches was wrong) and then had to stand in the doorway waiting for our order with people constantly in and out as well as the servers going out to take food Items to the outdoor tables. I ordered the Todd packer and asked for a plain bagel instead of an everything and was told they only have everything bagels...ARE YOU SERIOUS? The food was ok but also was not cheap so I'm not sure why everyone wanted to be there. Maybe because it's the only cafe around there? This spot has always been on my list of places to check out. I just had to get out there and try it which was the only thing holding me back being that I am not close to Pendleton. After what really was only a 20 minute drive, I arrived here for a meeting and decided to grab something quick to eat beforehand. The blueberry muffin and cinnamon roll were packed up to go, and I ordered a cookie and an iced tea to snack on while I was there. Everything was delicious! I love baked goods so I couldn't go wrong with any of the choices. The service at the counter was quick and friendly. Even though they were busy, they took time with everyone to converse and were very nice. The cafe itself is a lot bigger on the inside than it looks. Just went today. Food was ok. Ordering on your phone instead of with the wait staff makes it quite sterile and the staff make it worse. When you do ask the staff for anything, they're quite emotionless and rude for no reason. It happened with 3 different staff members today so this is not a once off issue. I always try the espresso alone at any place that claims to have good coffee and it was extremely bitter. Decided to take a ride to another of my favorite coffee haunts. It was a beautiful day so my friend and I sat outside on what looked like an expanded patio area. The vibes are so relaxing here. There were 4 or 5 girls standing behind the register and none of them acknowledged us. There isn't a sign to seat yourself so we weren't sure of the process. After we asked we were told we could seat anyone and to scan the QRC at the table. I loved that process - it was quick and easy. Drinks and food came soon after. As I mentioned the food was delicious. Fries were crispy and food was hot. This would have been 5 stars but I didn't love my initial impression. We both left a tip at time of order but for what? This cafe felt like a high school cafeteria. It was noisy, and tables were lined up with hard plastic chairs. But it was clean. We observed several employees bustling about. But there was no actual service at the tables. Each table had information to place your order using the QR code printed. Worth noting, printed just under the QR code was a blurb about not lingering if the place is crowded. Your order takes you to the toast app to pay; there you're directed to automatically include a 20% tip. The Craft business model is akin to Tim Horton's - not a traditional diner. I don't mind tipping at a restaurant where you tip for service. Here no one checks up to see if everything is all right, or if you need anything. You're on your own. You do everything but bus your own table. Just like at Tim's. Despite high hopes for a new breakfast place, it was disappointing and not a pleasant experience. We won't be back. read more

I remember ordering a Banana Bread Latte and really enjoyed it. This time, I went for lunch with my sister. We split our food. We ordered the Iced Tea flight and Chicken Gyro Lunch Handheld. The tea flight came out first. Surprisingly, we both liked the Chai Palmer the best and did not care for the Peach Cherry tea. The Peach Cherry was spicy, maybe there was ginger. It just didn't hit right. The Chicken Gyro was delivered to the table and was so good. It was fresh and made to order (no onions, for me). I meant to order a side salad instead of fries, but the fries were good, so I guess it was meant to be. We sat outdoors and the weather was perfect for sitting outside. This place is super crowded. Super long wait! You have to seat yourself and unlike a typical diner, the waiters don't really check on you. I'm vegetarian, so we ordered the strawberry waffle and the Regina George toast. It was not filling enough, especially for the price! But this isn't like other diners where the waiters come to your table, so we, exhausted by the idea of standing in line again to order more food, just headed out and got more food somewhere else. We decided to give this place another chance. This time, the place continue to be vibrant and busy. The staff as usual continue to do an excellent job taking care of all the customers. Self seating with plenty of seats but it's packed especially on weekends.
