When we started, we only knew what we didn't like about our current kitchen. Like any major…read moreproject, we started by reaching out to a couple of vendors to get quotes, that's where we met Alon, the project manager for Lumina Builders. What immediately stood out to us was that he had ideas and solutions to address our pain points and make enhancements, we wouldn't have ever considered, and didn't just wait for us to tell him how we wanted things. He created a vision for us in that first quote visit. The other contractor we spoke to didn't provide any ideas just asked us how we wanted it. It was a very easy decision to go with Alon and Lumina Builders. Our project was estimated to take 2-3 months and ultimately took two and a half months to complete. We designed a brand new kitchen, addressing all of our concerns and adding a few recommendations from Alon to streamline some areas. They ripped everything out aside from the flooring and walls. We got brand new custom cabinets, custom lighting, and new countertops. Our fridge was moved to a new, more accessible area. Our sink was shifted down to align with the stove for continuity sake (never realized how much I hated it being in a corner previously). We had a new little cabinet built in our little breakfast nook area and we had an appliance garage built to house everything that took up counter space. Everything is so much brighter and more open and, even though we know the demensions are roughly the same, it feels so much wider. We are ecstatic with how everything came out. Alon is a genius. He was responsive to us throughout the project, checking in weekly to see how things were going, giving us peace of mind throughout this process, as first time remodelers. We were indecisive about the primary cabinet color (I was very worried we'd be stuck with something we didn't really like) but he worked with the cabinet makes to give us several samples to choose from. He was very patient with us. We LOVE how everything turned out! We'll definitely be using Lumina Builders for all of our future projects.

By all accounts I am an expert in landscape improvements. Omri was a joy to work with and kept every promise. We had to work through an obstructive HOA, which caused unnecessary and illegal delays, but Omri stuck with us. We also encountered an unanticipated drainage issue that we resolved together. , The fence and retaining wall are not just well-constructed; they are beautiful. If you are seeking cheap, Beyond is not for you, but if you are looking for quality that will last for decades at a reasonable price, they are a good choice.

02/13/2026 Ben…read morecontinues to say their "inspection" found no active leak and claims the water must be coming from an exterior outlet or prior waterproofing. Based on that storyline, they're refusing to take responsibility for the flooring damage. The windows were installed without permits. I brought in four independent inspections, including three licensed general contractors and one home inspector. All confirmed active water intrusion and pointed to the window installation as the likely source. Despite that, Forever Builders continues to deny, redirect, and avoid addressing the actual installation. The floors never had water intrusion before the remodel. The problem started after their work. Instead of owning it and fixing it, they've chosen to argue technicalities and wait for CSLB to force the issue. For a company that promotes itself as 5-star, this has been anything but. When serious defects surface, there's no urgency, no accountability, and no effort to stand behind the work. Just excuses. That is not 5-star service. That is not what integrity looks like.

At the time, we were very happy with our kitchen remodel and the overall experience working with Creative Design & Build. The project turned out beautifully, which is why I originally left such a positive review. Over the years, however, I noticed that one section of the flooring felt slightly soft when walking on it. At first, it did not seem serious, so we continued to live with it. Recently, the problem became worse and a section of the floor began to noticeably sink when stepped on and eventually a few edges of the flooring broke. At that point, I became concerned that it could become a safety issue. Because we still had plenty of spare flooring boards left over from the project, I attempted to replace the affected board myself. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the new board to fit correctly due to the locking system, and I could not restore the original board either. I then contacted Creative Design & Build for assistance. One reason I reached out was because our original project manager, Oded, had told us that if we ever had any issues, we should contact the company. I left a voicemail and later received a return call from a staff member. After I explained the situation, she said she would check with management and get back to me. A few days later, I received a text message stating that the warranty had expired and that no repairs would be covered. This was disappointing because I had never been informed that there was a four-year warranty period, nor was I able to find any reference to such a limitation in our contract. When I asked for details regarding the warranty and whether they could recommend someone to repair the issue, I did not receive any further response. There were two other issues relating to electrical and plumbing, however we decided to live with that until we had a major problem we needed fixing. I still appreciate the work that was done on our remodel years ago, and our kitchen remains a space we enjoy. However, I have been disappointed by the lack of follow-up and support when a problem arose. My advice to future customers is to make sure all warranty terms, coverage details, and expiration dates are clearly documented and understood before signing a contract.

After 25 years in our home we decided our kitchen and family room needed to be updated. We interviewed several well known remodeling companies including Milan Design and Build. From our first meeting with Sean Solomon Noriani he listened to our vision for the remodel and provided options for making that vision come true. He was also forthcoming about what made sense given the architecture of the house and the cost involved to make major changes to the structure. We truly appreciated that since other contractors did not provide that same consideration. Sean made three different visits to our home before we signed the contract to go with Milan Design and Build. He was extremely patient with our questions and concerns and answered each in detail. We did not want to start our project right away due to our travel schedule which he was extremely accommodating. Once we agreed on a start date he offered to have a crew pack up our kitchen and family room. We declined but his crew did move our heavy furniture. All of the staff that was in our home treated it as if it was their own. They were all on time and arrived when Sean said they would be. Sean informed us every day what was happening and who would be at our home. The crew cleaned up at the end of the day as appropriate and were always courteous to us. All of the staff are true master craftsman of their trade. We had hardwood floors installed and they were perfectly installed. There was one board that was discolored from all of the rest. We did not notice it immediately. Although the entire first floor was installed, they pulled the one board and replaced it, no questions asked. We also fell in love with the custom cabinets we saw in another of Sean's clients. Again, true master craftsmanship. We love the quality and style of our new custom cabinets. Sean was extremely helpful with picking out the exact right color of blue and grey. Not an easy task. Sean has an awesome eye for design. We had chosen a quartzite that we liked. Sean met us at the vendor to look at it and to be sure to get a discounted price. When he saw it he politely said he wasn't sure if it was going to go with the cabinet colors we had chosen. He then spent a few hours with us going to different stores to find just the right countertop. We are elated with the quartz he helped us chose. Without his help we may have made a very expensive mistake. Sean also made sure with every item we purchased that we got the very best pricing. He saved us $4000 in flooring by shopping around and getting a better price. We have never had another contractor do that. Sean is the best in our book! As the project progressed we decided we wanted other things done above our original contract such as re-staining oak book cases and a new fireplace surround. Each time Sean was understanding and gave us a very fair price for the additional work. Just as our project was winding down our water heater failed and we woke up to water in our garage. We called Sean and he had a plumber come within an hour and we had a tankless water heater installed within a few days. At the end of our project he had a cleaning crew come and clean the house including washing the windows, cleaning the shutters every surface, and the floors. It felt so good to have everything cleaned and smelling fresh after all the dust from construction. The project came in at the price he quoted us originally except for the items we added. The project took three months. With regards to responsiveness and availability, Sean is always available and extremely quick to respond. He was at our home each and every day, sometimes multiple times a day during our project. If we were out of town he kept us up to date via text or phone call along with photos of the progress. He also sent us ideas from Amazon, found the perfect coffee table to go with our new sofa and ideas on how to organize our new cabinets. From start to finish, my experience with Milan Design + Build was excellent! When I first walked into the showroom, I met Abby, who was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout my entire whole-house remodel. My Project Manager, Sean Shlomo Noriani, was outstanding. He stayed in constant communication with me, sending daily photos and frequent progress updates throughout the project. Since I chose to move out of the house to help expedite the work, everything moved quickly and smoothly. This was a major remodel on a 70-year-old home, including a full kitchen renovation, two full bathroom remodels, removing walls, expanding closets, replacing windows, removing popcorn ceilings, installing new flooring throughout, adding insulation, enlarging the garage door, redoing the front façade, and completing new stucco and paint. The initial design was good, but together we landed on something even better because they actually listened and engaged. Never once felt like we were being told what to do. Timeline and contractor coordination? On point. There was a moment where a trade was running behind and we raised it -- they took the feedback well and kept things moving. There was also a moment where we pushed back on the slab count and rather than brushing us off, they looped in the right people to work it through with us. That's just good business. What really stands out though is the design thoughtfulness. They respected our very specific taste while also gently steering us toward choices we'd love long-term. And they brought ideas we never would've come up with -- like building in an air switch cutout -- little details that make everyday life in the kitchen so much nicer. Came in pretty much on time. We love our kitchen every single day. Highly, highly recommend Noma to anyone looking for a team that genuinely cares about the outcome.

They were reasonably priced, and worked cleanly. They're very good at communicating. Mike, the owner, was very straightforward explaining the scope and cost of the project. Yulia in the office was great at keeping up up-to-date about when a certain trade would be coming and Yuki was our project manager who'd come by every few days to check on the progress. If I had any questions I would tell Yuki and she'd get me answers. We will definitely call them again for a next remodeling project.

I was updated with pictures throughout the process. We had a hiccup with low water pressure when we came back, but Guy came out to personally take care of it, so it was resolved quickly (stop valve had not been fully opened). I wouldn't hesitate to come back to them for any future remodeling.
